This Thursday, the 15th of May, at 14:30, our ex-president Borut Pahor will talk to Bojan Cvjetićanin live from Portorož. JokerOutSubs will be there, covering it all live on our social media platforms.

What happens when former President of the Republic of Slovenia, politician and diplomat Borut Pahor invites Bojan Cvjetićanin, the charismatic frontman of the band Joker Out, to the microphone? A true spectacle! Don’t miss this year’s Mastercard's® Podcast of Inspiration. Bojan Cvjetićanin (Joker Out)

Bojan Cvjetićanin, the charismatic frontman of Joker Out, is writing a new chapter in Slovenian music history. With his sincerity, dedication, and boundless energy, he has become the voice of a young generation and co-creator of milestone moments, including his performance at Eurovision 2023. With their signature sound and extraordinary stage presence, Joker Out captivates audiences at home and abroad.

His influence extends far beyond music — young people across Europe are learning Slovene because of him, bringing dictionaries to concerts and enthusiastically exploring Slovenian culture. In addition to music, Bojan is making his mark as an actor in TV series and films, showcasing his versatility and artistic depth. His creativity, maturity, and passion for art inspire younger generations and shape the modern Slovenian music and cultural scene. With his talent and work, he is leaving a lasting legacy that transcends music.

Borut Pahor

President of the Republic of Slovenia (2012–2022), Founder and Director of the Friends of Western Balkans institute

Borut Pahor has dedicated his political career to:

Democracy (30 years of testimony and shaping the transition from communism to democracy in Central and Eastern Europe),

The future of an increasingly united, free, and peaceful European Union,

National reconciliation and the promotion of peace and dialogue,

The European perspective of the Western Balkans.

He was the long-time leader of the Brdo-Brijuni Process, a joint initiative he co-founded as Prime Minister with Croatian colleague Jadranka Kosor to drive political and general development in the Western Balkans and its Euro-Atlantic integration. The Brdo-Brijuni Process inspired other high-level initiatives, including the Berlin Process.

He has received several high-level state decorations from various countries. He has also been awarded the following academic honours:

Honorary doctorates from the University of Lisbon and New University in Ljubljana for reconciliation efforts and the common European project (2022),

The “Sigillum Magnum”, the highest honour of the University of Bologna, awarded to the most influential people (2021),

The “Alcide De Gasperi: Builders of Europe” award from the Government of the Autonomous Province of Trento for contributions to European integration,

Patron of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA), recently awarded the EASA Ring of Tolerance.

Borut Pahor was born on the 2nd of November 1963 in Postojna. He holds a university degree in political science with a focus on international relations. In 1987, he received the Prešeren and Zore Awards for his thesis at the then Faculty of Sociology, Political Science and Journalism in Ljubljana.

He has a son, Luka, with attorney Tanja Pečar. He speaks English and Italian fluently, some French, and enjoys doing sports in his free time.

2000–2004: President of the National Assembly of Slovenia

2004–2008: Member of the European Parliament

2008–2012: Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia

Podzielność uwagi a ADHD

Nigdy nie słuchałam audiobooków ani podkastów, bo 1. problemy z przetwarzaniem słuchowym, 2. nie jestem się ZA NIC w stanie skupić na samych mówionych słowach, one do mojej głowy po prostu nie docierają albo natychmiast się rozpraszam. Jestem hardkorowym wzrokowcem – czyli najlepiej, jak do dźwięku mam też obraz oraz napisy. Bo jak widzę literki, to wiem, co znaczą dźwięki.

Ostatnio jednak wpadłam na pomysł, by puścić sobie podkast w tle, gdy robię korektę techniczną tekstu. Czyli wiecie, muszę się ogólnie skupić na tym, co dłubię, żeby wyłapać wszystkie źle oznaczone nagłówki, źle wstawione cudzysłowy, dywizy zamiast półpauzy i inne pierdoły. I co się okazało? Że jakby mój mózg miał się skupić tylko na korekcie, no to nie za bardzo, za trudne. A jakby miał się skupić tylko na podkaście, to też nie, za trudne. Skupić się na dwóch kompletnie różnych treściach w tych w samym czasie? A to bardzo fajnie, bardzo miło, od razu się łatwiej pracuje.To chyba jedna z tych supermocy ADHD czy coś.

PS. Ale nie wczytuję się ze zrozumieniem w tekst, który obrabiam, aż taka mocarna nie jestem.

hej osobo OPująca, czy znasz może jakieś warte uwagi podcasty po polsku?

hm. ojej. to może zróbmy z tego pytanie do publiczności, bo po prawdzie to ja po polsku słucham tylko Radia Naukowego (wywiady z polskimi naukowcami wszelkich dziedzin), Historii na2głosy (wywiady z pracownikami Wydziału Historii UW), i czasami Szafy Melomana (o muzyce klasycznej) albo NeoTalku (podkast Wydziału Neofilologii UW, wszelkie tematy humanistyczne), a nie jestem pewna, czy to typ podkastu, o jaki ci chodzi. Od moich znajomych leci jeszcze Podkast amerykański (polityka i zagadnienia społeczne współczesnego USA) i Podcastex - podcast o latach 90. i 00.

zjedzone — 1200 kcal

but i can see us lost in the memory august slipped away...odczuwam wczesno sierpniową motywację do życia. wczoraj wieczorem słuchając muzyki przy świecy. zrobiłam sobie tracker nawyków na nowy miesiąc. prócz oczywistości jak ćwiczenia czy dieta 1200 kcal było tam również nie używanie telefonu 20 minut po wstaniu. okazało się to zaskakująco łatwe, wystarczyło odłożyć go na szafkę zamiast brać ze sobą do łóżka przed snem. po przebudzeniu zamiast niego wzięłam dziennik, zrobiłam pielęgnację twarzy i z 20 minut zrobiła się godzina.

wykonałam też moje wczorajsze postanowienie, aby jeść posiłki z moją mamą (w zasadzie to jeden bo wszystkich byłoby niemożliwe, wstajemy o innych godzinach + ja mam ed czy musze więcej wyjaśniać?) i trochę brakowało mi oglądania obiadu do posiłku ale są rzeczy ważne i ważniejsze. od dziecka jestem małomówna co już jest takim standardem w mojej rodzinie i mam wrażenie że wszyscy są przyzwyczajeni do tego że mogą siedzieć ze mną godzinę i ja się nie odezwę. to jedna z takich moich cech osobowości których nie potrafię wyjaśnić skąd się wzięła, ale co mnie zmusiło do refleksji ostatnio — zawsze miałam problem z rozmawianiem z moim rodzeństwem. oni byli starsi, po 20 lub w jej okolicach gdy ja miałam dajmy na to 10 lat, moja najstarsza siostra jest 15 lat starsza, a jak byłam młodsza masakrycznie wstydziłam się dorosłych. ten typ dziecka co płacze przed wizytą u lekarza w poczekalni, jakiś miły obcy dziadzio podchodzi i próbuje uprzejmie je pocieszyć, a ono ryczy jeszcze bardziej (prawdziwa historia). z kolei z moją mamą gadało mi się normalnie, w końcu z nią mieszkałam, czas spędzałam (ale nie jako�� dużo bo moja mama to ten typ mamy że jak pokazywałam jej obrazek jaki dostałam lub ocene jakąś to nie odwracając się mówiła "fajnie"). w ostatnich latach ta zależność mega się zmieniłam, z rodzeństwem mam o wiele luźniejszą relację, z mamą tematów nam brakuje.

zrobiłam dziś angielski, wleciał podkast, pilates, rozciąganie i trening także dzień niemal idealny, oby takich więcej (najlepiej cały sierpień)
