Ok so i've always loved to read this blog and i'm really happy that requests are open again so, can you do Queen of Hatred with a transfemme employee/librarian who wants to be a magical girl like her? (y'know, fighting evil in a pretty dress and stuff) or White Lake with a transfemme employee who's a fan of the princess aesthetic and frilly dresses

Ohh absolutely! Especially in recent times all I have wished to do is look pretty and kick ass. 

Queen of Hatred w/ Transfemme Employee/Librarian Headcanons:

She constantly looks forward to seeing you visit because it gives her an opportunity to talk about the stories she’s collected along the way while being a magical girl.

She’s very dramatic when she describes them in the way that it sets a perfect mental scene. Uses her hands a lot and will pose and completely recreate the scenario. It’s like your own personal movie.

When you say you want to be a magical girl like her a look of appreciation comes across her face. The idea that she’s influenced you so much to the point that in a way, you look up to her and want to do what she does is just such a warm feeling. It brings her back to when she would train with her sisters and look up to them. 

There are literal stars in her eyes (no, that is not an exaggeration) as she hugs you. She is absolutely willing to teach you, and she is ready to be the greatest teacher possible.

Now if you’re a magical girl you of course need your signature outfit. I can see her encouraging you to bring some paper and pencils to sketch out the general idea of what you’re thinking.

Something you will come to find is that she’s extremely excited to give suggestions and because of this will sometimes get lost naming off concepts and ideas that aren’t what you’re particularly looking for. She won’t be offended if you pull her back to one style though. She just really likes the design process.

I imagine she’s actually amazing at sewing and stitching things together herself. After all, when you’re at hard work protecting people all day your skirt may happen to get a couple tears. Fear not! With some needle and thread it will be fixed in no time.

It becomes a fun experience for you two. If this is in the time of Lobotomy Corp, I imagine that this would help preoccupy her mind and help ease any growing anxiety build up she has.

Do not forget about your magical girl title! That is an extremely important part. After all, what catchy title is the city supposed to know you as? She’ll help you test out and get a feel for what you like most and is very patient.

The Queen of Hatred is very insecure about feeling that she has no use anymore, and when she is unable to help in one way or another it makes her antsy. Activities like this though let her aid you, and plus they’re fun and time spent with someone she enjoys the company of.

Whenever she gets the opportunity to suppress other abnormalities you can be sure she’ll drag you along. It counts as your ‘training’. This only applies to the threats that she thinks you can handle. She doesn’t want you to risk getting gravely injured because of a poor miscalculation on her part.

If you are a librarian, training methods would likely be different. Abnormalities inhabit environments that are the most ideal for them, likely a reflection of their own mental state or one they were created from, so I imagine that QoH’s floor is much like the home she speaks of protecting.

If it is, then that means there are a variety of villains shambling about, waiting to be defeated in the name of justice. It is then that in true magical girl style you can defeat evil.

You will gain an even bigger respect for her once you realize just how difficult fighting in a dress is. Is it worth it? Yes. It absolutely is.

Not a really strict teacher. If anything, she just feels like a friend showing you the ropes. Wants the experience to be as enjoyable as you think it is, and is happy to share the gloriful feeling of saving the innocent with you. Very much teaches through positive reinforcement, but sometimes she can have a hard time telling you things you may need practice on due to this.

She thinks a lot about her sisters and wishes that she could tell them about you and how far you’ve come. While she may not explicitly say this, you can tell by how much she speaks of them and how she wants you to meet.

The Queen of Hatred is rather ambitious and holds high standards for herself. Because of this, when these standards are questioned, she can get overwhelmed quite easily.

In prior times she really had no one to lean on. There were her sisters, yes, but they all had their own work to tend to and she didn’t want to be a burden. Unfortunately, there really were no others who could relate to her situation and help talk some reason into her.

Having you around really makes a difference! Talking about your experiences and feelings at the end of the day and enjoying some pastries is vital to remaining in a healthy state. While you may not suddenly understand everything, you still can relate to her in many ways the average person can not.

Ultimately she is incredibly supportive of whatever your goals are. She very much believes that anyone can be anything if they work hard towards it, so even when you’re getting second thoughts she will lift you up. You two are there for eachother like that.

