This show really sells the raw empathy of having a tight knit queer community who can offer understanding and acceptance as well as the raw terror of what would happen if a funded and powerful network of infiltrators got eyes on you and your community.

do any other (traumagenic or not) systems have a gatekeeper who's part of their management layer that physically makes your alters?? I'm starting to feel like it's a bit weird that one of my uppermost gatekeepers creates all of us and we don't just spawn in, I don't know what it means about us, if it's just visualization or what, but she can choose to do it, can be asked to do it if it's necessary, and decides amongst upper management when we get new alters and from what material they're made (splitting directly off of one alter, made of bits of several alters, split within an alter/subsystem, etc) whenever we're in a stressful or traumatic situation, or have asked for someone new. does anybody relate??

someone who formed in headspace that, while having information about the system and its headspace, cannot find their way out of where they formed, or a certain area in headspace. they can also be considered a form of a scout! these members may or may not be able to front and can be essentially locked or tied to the place. other members of the system may or may not be able to visit them, and pass by the area.

But like, it's really weird we've only been around for qhat we feel like has only ever been a few years and seeing the ripple effects.

It just kind of turned into A Thing at some point, and we don't remember a whole "coining" being made. We don't think we ever responded to it but we think we even remember the thread where the golden infinity symbol was suggested (the rainbow one is supposed to be the GENERAL neurodivergency symbol, we won't stop them but it grates on us so much to see younger folks be so misinformed and use it as an autism one and we're only 25 brainbodywise).

The same vaguely happened for system admin, which is why pluralpedia doesn't show any known coiner for it — that was very intentional/by design from us, because we knew there was a specific something about them but we were having quite a time trying to define them. We think that's also why it's such a vague role term (because it is! It was really just short for "administrative function" when we first came up with it and we were a smaller system).

SYSTEM ADMINS were initially described by us on a discord server, but it seems that server is now defunct or deleted, so we wouldn't be able to grab the screenshot we need. We did, however, find a few attempts to describe admins predating the pluralpedia entry:
