Okay, listen, when he met you, he instantly forgot about Ayako. He doesn't care anymore.

He was the one person that you suddenly started seeing on the corridor 'randomly' (he was running through the whole school just to see you, even though you never spoke before).

When Hanamichi found out about the fact that he's literally smitten over you, he made a meeting with the team just to help Ryota out with making his first move lmao.

They ended up inviting you to their practice to make him talk to you because he was scared that you wouldn't even talk to him in the first place.

He was quickly surprised because you got along really well with each other.

You quickly started dating, and he treats you like a princess.

He likes to joke around from time to time. But if he ever hears someone joking about you, Better run.

Holds your hand EVERYWHERE.

He's a teenager, but this one kind is really mature. He even invited you over to a dinner at his place to meet his parents and sisters.

His family loves youuuu.

He started inviting you over more often after that; he ends up at his practice, takes your hand, and leads you to his house.

His mom shows you albums with his pictures, and he has to literally drag you away to spend time with you. You're a part of the family at this point.

He cuddles with you in his room until you have to go home. He'll escort you right to your house.

Sometimes, when you're bored, you and his sisters make him a makeover and watch movies.

He may be mature, but he's a jealous boy. When he sees you talk to any boy, he'll walk over to you, hug you from behind, put his head on your shoulder, and stare at the poor guy. You have to explain to him that the guy was your classmate, but he shushes you with a kiss.

If we speak about kisses, He can't really kiss you when you're over at his house because of his sisters and parents (who still give you quick peeks when no one watches), so he hides with you behind the gym sometimes to make out.

He'll be just kissing you there with a big grin on his face, checking if no one walks by from time to time.

You don't argue very often, but when you do, it's to the point that even his parents are worried about your relationship.

If the fight was his fault, he'll buy you flowers. Be 100% sure about that.

If it was your fault, though, he'd be just silent, sad, and distracted at his practices and matches, so please just apologise to this poor boy. He really craves it and is ready to forgive you.

Over all, 9/10, boyfriend.

Hanamichi Sakuragi 🌸

He'd be the most likely to start one, but is the least likely to actually win one. That's all you need to know.

I can imagine the Shohoku basketball team sitting down to watch a movie at someone's house and Sakuragi just .. throwing a pillow at someone out of nowhere.

(Someone being a certain ace player named Kaede Rukawa-)

He'd start the messiest and most chaotic pillow fight of the century and yet he's the one who gets whacked the most. (╥﹏╥)

He'd also get sick of getting whacked after awhile and will absolutely headbutt anyone who tries to do so again -

^^ It failed and he still gets walloped over the head anyways -

If Haruko were to be present, Sakuragi would fight tooth and nail to ensure that she doesn't get hit by anyone ... not that anyone would want to hit Haruko anyways .. (insert Akagi side-eyeing anyone who even dares to do so)

Ryota Miyagi ⚡

He'd side first with Sakuragi and would join in just for shits and giggles, but after a while he'd turn on Sakuragi and just go crazy with it.

Eventually he'd start to go after everyone and anyone. Except maybe Haruko because y'know. Akagi's scary when he's pissed.

Same as with Sakuragi, if Ayako were to be there he'd try to protect her from getting clobbered, but if anything Ayako would be the one clobbering him --

Somehow it's pretty hard to get a hit on him because he's running and jumping from place to place like lightning (winkwink)

And honestly, Ryota wouldn't let anyone hit him except for Ayako LMAO

Kaede Rukawa 💤

He'd be sleeping when the Great Pillow War commenced, but after being waken up with a couple of whacks by a certain hot-tempered redhead delinquent .. oh boy.

Rukawa is sitting straight up, glaring daggers at Sakuragi and clenching the pillow as hard as he can.

Tunnel vision on Sakuragi. Rukawa's seeing red and he's making a beeline for the so-called genius and no one is stopping him .