Do you have any Charming Family headcanons?

A few!

They’re mostly pre-time travel, though

-Chad and Chloe had a decent sibling dynamic up until he went to middle school (particularly eighth grade), where he was more concerned with his friends and sports

- Chad had minor resentment towards Chloe in his earlier adolescence, due to their parents prioritizing her (they’d attend her parent conference, PC would go on daddy-daughter dates with her, etc)

- Chloe felt the coldness from him but internalized her feelings about for a long time, but one day while the family was having dinner she broke down, crying about how much she missed her big brother

- Cinderella and Charming then forced Chad to spend his free time with Chloe until they got along enough where Chloe felt happy with their relationship (he missed out on a lot of time with friends)

- That lasted for about a year, and as much as it frustrated the twelve year old prince, he learned to enjoy spending time with his sister again, and even dedicated one day out of the week to strictly sibling time

- As Chad got older and moved onto high school Charming and Cinderella (mostly Ella) didn’t approve of the way he treated the girls in his grade. They’d give him many lectures, but they never stuck much, as they refused to yell at their children or be too harsh in general.

- Cinderella went through abuse as a child so she vowed to never put her kids through the same, which led her children to feel loved, yes, but also have a sense of entitlement (particularly one blonde boy.. who tended to act out more than his little sister)

- Chloe and Chad were raised with their parents rewarding them any small thing they did that was good, whether it was cleaning their room, getting good grades, basically the bare minimum.

- That caused a bit of a superiority complex within the kids, making them think that they were the best people in the world for holding a door open for the people coming in behind them or saying “bless you” when someone sneezed.

- Chad and Audrey spent a *lot* of time together before they started dating (an almost questionable amount), so much so that Ella and Charming asked their son if they were dating. When Chad told them no and that Aurora’s daughter was with Ben Florian, they both stared at him with a side eye before shrugging and taking it at face value, but silently questioned their son’s morals lol

Some post-time travel ones:

-Chloe and Red grew up very close as childhood best friends, and even have pictures of them as toddlers in their families’ castles

- The Charmings and Hearts spent almost every Christmas together

-Chad’s parents had him babysitting a lot so he and Audrey would take Chloe and Red out to restaurants and parks whenever they still wanted to have date nights or hangouts

-When Red couldn’t come over for whatever reason and Chloe felt lonely, Chad would play barbies and dress up with her

-The Charmings have a bedroom for Red in their castle because she’s their almost every day

- The Queen of Hearts has the same for Chloe in Wonderland’s castle

- when Chad was little he had a crush on QoH

-When Red and Chloe start dating Chad gives Red an almost two hour lecture about “not breaking his little sister’s heart” and “if she she even frowns, he’s coming for her”

-Chloe’s favorite ice cream is made in a shop that’s a little far away from home so whenever she brings back a report card with all As, either Charming or Chad go down to the place buy a tub of it for her as a gift

-The family makes time to most if not all of Chad’s tourney games and competitions Chloe participates in

okay, disclaimer this is mainly my opinion cause im very picky for no good reason. this isn’t hate or anything, by the way.

one.) personalities. yes, i do blame personalities on setting, now this isn’t necessarily bout the nrc itself but the backgrounds of the characters.

the queen of hearts is not an exception to ‘we’re all mad here.’ i don’t think riddle should be as strict as he is, well actually, i think he is the right amount of strict but maybe he could be more insane?? not like a psycho, but yes psycho. i personally think that riddle would be much calmer and smiley, in a scarier way. he wouldn’t turn as red unless he’s upset, when flustered it’ll be a different kind of blushing. he probably won’t be easy to fluster, cause i don’t think he’d take compliments seriously. most he’d received were either mocking or forced, not really genuine. this has to do with my headcanon that the qoh killed her last lovers because of their ‘insincerity’ towards her, considering she’s mad i doubt she’s easy to genuinely love.

i haven’t watched the lion king, but i don’t think scar is actually asleep all the time. i know lions sleep a lot, but that’s because they already have everything. the ladies that bring food, shelter so forth. you could say leona has the same thing, but he doesn’t have the people’s respect. his brother has everything, if he’s like scar that should be something he wants. he wouldn’t sleep all the time, but plotting on how to get the one thing he doesn’t have.

