getting into this awesome new kdrama called see you in my 19th life and i’ve been losing my MIND screaming into my pillow at the angst and poignance but some part of me is fully flabbergasted watching myself sobbing over this cisheterosexual couple in a kdrama. it’s just so ... 5th grade me. i know now that i’m bi and the continued lgbtq+ erasure in most kdramas feel like pointed straight propaganda in the year of our lord 2023. but you know what there is something so gay about being born again and again (in different genders!!!) looking for love and a home and a happy ending, and then ending up with a handsome soft boyfriend who has never done anything wrong ever who is also a passenger princess that you occasionally must rescue from goons with your mad fighting and critical thinking skills. this is a show for bisexuals change my mind

A thought that comes up out of nowhere sometimes is why exactly does Yeonwoo like Kanga Haesol because the level of love he has for her cannot be just because of the bear incident. There has to be something else that we don't know that had him grow to like her as much as he does let's talk about it she helps him find his way back to the group after the scavenger hunt and apparently that's where his like for her turned to love but is that really it? when Haesol asked him why exactly he liked her and he didn't answer. that brought up the question of what his reason for liking her is because even though this story is from his point of view we don't really know why he likes her so much. And yes we know she's hot but that can't be the only reason there has to be something else that we're missing aside from the obvious and them growing closer what the question really is is when did it start and why did it start. Because now that they're in a relationship them growing closer is going to make him like her more but what was really the starting point besides the whole love at first sight.

whew that last prompt made me cry, building off of it lets say that the operation was a success and they were able to bring Dan back! I don’t like to see Herbert sad :(

Oof well, here's the thing, I don't think it'd exactly be the happiest reunion if Dan was brought back. Like, even if he still had his personality intact, I don't think he'd be the same. He'd be traumatised at the fact that he, y'know, died, as well as the fact that he'd be disgusted at his new body. He'd be so angry at Herbert, not only for doing this to him but stealing body parts from other people and killing some of them.

Herbert would be crushed, partially because he can't believe Dan would be so ungrateful but also because can't he see that he's his greatest accomplishment? Dan is a living monument to his work (which Dan is also painfully aware of and hates. He has become the work).

I think they'd stay together because what else could they do? And maybe, somewhere down the line, things start to be ok again.

But I wouldn't worry too much. That prompt was not meant to be canon, so just know that in my mind, couple down the street-verse them are doing just fine :)

The fact that people actually support & defend a "ship" where the girl constantly harrassed the boy for years, chased after him despite him having zero romantic interest in her, and was creepily obsessed with him since childhood. The boy also tried to kill the girl multiple times and straight up said he has no reason to like her and vice versa. Yet people love this "couple" and legitimately think it's romantic. Like, I understand it's fiction but how fucked up do you have to be to think this is in any way healthy or normal or even likeable lmfaooo