I imagine that someone else would be smacking him with a pillow and he just waves them away like a fly and just keeps on attacking Sakuragi (╥﹏╥)

Hisashi Mitsui 🦷

He'd get really pissy at first but when he decides to retaliate, he does it hard .

Like, I'm talking "cackling as he repeatedly smashes his pillow onto Kogure's head" type of hard. Either that or he turns on all the other members and just starts attacking everyone within a ten-mile radius.

Did he win ?? He did B)) (he didn't win ; he's only telling that to himself to make him feel better)

Kiminobu Kogure 👓

Being the mediator of the team, he'd step in and try to break everyone apart before injuries start happening ,,

,, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't join in the fun just to get back at Mitsui >:))

Eventually he's just lost in the chaos and he's laughing and smiling and having fun and he loves it .

Takenori Akagi 🦍

The one who actually stops the fight . Well, for like a split-second, anyways.

Then Sakuragi's stray pillow hits him full in the face and the next thing everyone knows the Great Pillow War has recommenced with the ferocity and the chaos magnified tenfold !!

Also the one that won the War. Bow before the great Gorilla King.

Retro Random: Slam Dunk pt.2

La juega de calladito pero después la rompe toda en la cancha. Se la pasa despeinado, te mira mal, es fachero, tiene una afición por dormir y llevarse gente puesta con la bici. Sí, estamos hablando de Kaede Rukawa, el Super Loki.

Eterno rival de Hanamichi pero también un ¿compañero?, ¿única persona a la que le dirige la palabra? Porque entre pelea y pelea, al final Rukawa, un antisocial de manual, solo termina hablándole a él. Dicho de otro modo, le presta atención a Hanamichi, hasta lo ha llegado a alentar (a su manera) y felicitar (a su manerax2). Desde el primer momento hubo un chispazo raro entre estos dos. Admitámoslo, son muy shippeables.

Las interacciones del diez y Rukawa siempre me sacaron más de una sonrisa, por no decir que me hacían cagar de risa. Amo cuando Hanamichi no puede soportar su "odio" hacia él. Rukawa, en cambio, poco interés le pone a ese odio sin sentido. Hasta que pierde la paciencia y, como siempre, terminan a las trompadas.

Podríamos decir que no le temen al contacto físico, porque se la pasan, de alguna u otra forma, toqueteándose. Creo que si alguno de los dos tuviera que tomar la delantera para concretar la cosa, ese definitivamente sería Rukawa. Es el que siempre se mostró, al menos un poco, interesado genuinamente en Sakuragi y en sus progresos. En silencio, lo observa. Por otro lado, el pelirrojo nunca podría superar su orgullo y decirle lo que siente. Mejor dejémosle esa tarea a Rukawa *sueña*. Sí, los estoy shippeando. Déjenme ser *shora*.

Volviendo a la realidad, creo que dentro de todo ese odio sin sentido se forjó un compañerismo que solo ellos comparten y entienden y que fue sellado finalmente de esta manera.

Como era de esperarse, esta enemistad, en su momento, dio lugar a la fantasía del Enemies to lovers y al nacimiento de miles y miles de Doujins, Fanarts y Fanfictions (tengo uno pendiente de ellos que pronto voy a publicar). Gracias a dios existían para alimentarnos un poco a nosotrxs, lxs que apoyábamos la idea de que estuvieran juntos.

No solo se los shipeó a ellos sino también a todos los pibes de los equipos, pero, en mi opinión, esta fue una de las parejitas Yaoi más codiciada de la época y la apoyo al 100 %. Porque sí, amo el Enemies to Lovers. No hay cliché más hermoso.

Dale, se ven super lindos juntos ♥ Ay no puedo, se me salen los grititos de fangirl.

Volviendo a la calidad de Rukawa como jugador, probablemente se convierta en el mejor jugador de Japón antes de irse para EE.UU. Lo último que supimos de él fue que estaba entrenando con la selección de Japón. Bien pibe, ¡llegaste lejos!