hades sure as hell wasn’t shy in the slightest. he picked up persephone at a party and brought her home and kept her?? i’m not saying idia has to be a carbon copy, but i think (as heir to styx) he can survive without his little brother at his beck and call. if you want to look at the disney ver. HADES TOOK A GIRLS SOUL AND HAD HER SEDUCE A GOD SO HE COULD TAKE OVER THE HEAVENS!! bffr, idia aint shit.

i can go on in another post, these are three dorm leaders and things that stood out the most to me.

two.) it’s hard to see the characters that aren’t in the same dorm interact with each other. i know it happens in game but i just can’t picture anything other than it.

in the nrc, it feels as though everyone is competing with everyone. this probably is true to an extent actually, but in my mind it messes with the flow of dialogue. no one agrees with people out of their dorm (except maybe 1st years) and there is just constant bickering.

when writing im often forced to consider dynamics like this, which is near impossible if no one gets along! no new faces can show up, no new dynamics can be made... maybe im just being overdramatic.

three.) there's nothing to know about other character's backstories.

I LITERALLY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT LEONA RN TELL ME ABT RUGGIE!! each chapter, the dorm leader is the villain (jamil exception) so we only get to know about them. hate to say this, but that's boring asl.

we never get to a deep dive in ace or deuce or characters like that unless it's an event or something. new people won't be ble to learn their lore in the actual story (where it should be or at least in their cards, cause i can understand the story is already v long)

i hate having to look at the wiki for sprinkles of info about characters we talk to once or twice but do nothing for the plot (ehem, jack, you forgot him too huh.)

•mostly coils around you and wont leave at all. Will start shooting her laser if anyone just does as much as enters the room you two are in

•despite the fact, that teleportation is painful for you, QoH doesnt pay attention to it as she completely lost whatever was left of her rational mind

•she wont believe anyone if it actually kills you and will be in hysteria for a long time after that

•well, if you get yourself into this mess, just try to keep her sane and it will be less of a nightmare

Out of the magical girls, she is both the youngest and is the only one who is still a child (I imagine her to be around 16 or 17).

Her original title was the Page of Justice.

Tends to be the planner of the group. Page likes to be logical about things and tries to not let her emotions impact her decisions...

Though, her attempt at only being logical and suppressing any emotion was what led to her downfall. Bottling it up isn’t healthy.

She connected with the hermit because of their love of literature and law books. Page never had anyone who was interested in what she was before and having someone else to talk to about it was nice.

Really, she just needs someone who genuinely wants to be her friend. I believe that, in the events of Wonderlab, the only reason things happened the way they did was because the agent used her like the hermit did. They only wanted Page for what she could give them...

Main example for the previous also being: while Page was beginning to turn, they did nothing to comfort her, only thinking of themself. Friendship requires balance.

The Servant of Wrath especially looks up to the King of Greed. Even now after everything. Page always admired King’s calm and down to earth nature while also being strong and smart.

Happy Birthday Vil Schoenheit! 🦚

I finally got around to reading his chapter so this is fresh in my thinkpan.

Vil is that guy who i would absolutely love to have in my life. He's a kind man but he has a way of showing it that many deem unconventional and harsh. I like it. I NEED someone to hold me accountable for my bad habits and Vil is relentless in his efforts to make any potato useful. Does he push too far? Sometimes. But honestly, i wouldn't mind having someone who can bite back. Im too bratty.

But i wont bore yall with my love of blonde men who are probably strong enough to snap my neck. We gotta talk about Vil!

So I think I learned a lot about Vil in such a short amount of time thanks to finishing chap 5. I learned that he’s quite...expressionless. I noticed while doing lessons that he doesn’t open his mouth that wide when he talks. Idk why i noticed it, but it's interesting. He also mentions that he's usually stoic because hes so goal oriented.

And that's his problem. Vil doesn't show us how he feels. Like the other leaders, his complex is exacerbated by his mask. Vil doesn't allow himself to be a young man who emotes. There's one scene in chap 5 where one of the guys notes its weird to hear him refer to himself as a young man. He's so mature that many forget that hes only 18. He's not even the eldest out of all the seniors (fae + leona excluded). And he takes offense.

