Seems like everyday we’re losing another legend. 💔 RIP to the incomparable icon Roy Ayers. Roy Ayer’s was a true master & god of his craft, a man that wore many hats. He was a funk/soul/jazz composer, vibraphone player, music producer, pioneer, visionary, innovator & icon. Not only did he pioneer jazz-funk, but he has been dubbed 'The Godfather of Neo Soul' — in other words, where would your favorite artist be without Roy Ayers legacy. He’s best known for the tune that I know you all are familiar with 'Everybody Loves the Sunshine' , ‘Searchin' & 'Running Away’. At one time, he was even said to have had more sampled hits by rappers than any other artist. Rest in Peace & Power Roy. Thanks to you, music has been forever changed & your legacy will never die.

William Finn passed away while I was sleeping, I found out from my discord chat.

Im so upset, I haven’t even processed it, I don’t think I will ever miss someone as much as I do now and I Never even met him.

He was such a great man, and so smart, he was one of the best musical composers ever

His name will be solidified in history forever, and we can’t let this legacy of his die.

Fat men who are a solid, sturdy presence at the edge of a push pit. And whose bellies shake and wobble deliciously when they two-step 😊

On one hand I am upset that the new OFF release won't have it's original soundtrack as a toggleable option (the loss of Pepper Steak is upsetting for a lot of people, but losing Unreasonable Behavior, Stay In Your Coma, and Flesh Maze Tango is personally very upsetting for me.), but I fully understand why they couldn't secure the rights for it, and I don't blame ACC in any way for being uncomfortable signing a contract, especially when it'd be difficult to vet a lot of the samples used.

That said, the original game is always going to be there. It's not going anywhere, it will always be available for download and it will always be free. They're not pulling a SEGA and removing the original from online stores to corral you into purchasing the remaster, it's not going away, it will always be there. And frankly, I will gladly take that compromise. A new soundtrack is very, very exciting to me, and I look forward to hearing what the new composers put out for it.

When it comes to the people they both know:

MELLY IS NUMBER ONE FOR SURE and LIKELY THE ONLY ONE LOL 👀💪💪💪 I feel like her core thing is 'to protect'. She protects the innocent and the vulnerable. Her focus is insects until she meets Alice. After meeting Alice and realizing that she is in fact 'Alice' she starts putting things in action to help Alice get out, including convincing Norton to switch sides. She would do everything in her power to make sure the kid had the best up bringing and she has the money to do so as well 🙏🙏🙏 She will also eliminate threats and ya know what good for her lol

the more I think about it, the more she would be the only one that both Norton and Alice would agree would be the best fit

They can't really trust the kiddo to Frederick cause I can see him kinda too zoned out and distracted and run down to be able to care for a kiddo ;; He might sort himself out as best he can to help the kid but not sure he could do it for the long run. But who knows, maybe the kid would help keep those voices at bay

Definitely not Orpheus, heck they need to protect the kid from Orpheus. He doesn't even take care of himself (judging how he is as a detective) he is far too unstable oh my GOSH He might not be able to separate that the kid is from Alice and Norton, that the kid is tainted because Norton was the father and I am worried that the nightmare side of him won't treat the child well because of that. And like make the kid pay the price Norton was supposed to. To make the kid the villain Norton was supposed to be 😨😭😭😭 But then there is the other side of wanting to protect the kid because they are also half of Alice.... so the kid would be his 'dangerous nightingale' ugh

Alice knows other people that would protect the kiddo as well, likely, but Melly would be the one that they BOTH know and trusted back then and can trust now and in the future and I am sure Frederick would visit and help where he can~

Orpheus would have to be kept away oh my gosh 😵‍💫

Remembering Alf Clausen 1941-2025

Music composer Alf Clausen has died at 84. He was the music composer on the coincidentally named Alf (NBC 1986-1990). In addition to the theme music, he did the music played during the show and songs (he did Alf's rock video song "You're the One Who's Out of This World"). Still one of my all-time favorite shows! Also sad is that in the last year we lost Alf alumni cast member Benji Gregory, writer Mitzi McCall, writer David Steven Cohen, and writer Steve Pepoon. A few years later Clausen did some of the music for Alf creator Paul Fusco's animated series Spacecats (NBC 1991-92).

Clausen won some Emmy Awards for his work on The Simpsons. He did music composition on 596 episodes between 1990 and 2017. Other notable music contributions include Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Naked Gun and TV's Moonlighting (ABC 1985-1989).
