Just a lil sneak peak of what’s to come
"You're going to call off that storm." He spoke in a dead, flat tone. One that struck fear in the hearts of many and commanded respect.
Poseidon's triumphant smirk stretched further across his face, twisting his features with sadistic glee.
"Or what? You can't kill me," he taunted. Odysseus slowly shifted his gaze back onto him.
"Exactly."
Odysseus stalked closer, like a lone wolf closing in on a kill. Poseidon's grin faltered once he realized Odysseus was still coming towards him.
"Wait-" his eyes darted to where his trident now rested at the soldier's feet. "Wait!"
And then Odysseus smirked.
"Oh no. By the time I'm through with you, you're gonna wish I stabbed you instead," he said matter of factly.
Poseidon sneered, lurching forward threateningly. "What?"
But before he could say another word, the King of Ithica was straddling his hips, shoving his back against the rocks. He blinked in shock, at a complete loss for words.
"Cruelty comes in all shapes and sizes," Odysseus said, cracking his knuckles for emphasis. "Even ones you don't expect," he went on to crack his neck, rolling his shoulders just to drag out the anticipation.
Poseidon could've thrown him off, but he was curious where the mortal was going with this.
"Do your worst."
"I intend to."

Perhaps one of my favorite bits so far
Ichor was never meant to mix with mortal flesh. It burns and eats mortals into nothingness, unless it comes in contact with a mortal already carrying blood of the gods by birth. Even trace amounts. When that happens, a reaction occurs. A godling is made. But there's nothing Poseidon can do, pinned to rock by his very own weapon. So he's forced to witness, can do nothing but agree as the magics of spilled god, trace amounts of divinity, and the power of the deal merge. Create a god fueled by hate. Distantly he realizes this is why divine beings were never meant to lay with mortals, yet here they are. Sure, Zeus may banish the new immortal, but there's nothing they can do to kill him now that he's become one of them.

The flow of Ocean from Percy’s eyes stops, and dries up. It leaves behind glimmering Sea Salt on his face.  Percy stands up and walks back to the cabin, cupping the seashell to his heart. He swears he could make out his dads voice in the crescendo of the waves on the beach but he could just be hearing things again, like in the Labyrinth, but he finds he misses the sound of it dearly . His pajamas are still damp with Ocean despite Percy willing himself to dry. It’s partly his grasp still solidifying over the domain of the sea.  And partly his dad clinging to him, not wanting to part with his son. The ocean water drip-drops from his pj’s and into the sand dunes, plinking down like tears.

[...]Penelope sighs, brushing her lips over his temple lightly before she takes a step back, drawing Odysseus with her again. “Come with me, please. You can tell me more today if you need to, or wait a little while longer, but come and stay with me, my love.”

Now. (What?) by Be_Weird_Have_Fun
“Now get in the water.”
There’s something almost casual to Poseidon’s tone.
“Get in the water.”
Harder, now; the sea curls noose-like around his ankles. “Get in, dear king, or I’ll raise the tides so high all of Ithaca will die—”
—and he finds that he cannot see the sky through the rising waves, and he thinks that maybe this is too fitting an end for a child-murderer, betrayer of promises, the ender of those who did not deserve their fates, and maybe his men would understand if he does this for their families and friends and Penelope—“
—get in the water.”
Odysseus is tired. He obeys.
(In a world where our hero is just that bit more worn down, his story goes down a different path.). Ongoing, 5k words.
*** ** * ** ***
Chap 1:
The understanding that he hasn’t been breathing comes late as the years he’s lost at sea, but the thought has hardly the time to settle before it’s cold and it’s dark and it’s Polites and Eurylochus and Diomedes and Circe and Telemachus and Penelope and he is   Odysseus of Ithaca closes his eyes. It is not him that opens them again.

