Characters-Ned, Benjen (Mention), Catelyn, Jon, Robb, Rickon, Bran, Sansa, Arya 

Catelyn held her breath when the rumors reached her ears. Her husband once again brought a child to Winterfell. Her mind goes to Jon. She would not be able to stand having another bastard living under the same roof. To her relief, Ned brought the small child in so that he found her all alone, possibly abandoned and couldn’t leave her there, seeing that she won’t survive on her own. 

That being said, Catelyn found herself growing fond of you. She could not let you go, and it warmed her heart to see you smile. She would dismiss many of her duties just to spend all the time with you. Ensuring you were well fed and dressed, handing you to the septa to start teaching you how to read and write. It wasn’t long before Cat started to refer to you as her own. 

It certainly was a surprise to Ned. He simply wanted to provide you a haven in Winterfell, not knowing it would be his own castle. Ned voiced to Cat how she shouldn’t be so attached to you. Your biological parents may be somewhere for all they know. It also bothered him how Cat would imply that you were their child, yet Ned finds himself a hypocrite when he grows attached to you as well. 

Ned was fond of daughters and that was seen in you too. He couldn’t help the swelling of his heart. Ned loved to have you on his side, giving you a small smile whenever you would look up at him. Also, starting to have some of his trusted guards follow you around in fear for your safety. When you once accidentally referred to him as ‘father’ Ned knew there was no going back, finally seeing you as his own. 

Robb quickly grew fond of you. He already accepted Jon as his brother and with you it’s no different. More so with how close in age you both are. As your big brother, he found it his duty to protect you. Getting into fights with any boy who messes or flirts with you. Robb also loves to tease you, but as said, will let no one else do so. 

Sansa looks up to you as her older sister. She craves your attention and approval, showing you the clothes she sewed or the songs she learned. A huge smile on her face when you praise her. Sansa constantly makes excuses for you to spend more time with her. Such as her purposely messing her hair for you to brush it for her. 

Arya also wants your attention. She can be quite demanding, much more forward than the rest of her family. Pulling you by the hand to follow her. Arya has a habit of running to you and leaping into your arms. Out of everyone, she listens to you the most. Similar to Sansa, she shows you some of the moves she ‘learned’ or guides you to the places she found. 

Bran can get quite sneaky in getting your attention. There is him obviously wanting to show you his climbing skills. Watching him as you remain on the ground, reminding him to be careful. More than once, he sneaked into your chambers through your window and you scold him every time. Bran likes when you would read him stories or ruffle his hair. 

Rickon is perhaps the clingiest and needy out of all the children. As the baby of the family, he expects to receive your most affection and attention. He does get easily upset when he must separate from you. Rickon loves to follow you around the castle, his hands clutched to your dress. 

Lastly comes Jon. At first, he envied you. Watching Cat accept you in the family and treat you as her own. But Jon eventually began to become fond of you. As you are nice to him, treating him like he was a part of the family, like he was your brother. He becomes protective of you and eager to do whatever you ask of him just to please you. 

Jon also notices how Cat is starting to be a little nicer to him. Realizing she’s only doing it with you around. As you hate seeing Jon being treated badly. Jon soon finds in a lot of feasts and events that normally he wouldn’t be allowed to attend to with his legitimacy and all. If anything, this act of kindness drew Jon closer to you against Cat’s wishes. 

You are doted upon by your parents. Whatever books or furs you wish for are gifted with not much hesitance. The servants are instructed to fulfill every one of your whims and desires. You also have your siblings who will gladly do whatever you ask them to do and silently compete with one another in which gift you will love the most. 

The most who compete with one another are Sansa and Arya. Either one comes to complain about the other. Such as when Sansa whines that Arya pranked her to which then Arya argues that Sansa laughed at her with friends. You are stuck in the middle, where either sister forces you to choose a side. 