But Vil, by design, you continue to perpetrate an image of yourself that makes people forget that you're a baby. You are a child, especially when you nearly poisoned Neige for just existing. Your reaction to him proves that you're immature and it's okay to be immature.

Actually, let's discuss his relationship with Neige. Vil is forcing all of his energy into this guy who thinks the world of him. So much so that he's (literally) grooming Epel to be some weapon of mass destruction. Sure, Epel is a little goblin, but making him into a show dog won't resolve your feelings towards Neige. Like, Neige LOVES him some Vil. Look at this

I think it's because Vil doesn't want to accept Neige's love. I mean like, the guy sings his praises like everyone else but when it comes to Neige, he brushes it off or even gets Hostile. Neige brings out that immaturity in him, and it breaks our imagination of Vil. He's still a child in many ways.

Thats the aries in him taking. A common trait for some is their immaturity, temper, and RECKLESSNESS. The gap moe between Vil's facade and the emotions he has to force himself to suppress is so fascinating!

That being said, no. I don't think Diasomnia is his fit. Sure, the reasoning is solid, but he's fit for Heartslabyul way more. Of course, I'd love to see him in everyone's uniform, but Vil's strict and meticulous nature is quite on par with the QoH. He does carry Dia's elegance, but i unno, i just think it'd be fun to see him in an environment that has such unique rules. Plus, he would probably meet his match with how unkempt the 1st years are there. It's wacky, diverse and i think vil needs to be put out his comfort zone.

What do i wanna see with him? Well, that's just it. I want to see Vil uncomfortable and vulnerable to the people who love him. He's surrounded by people who adore and respect him. He has a prolific career and lots of promise in any road he picks in life. He's beautiful on the inside. But...Vil doesn't believe it. Ive been there. I've doubted myself because there's someone who i think is better than me. And it freaks me out...Neige isn't better than Vil. Vil isn't better than Neige. They compliment each other outside of their villain/hero archetypes, especially when Vil lets Neige pull him along.

Can yall l tell i hardcore ship em? I just think Neige is a better hype man than Rook. He needs emotional support and I want to see Vil emotionally vulnerable.

Oh! I also want to briefly touch on Vil's gender expression. I adore it. Some people have defined headcanons for his gender, but I just think it's nice to have a GNC guy in an isekai game...a DISNEY isekai game. Vil is certainly unapologetic in how he presents himself. I adore that aspect of him. In fact, it makes his dynamic with Epel that more interesting. Epel is a dirty country boy (who would totally be a little homophobic) who is so sure that he needs to be a manly man's man. Vil's masculinity is subtle but striking. He's tall, powerful, and demands people make room for him. At the same time, he wears heels, makeup and even uses pronouns that are (usually) used by women. His beauty covers all aspects of the word.

I think that's all i gotta say. His interview with trey was kind of uneventful. It's cute how Trey was excited to throw the pie at him tho. And i love that he has a ponytail. I wanna pull it so bad. Out of all the third years, Vil is my top three, which is a high honor since i...uh, well, let's say the younger ones get my attention more.

Hello yes welcome to headcanons that nobody asked for

I believe these two are twins for honestly no reason other than I like the idea of this LMAO

They got the red and black hair from both of their moms, yes biologically I believe they’re their parents mainly because I’d like to believe Wonderlandians just naturally have the ability to have children regardless of sex/gender (just makes the most sense to me [I also believe that this has bled into the main Fairytale World, and a little into the monster/human world ;)) ])

The Red Queen and the Queen of Hearts were together before QoH had to follow through with her destiny, and were very much in love. Which of course resulted in them addentally secretly having twins, with Lizzie born first. Unfortunatley, they got into disagreements over their children’s destinies, as well as the very topic of destiny itself, which led them to split while Lizzie and Chase were both babies so they don’t remember any of this. QoH remaried to the “short and stubby man” that her father is described as (who she assumed was the king in her destiny, spoiler alert to me he was not), and Lizzie was raised to believe these two were her bio parents. Chase on the other hand, was raised alone by RQ as her “”adoptive”” son, to hide the relation with the QoH. RQ didn’t remarry, 1. because nothing in her destiny said she techincally had to, just that there would be a king on the chessboard nothing specifically said they had to be together, and 2. because RQ still loved the QoH and couldn’t force herself to move on. Leading her to be a little more on-edge and grumpy a lot of the time. QoH still cared/loved RQ, but on top of the Evil Queen’s curse and just paranoia in general, QoH kept herself from thinking too much about the RQ. 