Para cerrar este arco medio Yaoi, la pregunta del millón: ¿qué sentirá Hanamichi realmente por Rukawa? La verdad, no creo que lo odie tanto como dice. Sufre de celos por el tema de Haruko, pero de ahí a odiar... De hecho, me animaría a decir que muy dentro de sí lo respeta y quiere ser como él (además de querer ganarle). Es su rival. Ese rival que todos necesitamos tener alguna vez en la vida para superarnos a nosotros mismos. No por eso hay que andar dándole cabezazos, aviso. Se puede tener un rival sano y no desearle la muerte. Él solo está ahí para endurecernos. Eso es lo que genera Rukawa en Hanamichi, le da ganas de superarse a sí mismo, de crecer. Y qué orgullosa estoy de lo mucho que creció nuestro pelirrojo.

Pero mirá esa clavaada papáaa. ¿Se acuerdan lo que era este pibe al principio de la serie?

Desobediente, violento, no quería entrenar lo básico, se la pasaba paveando y alardeando, sin embargo, en poco tiempo se convirtió en un tipo responsable que se preocupa sinceramente por su equipo. Sigue siendo un engreído y sabemos que nos encanta cuando se caga a trompadas con alguien, pero también se nota que maneja otro tipo de madurez ya para la mitad del manga. El Básquet le dio disciplina y sacó a relucir su mejor lado: la perseverancia.

Podemos decir que el diez encontró su camino y lo va a dar todo para ser el mejor. Después de todo, él es muy talentoso (léase con su voz en latino).

Sé que no dije nada nuevo que los conocedores de la serie no sepan, solo tenía ganas de hablar un ratito de estos increíbles personajes que me dieron vida muchos años y aún me dan. Ahora nos queda esperar la peli. Mejor dicho, rogar que nos llegue. Ya no tengo uñas.

Para ir terminando, voy a dejar una de las secuencias que más me divierten de la serie: Rukawa, su bici rosa y los porrazos.

¿Se puede ser tan distraído? Claro que sí, doy fe. Una vez me dormí andando en bici. No se lo recomiendo a nadie, todavía tengo la cicatriz.

Bueno, una más y no jodemos más.

Voy a terminar este posteo del recuerdo como corresponde, con un temazo que nos llena de nostalgia agridulce a todos los fans. Momento de ponerse de pie para aplaudir al jugador estrella: Mitsui.

They looked at each other like two rabid dogs.

"Baka Kitsune." Sakuragi growled.

"Do'aho." Rukawa hissed.

"Get out."

"It's a public ground."

"It's an I don't give a fuck, I was here first."

"Do'aho, we're stuck in the entrance. If you were here first, this damn door wouldn't be ripping my sweatshirt."

"Since when you talk so much?"

"Trying to confuse you, so you'll go away."

"Why don't..." a trembling voice said, and they managed to turn back enough to look at Haruko, who was just standing there, holding a basketball, "Why don't you play together? I mean, it's funnier when you're not alone."

Rukawa was the first to allow some negotiation: "Will you be a pain in the ass?"

"Not if you don't play the damn queen of the ball."

"Queen of the what?!" Rukawa hissed.

"And get out of this fucking door!"

"I would, if you weren't so fucking huge!"

"Oho, Rukawa said a bad word!"

"Not as bad as the ones you say!"

They went on for a while, and Haruko eventually decided to sat down on the ball, waiting for them to calm down.

Those two were so cute when they argued, mostly because they always ended up being by the other's side: no one could dare to insult Rukawa if not Sakuragi, and the other way around.

Haruko placed her chin on her hand, wondering when they were going to realise that teasing each other was a hobby they shared.

So kawaii...

“Hanamichi, sono quasi sicuro che Haruko abbia deciso di dichiararsi a Rukawa. Mi ha fatto tutto un discorso sul prendere in mano le redini della propria vita, buttarsi, essere pronti a rischiare… E ha nominato Rukawa, ecco…”

E per quello si era messo a correre.