Robb and Jon follow right after, but the two are more subtle and can find a middle ground. With Jon, there has to be a lot of reassurance that you don’t care for Robb more as he feels that doesn’t deserve you. Rickon and Bran also compete with each other, which is solved by each clinging to your either side.

As mentioned Ned and Cat spoil you, which makes it hard for you to get in trouble. Ned tries to be stern, but your tears make him feel as if his heart will shatter into a million pieces. Cat doesn’t even try. In her eyes, you always be her little baby no matter how grown and that you could do no wrong. 

The whole family is fiercely protective of you. Panic spreads through the family if you ever get hurt or someone makes you cry to which the Starks will reveal their claws to whoever did this. Even a small cut on your finger is enough to have Cat and Sansa tend to it as it’s a life-threatening injury. Ned is basically the only voice of reason, but even he is deeply upset by this.

Any topic of any possible betrothals is shut down. As much as Ned is fiercely protective of you, he could allow you to marry someone who will be kind and treat you with gentleness. But the worry lies with the rest of his family. Cat, Arya, Robb, and Jon hold you close. They don’t trust anyone to treat you the way you deserve to be treated. Sansa, Rickon, and Bran are terrified of the person taking you away from them. 

Benjen when he comes to visit Winterfell is happy to see you. He tries to gift you anything that he finds during his travels. When you were younger, he loved throwing you up high to the worry of Ned and Cat. Even now, there is a playfulness to him, loving to hear the sound of your laughter. 

When the family stumbled upon the direwolves. They were all so excited to show them to you. The direwolves similar to their owners have grown attached to you. If they were not following any of the Starks' children, they were found with you. It made Cat a little nervous, but Ned assures that it was a good sign. Shaggydog and Ghost are the most clingy, their noses pressed to yours as they demand you to pet them. 

The Starks are some of the most loving families. Each one of them cares for you deeply. In how they make sure you are the most comfortable and happy. In how they will shield you from whatever may come. In never making you forget how much you mean to them.

say more asoif/succession AU HCs

this au is so insanely funny to me because like. so little would fundamentally have to change for the au to work! if you added ice zombies in the arctic to succession, it would become asoiaf. if you transplanted the characters in king’s landing from a medieval empire to modern-day corporate america, it would be succession. a snake eating its own tail, narratively.

ANYWAY here are the stark kids in the asoiaf/succession au. they’re not the main characters of the au because it needs the protags to be fundamentally bad people with bad intentions and sympathetic motivations. the starks are well-meaning rich people! that still gets dicey! but only the lannisters can encapsulate the raw fail energy and nauseating privilege of the roy kids.

robb: set to inherit the starks’ company, which is owned by king’s landing inc, a massive media conglomerate akin to disney. instead of going to war, he goes to soooo many board meetings. realistically he probably needs to be like 27 for the au to work (just graduated with his mba, idealistic and fresh-faced,) but it would be so funny if he was still 14 years old.

jon: joins the military to prove himself to ned and forge his own identity. is sent to northern iceland. finds ice zombies. gets disillusioned about the military and forms his own coalition against the ice zombies. he still has terminal main character disease. he just wants to count how many MREs and flare guns they have left.

sansa: i think sansa had all these dreams of girlbossing her way to the top as a humanitarian, forward-thinking High Society Figure. running a lot of charity orgs, being on nonprofit board. but she still has the mindset and judgments of the 1%, and it’s not until she works as an intern in King’s Landing Inc that her world expands. then her dad gets murdered. now she’s going to girlboss her way into a better future for everyone, whether everyone’s ready or not.

arya: she’s like if one of the roy kids genuinely wanted to destroy the roy family (the Roy Family being king’s landing inc.) she works covertly—she can put on the right costumes for a king’s landing ball, but she’s also exposing cersei’s embezzlement scheme. she’s pulling an ocean’s eight with gendry (working as waitstaff) and hot pie (hacking offsite from arya’s kitchen.) she also has some Nepo Baby Disease and isn’t always as self aware as she wants to be. cue character arc!

bran: his story also remains the same. jaime pushes him out of a window after witnessing him and cersei. years later, he goes to college and realizes the weirwood network still exists. has to hide out in arya’s apartment when the lannisters try to have him killed for that bc a magical tree spy network would drive stock prices down.

rickon: sells ecstasy to his classmates’ parents at his private high school

Sansa Stark Beauty Routine HC (modern au)

My first thought was : Sansa is a no-makeup makeup, skin care is everything, facemasks twice a week kind of girl.