From here on out it kinda goes into my own made-up scenario lmao

Through some kind of shenanigans, Lizzie and Chase find out they’re related, and not only that but fraternal twins. Lizzie is hesitant to bring this up with her mom, but Chase isn’t hesitant in the slightest and it results in some tension in the situation

Through more shenanigans that I have yet to figure out, RQ and QoH reconcile as they find they still loved one another, QoH divorcing her husband and remarrying RQ in the process.

I’m tired rn but I’m more than willing to clear up some questions if need be if this might be hard to understand /gen <3

i went into my lobcorp playthrough not expecting to get headcanons about my playthrough

then i looked away for five minutes and when i looked back my brain had decided that:

xavier, my control team captain, is an ex-fixer. he is also A's cousin, not that either of them are aware of this

viatrix, my training team captain, remembers (some) resets. she is also a blue star cultist. these two facts are very much related

queen of hatred is desperately in love with bong-bong

this fact is tangentially related to the same incident that made viatrix worship blue star

(that incident was my first attempt at apocalypse bird. i didn't know it could do meltdowns. three people survived. queen of hatred was friendly breaching for the latter 90% of it and she's the #1 reason why those three even lived. it didn't help that i had the red damage dealer out of said three beating up small beak for a while but shhhh)

(all three of those survivors remember resets now, if they didn't before. so does qoh, but then i think abnormalities remember resets to begin with.)

(qoh was hostile breaching for the first half. she remembers that part, too. she will never forget.)

my computer ran out of power halfway through hod suppression. i decided the reason for this was that there was an actual literal rat in records and it chewed through a wire (or more likely accidentally stood on an extension cord's off switch), which cut power to training

okay so

i mentioned in my bunny one of these about lizzie’s hair, and how when the beheading happens and bunny takes over the qoh role all the red is drained from it. the reason for that is that the red in lizzie's hair represents her destiny, and when bunny takes that away from her, they take the colour too

kitzie is also canon here. this entire rewrite is just one massive middle finger to mattel and how they have had a total of four queer characters in mh and eah combined and haven't addressed a single one

i'm also gonna explore a relationship i haven't before in chase and lizzie. i like the idea of chase serving as sort of an older brother to liz, given that they're both red royals and presumably would've been quite close growing up

lizzie in this is also fucking pissed at bunny. and i mean like she doesn't understand why alistair is so hellbent on trying to reason with them, which causes a lil bit of a rift in the already fractured wonderlandians

but yeah. i'm gonna delve into lizzie's character a lot here

Now, here’s the thing. Mally loved Hatter. In all forms possible, she absolutely loved him. So, him leaving for Alice already was painful, but there was another aspect on top of that which affects Mally greatly. And, altogether, means even though part of her went to the oyster world to find Hatter (but the primary reasoning was still finding the original alice), she also still kind of resents him a bit too.

Think of it this way, and tho this changes with whatever Hatter I may be writing with (her relationship w different hatters changes from unrequited romantic love but requited devoted friendship love to whatever) I do personally headcanon that she did at some point, before being taken in by Jack himself, ask Hatter to run away to the oysters world with her. Figuring Jack wouldn’t be able to chase her forever up there, and they could make a new life.

Partly, the desire is due to what happened in their previous lives, wherein Hatter and Mally broke out of Hatter’s domain where his father went mad from his experiments, and ended up blowing up the entire plant. They ran away and made a new life together (as friends) in an entirely different domain in Wonderland, until Alice’s final battle where Hatter was lost, marking Mally essentially being lost as well.

But he decided to stay. He felt like he needed to stay to help save his homeland (we already saw him say this to alice in the miniseries.) After that, he probably brought Mally to the resistance hideaway, where she very quickly saw how even the resistance was tainted. To her, Dodo and QoH arent that different. If anything, both just pawns (ironically to the same person, but she didn’t know that yet.)

