some more big bang fic bc nothing else exists to me (except my little secret project but that's all hush hush for now)

Eddie tugs at the hem of Buck’s shirt with his other hand. “C’mon, c’mere, kiss me some more.”

A faint hint of a laugh bursts in between them, the heft of it having mostly disintegrated somewhere in Buck’s lungs before making it out of his mouth, and it peeters out quickly, overtaken by Buck’s eagerness to comply with Eddie's request.

“This is really good,” Buck says with deep, rumbling keens in between biting kisses, his fingers curling around the hinge of Eddie’s jaw. “Why haven’t we always been doing this?”

“Dunno. Don’t care. Just keep kissing me.”

“God you’re so bossy.”

Eddie mouths at Buck’s slightly stubbly chin and slides his pinky and ring finger past the waistband of Buck’s sweats. “I think you like it.”

“Never said I didn’t,” Buck replies quickly, nipping at Eddie’s bottom lip and pulling at it until it starts to throb.

“Uh, Eddie, what are you doing?” Buck asks, a sort of terror Eddie hasn’t seen often flickering across his face.

“What’s it look like?”

Buck says nothing so Eddie continues to arrange them, placing Buck’s hand on his shoulder and shyly settling his own hand on Buck’s waist, fingers pressing in to dimple the fat and muscle there. So soft and warm. He wonders what it would look and feel like under his teeth.

Once they are positioned as correctly as they are gonna get, Eddie looks at Buck head on and smiles with a bravery that he doesn’t actually feel but is desperate to exude. “I’m dancing with you,” he says because Buck still looks confused.

Buck makes some sort of choking sound.

Eddie decides to ignore it and takes a bold step forward, leaving Buck with no option other than to step back.

It’s halting and unsteady and Buck is entirely too stiff though really Eddie isn’t doing all that much better because this is a type of close he’s flirted with before, tempting himself and fate so many times as he kept their bodies so very near each other but not near enough to be too dangerous, and he’s utterly unequipped to handle it.

“Buck,” Eddie says in complaint, laughing as the last syllable exits his mouth because Buck’s mouth always needs to be said with either a smile or a laugh. Ideally both.

“You don’t have to,” Buck says as if he’s actually worried Eddie feels obligated. “That wasn’t–I wasn’t–”

“Since when do I do things I don’t want to do?”

“Uh. Pretty much all of the time, Eddie. It’s kind of a staple of your personality.”

“Okay. One, ouch. Two, point. But shut up. It’s you, okay? So I want to.”

haven't written much lately bc I got too into oth and it's day 4 of watching and i'm like halfway through s2 lmao so I don't have much more of the married buddie fic (which is currently my priority) I can share without sharing everything haha - so, fuck it, here's a non-buddie snippet 🙈 i'm writing this just for me so like, who cares but also figured i'd share bc fuck it haha it's a ryan/taylor fic from the oc - they had an open ending where they weren't explicitly together, so in this fic they both go to college and keep in touch but aren't officially dating until she visits for christmukkah and they talk 🤣 it's very slowly coming together bc I deleted what I had and started from scratch lol

It’s hard to coordinate phone calls with a nine hour time difference, especially since Taylor is… well, Taylor is Taylor. She takes up any extracurricular activity she can, gets involved in the social life of her university, and always has her schedule fully packed up. Sometimes when she tells Ryan about her day, he needs to ask if she's taking breaks and has time to breathe. But that’s Taylor. He can’t help but smile as he thinks about her restless need to do it all. He wishes he could be there to make sure she rests, too. 

He wishes he knew where they stand, as well. They’re kinda in this weird limbo right now. They talk at least a few times a week, they spent the last hour before she left making out on the train, but he’s still not sure if they’re dating, if they’re exclusive… He doesn’t think so, and it’s annoying to have to wonder. Taylor is usually so blunt and honest, and she’s always been the one needing reassurances on where they stand. But she’s not saying anything, and it’s slowly driving Ryan crazy.

He picks up the phone and throws his book to the side.

“Hey.” he whispers, falling back against his pillow.

“Hi, Ryan!” he hears her bubbly voice that instantly makes him feel all warm inside. When he closes his eyes, he can see her adorable smile and those piercing hazel eyes that always seem to look straight into his soul. 

“Hey.” he repeats, a smile forcing itself onto his face.