Woo, one scene of eight done for my Billy Batson vs. Poseidon fic! Snippet below the read more:
“You can count on me, Cap’n!” Captain Marvel answered with a salute. He took off into the air.
Within moments, he was hovering above the swirling whirlpool. He wasn’t sure how big whirlpools were supposed to get, but this one seemed kind of small. Easy enough to stop if he pulled a trick out of the Flash’s book and flew around it underwater in the opposite direction.
Before the Captain could take action, however, he was interrupted by a strange sight: the whirlpool was rising. The water inexplicably swirled upwards into the air, easily reaching thirty feet, just a few feet short of where Captain Marvel was hovering. From there, the water spun faster and faster as it coalesced into the form of a man with long hair and dressed in a watery chiton and chlamys. The man’s body was only formed from the waist up, whatever legs he might have had unseen below the ocean’s roiling surface.
Captain Marvel got a sinking feeling in his gut. This couldn’t be good. He ran through his mental list of bad guys, trying to think if any of them were made of water and also sixty feet tall. He came up blank.
He might as well figure out what this dude’s deal was, then. Floating down to the water man’s eye level, Captain Marvel waved in greeting. “Hey, mister… ocean guy! What brings you here?” He tried to smile as invitingly as he could.
The water man’s eyes didn’t have discernible pupils, but Captain Marvel could still feel his gaze turn to him. Those eyes had a weight to them, ancient and imposing.
The water man spoke. “Are you the one responsible for saving that sinking ship?” He sounded pissed.
Captain Marvel rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. “Yeah, I am. Got everyone to shore, safe and sound. Why, did you already call dibs on saving them?”
The water composing the giant’s body swirled faster. “No, I did not. Begone from my sight, little Champion,” he demanded. “I have an unfinished task to complete.”
Crap. The Captain put on a false grin; best to try and keep things from escalating. “Hey, you know who I am! That’s cool, that’s cool,” he said. “But, well, it sounds like you have a bone to pick with the people who were on that ship, and, you know, I kinda can’t let you hurt them. If you try something, I’m gonna have to stop you, mister water giant.”
The man laughed at that. Captain Marvel could feel the sound of it vibrating in his bones, and he could swear he heard the earth shake in response, even at the bottom of the sea.
After a few minutes, the giant’s laughter finally quieted, and he spoke, all mirth bled from his voice. “You have no idea of that which you trifle, boy.” He drew out the word, condescending and dismissive. “I am Sea-Lord and Earth-Shaker! You mortals once venerated me as Lord of the Underworld—most of your world is my domain!” He leaned in close to Captain Marvel, face mere feet away as his watery hair flowed out to surround the Captain. “And you think you can stop me from taking those ants’ lives?”
Double crap.
This guy was Poseidon.
He was talking to Poseidon.

okay! here's the first poseidon 'snippet' . this takes place before and during this scene!
second snippet
there's a masterlist now!
hope you guys enjoy! ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧
*a few months after poseidon had left apollo’s infirmary finally all free of holes all healed up*
*up on olympus*
zeus: *bored outta his godly mind after 20 years of entertainment (especially those last 10 years)*
zeus: *suddenly struck with an idea*
zeus: *to no one in particular* i think i’m going to go pay my brother a visit… just to check on how he is…
zeus: *disappears in a flash of lightning*
hera: *entering the room*
hera: *stares at the scorch marks on the ground where zeus just was*
hera: *to herself* as long as its nothing to do with a woman or illegitimate child… then i don’t care.
*below the sea in poseidon’s palace*
*poseidon enjoying some peace and quiet; when in a flash, zeus on one of his very rare visits, appears in front of him*
zeus: *looking around the room* so… how are things?
poseidon:
poseidon: *sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose*
poseidon: what do you want zeus?
zeus: *ignoring poseidon’s question* where’s your queen?
poseidon: amphitrite is out visiting her sisters…wait never mind that-
poseidon: what do you want?
zeus: *now looking at poseidon* can’t i come see my big brother?
poseidon: you never bother, unless you want something.
poseidon: *anger now in his voice* so out with it.
zeus: *putting his hands up in front of him* whoa! no need to get angry…
zeus: *putting his hands down and a smirk appears* ...remember how that ended for you last time?
zeus: *smirk gets bigger* how you let odysseus beat you like that, i have no idea…
poseidon: *glaring at zeus* do not speak that name in my home
zeus: why my dear brother? are you perhaps… scared?
poseidon: *falling right into zeus provocations*
poseidon: i am NOT scared of that mons- mortal!
poseidon: he merely took advantage of my state after using a lot of my power!
zeus: *under his breath to himself* that power still didn’t kill him though, did it?
zeus: *to poseidon this time* but you’re not in that state now, are you? nor have you been since you left olympus… so what’s holding you back now?
poseidon: *raising an eyebrow at zeus* holding me back from what?
zeus: *knows he has poseidon hook, line and sinker*
zeus: i understand you can no longer hurt him or his family; unless you want to incur the wrath of my daughter… and i suppose even my wife
zeus: but you can make trouble for him still, can’t you?
poseidon:
zeus: *notices the slight hesitation*
zeus: or maybe you are truly fearful of him now? the mighty god of the seas, terrified of a mortal king.
poseidon: *blinks and then goes back to glaring at zeus*
poseidon: i told you i am not sca-
zeus: -then what’s stopping you?
poseidon: NOTH- *coughs* nothing.
poseidon: *crosses his arms and looks away from zeus*
zeus: *laughs knowing he’s done what he came here to do*
zeus: well, i shouldn’t stay too long away from olympus... enjoy the rest of your day brother.
zeus: *disappears in another flash of lightning*
poseidon: *looks at the scorch marks on his floor*
poseidon: he always leaves a mess…
poseidon: *thinking over the conversation again*
poseidon: i’ll show him who’s scared.
*outside the shores of ithaca*
poseidon: *looking the nice clear weather and seeing the merchant ships coming to and from ithaca*
poseidon: it would be a shame if something disrupted this...
poseidon: *smirks* *summons his trident & lifts it to the sky*
*the wind picks up and storm clouds quickly start forming*
poseidon: *can hear distant shouts of mortals reacting to the sudden storm*
poseidon: *laughs to himself* perfect.
poseidon: well, i guess i’ll leave this to brew. i’ll check back later to see what damage has happe-
poseidon: *a full body shiver comes over him out of nowhere*
poseidon: *turns to look at the ithacan docks where he can see..a mortal?*
poseidon: why i am i bothered by that mo-
poseidon: *sees deep red eyes and realises who the mortal is*
poseidon: -oh no.
*the king of ithaca odysseus stands there, glaring into the storm*
odysseus: *in a cold voice* I am going sailing with my son. There will be no issues, is that understood?
poseidon: *even though he knows odysseus can’t hear him* aye aye captain!
poseidon: *with a whimper calls off the storm immediately and quickly dives back under the water*
poseidon: *before he can completely leave, he can hear the voice of odysseus saying “good.”*
poseidon: *about to head straight back home but pauses*
poseidon: *remembers odysseus said he was going sailing with his son*
poseidon: *knows he may be god of the sea, but he can’t always be there to control what the residents of said sea get up too*
poseidon: maybe i should just make sure there’s nothing to make him angrier at me
poseidon: *secretly follows & stays near odysseus’ and telemachus’ ship*