I can see her spending an ungodly amount of money in that business yes yes. She has a mini fridge in which she keeps her products. She has way more than she needs obviously. So many, she doesn't notice when her siblings borrow from her endless collection. Consumerist queen, borderline annoying but too satisfying to be ridiculous. Yes she is that girl.

I kind of assume Sansa started doing skincare and makeup imitating her mother. So, even though she's young, her routine includes anti aging products she doesn't really need but uses out of habits.

I'm guessing that Sansa's main keywords for her look, are natural, fresh and glowy.

She wants to emphasize the glow of her skin, and even out the slight hyperpigmentation she can have due to the weather, and above all, she's looking for hydratation, because of the northern cold. I can see her using a lot of korean skincare in her everyday routine, for their simplicity and their efficacity, along side products she pick from Catelyn's routine.

Here's what this kind of makeup can look like on a redhead (my inspo pics)

So there's a routine mixing korean and danish (the north you get me) skincare products, and western makeup brands.

Glowing Essence

Vitamine C barrier booster lotion

Hydrating and glow serum

Brightening gel creme

Repulping lipbalm

As for makeup, still, I'm guessing the goal is to be glowy, luminous, natural (but not as natural as not putting anything on).

Additionally, I'm thinking Sansa is sensible to the marketing and the packaging of a product. It has to be pretty, it has to be popular. I think she puts a lot of care in the appearance of her skin, because she aims for a natural but flawless finish.

So I'm proposing :

a glowy serum makeup base

a skin tint serum with spf

a more full coverage concealer for eventual spots

an under eye brightener

So, nothing completely full coverage or mat, everything on the sheer, glowy, hydrating side of things. Next, for setting this and putting some color on :

Here we have :

a korean pressed setting powder (extract of peach which I think Sansa would find excessively cute)

a pink tinted moisture stick on the cheeks and on the nose

a bronzy highlighter im guessing she would use as a bronzer

a highlighter stick

So here, I'd comment she would set under her eyes and around her nose to avoid creasing, but since I think her skin would have a more dry tendancy, I don't think she would powder everywhere. So, a very natural and glowy blush she would use almost everyday with nothing else one.

When it's summer and she feels fancy, she uses bronze highlighting drops, that plays like a bronzer on her skin.

When she goes for a colder look, she uses an almost white, sheer highlighter, with almost holo reflects, which on a pale skin, can look very inner glow.

For the rest of her face, I think she would focus on the lips and her eyebrows : I'm guessing she has pale brown, maybe blonde eyebrows and wants to emphasize them. And her lips because I think she would want to balance the top of her face, with very blue eyes and structured eyebrows, with pink and glossy lips.

As for her eyes, I don't think she would do too much here. Probably a brown mascara for everyday, maybe a smudged brown khol liner or black mascara when she's feeling brave, or some cold very light blue glitter, when she's feeling cute.

She would probably try herself to some more artsy vibes, with white liners and shimmers when she gets a little bit older and experienced. Ultimately, she uses makeup to improve her looks, to make her feel more confident in her own features.

HC that some lords or whatever visit Winterfell for the first time since the Starklings have been ruling there. They've all heard a great deal about every single one of them, how they are legends who battled the dead and lived to tell it, how they took back their father and brother's kingdom, how they faced the wars in the South and gained independence, how they are fearsome skinchangers, and above all how they would defend each other fiercely, until the last breath. How there is magic in Winterfell once more.

