Miriam "Mimi" Rogers (nacida Spickler; Coral Gables, Florida; 27 de enero de 1956) es una actriz estadounidense que alcanzó la fama con su participación en la película "La sombra del testigo" de 1987. Ha producido varios filmes para televisión y es una jugadora de póquer competitivo.

Su primer matrimonio fue en 1976 con Jim Rogers, consejero de la Iglesia de la Cienciología. Se divorciaron en 1980.

A principios de la década de 1980 hizo sus primeros trabajos como actriz en televisión, participando en series tales como "Hill Street" "Blues", "Quincy M.E" y "Magnum P.I." 

También pudo vérsele en películas producidas para TV, como "Divorce Wars", "Hear No Evil", "The Rousters" y en el thriller "Hider in the House" (En el silencio de la noche), junto a Gary Busey.

Por otra parte, el matrimonio con una joven (8 años menos) pero ya establecida estrella de cine, Tom Cruise, puso a la actriz en el centro de la escena hollywoodense.

Su matrimonio con el famoso actor terminó en febrero de 1990 y Mimi se lanzó directamente al trabajo, participando en proyectos como "The Doors" y "Wedlock".

En 1991 protagonizó la controvertida "El despertar de Sharon", un filme de Michael Tolkin que analiza la religión en Estados Unidos, donde representó a una operadora telefónica que decide cambiar su vida promiscua por una de devota religiosidad. Este papel le valió una nominación por Mejor Actriz Protagónica en los Independent Spirit Awards.

Admirada por su voluptuosa figura, la actriz tomó la oportunidad para lucirla en la revista Playboy en 1993, donde también concedió una entrevista en la que habló sobre su carrera y su fallido matrimonio con Tom Cruise.

the reason I've always been a bit of a Diana Fowley apologist is that well before I ever saw any The X Files or any Diana episodes, one of my favourite tv christmas movies to watch while avoiding my pre-winter break homework was an ABC family production called The Christmas List starring Mimi Rogers. The character, Melody Paris (Parish? icr) was the opposite of Diana in basically every way, a quiet, unassertive woman with a nitpicky boyfriend who takes her for granted and a disinterested yet demanding mother and department store work colleagues who take advantage of her, and it's a very cheesy little plot with ~a magic christmas wishlist, but i imprinted on it at like age 10 (along with the Eric McCormick borrows a wife and daughter one and that terrible 1990 HBO The Babysitters Club christmas special) as a part of my Endearingly Bad TV For The Holidays annual tradition. So no matter how corrupt and manipulative Diana is, there's a part of my brain going, "But that's Melody from the perfume counter <3, I can't hate her!"

Since some of you are apparently stupid, let me spell this out for you.

Benny was not correct, justified, or anything other than a horrible person for demanding the rent.

His reasoning for him doing that has NOTHING to do with money. HE DOES NOT NEED THE MONEY. I doubt he even wants it- however, what he DOES want is for Maureen to back down.

He knows what Maureen is planning, and he knows what she’s like. She explicitly hates him for being a class traitor and is stubborn as all hell. If he had blackmailed her directly, it would have just made her even more determined to protest what he was doing.

Blackmailing Mark by saying “you’ll get Maureen to cancel her protest or else” is his best option, because he knows Mark at least stands a chance.

He is blackmailing them for his own selfish endeavors. That’s it, theres no convoluted reasoning or any ways to justify him for asking for the money.

Benny sucks ass, and if you didn’t understand that, you need to rewatch Rent.
