Finally watched Inside Out 2 with some friends the other day. I actually really liked it and I thought it was a fun movie and got the theatre experience and I think it was just as good as the first movie! 😄💛🤬❤️🤢💚😢💙😱💜

I have always been a fanfiction boy I'm sorry... I don't know many "actual" books... But back in school "Fahrenheit 451" didn't let me sleep lol. It's about a biopolitical government who demands the firefighters no longer stop fires, but start them, by burning books (books are illegal)

It's pretty cool, but if I'm allowed to talk about my favorite fan-fiction, I HAVE to say, "Markdoka Magica!" by @bonkerbuster69 on A03 LIKE. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I HAVE READ?!?! IT MADE ME CRYYYYYY!!!!!!! It's about Mark discovering and accepting herself as a trans girl SNIFF SNIFF everyone should read it 😭😭😭

And in second place there's "The perks of being in love" (orphan_account) which is a 2015 fanfic on AO3 about Wirt (Over the Garden Wall) and Dipper (Gravity Falls) and their slow burn romance in highschool GAHH the corniest thing but it low-key made me realize I was on the ace spectrum AND high key was the start of my love for poetry so it kinda had a big impact on my life LMAOO

As for books again, I will say "Dear Evan Hansen" too but just because there isn't a space for "favorite musical" heh

Fave movie:

I don't watch many movies either lol but I have to say Luca (yes, the one from pixar). It brings me the biggest sensation of comfort any sort of media has ever made me feel, and I had a bigg hyperfixation with it for over two years so yeah. It's special.

Honorable mention to The Bad Guys too (I'm not a furry I swear (?))

Fave show:

OHOHOHO!!!! I wouldn't know... Both Gravity Falls and Over the Garden Wall fight for the first place with fists and teeth. Every time a hyperfixation is over I just go back to them

That's in general. Currently tho, of course I'm OBSESSED with Craig of the Creek and especially the Elders, 1. for the comfort sensation it gives, 2. It's surprisingly funny and 3. The way they approach certain, more serious topics in a friendly way for kids. I love to see it with my lil sister and she loves the show too.

Roommate!Simon who wakes up in the middle of the night, his chaotic sleeping schedule getting the best of him. Struggling to make as little noise as possible, he exits his bedroom and heads to the kitchen to make himself a cup of tea

Roommate!Simon who stops dead in his tracks when he realises that you must have left the TV on, the blue faint glow of the screen projecting shadows on the wooden floor. He strides towards the coffee table to grab the remote control, when you rise from the blanket you'd been wrapped in, scaring the sh*t out of him

Roommate!Simon who instinctively reaches for the Ka-Bar knife he always keeps in his boot, only to realize that there is no way he could conceal such a weapon in the fluffy slippers he's currently wearing. He rolls his eyes in defeat and throws you a questioning look, the frown on his face deepening even more upon seeing what you were looking at- a Disney Pixar movie.

Roommate!Simon who pretends to be annoyed and keeps grumbling to himself as he heads into the kitchen, but ends up preparing two cups of tea and empties a bag of popcorn into a big plastic bowl

Roommate!Simon who just lays the tea on the coffee table and places the popcorn on the couch, lunging for the blanket that is still wrapped around your figure. You roll your eyes at his fake cold demeanour and lift a corner of the blanket as a silent invitation for him to join you

Roommate!Simon who ends up taking three-quarters of the blanket and eats all of the popcorn while his eyes are glued to the screen. Fighting for the last quarter of the blanket, you can't help but openly stare at his maskless figure, greedily taking in every detail that you can perceive in the faint light emitted by the TV

Roommate!Simon who ends up throwing an arm across the couch, pulling your body closer to his and wrapping the blanket around both so that your head is pressed against his chest. The tea's gone cold on the small coffee table, but it doesn't stop Ghost's eyes from getting heavy, his tired mind relishing in the rhythmic sound of your heartbeat

Roommate!Simon who falls asleep on the couch, holding you fast in his embrace and gently resting his head atop yours as the Disney movie keeps playing in the background. He won't tell anyone, but he hasn't slept that well in a long time.

Modern RDR 2 headcanons because they make me laugh, so I'll write one.

Arthur:

Definitely ends up driving everyone to the movie theater.

Also, the designated member who buys everyone's snacks and drinks (except Pearson).

He gets cranky when this happens, but stubbornly does it.

He would like action movies and Western films for he understands the cowboy world.

If Arthur had TB in the modern world, he would annoy everyone with his coughing but not give a damn.

Pearson:

He's obsessed with Popcorn.

One of those people who munches and slurps too loudly.

He probably sits alone.

I imagine he would get an extra-large popcorn but don't even think about him sharing.

He would also get a large soda.

1. “Let’s watch some movies from Studio Ghibli (or Disney, or Pixar)!”

Every evening was a kind of ritual and the best form of relaxation for you, your husband and your two children; first you had supper together (usually delicious sandwiches with cheese and lots of vegetables, baked sausages and oatmeal cookies that your daughters absolutely loved), then it was time for a bath full of fun and laughter – your girls liked so much spending time in a bathtub filled with white foam. They also enjoyed to splash William with water and thus pretend to be two cute whales. At the very end, it was always time for fairy tales and conversations between the four of you. Of course, your daughters were the ones who set the rules so they always chose your evening entertainment. With a bowl full of popcorn, hot tea and dimmed lights, everything seemed to have its own unique atmosphere. When winter comes, the only light brighten up the living room were golden Christmas lights and candles. However, due to the fact that it was currently summer, only one small lamp in the corner of the room was on, not disturbing anything.

“... Let’s watch some movies from Disney!” Lily – your older daughter – screamed and jumping on the couch, and you just laughed as you turned on the TV. Netflix really was a useful thing in your apartment and you definitely couldn’t function without it. Especially when you had two kids.