So they are extremely shocked to find the White Wolf and his She-wolf little sister with swords in the courtyard, the fight looking a lot more intense than a training exercise, both swearing loudly at the other until they come to a halt.

"Enough!" yells Arya Underfoot, her famous Needle pointing at the shape of her brother. "Confess, heathen!"

"Fine, I did it" says the Bastard of the Wall, apparently not afraid of facing his fate.

"No, you didn't " comes a voice from the ramparts, and to their surprise it is the Red Wolf herself speaking, she who can see through the eyes of the eagles. She is half-laying against a column, her Tully hair shining in the sunlight as bright as the songs claim it does. "Arya did."

"Blasphemy! Have I not beaten him in the very first round? The gods guided my hand!"

"He beat you in the second-"

"The gods guided my hand first!" Arya the Fearless proclaims, ignoring her sister, and if the lords didn't know better they'd say everyone in that courtyard is trying their very hardest to hold back their laughter, but the Lord Commander and his sister look deadly serious. Would brother and sister, both well renowned for their protectiveness of one another, unseath steel to settle a mere quarrel? The Water Dancer raises her sword to point ar her brother once again. "Do you still refuse to accept the truth of your crime?"

The Lord Commander meets her gaze with a glower of the same intensity. "I don't. I did it."

"No, you didn't, Arya did" the Mockingjay's Bane repeats from up above. Arya the Featherfeet throws her hands up in the air. "Unbelievable! Justice is staring you in the eye and you are still too blind to see it. Very well, then. If the gods guiding my hand-"

"And Jon's. In the second round."

"-IF THE GODS GUIDING MY HAND FIRST IS NOT ENOUGH" she insists, "then we must settle this the old way. Let the gods guide the hand of every last warrior who chooses to follow me."

A silence spreads through the yard. "Careful, little sister" He Who Came Back From The Lands Of The Dead says. "Do not start something you can't finish."

"Oh, fear not. I'll finish it alright."

The lords look around themselves and watch men and women eyeing each other, forming small groups, and with a shiver they realise they're picking sides.

"You should hide somewhere" a kitchen boy whispers behind them, and they are about to do so when they see coin changing hands. "They're betting?" One of the lords demands, outraged. The kitchen boy merely shrugs. "Might as well, m'lord. It happens at least once a moon."

Once a moon?!? The lords exchange shocked glances. They haven't heard of such infight in the very heart of the North. In fact, they've been repeatedly informed of the fondness with which Ned Stark's children treat one another. How are they only hearing of this now?

"Alright. If this is your wish, then you shall have it" says the Ghost Commander, a wolfish grin settling on his features that his sister quickly matches with one of her own.

"A piece of advice, m'lord" says the boy. "You should choose a side right now, m'lord, or hide. And, under any circumstance, don't. Trust. Anyone. People here change cloak each time it happens. You can never know who to trust, not really."

The lords can't believe what they're seeing, but they stand their ground all the same. Who must they choose?

"To the death" says Arya.

"To the death" her brother agrees, shaking her hand shortly. The lords have still been unable to decide when a giant mountain of snow lands from the rooftop, right where Lord Snow was standing. "BRAN!" Sansa screams, looking up from the edge of the railing, and a red head appears on the periphery of the roof, followed by a grinning face. "In the name of all that is good, how did you get up there?"

"I had help" says the man who can only be Bran Stark, the Winged Wolf, gesturing behind him. Another red head appears, this one belonging to a smaller lad that can only be Rickon the Wild, and another head still, this one filled with small braids that remind the lords of the way Ironmen like to keep their hair away from their face during battle.

The Red Wolf doesn't seem fazed. "Rickon, Theon, pull Bran down from the ceiling or I swear-" but then Rickon throws a snowball over the edge, and it lands right in his sister's face. The lords stare in horror as the Lady of Winterfell wipes away the wet water on her face, and then serenely says "very well" as a terrifying smile lightens her face. "TO THE DEATH!" She screams at the top of her lungs. And then all hell breaks loose.

