How would each of the Riddlers react to being told by someone that they enjoy their company? Like someone talks to him, enjoys doing it, and tells him up front they they think he’s cool, fun to hang out with, and that they genuinely like him. How would the boys take such a compliment?

Unburied - Of course, you do. He's so cool! And smart! Who wouldn't want a friend like him? Inside he's a little worried that this is just a ploy to get something from him, but he'll ride this high out for as long as he can.

ZY - Honestly, he's a little baffled. He's gotten so used to everyone telling him how obnoxious he is that his brain short circuits for a second. However, he's quick to recover, immediately going into a classic rant on how his company is probably making you smarter and that's why you would say something like this.

Dano - Tears. He's never really had a friend, so having someone who's willing to listen to his grievances is like waking up in a whole new world. This is what life is supposed to be like? This is friendship and kindness? No wonder people always told him to try and make a friend.

YJ - Blushing and giggling. Oh! That's great! heh. He likes your company too. Then he starts to think and tells you that he really does appreciate you saying that. Sometimes it's hard for him to tell who actually cares, so you saying that really puts his mind at ease. So, thank you.

Gotham - "Hm, I enjoy our conversations too. Even if I do most of the talking". Insert muppet smile. Finally, it's about time he had a good friend. He's been trying so hard for so long to fit in, and this time it just came naturally without him having to struggle.

BTAA - Huh? You do?...I mean, of course you do! You get to learn something new every time you see him, and that's great. You said that once, right? Since you mention it, you wouldn't be interested in becoming part of the team would you? Make this duo of him and Miss Tuesday into a trio! Then he'll outnumber the Batman and his stupid sidekick!

Arkham - What are you going on about now? Did you hit your head on something and rattle that miniscule brain around? He's insufferable! A sign of his superior intellect, he says. But on the inside, he's gasping and crying with the knowledge that there could be someone out there that won't absolutely despise him and his riddles.

BTAS - Well, that's very kind. It's been so long since someone said something nice to him without expecting something in return from him. So, it's a breath of fresh air to have a true confidant once again. Expect to be more involved in his work moving forward.

In fact they are antagonists, besides Barbara Gordon who gets kicked out of the force. Also Riddler is Indian, since his voice actor is Hasan Minhaj!

There was nothing like the feeling of taking your shoes off by your front door at the end of a tiring shift from work. Edward did not rush to take his shoes off, no simply kicking his shoes off as nudging it aside, no, he takes the time to unlace his shoes and neatly set it aside for tomorrow.

He would typically announce himself when he would arrive home, but it was kate and he figured you were sleeping by now. Quietly setting his baggage aside, hanging his coat and scarf, he was a touch confused why the lights were still on... Unless...

He treads lightly and peeks from the threshold of the kitchen to see you tending to some dishes with headphones on, your head and hips swaying to whatever music you were listening to. If Edward were to lean at the slightest, he would make out the faintest hint of what you were listening to.

It's so precious to see you like this and he could honestly watch you all day doing this... But he would like his scheduled kiss, please.

Gently knocking on the door, he catches your attention almost immediately, as you haphazardly yank your headphones and hang them by your neck, before turning to face Edward. Glee lights your features and Edward takes this as is cue to come forward and claim that kiss.

"Eddie! You're back!" You lean over to press your lips against his cheek, before continuing with the dishes. "How was work?"

"Well I got to dissect a cadaver today! Well, until the coroner caught me......." As Edward went on about his day, seating himself by the counter while you do the dishes, smiling endearingly at him.

He haphazardly reaches for his phone from his pocket, making his way through a wave of passerby's on a busy Friday. Flurries of 'sorry's and 'excuse me's flew from his mouth in a panic while simultaneously hunting your contact number in his phone list, wincing at the amount of 'where are you?' texts from you.

Thirty minutes. You've been waiting for THIRTY MINUTES OH MY GOD HE US SUCH A MONSTER--

"Hey," your light voice speaks through the speaker after a series of rings.

"HI! UM..." Edward ears his throat for a moment when he felt a certain tightness in it that will possibly result to an embarrassing voice crack. "I am so so sorry I'm running late right now! I-I'm on my way! I promise I'll be there soon!"

"No need to apologize. I was actually worried you wouldn't come."

