Lucy Gray won but she got killed by the end. Lenore Dove revolted but she got killed by the end. Thrash, Cinna, Rue…. Every person that they don’t mind casting as BIPOC fucking dies.

Meanwhile they still refuse to cast the characters that are POC and fucking LIVE AND BE HAPPY as POC. Even though they are POC in the book.

They could ret-con, they could figure something out, but they refuse. In doing so, it kind of starts to turn the movies into white savior shit imo. This is why we have people thinking that Suzanne Collins is MAGA. Lionsgate I hate you. (Actors I don’t hate you, it’s not your fault, you’re lovely, I love you. I hate the casting directors.)

“Those people lack media literacy skills” yes they do! Many people in America do! Lack of education is a huge problem in America! So maybe they should keep that in mind while making the movies.

Casting directors for The Hunger Games and casting directors for Lord of The Rings, I will always hate you for refusing to believe any of the heroes that live are BIPOC ❤️

Just Announced: New Cozy Lord of the Rings Game Coming in 2024!

There will be a new Lord of the Rings game coming next year! As of right now we just have a teaser trailer & this from the developers:

"Your cosy Hobbit life awaits in Tales of the Shire, a heart-warming, new, The Lord of the Rings™ game due out in 2024 on console and PC."

It's being worked on by Private Division & Wētā Workshop.

Elanor peered over Sam’s shoulder at the creek, rushing with the vigor of midsummer storms, and asked dubiously, “Can we cross it?”

“I daresay we'll have to,” Sam said, wishing he had kept a closer eye on the path as Elanor had led him tromping through the blackberry thickets; Rosie was right, he was as soft as a patter-headed youth when it came to Elanor.

“It’ll be like crossing the Celebrant!” Elanor exclaimed, pinching his shoulders in excitement; the basket of blackberries she held knocked against his arm, and several tumbled out into the thickets. “But without the rope,” she added sadly; the crossing of the Celebrant was her current favorite part of Sam’s stories (if asked in a week, she would be certain to have a different favorite, though the Elves always featured in her favorites).

“Walking like a spider once was more than enough for your old dad!" Sam said, leaning down to tug up his trousers as Elanor clung tighter to his shoulders and the blackberry basket dangled precariously. "Little hobbit-lasses might be able to scurry like spiders over webs, but this hobbit prefers his two feet safe on the ground.”

So , I really wanted to answer question 1 to @meldrawz7 question game. Which is "Who is lamb's favorite follower?" Just thought of this funny little comic and it took a little bit for me to do a quick doodle of it.

Sam is teasing Lambert. They will laugh about it later and Poppy will joke they are really the favorite.

Recent films seem to have trouble lighting scenes that take place at night or in unlit locations such as caves or basements. This can be a real problem for viewers trying to figure out what’s going on!

Peter Jackson and Andrew Lesnie solved that problem years ago for Lord of the rings! I wish more movie makers would pay attention!

“Well, hullo there, Ms. Konartiste, and thank you kindly for your patience. I’ve had a good bit more correspondence for my birthday than I bargained for, you see.”

First of all, what's your morning routine like?

“Well, each morning I wake up to the smell of bacon, which Rosie knows how to cook very well, and she usually has the breakfast started before anyone in the house is stirrin’, lor’ bless her. And then, I splash some water on my face, my head, and the back of my neck to freshen up, and then I get dressed and have breakfast with Rosie and the little ones, and we all talk about our plans for the day and what we’re all lookin’ forward to and what might be worryin’ us, if you understand me. We all have our various tasks now, me with my mayorin’ duties in Michel Delving, and Rosie running the house, and the little ones learnin’ to read and write and goin’ to Mr. Frodo’s nearly every day for that — though I suspect they go as much to see their cousins and listen to Mr. Frodo’s tales, which he tells so much better than I. But the morning and the evening are the times that we always have together, and we try to make the most out of that time.”

Secondly, what is your favourite memory regarding the old Party Tree?

Sam blushes a little.  “Well, I wager that there are a few that I have a few in the reckonin’; we’ve had so many parties there over the years that it’s hard to come up with just the one. But the night of Mr. Bilbo’s 111st birthday was certainly a deal of fun, even before the to-do with him disappearin’ into thin air with the Ring, if you understand me. There was Rosie dancin’, and Mr. Frodo too — I remember he had the funniest dance that he made up, where he was leapin’ around like a frog, and the ladies were all watchin’ him and clappin’ along, for he’s a jolly good dancer, is Mr. Frodo. And then he ceased to dance and all but pushed me into Rosie’s arms, because I was too shy to ask her to dance myself, you see. I s’ppose it runs in the family — Mari was bein’ a wallflower at that party too, and all of us Gamgees have two left feet if I’m bein’ honest. "But my other favorite memory, which I cannot leave out, was my sister Mari and Frodo’s weddin’. They played the same trick as Mr. Bilbo did all those years before, seemin’ to disappear into thin air after their dance — except they didn’t really, because there was no Ring, only Merry and Pippin makin’ a deal of smoke so that nobody could see them as they slipped away. And then afterwards there was such a to-do, and I remember standin’ on the table, and shoutin’ for everyone not to lose their wits…” He chuckles, trailing off, a confidential sparkle in his eye that suggests there was more to the memories than he lets on, but if you squint, it is no more than fond reminiscence. 

Third, did Bill the Pony have his own stable at your house or did he live with the other ponies?

“Ah, well, we don’t have a stable at our home in Hobbiton, no. The hobbit-holes are too close together here in town, so instead old Bill lives at the Cotton farm with Rosie’s kin, where we visit him every chance we get, and I tell you, Tom and Jolly and Nibs treat him better than any of the King’s horses in Rohan. He eats all the oats he wants, day or night, and he goes about in a paddock with the other ponies, chewing on clover, and the only work he ever does anymore was when Ellie and Frodo-lad want to ride him.”

Fourth, what is your favorite thing about Frodo?

“Oh, hmm, well…” Sam falters a bit, and his lips spread into a smile as he looks up, fiddling with the buttons of his jacket. “I suppose that is a hard question, for there is nothing I don’t like about Mr. Frodo, and to pick just one thing that I like the best… Hmm…. Well, if I had to pick,” — he chuckles — “I would say he is a first rate dancer. Like I said, you should’ve seen his leap-frog dance at Mr. Bilbo’s 111st birthday.”

“Oh, I am very sorry to hear that, and it's no trouble, really. But if you pardon me, what are anti-histamines? Is that an herb you have in your world that we don’t have in Middle-earth?”

Ooh. I have one that is 👁️🔥➡️🧑🏻😬. Which made me laugh to type. 😂 It's about Sauron’s soul fleeing into Frodo’s body after the destruction of the Ring, making for many misadventures as Frodo and Sauron inhabit the same body. Redemption arc for the Dark Lord? Maybe! Pissed-off Samwise Gamgee? Definitely.

🦴 Is there a piece of media that inspires your writing?

Aside from Tolkien's works (of course), my love for writing speculative fiction became inevitable once I started reading sci-fi that explores culture clashes and power dynamics, like The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin and Dune by Frank Herbert, as well as hard sci-fi with a humanistic bent like The Three-Body series by Liu Cixin.

Little opinion but Sean Astin as Samwise Gamgee in LOTR looks exactly how I pictured Peeta Mellark -and- Rachel Zegler in TBOSAS is how I pictured Katniss