Arya has used the distraction to get as far away from Jon as she can, her sword now sheathed at her hip, and gather as much snow as she possibly can in her small hands. She doesn't get to finish her task. A snow-soaked Jon appears behind her and shoves a handfull of snow under the collar of the back of her tunic, making her wriggle as she tries to get away, her laughter ringing in the courtyard. Every man and woman around them has left what they were doing to eagerly throw snow at each other, some betraying their team as soon as they have the chance. Lady Sansa is using a barrel to propel herself onto the roof, while in the other side of the walkway Greyjoy and the youngest Stark are trying to pull Bran down to escape from his sister's wrath, but laughter seems to be taking away all of their strength. A one-handed man with a familiar face races across the yard, closely followed by a tall, armoured woman with short blonde hair and a massive amount of snow in her hands that looks like she is having the time of her life. A redheaded giant throws an enormous proyectile at Jon, who is now trying to evade his and Arya's snowballs.

This is ridiculous, one of the lords thinks, just as a snowball hits his back. He turns around furiously, only to find his wife waiting, a devilish smile dancing on her lips, and his resolve crumbles. They are right, he thinks as he grabs snow from the ground and sprints to catch her. They pass the legendary Starks on their way, now all battling each other in the grounds of the yard, and hear the breathless laughter of the Red Wolf as she tries to squirm from her sister's tickling hands. "FINE, I DID IT!" Sansa yells, tears in the corners of her eyes and a wide smile across her face. "I ATE THE LAST LEMONCAKE! I REGRET NOTHING!"

The lord doesn't slow his pace to witness the repercussions of her confession. They are right, he thinks again as he chases after his wife. There is magic in Winterfell once more.

hiya! i just wanted to say that the way you write ramsay is fantastic!! if you're up for it, would you mind writing hcs for how he'd treat a stark!reader in a similar position as sansa (that he's attracted to)? thank you!

so ... I feel like this would have to work in a very specific way? Just stay with me here for a sec, I had some thoughts.

Reader would be the oldest Stark, or at least Robb’s fraternal twin. She’d be Catlyn’s unspoken favorite, and quite the lady of the house. Sansa would absolutely idolize her. She’d get along well with Robb and Jon (and Theon!), Aray would love her but would hate being compared to her (making for some complicated feelings), and Bran and Rickon would alternate between being bratty little brothers and asking her for stories. Typical cute sibling stuff.

The issue of matrimony always hung over. Catlyn was very serious about arranging a proper match, but thus far no one met her high standards. Ned wasn’t pleased about marrying her off, of course. I feel like if she looked like Lyanna, it’d be even harder. He knows it’s a woman’s duty and all that but... He wasn’t even happy to marry Sansa to a prince (Joffrey’s awful attitude notwithstanding). He doesn’t want his girls to grow up :(

So Arya and Sansa go to King’s Landing while R stays behind to help attend to Winterfell and wait for her mother to make a match (ugh). The year passes. The terrible news comes. The war comes. And she has to make a choice. She marches with Robb, either to be his strategist or fight alongside him. 

So here she is, stressing about her brother. About her sisters. Then the terrible news comes: Theon’s betrayed them. The Theon she grew up with as much as Robb, and he’s done something terrible. Unspeakable. She could have been there. She could have held Winterfell, could have been there with Bran and Rickon, but she insisted on staying at the front lines with Robb...

That would just destroy her as much as it did Catlyn and Robb. The pack is getting smaller.

The wedding plans for Robb and later Edmure are just a haze. There’s talks about her marrying a Frey, and that’s when she finally has the energy to speak out. It’s so hard to have energy and hope these days. It’s so hard to keep going. 

