#please tag your posts properly

Every day in this COD fandom, I fight the urge to comment on people's posts, asking them to please tag an x reader fic as fem!reader instead of just x reader. Because it's clearly fem!reader (they use feminine terms to reference/address Reader) and tags exist for a reason.

And every day I have to fight the urge because it seems rude, so I have to read every x reader fic and know that it's so, so likely that it's an untagged female reader fic.

some people really need to learn how to properly tag their posts. especially people within celebrity fandoms.

does your post about a celebrity or a photo of the celebrity involve the character they played at all within the post? no? then do not tag that character. if it just random photos of the actor or actress themselves with no images of their character role anywhere in the images or not at all referenced within the post itself.. DO NOT TAG THE CHARACTER.

People are searching up the CHARACTER'S NAME because they want to SEE THE CHARACTER. if they want to JUST see the actor or actress who PLAYED the character.. They could just type in the actor or actresses name??

please tag your posts properly. please stop tag spamming because you want your posts to get seen by more people, you are clogging up tags with unrelated posts.

If you wanna see a loser bitch get mad as hell tell a fanfic writer to PROPERLY tag their fic as rape. Not just write "noncon" in the post but go into the notes and actually tag it as "tw rape" because they get mad asf when you call them out on it. How the fuck am I supposed to find good smut fics when each and everyone of yall are sexualizing and romanticizing rape and using the excuse that it's "dark content" no nigga you're fucking weird. This is a rant, just fair warning to that.

I was scrolling through the "simon ghost riley" tag and like one post was labeled f!reader but it didn't get filtered via the filtered post-content thing because there was a space between f! and reader. Like I just...

How hard is it to tag your posts "simon ghost riley x female reader"? Or "simon ghost riley x f!reader" or whatever tag for the female reader stuff. But no, most of the time the posts are just tagged "simon ghost riley x you" and/or "simon ghost riley x reader" and most of the posts that get filtered are filtered via words that are in the post. And even then I still get female reader stuff because you don't even specify which reader it is until I read "my girl", "my woman", "she", or, and this is the most common thing, it's afab genitalia.

Please tag your posts correctly. Or at least label them in post. Because reader isn't just female!reader.

So fucking pissed at people who say that hyperspecific labels “make the queer community look bad” or “is just pure attention seeking”, NO MF I JUST LIKE HAVING A NAME FOR THINGS I FEEL.

Like, my situation with gender is so fucking complicated that having a person coin something such as “dazegender” was so good to me, and I still have a complicated relationship with gender !! I’m so glad for whoever coined the term “Omnisexual/romantic” because it would've been a living nightmare to do mental gymnastics to feel like I fitted pan or bi.

“But those are spectrums” do people treat them as such ? Do they really ? Plus it's just difficult to my head to grasp the concept of “spectrum” it either is or is not, that's how my brain works personally. (My brain needs to be able to name things, basically. And also to know exactly what to do, if we're talking about chores, per say).

In today's generation so many people (me included) just find it SO HARD to put their feelings into words that it is genuinely a blessing to have labels that can label what we feel so precisely (to us, at least), “but you're overcomplicating something that should be simple” feelings are so far from being simple, honestly, and what is simple to you may not be to me, and that's okay, just don't call me attention seeking or whatever.

Also, also !! Hyperspecific labels/flags just make me (at least) feel more validated, since it makes it clear to me that I'm not alone in the way I feel and it kinda validates me (in a good way) :] And it's the Queer Community after all, so I think it's past the time we start actually acting like that.

I’ve just come across something on here which is a little bit irritating. I’ve blocked a certain tag, but if I click on the post then I can make it appear. I did it on one post this morning purely out of curiosity. And what the post was beneath the block had NOTHING to do with the tag I’d blocked.

Can people please stop putting tags on posts that don’t apply? People who then block certain tags may not be seeing the posts and might like them, because you’ve tagged it with something completely irrelevant.

Please, please, please tag your posts with stuff that applies. It feels like people are tagging posts with random shit just to get views/likes/reblogs etc.