My Thoughts On The Vengeance Saga!
I’m Not Sorry For Loving You: I feel we pretty much had the full song before hand? So it’s not too much new? But the vocals were so pretty!! Definitely the most grounded song in the saga!
Dangerous: First of all- the little Full Speed Ahead? With the 600 men bit? That had me so emotional already- the fact that there was no response when he said ‘with one goal in mind’ and there was a silence where they normally would have said ‘make it back alive to our homeland’. THEN HERMES IS BACK! WITH THE WINIONS???? AND THEY HAVE THE BAG AGAIN FOR HIM??? I went crazy over that- did they get Aeolus’ help? Did the winions go rogue and since they liked Odysseus they trapped it themselves??? Anyways. RUTHLESSNESS MENTION.
Charybdis: I love the overall vibe of this song! Again- very much like the snippets we heard- but that doesn’t make it less awesome! (I will also say I loved durning the animatic when he started getting all blurred with his speed). HE SAW ITHACA AND IT WAS SO TOUCHING THEN HE DIDNT GET TO GET THERE YET!!!
Get In The Water: I LOVE THE OPENING INSTRUMENTAL PART. CHILLS. I was screaming- I still am screaming as I relisten to it! POLITES, EURYLOCHUS, AND ANYICLEA JUMPSCARE! One of the songs that I feel so much better about listening to this morning, with just the music and none of the chaos of last night or the stream.
Six Hundred Strike: Okay- lots of thoughts on this one folks- the Six Hundred Men being chanted part? Amazing- does that count as when I said the vocals of his crew would be back? HE WILL GET BACK TO HIS SON. AND HE WILL GET BACK TO HIS WIFE. He avenged his comrades!!!!
Speaking from a position of just listening to the song instead of the provided visuals- I visualize something different happening. Like in terms of the wind bag, I like the idea it is used to blow away the layers of Poseidons water shell- to leave just him in the middle. And then the 600 Strike bit- perhaps the ghosts of all his crew appear and each get their own strike at Poseidon, with Odysseus dealing the last one before Poseidon starts singing again?
YOU IDIOT got me. THE ODYSSEUS’ WENT ABSOLUTELY FERAL? STABBING POSEIDON??? LIKE WHAT? I WAS SCREAMING- the raw vocals were amazing too-
