There's this thing.

It's living under your skin. It's rotting you from the inside out. It's killing you by inches. And you aren't the only one. So, so many people have been lost to this very circumstance you now find yourself in, and you're not sure if you have any reason to believe that you won't go the exact same way.

What you do have is love.

Or maybe it's not so simple as that. Maybe what you have is the potential for love. The capacity for it. The belief that, maybe, in spite of all of the forces conspiring against you, you might get the chance to love one day. And maybe that's enough. Maybe that's worth hoping for. Maybe that's worth fighting for.

Am I describing the plot of my first book or the experience of being closeted? We just don't know.

coriolanus being the one to call sejanus a brother first when he never really meant it and sejanus losing everything bcuz he believed him. coriolanus being the only person sejanus fully trusted. sejanus and his mother being forced out of their home into a horrific environment where sejanus is the odd one out, the only one not born into it, and therefore clings to coriolanus bcuz he’s the only thing that feels like home. sejanus being the only one able to call out the injustices he witnesses bcuz he hasn’t grown up learning to accept it the way coriolanus and the rest of the capitol children have. sejanus having no one but coriolanus and his ma. sejanus being recorded without his consent. coriolanus turning into his father who he’s always disliked. sejanus begging coriolanus to not be blinded by bias and choose to stand up for him over standing up for the capitol. sejanus being able to see things as they are bcuz he’s not from the capitol. coriolanus saving sejanus from killing himself and giving him a false sense of trust and hope in him. sejanus calling coriolanus “coryo.” i feel unwell.

My Clemensia Dovecote/Capitol Academy uniform is finished! The entire costume was made from scratch except for the bag!

This is probably the first time I've worn the whole cosplay together and so far so good! Also this is the first character I've done that does not require a wig!

For their reunion, I imagine So Mi feeling apprehensive. She's not sure how V will react to her. Is there any anger there as the clock continues to tick? Is V cured or is she still dying? And then there's V when they see each other in person again... She just stares at So Mi and swallows hard before saying, "Hey, Song," all damn soft and before So Mi can really process, V's crying right in front of her. It's a relief seeing So Mi's in better shape now (maybe she was able to have parts of her body regenerated from chrome). V hasn't cried since Jackie passed. She doesn't trust her own voice not to break so she doesn't say anything else to So Mi. Just trying to keep it together.

(✦) Lycans, with all their beauties and oddities?

(✦) Androgynous, ruffian women with academic mania and a love of the stars?

(✦) Labs? With scientists NOT advisable as parental figures?

(✦) Tragic, war-time lesbians?

(✦) Dystopians with corrupt organisations, and the persistent feeling you're being watched?

(✦) Archives? Concealing our terrible, human past?

(✦) An experiment (or two) revolving around immortality and the knowledge-hungry, contorted beings in the woods?

(✦) A horrific amount of symbolism? Orange poetry? Greek tragedy conventions? Parallels between the protagonist and antagonist?

(✦) Or even, how do you feel about 4th wall breaks, and an antlered entity with its withered hands tangled in the threads of fate?

Cause if so, you've found the perfect piece of media to hyperfixate on for a while (PLEASE). This blog will be dedicated to Project Songbird, and the decievingly beautiful land of Kalopsia.