“Yes!” Added your younger one – Sophia – and William caught her mid-jump and sat her down on the mattress, handing her a bowl of still-warm popcorn. “Let’s watch some movies from Disney!” She repeated the words of her sister two years older than her, then busied herself eating the salt corn, which crunched loudly in her mouth.

“I want to see Ariel!”

“Mommy, no! Please, please play movie with Merida! I miss Merida!” She spat a few grains onto the sheets. William sighed as he picked them all and placed everything on a handkerchief on the glass table next to the huge sofa.

“Hmm... How about Mulan?” You asked quite seriously, putting your hand on your left hip in the process. In your right hand you held a small black remote control and you were ready to turn on one of the fairy tales on the platform. Your daughters looked at you with wide eyes, then at each other and squealed happily, clapping their hands and nodding their heads in agreement. You sighed with relief. In the last month, you’ve watched ‘The Little Mermaid’ twelve times and ‘Brave’ fifteen times...

“Mulan! Mulan!” They screamed as they ran across the couch and you turned on the movie. William, on the other hand, tried to calm your kids, fearing that one of them would fall or, worse, break something. Although your daughters were your perfect little versions, they definitely had Albert’s character...

“Shush, peanuts! Focus on watching Mulan and Mushu’s adventures!” Your husband said seriously, though out of the corner of your eye you saw him fighting the urge to laugh at the sight of your laughing children.

When the Disney fairy tale began, and you sat next to the younger girl, you turned your head slightly to your partner, who was watching the well-known story with curiosity.

“... Wouldn’t you like to have third daughter?” You asked with a chuckle escaping your lips and William raised his right eyebrow.

“I’d prefer a son... At least we could watch ‘Cars’ or ‘Toy Story’...” He replied quite seriously and you just grabbed your stomach lightly. In the darkness, however, your beloved did not notice it.

Well... Maybe this time you both will have the son Will wants? But you didn’t want to tell your husband yet. His birthday was coming up soon, so you tried to keep it a secret until that day and make it a present.

Caregiver!Joel Miller Headcanons

It may be obvious, but Joel is an extremely protective caregiver. Be ready for a lot of warnings and “be careful’s!” from anything about how fast you’re running down the sidewalk to how hot your food is when he sets it in front of you.

There was one time where you tripped and scraped your knee, dissolving into tears on the sidewalk. It was of to no surprise to Joel, but he would never let out nor even think of saying “I told you so” when you were distraught. Instead, he was quick to scoop you up into his arms, low voice rumbling in his chest as he soothed your scrape with gentle words. “I got you, sweetheart. You’re okay.”

Naturally a loving father figure, he’s amazing at making sure that you’re cared for not only physically, but also emotionally. Little you mentioned how much you love boxed max n cheese? He’s keeping every single box he lays his eyes on and making it for you when you’re having a difficult day or are feeling especially small.

Or if you’re too little to do the buttons on your shirt up yourself he’ll be more than happy to help you, tapping you under on the chin when he gets to the top button just to see your smile and hear you giggle.

He loves to take you to do outdoorsy things, even if it’s not your most favourite thing to do in the world. But he finds a way to make it fun for both you and him! If he wants to go fishing, he’s putting a bucket hat on your head and lathering your face in sunscreen before handing you a little basket that you can go collect rocks in!

Queue you tugging on his flannel shirt to show him the prettiest rock you found and Joel reeling in his fishing rod just to straighten your hat and admire your collection.

Joel also loves to have movie nights with you when you’re regressed. He lets you pick the movie and snacks of course, because let’s be honest, he’s a little bit of a pushover. Disney? Pixar? Anything opposite or in between? Joel will manage to find it for you and let you curl up in his lap and lay your head on his chest with a big bowl of popcorn.

He’ll also softly sing along to his favourite songs if you’re watching a musical of any sorts.

This also leads to special lullabies from Joel that no one knows about aside from you. He’ll tuck you in bed with your blankets under your chin, and will sit on the edge of your bed to strum away at his guitar. Some nights just a gentle tune on his guitar will put you to sleep, where other nights it’s the low timbre of his singing voice that soothes you.

When you’re little you even beg him to put on concerts for you and your stuffed animals. “But Daddy- y-you said y’wanted to be a singer!” He groans but always ends up giving in to your pleading. You’re his baby, after all.

Overall, Joel is a spectacular caregiver who always tends to your needs and sees you as his precious little one. <3

so real. they always end up watching some random Pixar movie with the kids or smth, and if Eve seems to be especially missing Adam that time, then she will send straight up death glares to hear, but Lute doesn’t care and just ends up being a smug little bitch with a smug little smile.

elemental has turned around at the box office and gone from flop to doing well. it seems this is pretty much entirely because of word of mouth. maybe theres other factors im not considering, but thats pretty fucking impressive.

and i think it deserves it tbh. it is far from perfect, but it might be my favorite pixar film of the 20s so far. granted, the bar isn't as high as the 10s or 00s, but hey, the decade is young. its pretty good!

i think what i liked about it was mainly that it was really emotionally sincere. like. its not too snide or self-aware, it just deeply cares about its characters and is totally committed to the world.

so many newer pixar flicks have this "popcorn filler" middle where there's zany antics that barely connect to the emotional journey. this movie doesn't. its all about these two main characters bonding in a way i found organic and compelling. and there's very little cringe humor. that one annoying tree guy is basically just in it for two seconds. idk why disney marketing still (wrongly) believes that kind of eyebrow wiggle humor is popular, because that made the movie look WAY worse.

anyway. its definitely good for a movie that was written off en-masse as cringey and generic and a lazy race metaphor. i don't think its any of these things. i think the main creative voice speaking about their own immigrant experiences does the job in a decent way.