"I will! Just a little longer, okay? Gosh I'm such a idiot, sorry I didn't mean to be late! I-- fuck um... I'm so sorry I'll be there soon."

"No no, don't apologize. Be safe."

"Okay. Bye."

💚 Batman the animated series

Despite your reassurances, he figured it was best not to take advantage of your saintly patient and step on it. He pockets his phone and shoves himself through the crowd.

Let me tell you, he practically sprinted out of the subway when he finally arrived and he spots you outside a café, hands on his knees and in need of breath. Your back was turned, evidently oblivious to the world with your headphones on. He gathers himself first by catching his breath, before he treads forward to meet you.

Upon approaching, he can hear the faintest singing coming from you. At first he was a touch hesitant to tap your shoulder, wanting to hear more of your voice, but he figured he had already made you wait for long. Getting over it, he taps your shoulder.

You immediately placed your headphones around your neck and turned behind you with a smile. "Eddie! You're here!"

... of course he would, couldn't miss it for the world.

You just bought a new house and what great way to celebrate it by making a competition? A design your own office competition, where you had managed to drag a mutual friend to judge. Now, despite the competition, Edward was nothing short but a gentleman who helped you carry objects to your office and maybe take a peak from your office to better improve his.

As he was taking a small break to wait for his first layer of paint to dry (painted his walls a shade of green, of course, sage green to be exact), he figured to look upon yours for funsies. Nonchalantly wandering over the halls and leans upon the door frame. Upon reaching you, he saw you seated by the floor with a construction paper, a pencil tucked on your ear and a ruler, humming to yourself. Squinting further, he saw your sketch for your blocking.

"Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down~"

He merely smiles at the sight of you giddily lining your sketch with various notes and labels, he gsthered himself a sight of your office and retrieves back to his, planning to make his even better than yours.

💚 Batman Unburied

Eddie woke up to a side of an empty bed and groans. Where the fuck are you?

After relishing the remnant of warmth under the covers and perhaps cursing your name, he hurls himself to a sitting position and feels for his glasses on the bedside table. Upon placing his pair of spectacles, he begrudgingly kicks himself off the bed and sluggishly treads through the halls in search of you.

Since when did you behgin to wake up early anyways???

Turning to a corridor, he pauses and hides behind the wall. Ever so slightly, he peaks from the threshold of the door when he spotted you performing a stiff choreography of some common pop song while cooking some breakfast.

God he wished he brought his phone with him right now... But he supposes watching you suffices.

Satisfied with what he has seen, considering it had been dragging on way too long, he decided to cut it short. Silent on every step of the way, you jumped from your skin when his hands land on your shoulder.

"Eddie!" He can only laugh at your stern voice of warning, readying himself if ever you decide to strike him with the spatula.

"Good morning to you too," he dryly jests, before pressing a noisy kiss on your cheek.

just finished listening to the Spotify DC podcasts and i have some opinions

The Flash: Escape from the Midnight Circus

Interesting story, not what i expected from a flash podcast. It was… odd. Alfred was a DJ? Captain Cold rapped? Barry is depowered for most of it (like flashpoint) it’s actually a lot like flashpoint tbh. it shows barry attempting to go back in time and fix a problem but it goes wrong and he ends up in an alternate reality where everything is terrible. but in midnight circus barry goes back in time for a much more selfish reason. Iris kind of breaks up with him. but he could have tried to fix their relationship but instead of the LOGICAL THING he goes back in time to stop himself from missing an award ceremony which is the reason iris broke up with him. but instead of ending up back in time he ends up in the body of an alternate universe version of him, who is in a death game reality tv show called the Midnight Circus. I’m not gonna say anything else about the story because i feel like i’ve spoiled too much to begin with. Cons, Barry isn’t a very likable character, not at all the fault of the actor, entirely the fault of the writers. and also it bears the curse of being associated with the DCEU flash movie.

Batman: Unburied

Amazing podcast, fantastic voice cast, truly the podcast of all time. It stars mortician Bruce Wayne who is NOT Batman. he is obsessed with a serial killer called the harvester who steals the organs of his victims. then during a routine autopsy the harvester breaks into the morgue and stabs bruce. bruce survives and we meet thomas and martha wayne. bruce’s obsession spirals even further as the harvester calls him in his home and leaves him a little present in the fridge. i cant really talk about it much more because of spoilers BUT Barbara Gordon and Edward Nygma are in this podcast as well and Ed is the best part of the whole podcast.

