How Many Post-Credits Scenes Does Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Have?
How Many Post-Credits Scenes Does Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Have?
After what felt like “forever”, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now in theaters, and if you’re a Marvel fan you know what that means – time for post-credits scenes! The latest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe is quite the significant one. It’s the sequel to one of Marvel’s most profitable and culturally significant projects of all time. It also represents the near conclusion of Phase 4…

John Ruins a Wedding [MSPFA]

Your name is JOHN EGBERT. You are an increasingly isolated young adult living alone in a house you once shared with your late father, which sounds like the perfect formula for a QUARTER-LIFE CRISIS, but nah, you're good. You cannot reliably mark crises by the portion of your life that has gone by anyway, seeing as you are CONDITIONALLY IMMORTAL.
It is a balmy summer evening. You are watching a random episode of a NONDESCRIPT FICTIONAL ACTION DRAMA CRIME SERIES and not paying very much attention. What will you do?

I was curious about Noah Hawley's other works, so I started Legion after Fargo. I just finished season 1 and it was a little overwhelming at first, but I've been liking it so far! The music/sound design are great and I really love the visuals. The characters are fun and interesting with David and "Lenny" being standouts for me. - joe keery anon 🎱
:'))) omg!! legion's one of my most rewatched shows. i'm happy you like it! the sound and visuals are so thoughtfully done, and i was always such a fan of the directors they had. it's kind of an anomaly in terms of how much creative freedom noah hawley had with marvel ip. the second and third seasons are just as fun but there's definitely some polarizing opinions around them, but def worth the watch still. also YES, dan stevens is soooo good and seeing aubrey plaza in legion was like.. life changing for me..
i'd be curious to hear what you think of lucy in the sky if you ever watch it!! i also dug into noah hawley's stuff and found that he's much more suited to long form storytelling, but it was super interesting to see all the visual similarities between his works.

I think one of my problems with the "Akechi dying is better for the themes of P5R and Joker's character growth and mourning" is like... Okay, but what about Akechi? That framing makes Akechi more of an object to Joker's character, IMO, whereas I think that him surviving in the max confidants ending has so much fascinating potential for Akechi having to live with his mistakes and move forward. He went in expecting to die, to have a simple final act of freedom... But I think him being forced to keep living, to face every day one at a time, to find ways to make peace with what he did and live in the world is just infinitely more compelling from a storytelling standpoint. For Akechi, I think it's a better outcome because it's lacking in elegant simplicity. Even if he lives, he was still willing to die for the sake of everyone's freedom. His survival doesn't erase that. It may "lessen" Joker's choice to reject Maruki's reality, but I think it also makes accepting that reality incredibly cruel, when a strong enough bond with him is enough to save his life and make a miracle happen. Mona describes the world itself as cognition. In P5's vanilla ending, he says it was the PT's bonds that allowed him to continue to exist as a cat in the real world. Given the significance of a maxed confidant making him appear in the postcredits, I believe that it is very simple to read his survival being because of that bond. That wish that they both shared, as confirmed by the Royal artbook. If you prefer exploring the grief and mourning, that's completely fair, but I think there are many ways to interpret Royal's themes, and Akechi living in a harsh reality where you can't escape your past but you can heal and do better is still very on point with what P5R is all about. Unlike P3, which centers more heavily on death, P5R simply touches on it as a part of its greater narrative. And even in P3, you can save a certain character from death via player choice and connections. So, yeah. :p

We learned in a Game Informer article that during the prologue of the game,
As you traverse deeper and deeper into Solas’ hideout, more of his murals appear on the walls, and things 'get more elven’. Rhodes says “this is because you’re symbolically going back in time, as Minrathous is a city built by mages on the bones of what was originally the home of the elves” At the heart of Solas’ hideout is his personal eluvian [original post]
The scenes being described here were among the ones that had been edited out of the gameplay reveal video. The rest of the scenes in the new NVIDIA trailer are from the prologue of the game, so maybe these images from it are too?
Image 1: Solas' eluvian? Maybe the one in his Minrathous hideout?
Image 2: On either side of the room is a Fen'Harel statue standing in attendance. they look to me like this one, only these good boys are also holding lanterns very helpfully :) In the center of the room in the foreground, is that coal? like maybe the area enclosed in the gold ring sometimes lights up on fire like a brazier? just a lightsource, or maybe part of a puzzle? In the right hand side of the room in the corner is what looks like a lootable chest. In the center of the room is a desk and chair[?]. if this room is somewhere in Solas' Minrathous hideout (or a Solas hideout), I guess this is Solas' desk and chair? ^^ on the other side of the room opposite the desk, some complicated-looking instruments. :)
also in Image 2, the central focus is the elven tree statue. the tree statue asset is found all over DA:I in ancient elfy places, including Fen'Harel's mountain ruins in Trespasser, the area in the DA:I postcredits scene when Solas kills Flemythal, the Crossroads, and the Dead Hand puzzle in Ghilan'nain's Grove.

Here's another quote about Solas' hideout.
“[Neve] informs us that Solas has a hideout beneath a nearby statue, and lo and behold, it is Solas’ hideout. He has painted murals around it, magic is used uniquely even by Tevinter standards, and at the end awaits a beautiful Eluvian” [source]