I believe Dodo would likely have recognized her family resemblance, and since it would have been post finding her mother and learning she’s the rightful heir, naturally Dodo would use that to his advantage. Especially if Hatter tells him, be it under the belief he’ll help them, or otherwise. Mally wouldn’t be able to handle the stress of them, and knowing Dodo would try to force her to corroborate with his plans, her ‘screech’ would come in and she’d knock them all out. In her escape, she would ultimately take Hatter with her and go back to the Tea Shoppe, but it’d still be too late.

Hatter would likely see Dodo was out of line, but still wouldn’t realize what the price would be. Mally, being Mally, would be panic trying to explain why he shouldnt trust people just because they share an enemy, because Jack considers his mother an enemy too and he’s no better than she is.

But word would be sent to The Caterpillar, which would be sent to Jack.

And Jack would deliver an ultimatum to her, because he definitely has the power to fuck Hatter’s life over too, and Jack knew mally well enough to know her hero complex and loyalty.

Which Mally wouldn’t just take lying down. And Jack knows that. He probably went to her alone at first, because he knows shes too smart to just outright kill him. Let her knock him down, and when she went to Hatter to tell him she’s doing this for him, he could get her there where she wouldn’t put others at risk.

I see it like this; She runs off to Hatter, panickly tells him she’s so sorry for what she needs to do, and that she’s doing it for him. Pretend to use him as a hostage, and when she knocks him down to run off, she’s stopped from the back by one of Jack’s suits. Likely electrocuted, because that affects her most of all.

Hatter, being Hatter, would try to question wtf is going on, but still ultimately choose to save his own skin in the moment. Likely runs off to tell Dodo after Jack leaves, and realizes somethings up when Dodo doesn’t seem to care (not that Jack’s part of them, but I believe this is where his general ensuring he always gets a cut came from).

And Jack, being a dickbag, would make Hatter think Mally died as a wanted criminal. Testing the waters, but trying to ensure Hatter wouldn’t come looking for her, cause he’d be the best bet at the moment for shit to control mally with. March is dead at that point, so its not like he could use him.

and mallys too headstrong to do what he wants, which is why she gets locked up in the casino and stays there until Hatter and Alice are there, undergoing years of abuse, trauma, gets blinded and loses an arm in the thick of it all by the time Hatter lets her out and the Casino explodes. She never fully recovers her vision, and eventually she gets a faux arm to replace what was lost, but not until after joining the Underground and going to the oyster world.

And Hatter ends up leaving, likely partly her fault too. Cause she’d tell him she’d be okay, cause she always lies to spare others feelings. Especially his. And that he should follow his heart, partly hoping he’d stay with her. But he chose Alice.

And think about undergoing years of further abuse and trauma because you wanted to protect someone, and that person ultimately chooses someone else. On top of that, he didn’t want to leave when she wanted to go with him, but Alice lives there and he wanted to go for her. Not even the real alice, just another headstrong individual who shares her name.

so of course she holds some resentment there. She loves him to no end, but she’s also incredibly hurt because, ultimately, she wasn’t ever good enough for him. She wasn’t worth abandoning Wonderland for. But, there’s more to it than that.

He knows what Jack did. He knows what Jack did to her (to a point). But he felt like Wonderland was safe enough in his hands to leave.

And, without the right Alice to fix everything and take Jack down, Mally can’t return home. She can go anywhere in the oysters world she wants, but she can’t return to Wonderland without Jack finding her again. Jack’s found her multiple times in the oysters world, but can’t do much about it there. Even with The Underground finding a way to end Jack’s reign and give the crown to her (a crown she doesn’t even want), she’s still stuck in mental turmoil from bottling up her pain and trauma, her abandonment issues from Hatter, an extreme inferiority complex she hides with sarcasm and acting higher than she feels, and lbr, she opts to be a bitch to keep others at a distance and hide her own insecurities.

by the time she’d find Hatter again in the oyster land, she’d still love him, but on top of that love is resentment for thinking someone like Jack was safe to leave Wonderland to, and that it was perfectly fine to leave her behind because he found someone else. She doesn’t even realize it, it just comes out in emotional bursts, but ultimately she’s still in love and adores someone who hurt her and abandoned her and her home, and since he partly was her home, she doesn’t really have a home at all anymore.

Any headcanons for the Queen of Hearts?