Questa settimana comincia la storia che sto scrivendo ormai da Dicembre.

È ambientata nel mondo di Slam Dunk, che io ho amato per anni tanto e tanto tempo fa, ma che poi ho messo in un cantuccio, certa di aver letto e imparato abbastanza da quei ragazzi. È stato forse il manga che ho letto di più in vita mia.

Poi qualche mese fa @wisesnail mi ha annunciato che lo stava rileggendo, eravamo a Novembre. E visto il suo entusiasmo così contagioso ho pensato che era ora anche per me di rileggerlo, erano passati quasi vent’anni.

Ed è stato un amore rinato in modo completamente diverso.

Slam Dunk (ieri e oggi)

Mentre rileggevo io, stava rileggendo anche Wisesnail ed è stato un continuo scambio di impressioni, analisi dei personaggi, risate per le parti più divertenti e lacrime per quelle più toccanti.

Come ho già detto anche a lei, il Natale 2020 doveva essere a tutti gli effetti una mezza schifezza, invece per me è stato uno dei più belli degli ultimi cinque anni.

Ho iniziato a scrivere guidata dalla voglia di avere per le mani personaggi così diversi da Hannibal e Will, per una volta. Ad un certo punto ho desiderato tantissimo parlare di come poteva evolversi un sentimento tra ragazzi del genere: appassionati, brillanti, vivaci, pieni di vita e così belli dentro.

Quelli di Slam Dunk sono tutti personaggi indimenticabili, a partire dai loro tratti così diversi, dalle loro caratteristiche fisiche che Inoue ha così ben differenziato, fino al loro carattere. E si fatica a trovarne di antipatici.

Sono tutti motivati dal grande amore per il basket e tutti con una loro storia alle spalle che, anche se non viene raccontata, è bello potersi immaginare. Così come abbiamo fatto e tuttora facciamo io e Wisesnail su ogni singolo personaggio a cui ci dedichiamo.

Per questa storia a capitoli ho scelto Sakuragi e Rukawa, perché mi sono resa conto che non li avevo mai capiti come li capisco adesso. Rileggere Slam Dunk ora è stato una rivelazione con tanti, tantissimi momenti in cui mi sono resa conto che a leggerlo nel corso dei miei vent’anni mi ero persa troppe cose che invece ora mi toccano profondamente.

Questa storia è dedicata a Wisesnail, ovviamente, perché per merito suo ho riaperto i miei volumetti custoditi gelosamente su uno degli scaffali della mia libreria e perché è merito suo e dei suoi disegni se ogni giorno sono stata ispirata ad andare avanti con questo racconto.

In più la ringrazio infinitamente per tutte le chiacchierate sul Giappone, che lei conosce molto meglio di me, sugli usi e costumi, sul cibo meraviglioso, sul sistema scolastico e lo sport in generale, anche se ad oggi ci capisco ancora poco e lo noterete. Ho piegato Kanagawa un po’ al mio volere, ma questo è un mio marchio di fabbrica, sapete che odio parlare dei posti geograficamente corretti.

E le tempistiche di campionati, lezioni e allenamenti sono anche quelle un po’ a sentimento.

Ringrazio ancora Wisesnail per tutte le traduzioni che le ho chiesto dal manga originale e che lei mi ha fatto tirandomi su di morale, perché è vero che Slam Dunk è tradotto benissimo in italiano, ma se vi concentrate sui personaggi e sul loro studio come abbiamo fatto Wisesnail ed io, vi accorgerete che alcuni insulti, alcuni epiteti, alcuni modi di rivolgersi agli altri come sono stati tradotti in Italia sono semplicemente inaccettabili ed infatti non erano così in originale. Sapere che Inoue non ha usato termini come “donnicciola” nella sua opera mi rincuora e sapere che Hanamichi non si rivolgerebbe mai a delle ragazze dando loro delle “cretine” è semplicemente quello che mi aspettavo da lui.

