I've been thinking about the SSSniperwolf and Jacksfilms doxxing situation some more.

A lot of YouTubers who covered it said Jack went too far with how many videos he made parodying her content. Like?? That's the point. Sniperwolf does daily uploads of low effort reacts and Jack was copying that. Except he was showing how to make transformative reacts with things like Sniperwolf bingo. His channel JJJacksfilms is a direct parody of SSSniperwolf. Jack also never brought up Sniperwolf's past controversies or made things personal (Despite her being in an active lawsuit). He just focused critizing her reactions.

Also, SSSniperwolf was so dumb for escalating this to a crime. I don't even mean in the sense she was dumb for doing a crime, I mean in the sense she could have gotten out this react-gate pretty cleanly in the long run. These types of controversies have a life span for how long the public will support before they move on. If she just ignored Jack the momentum of his movement would eventually die out. She may take a few hits (apparently her views are going down) but she would not have been seriously effected in the long run. YouTube was probably never going to make big policy changes around react content. She could go back to doing her lazy reacts. Her doxxing Jack means this will follow her forever.

Now, I think the big reason why SSSniperwolf did escalate to doxxing is because Jacksfilms was effective. YouTube may not have been taking action, but small content creators were. In his recent videos more content creators were coming to him, asking him how to report their stolen content, and he walked them through it. Instead of letting her videos get claimed she edited the reported pieces out but this shortened her videos- making it so they don't qualify for ad revenue. I think this is what really got to her.

im a pretty firm believer in the "just let girls live" philosophy, but nah sssniperwolf is a bad person who is actively causing harm. sssniperwolf is SIGNIFICANTLY larger than jacksfilms, each of her daily uploads getting millions of views. YouTube constantly promotes her channel on twitter because she makes them a shitton of money, and her content is made ENTIRELY of stolen videos. She sometimes doesn't react, she just steals content. She refuses to even give a single piece of credit. It's not that she's a reaction channel, it's that she is unethical and getting rich anyway.

And Jacksfilms FAMOUSLY has been ripping on reaction channels since the fucking RayWilliamJohnson days. This is like, one of his things. He is part of OLD YouTube, and is a huge proponent of defending the rights of small creators and encouraging original content. The channel he has about this, jjjacksfilms, credits every creator they can find that she doesnt, and also gets in touch with some of the creators, all of which have reported never being contacted before her stealing their videos.

Sssniperwolf, despite being a woman, is fallible. Don't come into my askbox defending her from this, frankly, extremely manageable backlash she is getting. It started with asking her to simply look at the names of the people whose videos she was stealing and putting them in her video. Crediting them. And she has not only been aware of this the entire time, but she's been actively and publicly mocking Jack. It is getting out of hand because she STILL refuses to do this extremely simple, reasonable thing. Something that, one might even say, she is obligated to do.

Also, doxxing is a bad thing even if it isn't illegal (which it is). It's a threat. Showing someones home online is a deliberate tactic to make someone feel as though they are vulnerable and powerless. What about that is not a Bad Thing? Dunce.

Yeah actually! I love watch along and react content (when it's high effort and not just like... well Sssniperwolf sort of stuff).

A big reason why they don't come out too often is because I don't like grinding out stuff just because people will watch it, I want it to actually be a good/funny video with a lot added to it.

I could probably easily churn out a shit ton of react content with super barebones editing and humor but I ain't about that haha.

I'm fraustrated with SolidarityGaming. I feel like he's crossed the line for cloat several times.

Fwhip has talked about getting into lawsuits because of people stealing his builds. Jimmy posted a video about stealing his friends' builds, including Fwhip's, which felt so tone deaf.

Skiz and Tango's would play PlatedUp!, just the two of them. Impulse even talked about not joining them because it was a special thing for them to do together. Solidarity is suddenly being a part of it. It felt so intrusive.

Sssniperwolf got canceled for reacting stealing other people's content. XQC got his youtube channel banned. While Solidarity's channel isn't entirely stolen content like their's, he still does the same non-transformative content.

Philza had been vocal about not reating to fan-animations to not steal views. Solidarity straight up reposted Hermitcraft fan songs and animations with his face in the corner. He's not even a part of Hermitcraft. Particularly, during the Hermitcraft/Empires crossover, he found and listened to Docm77's perimeter anthem and posted a short of the entire song. Prior to this, it could only be found in Docm77's 90 min video and on JONO's channel.

so basically sssniperwolf used to be this gaming youtuber but she eventually turned into a half baked "reaction" channel where she just watches tiktoks, makes low effort surface level commentary, and then doesnt credit the creator of said tiktoks. jacksfilms is a comedy youtuber who does a bunch of stuff (sketches, streaming, something called YIAY where he gives ppl prompts / questions to answer n reads em out(with credit!(also hes been doing stuff with ai recently but mostly to show how mid it is which like. eh idk how i feel abt it but its not a dealbreaker))) and he at one point in 2023 called out sniper for her content stealking and lazy content.

