Bad Batch is almost over so I'm going to ramble. If anyone can relate, please reply or reblog. Share what this show has meant to you, share your thoughts, share theories, tag people. Let's give it a send off.

Star Wars has been a massive part of my life for years.

I loved everything about the Clone Wars, the world building, the character development for the jedi, but most of all the clones. As someone who finds it hard to read faces, it was fun getting to know each of the clones as individuals with their own personalities and I actually never had any issues telling them apart. It hits hard, I think that's what makes their stories even more tragic.

Echo and Fives are my favourite Star Wars characters so I was really happy when Echo came back in Clone Wars season 7. That was why I decided to watch the Bad Batch- it then became my favourite series.

I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do when this show ends. I think the hardest part is not knowing what the galaxy has in store for the batch and where it could go from here. Whatever happens I’ll always be grateful for the experiences I've had as part of this community over the last few years.

I think that's what's great about being part of a fandom. Seeing all the different ideas and projects that get put out there every day as well as knowing everyone else is in just as much suspense as I am. I haven't interacted on here that much until the last few months, but I check the tags a lot and all the fanart has been immaculate. The writers and artists are crazy talented and work so hard, I admire the level of dedication and aspire to be like that. 😂

I'm also really grateful for the three seasons we got with Clone Force 99.

Seeing Echo go from a shiny in the Clone Wars to becoming who he is now. (I could talk about that for ages, but I'll save that for another post.)

Seeing Crosshair regain his trust in the batch and get to change.

Seeing Hunter step up for his brothers and Omega.

Seeing more sides to Wrecker's strength.

Seeing Omega go from that kid who'd never seen dirt before to learning from her brothers and proving how brave she is.

And lastly, seeing Tech make the choice he did back in season 2. It wasn't easy to watch, because he deserved more time and there was definitely a massive hole in season 3 without him.

I'm not ready to say goodbye to any of them.

My favourite episodes in season 1 were the last few, when Kamino fell. It was the end of an era as well as a new beginning.

My favourite episode in season 2 was episode 8. I was really proud of Echo, plus he got a hug from Omega which I have admittedly rewatched far too many times.

My favourite episodes in season 3 were episodes 13 and 14. The stakes have been so high and it's been great seeing Echo's ARC skills in action again. (Plus the dialogue with Rampart was top tier. Hate that guy, but it was hilarious.)

I'm well aware of all the theories for the finale. I'm choosing to ignore most of them, but I’d like to present my own.

I hope Echo gets to finish what Fives started and the clones can finally be free, including Tech if he's CX2. I hope the batch gets to burn Tantiss to the ground and fly off into the sunset with Omega and the kids from the vault, and then I hope they continue a lifetime of bullying Rampart. I also hope Emerie gets to whack Hemlock with a steel chair, and then the Zillo beast can eat him.

…After all, Star Wars is based on hope, right?

Hey just a little information, the person @/darkeliite you just reblogged "grumpy toji" from is reposting AI art massively with their watermark on it and pretending it's their real art. It's a disgrace to all actual artists. I'd avdise you to blog them and maybe post about it so others now.

I am sorry I couldn't reply to this earlier because that was a part of queue and i've been busy but thank you sm for informing!! I actually reverse searched their other "artworks" that they claim as their own (I couldn't find the toji one anywhere except on Pinterest maybe cause some of them got deleted/removed from the apps) and you're right it's neither theirs and all of them are ai, here are the one's I found and the tags under them:

this is the deviantart account these are from. their latest this gojo art is from janitorai and they're not even the same watermark/artist, which is basically stealing but from ai.

Ahem. Besides the HCs I have mentioned here, I certainly have more bc oh boy, this ship got me wrapped in its silly little subtly toxic spiderweb.

So mainly, I have the HC that Vil started using flowers to express his feelings (both positive AND negative! Flowers can be indeed used to insult) towards Leona - But he didn't understand until Ruggie had pointed out that the "choice of flowers is odd" (He may know only know which flowers are edible and which aren't but my boy is smart). Leona then realized that Vil was secretly communicating with him, so he started to hit the books for a bit to reply in the same language. First, he found it stupid and used it in a sarcastic/snarky way but he started to slowly love it when he realized that no one really knew what was going on - Just that both Vil and Leona had random flowers popping up in their rooms, their favorite places and their desks (only the two of them knew the flowers were from each other). Then, at some point, Leona received a bouquet with following flowers (after studying them, he found out about their Victorian meaning - The preferred choice of language of Vil [Leona was basing himself on the more modern "translation"]): Buttercup (= "You are radiant with charm"), Camellia (= "Longing for you"), Cornflower (= Hope in Love), pansy (= "You occupy my thoughts") and a single tulip (= "I declare my love for you"). Vil waited for a week or so to receive an answer, already giving up on it when a single red rose was lying in front of his door.

