in regards to the international court of justice ruling in favor of south africa's case, PLEASE do not fall into imperialistic pessimism. this is an unprecedented moment in history. even if the icj doesn't have absolute power to dismantle colonial forces (which no institution in the world has), even if there's still a long way to go between this ruling and a ceasefire, even if there's still so much to be done, this is the first time the occupational forces in palestine have been faced with this amount of international opposition, and it is strong international opposition that causes colonial forces to fall. do not fall into the "this is a theatre", "this is just symbolic", "this means nothing" discourse. bringing about freedom to palestine, and all colonized nations and peoples, includes judicial bureaucracy just as much as boycotting, violent opposition, blockades, sanctions etc. there has to be an official international position on the matter, and this is it. the icj ruling won't stop the occupation forces, but without this ruling things would be that much harder for the palestinian cause on the world stage. let's keep going from here.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION:
I don't know who they are [the people buried]. Every time I pass by here, I stop and say hello. We found them weeks ago lying and covered in their own blood in the middle of the road, two young men in the flower of their youth seemed as if they are sleeping. We buried them in the eastern region of Al Saraya.
I am sorry to all the unidentified martyrs. I am sorry to every martyr we did not bury till now. I am sorry to all the martyrs we couldn't register the names of or save their pictures. I am sorry to every martyr who offered his soul for the land [Gaza/Palestine] and wasn't given his own grave to rest in. I am sorry to my friend Refaat @/itranslate123 who has been under the rubble for 40 days and still is. I am sorry once to the martyrs we know, and a thousand times for those we don't.

The idea of having a loved one killed and buried without my knowledge is terrifying. However, it is the reality of many Palestinians who bury unidentified martyrs, and the Palestinians who cannot find their family members and do not know whether they're still alive or not. We must keep talking about Palestine, and we must keep exposing the crimes of the Israeli occupation!

From Al Jazeera, explaining the ICJ verdict in the South Africa/Israel case.
This is nowhere near enough (no ceasefire and Israel has not been ordered to stop its military operations in Gaza) but it’s a step in the right direction. We need to use this ruling to pressure Israel’s allies to stop funding and supporting the genocide.

I do not have much faith in what the outcome will be given what a joke the United Nations is, and how certain countries so obviously stand above international law (including the US and Israel) and it’s also obvious Israel took the accusations as a joke if you watched the hearing (it’s on YouTube on Al Jazeera) but regardless, having Israel’s crimes highlighted, and Israel’s ridiculous lazy response shown to the world makes me feel slightly better.

it actually really fucks me off to see people praising the ICJ’s decision when the Palestinians actually on the ground communicating with us are screaming to the rooftops that this isn’t enough. all the lib-brained cretins on this website crowing about ‘progress’ don’t seem to understand that incremental change means less than fucking nothing when you’re on the ground, watching your home and family and your people being bombed, systematically destroyed by israeli troops. it means nothing when you’re afraid for your life.
Palestinians don’t have the luxury of waiting, and we all know full well that Israel WILL NOT abide by this ruling. Unless greater intervention is made, the bombardment will continue; but the ICJ is a bourgeois, imperialist court, made to serve bourgeois, imperialist interests. While they have shown themselves to be more benevolent than I had expected by condemning israel and conceding that they are committing genocide, the fact that they couldn’t even ask for a ceasefire speaks volumes.
Whether it’s due to deliberate inaction or whether they simply lack the capacity to do so, the ‘international community’ is still failing Palestine. It is up to us to continue the pressure, continue the boycotts, continue the action; and to threaten greater disruptions if further progress is not made.

The International Court of Justice delivered its provisional measures regarding South Africa's charge of genocide against the zionist entity.
A ceasefire was not called for. The Court asked the zionist entity to take actions to prevent incitement to genocide, avoid actions related to the killing, assault, and destruction of residents of the Gaza Strip, and allow increased humanitarian aid. The Court gave the zionist entity one month to respond to these measures.
The International Court of Justice gave the Nazi entity a month to impose measures to protect civilians, while the court called on Hamas to immediately hand over the Zionist prisoners (Israeli soldiers)..
The court accepted the trial of the criminal Israeli entity on charges of genocide (the court’s decision would be issued years later), but it did not impose an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip..
The only thing that the court sought to implement immediately was the release of the Israeli soldiers..
What about the people of Gaza.. What about their hunger and thirst.. What about the epidemics and diseases that spread due to poor health and living conditions?
What about the tears of the children of Gaza.. What about the hospitals and UNRWA schools that the Israeli occupation is bombing on the heads of the displaced people who took refuge in them?
What about the Israeli occupation’s bombing of displaced people queuing up to get a little flour? What about the Israeli occupation’s sniping of civilians who raise white flags during their displacement?
A permanent ceasefire and allowing humanitarian and medical aid to enter the Gaza Strip. This must be immediate.
Fucking world..