he started doing this thing where he reacted to her videos the way she reacts to the videos she steals? i think? and then he gives credit to the creators that sniper reacts to i hope ur following. sniper eventually got mad and was like "uhhhmmm ur stealing from me....." which is rly funny considering she steals from SO many ppl. they had lowkey beef for a while (and obv jack was in the right the entire time) and on uhhhhhh lemme look this up hold on. october 13th of last year sniper posted an instagram story poll like "jacksfilms is close to this place im shooting at should i go see him" i guess to like? talk things out?

and then some amnt of time later while jack was playing jackbox on stream with his editors and stuff (dubbed the council) sniper showed up at his house, stood outside, and posted a video OF HIS HOME ON HER STORY. ON HER INSTAGRAM WITH OVER 5 MILLION FOLLOWERS. also to add even more context that i found out from youtube comments, sniper has been arrested for armed robbery before, so! some council member alerted jack and erin (jack's wife) was like "erm im gonna go outside" and everyone was like NO DONT OMG. eventually she deleted the story but by that point it was like wayyyy too late. and photos of his house were alr on twitter and stuff. the most ridiculous part is that when jack was rightfully like WHAG GHE HELL she was like this guy is creepy and hes been harassing me! i just wanna talk!!!

omg long post below bc apparently I have opinions: YES!! THAT'S WHAT'S SO INCREDIBLE ABOUT THIS... Jack has been genuinely diligent about keeping things on-topic in his streams, and hasn't brought up any of her other Stuff, or anything Personal. Despite the fact that she kickstarted the whole thing by making it INCREDIBLY personal and attacking his physical appearance... His goal has been to call out and bring attention to content theft, and he's stuck with it. Dude's also cared about this for years, and she's not the first content thief he's criticized. He just hates the way that freebooting has become so accepted-- to the point where youtube praised her for "coming up with such creative video ideas"? Hey! Ew! Dude wasn't trying to get her cancelled though, there was no smear campaign of her character. He's been rallying to get her to CREDIT the creators that she relies on for all of her content. It would set a precedent for all other "react" channels on the platform for one of the biggest channels on youtube to actually give credit where credit is due. Or, god forbid, get permission first? It's not hard. It's already done the job of making some other people who do "react content" self-analyze whether or not their content is transformative, and to maybe care about crediting the creators they rely on for their genre to work. There is a way to make this kind of video that isn't so slimy. And making fun of her lackluster-at-best reactions is so far from even being a big deal. Bc she literally does just sit there and say nothing. Plus, his goal has a clear End built into it: if she started shouting out the creators she takes content from, and put links directly to their pages in her video descriptions, the job would be done! That's what he's asking her to do. Real bare minimum stuff. it sucks cuz jacksfilms has been very clear personal attacks on sssniperwolf are not welcome in his chat or comments, he often gives benefit of the doubt when critiquing her react content, is very reasonable and actively trying not to just dunk on her content but figure out how to make the current social media landscape better for small creators who get their stuff stolen for react content like this…but because the youtube community in general hates women all that gets overtaken by people who just want an excuse to call a woman a bitch.

Sssniperwolf and YouTube have given the shittest apology and honestly I think I would have preferred they’d both said nothing

YouTube’s official statement, finally, after 6 full days, states that Sssniperwolf will be getting a temporary monetization suspension. They ALSO blamed BOTH PARTIES for what happened.

Like cool finally you did something and if they’d literally just left it at that it would have been FINE. The community would grumble a little about it not being a full ban but it would pass.

But the fact that they also blamed Jack, who, again - DIDN’T DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL OR EVEN DEFAMATORY - Fucking BOGGLES me. Jack’s Sssniperwolf Bbbingo videos both transform her work (I’ve watched like 10 or so now and in all of them it takes him at least 10 minutes to get thru 3 tiktoks she reacts to) his commentary is way longer than the runtime of her video, and the only things he directly calls her out on are factually correct, like the fact that not crediting people’s work is a shitty thing to do and it is the right of creators to claim their work stolen. He generally makes fun of her repetitive reactions, but that’s also protected under freedom of speech so long as he isn’t calling for anyone to harm her - which he isn’t. He isn’t sending the videos directly to her email, he hasn’t stalked or doxxed her. He hasn’t attacked her by trying to find and credit every creator he can and tell his community that if they have something stolen by her, they can report it stolen and have it taken down.

Because the fact is that she OFTEN crops out usernames, doesn’t list any links or usernames in her description, does not ask anyone for permission to use their content, and does not provide exposure.

