I’m not sure if you’ll see this or even want to answer it but I’d love your advice! Recently I’ve gotten into yautja and have been wanting to write for them but I need a bit of help. Any pointers?? <3

Apologies that this took me so so long to get to! I am still here but I'm more of a passive observer in a lot of ways these days! I don't particularly write all that much due to a lot of things going off this year but I do always still check my activity on here - AND MY ASK BOX!

Yautja although mythical have a hell of a lot of lore online. The wiki page is STOCKED with all the knowledge you could probably ever need on them.

THEY COME FROM A PRETTY WARM PLANET WHICH IS PRETTY TROPICAL - but there's also variety on their home world and they're pretty adaptable so you can plonk them in ALL ENVIRONMENTS FOR FUN.

You can always make your own OCs! There are lots of in lore Yautja that are very cool. One of my faves is Big Mama! But you really don't have to make your stories about ones which are already around.

They have a female orientated society according to most of their history so males tend to be smaller but just as scary. The females are usually in high leading roles! Keep this in mind.

Although they are cute... they're deadly and most of them are not kind to people. You can play on this so many ways in your writing. Curious alien or SCARY alien. Its your choice!

⟢ if you're vaguely familiar with A/B/O it's typical heat shit where they get antsy and horny and all that but they also get a little more agitated and prone to starting fights because of the hormonal fluctuation they're going through

⟢ i feel like most yautja like it rough regardless though?? their society considers combat as a whole an art form and a means to rite of passage so it's not surprising that they'd probably get in the mood if there was a bit of roughhousing involved beforehand

⟢ there's something about seeing the triumphant face of your love interest as they hold a weapon over you that just gets a dude goin yknow

AWFUL FOUL WRETCHED HORRIBLE. PREDATOR 2018 DOESN'T EXIST. IT'S NOT REAL. IT CAN'T HURT YOU--

that movie is just. awful. besides the ablesim it also just shits on ALL the reestablished lore for the Yautja. there was an entire game about how altering their DNA like that was frowned upon in their culture. They don't even take Predaliens as trophies because they consider them abominations.

the first two Predator movies were the best ones and I stand by that. Predators was okay, Predator 2 was my favorite and added more to the Yautja and the first Predator is a classic. The Predator is easily the weakest of the movies. I can't say anything about Prey because I haven't seen it yet but I hear it's good. though after 2018 the bar was probably pretty low.

While picking up our 4K copy of Prey they had these lil Predator figures at Wal-Mart! so being a Predator fan I had to look thought them they had a bunch of different ones and I picked out a few that I liked they're about 3-4 inches tall and I think they have a nice amount of detail for figures of their size so I was happy with getting them so go along with the movie of course😁😄