The Riddler: Secrets in the Dark

somehow even better than Unburied! It stars Edward Nygma, aka the best part of Batman: Unburied and OH MY GOD it is so good. basically there’s a deranged vigilante who is murdering costumed criminals. it gets personal when the vigilante kills Jervis Tetch. a friend of Ed’s. and Detective Flass who SUCKS tells Ed that he will also be moved to the asylum that Jervis was transferred to. naturally Ed breaks out along with Waylon Jones and begins to investigate. the mo of the killer is a lot like that of Batman. curved blades were used to kill him, and apparently the killer had wings? Ed is attacked by the killer and he cuts an X into his chest and he is rescued by Batman. that’s all i will tell.

please listen to all of these. Escape the Midnight Circus is optional but the batman ones are NOT!

i know the thing about comics you said was like 2 days ago, but if you're still interested please read poison ivy: thorns! it requires no prior reading and it only takes like 20 minutes to read, the art is very pretty and it's a comic i think you'll like!! 🐈🤍!!

another comic i think you would like is batman: the knight! it's a pretty good comic but its longer than the poison ivy one and i have some... issues with the last few issues (see get it it's funny because i didn't like them and they're comic issues)

if you find it hard to get into comics then you could listen to the batman unburied podcast which is essentially the plot of hannibal but batman is will graham! and if you want longer comics then i'd recommend batgirl: (2000) or blue beetle (2016)!

(if you want a comic based movie then there's the batman 2022 and there's a blue beetle movie coming out soon)

all in all dc can definitely be hard to get into so if you're just looking to get into funny comics in general u could probably jjsy read x men or archie comics or smth

u don't need a whole lot of prior knowledge to get into this one!!!! it's probably. my fav podcast of all time. and one of my fav dc medias of all time also. there's some pretty disturbing content (one of the main villains is a cannibal serial killer, and the first few eps have some Really Bad Sensory Sounds that almost made me stop listening the first time around BUT they're very short and only for the first couple episodes iirc) ALSO the mcelroy brothers voice some background characters which I think you might find fun !!! during my second time listening, after listening to taz I was doing the pointing leonardo dicaprio lmaooo <3 and tbh it has some of my FAVORITE characterizations of all the characters. and it also has theeeee babygirlest version of the riddler to ever exist <3 the cast is also AMAZING. honestly I could ramble about this podcast for DAYS but just know that it's highly highly recommended !!

i think he'd try anything if he thought it would make you happy

but you wouldn't enjoy it, because he'd be so tense and nervous the whole time, which is not what you want from him

so the idea of taking that unwillingly, even as a form of roleplay, is something that'll take a lot of thought

AHHHHHHH such an excellent question…. So while im always going to be partial to comics batman media i genuinely do hold a LOT of love in my heart for tons of other adaptations of him!

i think it’s genuinely a toss up between batman unburied and the batman WHICH FEELS LIKE SUCH A COP OUT BECAUSE THEYRE BOTH SO RECENT but they’re genuinely both sooooo good! really high on the list are also batman forever, which is a SPECTACULARLY terrible movie that is an absolute DELIGHT to watch when you’re sick with a fever, and… does the under the red hood movie count? it’s one of the most faithful comic book adaptations out there, but it’s still technically an adaptation…?? ahhh! he’s also cute in lego dc supervillains! AND LEGO BATMAN GAMES!!!! and of course holy musical b@man, while not OFFICIAL, is a genuinely hysterical and well-written piece of parody that honors the source material pretty well.

but really yeah i think batman unburied and the batman are two of the most well-crafted pieces of batman media made in the last 20 years. they are genuinely SO fucking good. please if you haven’t yet listen to batman unburied it is PHENOMENAL and i promise you’ll like it. and watch the batman! i know it got really mainstream really quick but it genuinely lives up to the hype and is worth the runtime and robert pattinson REALLY sells the whole “bruce wayne is an eccentric weirdo with no people skills pre-dick grayson”.
