re: current try guys drama
man, imagine doing videos for your husband's company on the themes of like, "I am getting older and I've had babies, and I feel insecure about my body because it has changed," and exposing that degree of personal vulnerability. and then later discovering the producer of them is the person with whom he's hooking up behind your back.

I love the tenmas so dearly… the doll event is so good. Saki and Tsukasa having a fight over a misunderstanding and Saki is like I’m so evil he HATES me I’m the worst little sister in the world while tsukasa is like I upset Saki I’m horrible I need to go run directly into traffic. Tsukasa saving up to get Saki new dolls because he thinks he ruined them when he was bringing them to her in the hospital… Saki loving those dolls more than anything *because* tsukasa brought them to her in the hospital… They love each other so much. Do not separate them.

My local school district just added a "facility dog" (therapy pup) to one of the Elementary schools. (There's already one at the High School.)
Now, I love all the doggos. And working doggos are awesome. Such good bois.
I understand hospital dogs - hospital visits are usually unexpected and scary. For lots of people, not only are you not feeling well, but you're in a new, weird place.
But our public schools are so traumatic that we need therapy dogs? Public school, where we expect Children to spend a majority of their time? Who Screwed Up That Bad?

I know nobody here really cares that much, but since 1989 (Taylor’s version) came out my fyp has been all about her & Harry, and so many of the videos are like “GASP was Harry one of the bad boyfriends?!”
And as someone who’s never felt any type of way about Harry, I think I like or at least respect him a little bit more after the vault tracks? Especially “is it over now?” Because I’ve seen a lot of clips of this man talking about Taylor over the years, and I’ve never seen or heard him say something disparaging or complaining about her writing songs about him. In fact, I’ve only ever seen him be like “hey, it’s her life and if she’s written anything about me, I’d be flattered. She’s so talented.” And this isn’t a new reaction, like there are interviews from that year where he says something to that effect and honestly?? Pop off, Harry.
They’re friendly enough that I’m sure he’s heard these songs before, or at least knew that she had some less than flattering ones in her back pocket, and was still like “yeah, no, I’d be honored. Are you kidding?” Like he was 20 or something when they were together and 20 year old boys are awful and shitty and apparently he’s talked about the fact that he’s a bad boyfriend before, so I love that this entire time he’s shown a level of emotional maturity and respect for her that fucking John Mayer refused to. It would’ve been so easy for him to be a dick about it, and he never was! It seems like he just went “I treated you like shit. You’re totally valid in this. Go off, queen.”
I’ve been laughing imagining him listening to the vault tracks and the “if she’s got blue eyes I can surmise that you’ll probably date her” line and being like “fuck, bro. She really called me out like that on main? Damn. I should send her flowers or something.” And then “now that we don’t talk” I can literally see him hearing the line about her mom and going “aw, Andrea. I always liked her. I hope she’s well. Fuck it, somebody send her flowers too.”
As somebody who knows nothing about him and never really got into 1d or paid close attention to his career, only passively enjoyed his music, I think these song’s coming out vastly improved my opinion of him 😂

It's not surprising that there's a stark difference in things people are willing to do until and things people are willing to do forever, even when they are just as good an idea.

what we need mental health services to offer is an anger room. where you can go to just scream and break things. like stock it with 20 bucks worth of cheap plates and let patients smash the shit out of them. howl and pound on the walls until they're relieved/satisfied. maybe THEN when my mind is cleared of negative electricity we can discuss the sources of the suffering. like when i did equine therapy (which is the only therapy that ever helped me) they leave you all alone with the horses for an hour and then at the end you verbally process for five minutes. when you're at peace and thinking clearly. smashing objects is a great way to achieve clarity of thought. i speak from years of experience. just ask the holes in my walls.

Could I possibly get some personal stories about people who resisted accepting pharmaceutical medications for their mental health issues but ultimately decided to pursue them as a means for recovery? What caused your resistance? What caused you to change your mind? How did the process of transitioning to pharmaceuticals go for you (was it difficult, successful, did you have to go through multiple medications, do you still experience symptoms or side effects that may lead you to change your mind again, etc.)?
Asking for a friend and the friend is me
Big thank

That feeling when you're reaching the end of your allotted time in therapy and you want to just get through this segment of your shitty childhood before time runs out and you have to open the wound up again next session but your therapist keeps asking probing questions and trying to get you to process it instead of speedrun through it.
Damn you, paid professional for doing exactly what I pay you for. We'll return to the horrors next week.

You know that Parks and Rec scene where Leslie's afraid of going on a date and tells Ann her worries and they're all bizarre scenarios, and Ann's like "those things won't happen" and Leslie's like "all of those things have happened to me"? That's what it's like trying to communicate your worries as an anxious autistic person to a mental health professional who is used to allistics with anxiety. Even when they're trying their best to understand, like no you don't get it. My experience of the world is different, some worries that seem irrational without context are just reactions to how different the world is for me.
