I'd like to point something out regarding Neopolitan's character in relation to two others:

Light Spoiler for Roman Holiday

In Roman Holiday, we learn that Roman Torchwick was the first, and up-'til-now, only person who could understand Neo without the use of her scroll, whether it be through typing or its speaking application. Not even her own parents could understand her without such aids, including her Communication/Spelling Board. But Roman could. In fact he was so adept at understanding her nonverbally, that he was shocked her parents couldn't, or rather, wouldn't.

And as we all know, he was eaten by a Griffin. Thus leaving Neo without that companion who seamlessly understood her.

That is until Neo found her way to Mistral and tracked Cinder down with the help of Little Miss Malachite in volume 6. And from there, Cinder has been shown to easily understand Neo; as easily as Roman had. Continuously and unfailingly, Cinder has never had any trouble understanding Neo.

The two people who have shown unwavering understanding to Neo are the two people she had been allied with. One now dead. And the other, one who had betrayed her.

I wanna talk about Blake’s body language around Yang these last two episodes, cuz I think it’s fascinating how open it’s been compared to normal. Like...

This is two episodes in a row where Blake’s body language is uncharacteristically open towards her, three if we count this.

(Which absolutely we should)

But especially those first two poses are very vulnerable body language-wise, which is something we rarely see from Blake. In fact, her signature move body language-wise is this...

Which is very pointedly closing herself off from her surroundings and others, and despite the progress they’d made, she was still doing this around/because of Yang in V7/8.

And Blake has had every reason to be cautious, given what she’s gone through. Which is why this shift is so special.

Not only has Blake’s body language opened up significantly, but she’s pointedly placing her hands behind her back as she does so (and in the case above, also very much getting into Yang’s personal space).

Which is important to note, because in doing so, she makes it much more difficult to defend herself should Yang lash out at her physically (not that she ever would) and more difficult to self-soothe in case of a verbal/emotional conflict.

But now she’s done giving all those concerns a second thought... cuz Yang isn’t scary. And Blake’s tired of Adam’s ghost trying to tell her that she is.

I'm surprised no one made anything regarding it, but then again I may have just not seen it at all,

Anyway!

I think it's really interesting and important to note that Cinder is found out to have her sword by the Madame and Sisters at close to midnight. We actually see and hear Cinder snap the Madame's neck as the clock strikes 12, and more importantly so does Rhodes. He quite literally walks in to see it happen.

And from there, both him and Cinder fight with Cinder dealing the killing blow with Rhodes' swords.

What was the phrasing? "On the stroke of twelve the spell will be broken."

I'm just saying, I think it's a really great twist on the narrative, you've got:

A) Cinderella character is found to have a sword by Step-mother character (Madame in this instance) and the Sisters as its nearing midnight.

B) she kills them as the clock strikes 12.

C) her Prince Charming comes to witness the Madame's death as the clock strikes 12.

D) Prince Charming turns on her and fights her to the death with her besting him.

And E) all of this plays into "the spell being broken at the stroke of 12".

The comedy of Trolls getting its flowers finally and being recognized as a fun series after the most recent movie when the first one has had me in a chokehold for years. When I used to have Netflix I would just watch that whenever I wanted to have fun.

Sometimes adulthood is looking at a jukebox musical based on a kids toy, and just deciding "yeah actually this is a good movie."