Avrei da dire il mondo ancora, ma verrebbe fuori un altro capitolo della fanfic e allora vi lascio alla lettura.

Solo sappiate che per quanto si parli di ragazzi giovani, io non riesco a separare questa consapevolezza dal fatto che poi nel manga sono disegnati con aspetto molto più grande. Quindi prendete la loro maturità e i loro discorsi come il risultato del meraviglioso lavoro che ha fatto Inoue nel rendere questi ragazzi dei giovani adulti nelle loro molteplici sfaccettature e già incredibilmente decisi e determinati nella vita.

Sarò qui ad ogni capitolo come sempre, per qualunque cosa abbiate voglia di condividere su Slam Dunk.

Sa kwentong ito naipapakita ang dalawang magkaibigan na papangalanan nalang natin sila ay sina Chito at ang babae ay si Maria, si Maria ay mayroong kasintahan na papangalanan natin siyang si Jerry, Si Chito ay may pagtingin kay Maria at kinaiinisan nya si Jerry dahil sa palagi niyang sinasaktan si Maria. Isang araw habang papasok nang paaralan si Chito ay nakasabay niya si Maria sa daan, sila’y masayang nagkukwentuhan habang naglalakad, biglang nabanggit ni Maria ang kaniyang kasintahan na si Jerry. At napatanong si Chito “bakit anong nangyari?” Tanong ni Chito na nakakurot ang kilay At biglang naiyak si Maria, “sinaktan nya nananaman ako” banggit ni Maria habang naluluha. “umiiyak kananaman?” Tanong ulit ni Chito na mayroong pagka inis Chito- “Lang hiya talaga wala kabang ibang alam? ACTIVITY 2 CHILDREN’S LITERATURE                                                  Ang Tuutubi Kaygandang panoorin ang iba’t ibang uri ng insektong lumilipad na animoy nakipagkarerahan sa isa’t isa sa pagdapo sa mga halaman. Ngunit isa sa nagustuhan ko ay ang mga tutubi kayganda nilang panoorin dahil sa taglay nilang kulay at anyo. Para sa akin sila’y may magandang papel sa aking buhay. Minsa’y habang ako ay nakaupo at nag-iisip kung anong paksa ang aking isusulat sa aming klase sa computer ay nakita ko ang pulang tutubi lumilipad malapit sa aking kinaroroonan at pinagmasdan ko itong mabuti naisip kong napakabait ng Panginoon sa atin. Binigyan nya tayo ng mga hayop at halaman na makapagpasaya at magbibigay aliw sa atin kung tayo’y nalulungkot at kung tayo’y may gusting gawin. Sila kumbaga ang nagsilbing daan upang maisipan natin ang tama at nararapat gawin. Bumalik sa aking ala-ala ang mga masasayang araw ng aking kabataan. ACTIVITY 3 HISTORICAL NON-FICTION                             Philippine History - Spanish Era In 1521, a Spanish explorer by the name of Ferdinand Magellan or Ferdinande Magallanes in Spanish, reached the Philippines via circumnavigation through the Magellan Strait. They were originally supposed to get to East Indies for spices, but the route of going west got them to the Philippines. The Spaniards settled in the civilization of Cebu. Where they lived off of bananas and coconuts. They also introduced Roman Catholicism to the Philippines, which the natives did accept. However, the chief, Datu Lapu-Lapu, did not like this, and battled Magellan and his armies at the town of Mactan. Even though Magellan and his men did have much better technology and weaponry, the natives won. The Spaniards could not believe it, as they were forced into inevitable retreat. You see, the problem here was the numbers. The natives had tens of thousands of people while Magellan only had a set of 5 boats populated with I would say... at least about a hundred per boat. And even then, the Spaniards lost 2 of the 5 boats before the battle. The Santiago got wrecked by a storm, and another, the San Antonio retreated back home, at the fear of getting captured. 