For one, this one has been inspired by a fanart - Unfortunately I do not remember the artist or post (if you know: Please do link it in the comments and/or the reblogs or let me know about it, so I can link it‼️). In said Fanart, Leona and Vil has exchanged flowers to send a little message and well, I think I've expressed yesterday for a little how much I adore the language of flowers. So naturally, I'm falling in love with a fanart that uses said language to express even the slightest.

Since I personally believe that Leona is not only depressed but also has the lean to.. quit. I "like" (not in the way I'd enjoy it but I can see it) to imagine that he had one (1) attempt to leave - But it has been prevented by Vil. Not intentionally, mind you. Vil has walked in on Leona, who was midst doing the deed (I personally believe he'd go for a wound-free, "Falling asleep" kind - Therefore some kind of overdose and/or poisoning. Not really "Falling asleep peacefully" but idk, it just makes sense to me, so bear with me). Leona, who basically was on the edge of passing out forever, having severe issues with what he had consumed and then Mr. Perfect (Vil) walks in on him, thinking he just ate something that was already bad, so he stays. Talks to him. Keeps him aware, conscious. Alive. No one except Leona himself knows the truth, he just went with the excuse of having eaten something that has gone bad.

Vil definitely fell first, Leoma fell harder. Or better said: Vil fell slowly but obviously, Leona was just suddenly struck by "Oh shit, it's love" out of nowhere.

[While they're dating] Leonas closet is missing at least five shirts and to this day, the lion blames Ruggie - Fully unaware that the poor hyena hasn't done anything wrong this time. In fact, if Leona would've taken a single closer look in Vils closet, he would've known where his shirts have gone. Vil took them and usually wears them when going to sleep (bc that way, no one knows he owns them nor will anyone know that they're dating to begin with).

They're getting mutually annoyed by Rooks' not so subtle presence in the background (he got locked at least twice in a room, so they could go on a secret date).

It’s wild how shipping culture has changed so drastically over time on the internet.

In the old days people shipped characters who either had only one line of dialogue with each other, never even met, or not even from the same piece of media. It was the wild west and sure some ships were uncomfortable but people had the mindset to just block the tag and stay away from ships they didn’t enjoy.

Nowadays? It’s more like people have to clarify that their ship isn’t canon compliant, character adjacent, and story irrelevant otherwise they get a flood of comments saying “but this character isn’t like this in canon” and some people legitimately get angry if you’re not following the canon.

Like- shipping and fandom culture from what I understand it is about engaging with media in a way that caters to you. And if you don’t like a ship or show just… block the relevant tags and don’t engage in the ships? The internet isn’t supposed to cater to us- we have to cater ourselves to our internet environment. And no matter how many times people may harass others over a fandom or ship they don’t like, those ships are not gonna disappear.

The internet has just been getting worse when people have decided to place morality in their opinions by saying things like “if you enjoy the ship then you support (insert horrible thing here that’s usually completely unrelated to the ship itself)” when it used to be “eh, not my thing” and people just moved on.

And for the record this isn’t about a specific ship or anything- just an observation of how fandom has evolved (and regressed) over the years and I find it fascinating from a sociological perspective cause we still don’t know how having the internet from birth affects the development of kids and how that affects how they interact with others- isn’t that scary?

I know that’s slightly unrelated but the way people engage in media has been changing over they years and that also involves fandom and the maturity level thereof in the internet space and someone smarter than me could probably write a whole thesis paper about fandom culture and how the internet has hindered the social development of people and how that affects community specifically from a fandom lens.

Just- for your sanity younger internet children: it’s not worth harassing others over something as trivial as ‘it’s not canon that this character kisses another character.’ Just find ships you like. Block ships you don’t. And just enjoy your time doing what you like!

You can’t control the internet but you can nurture your little corner of it.