- Though she had lost a pound or two as time passed, her loud mouth and selfish attitude stayed the same.

- She and the Evil Queen have a bit of a frenemies rivalry going on. The two would often share a drink together, even though the time was mainly spent making snarky comments and competing over silly things. They had even got into arguements over whose child was better.

- Since there are very few flowers on the Isle, she has a garden of grass dipped in white paint.

- The kids on the isle wouldn’t consider her much of a threat if her manor anger issues didn’t often send random objects flying towards their heads.

- QOH doesn’t really have any friends, nor acquaintances, just folk who can tolerate her.

- Even on an island prison, she firmly believes that manners should still exist. She always loses her temper whenever anyone shows disrespect to her.

- Dislikes blonde haired and blue eyes kids since they remind her of Alice.

How did you create Cora?Did you create her specifically for askdescendants,or did you just come up with the idea one day?Was the Queen of Hearts her mother from the beginning?

OOC: I write fanfiction as well as my ongoing eternal novel (a perpetual work in progress), so I’m used to creating characters pretty quickly- it’s like breathing to me.  However, I haven’t written any Descendants fanfiction (just Once Upon a Time and a Sailor Moon/Inuyasha crossover; check me out on fanfiction.net as ladykikyo1792.  #shamelessselfpromo lol).  I had been low key following the AskDescendants group on my personal blog for a while and toyed with the idea of applying, but I didn’t know who to apply as.  I loved the idea of being a daughter of Evil Queen or Maleficent (I have SO MANY HEADCANONS for the daughter of Evil Queen), but obviously Evie and Mal exist and are known to be only children.  I kind of went through the rest of the Disney villains and was rather underwhelmed.  I got to the Queen of Hearts, went “Hmm, haven’t watched Alice in Wonderland in years,” watched it, and then realized that the QOH would actually be REALLY fun to do.  She also had the potential to go quite dark, and I really enjoy writing (and as I’m learning, roleplaying) dark characters.  So then I tried to come up with a name (because in my not biased opinion [jk, I’m totally biased haha], the Princess of Hearts sounded like an awesome title).  Except nothing really went with Queen of Hearts.  I hated the name Queenie, and wasn’t a fan of Harley or Holly or Hannah.  It just didn’t fit.  I do speak some Spanish and the word corazon translates to “heart,” so I ended up adjusting that to be Corazana with Cora getting the nickname of Cora.  Long story short, the Queen of Hearts was always her mother.  I’m trying to think more specific things as far as how I created Cora…I mentioned I like the idea of dark characters, and I wanted Cora to have some features that set her apart other than just short-tempered (even though she is) or really snobby (which she isn’t), which seem to characterize the Queen of Hearts in Disney canon.  When I thought about the fact that the QOH literally enjoys chopping people’s heads off and has zero empathy for anyone, that falls under the category of “psychopath” (without getting into the nitty gritty of psychology here).  The King of Hearts seems to realize his wife has issues (to put it politely), as he frequently pardons people she tries to behead and tries to get Alice a trial, so I thought it made sense for Cora to have a touch of psychosis, but not be a full blown psychopath.  She can empathize with others, but when she has a “slip,” she can hallucinate and experiences psychotic episodes (psychosis and psychopathy are actually different).  And again, I like dark characters, so I loved this idea for her.  I also later realized that I subconsciously gave her a condition which marks her as very different…which I sometimes feel like as I also have epilepsy and experience grand mal seizures.The epilepsy thing kind of bled into Cora indirectly as well because I also identified her as a daughter of one of the only powerful villains in canon who doesn’t have “magic,” so I kind of viewed that almost as another thing making her different (mean mun that I am, I accidentally isolated her.  Whoops).

Since Cora cannot do magic, I gave her physical weapons instead- although throwing daggers are more practical, I also did a small nod to Alice in Wonderland in giving her a croquet mallet as a weapon.  …this answer got way longer than I intended lol.  But yeah.  So short version: (1) Cora’s mother was always the Queen of Hearts (2) She was created specifically for AskDescendants, and then I decided I wanted an indie blog for her as well (3) I wish I had a better insight as to how I make up characters or my creative process, but I’ve just always kind of been making characters up since the time I was little for books and fanfiction that I write.  Any more questions, send them in!