22 years later, 1543, another Spaniard expedition was sent which was led by missionary Ruy Lopez de Villalobos, and it passed by once again, in the Philippines. However, Villalobos did not get out and spread Catholicism or any other Spaniard culture to the Filipinos unlike Magellan did. Which was a good thing as it would've been a benefit to both the natives and the Spaniards, as both would've lost a lot of men if it was the opposite that happened.Villalobos was still remembered though as he was responsible for the country's name, Philippines. Or what he called it which was "Las Islas Filipinas". He named the country in honor to Philip II of Austria who then became King Philip II of Spain. However, everything changed another 22 years later, 1565, when Miguel Lopez De Legazpi showed up. Miguel was another Spanish missionary who was now actually supposed to target the Philippines. With the invention of gunpowder, which then resulted into the invention of guns, cannons and other explosives, the Spaniards now were ready to take on the natives, because they believed that even numbers could not take on weaponry as improved as guns and cannons. It was true. At the end, the Spaniards took over the Filipino land. This led to a tension between the Catholic Spaniards and the Islamic Bruneans, who also had former influence on the archipelago. The Spaniards won, and they took over the Philippine Islands until 1762 where the Seven Years War got the capital state of Manila to British hands until 1764. They then ruled the next 134 years under the colonial state of New Spain. The Filipinos transformed into Roman Catholics, and it also affected other factors. The Spaniards affected the language, creating a Spanish-like language. Words like lapis, lamesa, pamilya, and bintana are examples of such. The Spaniards also affected food and cuisine. Giving the idea of dishes such as Adobo, Menudo, Leche Flan, Champorado and Puto to the Filipinos. But theres a whole other side of Spanish colonialism, a bad side.Men aging from 16 to 60 years old were often enslaved, to work and work with minimum rest in a campaign called Polo y Servicio, taxes were completely high, women were treated worse, and those who oppose the Spaniards or could not afford taxes, were often given a death sentence. Then 1872 came in, and its an important year on Philippine History. 3 priests named Mariano Gomez, Jose Burgos and Jacinto Zamora were executed on February due to martyrdom by garrote. They have been mistaken as leaders of the Cavite Mutiny which happened 1 month earlier.The Filipinos realized that the Spaniards were too cruel, and they needed to stop.One of them, Graciano Lopez Jaena, wrote a newspaper named "La Solidaridad" and spread news about how Spanish colonialism was corrupt and how colonies should be treated as good as they did with actual Spaniards.It failed. Rizal who was truly disappointed in the propaganda movement however, did not back down and went back to the Philippines and decided to make a team called the La Liga Filipina.However, the Spanish realized Rizal's doings and arrested him on the spot. He was then exiled to Dapitan City, Zamboanga.With the leader Rizal gone, the fate of La Liga Filipina was up to itself. It split into two groups. Rereading the Slam Dunk manga reminded me how I started fan fiction in the first place