Jack did nothing to her that couldn’t be either ignored completely or remedied by actually providing proper credit/contacting tiktok creators to ask for permission. It was SssniperWolf who decided to go to his real life actual house and commit a literal crime by filming it and doxxing him.

Not to mention her apology is fucking abysmal. She doesn’t admit she doxxed him, and idk if it annoys anyone else but she called him jacksfilm throughout. Like his channel name is jacksfilms. You doxxed the guy and can’t even bother to look up his actual username? Her whole apology is about how she failed to be an example of proper conflict resolution or whatever but the fact remains that she absolutely threatened him in his personal residence and committed a literal crime. G Fuel stopped the page where you could buy their SSSniperwolf inspired product but no official statement on it.

Videos are resurfacing of SSSniperwolf's past like transphobia and racism. The main one getting attention is where she asked kids to twerk for her.

Instead of punishing SSSniperWolf YouTube seems to be changing their policies to accommodate her doxxing. They will not be punishing creators for off-platform actions.

Both of these are pretty shitty and the YouTube community as a whole does not seem to be accepting her apology and disapprove of YouTubes punishment as it is too light.

There's a petion going around to demonitize SSSniperWolf

For those who don't know what's been going on I'm gonna copy-paste little synopsis on 'why this petion matters' cuz the synopisi has all the info and I'm bad with words:

SSSniperWolf, also known as Lia, has been consistently stealing content from other creators for her reaction videos without adding any value or giving due credit. Her reactions are very lazy, and often stolen. This blatant disregard for original content creators is not only unethical but also against the principles of fair use that govern the platform. Lia's actions have allowed her to amass an estimated annual salary of $11 million while those whose work she uses struggle to get their rightful share. Recently, fellow YouTuber jacksfilms took a stand against this by creating a parody channel called JJJacksFilms in order to highlight Lia's unscrupulous practices, by making non-transformative reactions to Lia's videos. However, instead of acknowledging her wrongdoings and making amends, Lia accused Jack of stealing her "content" multiple times. On July 27th 2023, Jack addressed these accusations directly in his video. In this video, Jack expresses his strong disapproval of SSSniperWolf's content, particularly her repetitive, lazy, and generic TikTok reaction videos. He argues that her success is undeserved, as it comes at the expense of multiple creators whom she never sought permission from to react to or profit from their work. To support his claim, Jack and his team reached out to 9 creators whose videos were reacted to by SSSniperWolf. All of them confirmed that they were never asked for permission, and some were even unaware that she had reacted to their videos. One notable example was an animation by TheJege12, which was reuploaded to TikTok by someone else and then reacted to by SSSniperWolf (essentially freebooting a freebooter). Her reaction video received 13.6 million views, while the original video only received 1.6 thousand views.

Jack further criticizes SSSniperWolf for her lack of transformative content, arguing that her videos do not qualify for protection under Fair Use. He points out that her commentary adds little value, often merely summarizing what she's watching or using basic phrases. Additionally, Jack takes aim at YouTube and VidCon for promoting and boosting her influence, which he believes sends a negative message to creators, encouraging them to "steal" rather than create original content.

Jack then transformed his parody JJJacksfilms channel to be more transformative by playing a game rating Lia's reactions, first with letter grades, then by playing Bingo with her repeating cliches (such as "Rain effect", "Random tangent", "Unnecessary yelling" etc.)

On September 29 2023, Jack released a video titled "The WAR on stolen content!", which featured Mikey Skates, a content creator who had his video stolen by Lia, and he confirmed he wasn't aware of it. Thanks to Jack's help, he was able to get his video removed out of Lia's reaction.

In response to this, on October 13 2023, SSSniperWolf arrived to Jack's house, claiming it was 5 minutes from her shoot, and posting multiple stories on her Instagram profile, one of them leaking Jack's house online - effectively doxxing him and his wife and putting them at risk.

SSSniperWolf posted a story saying that Jack was harassing her for months and that she was threatened. However, Jack claimed he has a video of her outside his house. Later that night, Lia posted a story where she shows a video of her showing jacksfilms channel saying how he is obsessed and ask if she should get a restraining order against him. Jack posted said story to Twitter and was saying how ironic it was due to Lia stalking him. Lia made another Instagram story, saying that Jackfilms was defaming Lia, claiming his address was public on Google, and mentioned that she doesn't know how to dox. Jackfilms responded by reiterating that she was outside of his home while him and his wife is inside. This behavior is unacceptable and violates YouTube’s policies on harassment and cyberbullying. It sets a dangerous precedent if left unchecked which could encourage others to follow suit with similar harmful actions. We are calling on YouTube to take immediate action by demonetizing SSSniperWolf’s channel until she rectifies her actions towards other creators and adheres strictly with the platform’s rules regarding content theft and privacy invasion. Please sign this petition if you believe in protecting original content creators' rights on YouTube from exploitation while ensuring safety within our digital communities.
