Most Unhinged Dropout Cast Member Poll Bracket - Semi-Finals!!!

Round 3, our most contentious round yet, has reached its close, and we have our four semi-finalists! Still in the running are Izzy Roland, Emily Axford, Ally Beardsley, and Vic Michaelis, and, frankly, I don't think this group has even a single hinge between them, so this next round's gonna be a close one. Looking at my own predictions for the bracket, I'm doing pretty well at this point, though I'll admit I thought Erika might still be with us for the semi-finals (I'd marked that one "unsure," though, since I thought it was a pretty close call between them and Izzy). That said, I don't think there's a single person who's made it this far in this silly little competition who hasn't earned it through some truly outlandish behavior, and that, after all, is what this bracket is all about!

Before our semi-finals commence, some information on round 3:

The poll with the most votes in round 3 was Emily Axford vs. Brennan Lee Mulligan, with 1,180 votes

The contestant who received the most votes was Ally Beardsley, with approximately 795 votes

The most contentious poll (of the entire bracket so far!) was Emily Axford (52%) vs Brennan Lee Mulligan (48%), closely followed by Katie Marovitch (47%) vs. Vic Michaelis (53%)

The most unanimous poll was Ally Beardsley (79%) vs Grant O'Brien (21%)

The winners of this round received, on average, 61% of the votes in their polls, making this (unsurprisingly, as we weed out the most hinged folks) our closest round yet

Looking forward to our semi-finals, I will say that, while I still have my predictions written down and think I may very well be correct, I am not at all confident on who I think is going to be entering that final face-off. At this point we're really down to some wacky people who have each made me laugh out loud (in surprise as much as amusement) too many times to count, and any one of them could be deserving of the title of most unhinged. Can't wait to see who you think is the most deserving of it!

The fourth round of the loser bracket is over!

That round was extremely tight! Indeed, we had the two most narrow polls! Despite attempts to make a tiesweep, Willow eliminated Hunter with a margin of only five votes. And what about Amity? She only took Raine off by two votes!

But soon, we're gonna have a winner!

That's right! There are only two rounds remaining in the main bracket, and we are not gonna stop until we've got a winner. Only four characters can still win. Luz, Eda, Vee, King, who's gonna take it all?

Hello, I come bearing Alphonse Propaganda.

1. Tumblr is the only platform that could allow Al to win. Reddit polls in particular tend to end with Ed vs. Mustang showdowns, because Al isn’t “hardcore” enough or whatever.

2. Alphonse Elric is one of those characters who’s both generally appreciated and underrated. Most people like him, but more attention goes to his role as a foil for Ed than to his own value and flaws as a character. (Sure, he’s cute and kind, but he’s also lonely, kinda ruthless, brilliant, full of rage, master of snark, and a confirmed troll. Through all that, he still chooses human connection over everything else again and again, to the point that he’s willing to “go against the flow of the world” if it means not sacrificing a single one of his desires).

3. While it may be painful to acknowledge, there are some things too important to sacrifice for the sake of a bit. Alphonse Elric is one of those things.

4. Dogs are wonderful, but let’s not forget the cats here. A vote for Al is a vote for both cats and dogs (including Den). He loves them both. Enough said.
