Have you guy been to Fable yet? It's a fun app where you can participate in reading clubs and even buy books! There's a shelf management source too that you can import your Goodreads account to!
Join me in my "Haunt Me" group to read with me every month!
So - i started a bookclub as a way to read recreationally in between my busy study-work schedule (Fulltime Supervisor of an ACE Classroom and part-time Student).
it is two hours before our first meetup and im woefully unprepared to be the extravert i need to be to host thismeetup -being an introvert and all... so i embark on my journey to figure this all out before i go to gym in 20 min.
searching on the web i find a website dedicated to book clubs... when registering, our Group needs a name... soooo here starts a loong discussion among the group members on what our name should be... we have 40 suggestions and counting just by 3 of the 5 of us that are interested in meeting tonight... its been 15mins /im-no-panicking-youre-panicking - but we are all really enjoying ourselves so i created a poll so we can see which names have the most likes and to go from there.
Step 1: Invite fellow readers - check
Step 2: Set up ground rules - sounds serious... but actually isnt!
- it covers when we should meet,
-what we are gonna read,
-size of the party,
-how to pick the next book
-what do we identify as: social or literary club (maybe both?)
-snacks? (my own addon cos im always snackish - lolz)
Step3: how do we keep people chatting?
- so i haven't made a plan but apparently there's a website i can use to help me with that so im going to explore it more!
Step4: Stay organised! - dont forget to enlist members to share in on the planning!
Book clubs are more than just reading groups, they are also social and learning communities. They foster discussions that enrich our perspectives and challenge our assumptions. They also create opportunities for friendship, laughter, and joy. At the end of every meeting, try asking each member to rate the book on a scale of 1-10 on your club’s page on Bookclubs, as well as out loud. This lets everyone share their opinions and feedback, and also see how the club’s discussion influenced their rating.
"But don’t forget, it's important that you’re having fun, too. For instance, if someone from your club is hosting dinner or a potluck for the other members, choose a festive menu theme based on the book. Try a club outing to a local bookstore’s author talk—or catch the movie when a favorite book hits the big screen." - Bookclubs the book club organization tool website!
You ever pick up a book not knowing anything about it but end up loving it? The Woman in Red was definitely that book for me. I found a book outlet on vacation and it was like a buy 3 deal. After much looking around, I needed a 3rd one and stumbled on this striking cover.
I am so glad I stumbled on it because it truly was fascinating. This is a historical fiction book that leaves you feeling so…

Reposted from @kebabreadingclub #KEBAB20 : Pada Sebuah Radio Dangdut - @sefsaefulanwar - @penerbitjbs Halo, Kawan KEBAB! Sampai jumpa! 👋🏻 Salam, Tim KEBAB #kebabreadingclub #padasebuahradiodangdut #kumcerindonesia #sastraindonesia #readingclub #klubbuku #komunitasbaca #komunitasbuku #penulisindonesia #sastrawanindonesia #sastraindonesia (di Jual Buku Sastra-JBS) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cd2AKrNp540/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Do you know about the Māhele in Hawaii? Or the Dawes Act in the continental United States? 📃
Throughout history, there has been a continued effort to strip Native people of their connections to the land. We can see the long-term effects in some of the ridiculous housing prices of today's market. 🏡💰
Are there any ways we can actively work against this? Let us know what you think! 👀
#consigliletterari #booksloverita #read2k20 #classicbooks #libriamici #ilclubdeilibri #bookbloggeritaliani #bookinfluenceritalia #βeideilibri #ßeideilibri #frasilibri #readingclub #bookishmorning #agostoinpillole #antrodilibri #augustfullofbooks #libriamoci1 #lacasadicarl #trovandopillolelibrose #amicandito #lettureimbranate #letturesocial https://www.instagram.com/p/CEi6NjEHYLq/?igshid=1obicwvt3ffbh
Today I’m sharing another book review for the month of November!! This book review is all about The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave! When I tell you I seriously could not put this book down, I’m not kidding!
I read this in like 3 hours on a Sunday night because I couldn’t start my week without knowing how it ended. If you’re into a good mystery thriller, this one is for you with twists and…