The Red Wedding comes. She’s captured, but not before her wolf rips open at least a dozen men. She and it huddle together, refusing to be separated, because the pack has gotten smaller. Roose decides to take the both of them as prisoners guests of the Dreadfort. 

He tells her about a ‘deal’ that would be worth her consideration. He has a son in need of a wife, and the Dreadfort needs an heir. Perhaps, if she’s agreeable, her children might have Winterfell back.

Now, there are Northern houses that still quietly, secretly, wish for the Starks to return. There’s her half-brother at the edge of the world. There’s Arya and Sansa - somewhere, Gods help them - she could make this work. She could wait it out. She could plan ...

It’d be easier if Roose Bolton’s bastard wasn’t so attached to her. And I mean attached. I think right away, Ramsay would have something of a complex about a Stark reader. She’s highborn, the eldest of Eddard Stark, a lady through and through. While Sansa was a hostage with a ruined reputation and Jeyne was in disguise, this would appear to the North as the most legitimate, especially if Reader was already establishing herself as a leader during the war.

So he feels inferior right away. Roose already does a good job of making him feel that. So perhaps, when they first meet, and their first month together, he comes on... very strong. 

Notably, her direwolf is a source of protection. It can’t stand Ramsay, his hounds and their strange smells. He knows better than to attack the beast, but it annoys him. Gets in his way. Keeps him from being as close as he wants to. And the way she coddles and hugs it - he’s jealous. He’s so jealous.

He alternates between playing at the attentive husband or angrily demanding attention, or trying to impress her with his many strange ‘hobbies’. He knows better than to threaten or mock her - the direwolf - but she also seems distant. Tired. Sad. She isn’t paying attention. She just tolerates whatever foolishness he’s doing, maybe only speaking up when he tries to hurt a servant or kill a guard. Maybe he’ll do that more often to get her to come running.

Any attention is good. Any attention. Even if it’s negative. He’s very needy, you understand. There wasn’t a lot of attention when he was younger. None of it was positive. When she calls off her wolf and lets him hold or touch or cling, he takes full advantage of it. 

I think a turning point would come in the form of Theon, oddly enough. Once she figures out it’s him, once she realizes what’s been done to him. He hoarsely whispers the truth: Bran and Rickon are far away. He couldn’t find them. He’s sorry. That’s when some light returns to her eyes.

Ramsay notices she lets him be closer, and she’s more indulgent, she spends more time. He assumes it’s because he’s finally “won” her over, he’s proven something. There’s no point in correcting this. Let him believe it.

This obsessive and excessive need for attention and desire wouldn’t be exclusive to a Stark!Reader, but it’d certainly be more pronounced. There’s never any taming him, but perhaps she’d be the best at reeling in control, especially when Roose fails or refuses to. At least keep him from angering the neighboring Houses, or the entire North. Maybe if she bides her time, plays her cards right, she can get out of here - she can take her family’s home back. ... ... Unless she’s begun to develop a reason to stay ...

For fave Brienne takes... I like that she’s essentially both the archetypal heroic knight and the archetypal romantic heroine all whilst being told that she could never be either. living for The Duality of Brienne

For least fave, honestly spoilt for choice. Anything that suggests her key role in this story is just to max out on honour and ascend as some glorified bodyguard, like that’s not exactly how she started out. anything that says she’s just gonna die when they meet LSH so Jaime can have a grief arc before navel-gazing back to KL or whatever. also a take I read the other day which was like ‘Brienne doesn’t really experience sexuality’ like... lord.

How do you think she'll deal with the Stoneheart/Jaime situation?