I don’t really know what this adds, but the story is so great yet I feel like more could be added to it. The perfect storm of completed character arcs and the yearning for continuous growth made me look into and read continuations of the story.

I did not know it at the time, but that was my first time reading fan fiction. Now while I had unknowingly read some fan fiction, I didn’t go back to it for a while and I still had preconceptions about what fan fiction was all about.

Fast forward to about three years later, I had just watched and subsequently read the MHA manga. I was going through a tough time and seeing Izuku being told he could be a hero almost brought tears to my eyes. I ignored my school work and watched the entirety of the first two seasons. I then realized that wasn’t enough MHA for me and read an ongoing manga for the first time ever. This is starting to get long, but eventually I reach a stable point where I want more beyond the once weekly manga releases. I find a fic that I really like (Viridescent) and boom I’m hooked.

With my personality, when I get hooked on something, I completely latch on to it. I don’t binge shows, I annihilate them. Eventually, I had read almost all of the stories that would interest me. At this point, I had reached a very good spot in my life. I sit down and think about all the missed opportunities for cool things that people could write fanfics of. I thought to myself, ‘now, while it would be cool to read these stories, how could I enjoy it if I’m writing it myself’? I decided to try and find out.

I started off on fire. I wrote 3.5k words in the first two days and managed to average 1k + for the next 4 days. While my writing slowed down a bunch, I still managed to come back and write 500+ words on a semi regular basis. While I didn’t edit, it eventually became a fun past time for me. About a year and a half ago, I look at the little document I made. And notice I’m at around 27k or 40k words into it. Now I hadn’t ever imagined posting, but I’m having a chill afternoon to myself and I go to work on my fanfic. I feel like the few days prior hadn’t had many people posting so I decided, ‘fuck it, no point in just keeping it on my computer.’ I spend the next 8 hours trying to edit and I absolutely hate it. I burn myself out after like 10-15 minutes of proper editing. I end up putting the work in some grammarly thing and quickly get rid of egregious mistakes. It’s nearly 10 pm, 4 hours after I planned on posting. I figured that I still wanted to post it even if I don’t get prime numbers and bam, it’s on the ff.net website and A03. I wait anxiously on my computer, refreshing to see if hits go up. It takes a few minutes but I get the first notification that someone followed and favorited me. I get another and more and more. I realize I can’t stay up all night waiting so I fall asleep. Waking up to over 100 cross platform likes and follows was definitely a good feeling.

Fast forward to today. I haven’t made significant progress on my fic in a while. I even started a new fic just so I could write a little fan fiction without worrying about my main story. I still very much enjoy fan fiction, but I’ve struggled getting past the current part of my story. I still haven’t posted any part of my story that I struggled to write so I worry about the reception. I’m also just struggling to write what I’m doing currently. I’m like 40k words ahead of what I’ve posted, but I vow to keep on going. I enjoy this. Lol this has been a ramble, but I very much appreciate all of this. And none of it would be possible without a very athletic Hanamichi Sakuragi inspiring me.

Hopefully this adds something to someone’s life in any way. I doubt anyone will read all of it, I wouldn’t in your shoes, but I’d love to have some dialogue about your and my struggles and successes with fan fiction. :)

AO3 Timeline Update + Sketches I haven’t posted yet!

Hello, people of tumblr! I’m here with a report on the update status for all of my unfinished works on Archive of Our Own! For those of you who don’t know, on AO3 my username is Moonshot_Sputnik and I have a variety of fics that I’m known for! My tumblr is the only place where I share my fics so a lot of people come from my AO3 to my tumblr for updates and art or from my tumblr where I talk about my work to my AO3 to read them.

A lot of people have been commenting on my works asking when I’ll update them so I figured I should make a master post about when they’ll come out, both as a means for me to commit to something and as a way to show you guys that they haven’t been abandoned. Below I won’t be linking the works since they generate that whole AO3 pop up and that’s obnoxious. What I will link though is my whole page itself, so here it is:

And that’s all the works that I have that are unfinished currently. Every other fic of mine is completed. On my page I have 13 works both active and completed, as well as 2 drafts that I have given up on (for now) and haven’t posted. The top three fics that I mentioned are of my utmost importance at the moment and I plan on completing them at some point. Updates on the last three will likely vary from when I actually get to them. The first three, however, should be fairly timely. Please be patient with me, as of late I’ve had a problem with starting fics and then not finishing them before moving on. I used to be so good about that. So I swear to all of my loyal readers that they will come out soon!

