I need a Murder Husbands Apocalypse AU but it's not Zombies or something. (Mostly because you can't eat Zombies for dinner.)

I want it to be like some world ending physics shit. Like S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Into the Radius or Pacific Drive. Reality is as unstable as the two and in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Will is a woodsman scientist and Hannibal is a Surgeon? They'd be set. They can go where they want, do what they want. I imagine reality warps so they can go back to Wolf Trap and reclaim Will's old house. Turn it into a working base. Then they have a Villa back in Italy or whatever Hannibal wants, that's their home.

I want some science mystical power that lets the two actually convert Will's house into a floating fortress (A kin to Baba Yaga's Hut) so when Will goes out to look at it in the night, to feel safe. It really is a boat in a sea of fog.

I want Will to be completely comfortable in this new life but now Hannibal has nightmares. Hannibal has a hard time adjusting to the more rough and tumble of it all, because he hates being back in a desperate situation but Will tries his best to make him feel better. For once in their relationship Hannibal is on the back foot.

Eventually Will makes enough money, or supplies to insulate Hannibal from the day to day struggle and the two start having fun together. Will teaches Hannibal how to fish. Hannibal teaches Will how to Hunt. They read quietly in their Villa. Make breakfast together.

All their neighbors, and I mean country neighbors where you're miles apart, like the pair. Will gets on the radio to help travelers through their part of the zone. Hannibal joins in after a while, and their dynamic over the radio is adorable. They also know that abrasive travelers tend to disappear more often in their area of the zone. They don't question it because how could such lovely people have anything to do with it, and good riddance to the rude.