⸝⸝ note : t'was my own birthday a week ago ! turned one year older and now my bones are crumbling to dust as we speak /j also, first-ever time writing for him, so i might edit this as time goes on !

poor thing doesn't know what to give haruko at first. he'll try to ask his friends for ideas but to be honest they weren't much help (god forbid hanamichi gifts her cheap jewelry or plain clothing or a dollhouse-). so after the usual distribution of headbutts for such bad suggestions, mito had the brilliant idea to make hanamichi gift her a home-cooked bento.

and of course, hanamichi took that idea as his own and dragged the others into the nearest market for fresh ingredients. they pooled all the money they could find in their pockets and threatened bargained the store owners into letting them buy it for cheap and walked out with a bag full of vegetables and meat.

at home, the five friends got to work, teaching hanamichi how to make the perfect bento - they instructed hanamichi how to boil an egg without burning the stove; they taught hanamichi how to fry sausages without turning his fingers into soot; they helped hanamichi cook the rice without busting the electric cooker.

"the genius doesn't need anyone teaching him how to cook !" - hanamichi, as his pan starts smoking and flames start appearing.

when the practice-bento was finished, everyone crowded around it for the taste test. admittedly, the potatoes were undercooked and the meat still a bit hard to chew, but for hanamichi's first time cooking a full meal, it was a damn good first try.

 look, you can't look at me in the eye and tell me hanamichi doesn't live on cupped ramen and packed food from the local convenience store -

tomorrow arrives - haruko’s birthday.

hanamichi is up before the sun even rose, his eyebrows furrowed in concentration as he watches over the boiling eggs and the rice bubbling on the cooker.

twice he forgot his friends' instructions and panicked (was it two teaspoons of soy sauce or three?), but he still managed to get it cooked and arranged in a neat little bento box.

steaming, shiny rice goes in one corner, sausages and meatballs go into another; boiled potatoes and eggs cluster together in a little square of warmth and homemade sweet-and-sour sauce sits delicately in its own little place.

so he goes off to school, haruko’s bento box wrapped in a thick, red-gingham patterned cloth.

everything that day seems to pass by in a whirlwind - one moment he and the sakuragi squad was laughing and joking on the train, the next the bell was already ringing for the school lunch.

 he was out of his seat before anybody else could exit, and found haruko walking out of her own classroom, laughing with matsui and fijii and then smiling as she spots him.

"hi, hanamichi !" she says, and hanamichi's heart melts into a gooey puddle on the floor. "is that your lunch?" she asks, nodding to the bento box he was holding.

"u-uh, no," he says gruffly, and he bows to her with the bento box outstretched in his hands. "it's for you, happy birthday haruko." even when bowing she can see the intense red blush spreading across his cheeks.

haruko beams, and she takes the bento, admiring the warmth it emitted. hanamichi straightens up. "did you cook this yourself?" she asks, a smile playing around her lips. hanamichi nods.

she beams even wider, her smile as bright as the sun, warm enough to melt even the coldest of hearts. "thank you," she says, and she stands on her tiptoes and gives hanamichi a soft peck on the cheek.

streamers and confetti and the loud, celebratory noise of a party popper erupts from the end of the corridor ; matsui and fijii’s jaws dropped.

hanamichi is shocked. he touches the spot where haruko’s lips met his cheek and opens his mouth to say something, but before he could, the sakuragi squad jumps up from behind him, laughing and patting him on the back.

"congratulations, hanamichi !" "so our all-nighter didn't go to waste !" "hey hey, haruko, didn't you know he almost burned the kitchen last night-"

"SHUT UP !" hanamichi manages to shout, and he gives his four friends a strong headbutt. haruko laughs ; she always did love their weird little antics.

"d-do you like it?" hanamichi asks, his demeanor so different from how he was acting just a second earlier. haruko shrugs. "not sure, want to eat lunch with me and know how it tastes?"

sakuragi squad jumps straight up, shouting at hanamichi to go with her amidst laughter. matsui and fijii gasps out loud and giggles.

 "alright, then," he says, blushing intensely as she slips her arm around his. he looks back at his friends as the two of them walk, and sends a dashing grin and a thumbs up.