I have no idea how they get out of the LSH situation, possibly Brienne has a plan up her sleeve or possibly some external factor saves them... and I kind of lean towards the latter because they’re... genuinely in a bit of a fucking pickle!!! (resolve the pickle GRRM)

but either way I feel so sure she’s not even gonna try to defend herself to Jaime and he’s gonna have to find out some other way that Brienne meant to throw away her life for his. and listen I’m gonna be living for that shit

I think it’s a cool idea, we don’t really see Brienne interact with many women (besides Cat, who I feel she has a kind of pseudo-parental thing going on with), so it’s fun to speculate what those relationships might look like. I wouldn’t say I personally hc her as wlw, at this point in time anyway, I guess mostly just because I don’t have enough scenes to work with to really run with it? but I honestly love reading other people’s hcs

Ideal ending for her?

god this is such a boring answer but to tell the truth I am so rubbish at speculating endgame!! I can theorise about imminent events but as soon as anyone asks me what I want to happen two books from now I’m like idk :-| it’s just... too far away. I read other people’s theories and let them do the work for me

like basically I want her to be loved and fulfilled and living a life of her choosing and not just in service to X Stark. groundbreaking I know

Brienne dynamics you'd like to see? 

anyway despite me just being like ‘I don’t want Brienne just serving X Stark’ I do actually want to see her dynamic with Sansa! which is probably the obvious choice but for real, I want it. Sansa being a character who’s searching for true knights and finding one in Brienne, but also a kindred spirit in that they’re both such romantics and love the songs etc etc, and god I really want them to be able to talk about Cat together. the only person Sansa’s been able to talk to about her loss is like... fucking Littlefinger and I think meeting Brienne would be so cathartic for both of them, cos Brienne grieves Cat too.

but also the awkwardness of their meeting, with Brienne having been searching for her all this time and sort of vaguely imagining this innocent young girl based on what Cat’s told her, yet finding instead someone who’s really coming into her own and might not even accept Brienne’s help immediately, depending on how they meet I guess. much to think about 

Any headcanons about her mother?

okay I looooved the conversations that were happening around Mrs Tarth on knifeears’ blog, particularly about her lowkey having a bit of magic going on, like prophetic dreams and a strange relationship with storm gods. and like the idea of her seeing some future for Bri in her dreams (with magic swords etc) but passing away before Bri is old enough to hear it :(

also feel like maaaybe she and Selwyn were a love match? like I’m still not quite sure how a descendant of Dunk’s ended up in House Tarth. it’s possible it was a child of Dunk and a Targ, in which case not all that surprising, but the fact that his shield was just lying around in the armoury at Evenfall and Brienne had no idea whose it was makes me think that someone with a rather opaque background married into House Tarth and brought the shield along with them, and maybe that was Brienne’s mother. I dunno, if there are holes in this feel free to point them out I’m just thinking aloud again

Also, I have the same issue D:! I wanna watch so many anime's but it never turns out to happen.. I mainly recommend Jujutsu Kaisen, To Your Eternity, Haikyuu, Black Butler, The Promised Neverland, and Wonder Egg Priority. I'd say Attack on Titan too but yu said yu seen it already, hehe. I don't have a big list because I'll start something but never finish it, or I liked the anime but not as much as others (like the ones listed).

Jujutsu Kaisen is a serious anime with some sillyness thrown in. Its not caught up with the Manga right now tho. When I finished where the anime ended, I instantly went to the Manga because I was so interested.

To Your Eternity is also a serious anime with some sillyness thrown in. Its very emotional and I cried a whole lot. The main boy character is such a sweety!! The first episode had me in tears by the end of it but I loved it and it really made me wanna see more.

Haikyuu is a mainly cute and silly anime with some seriousness thrown in. It was one of my first anime's that I fully watched and I loved it. Its a volleyball club in school who's trying their hardest to become the greatest again and its just so sweet. I genuinely felt nervous at moments when they played some games against other schools but I loved it!

Black Butler is one of my favorite animes. Its a mainly serious one but its so nice and just omg. Ciel is so mature for his young age but he's so cool! Sebastian is every girls husband too. He's a satisfying character to watch when he's on screen.

The Promised Neverland is a 100/10 for me in Season One and then a 7.5/10 for me in Season Two. The Manga had some iffy moments but at least it was much better than Season Two. Norman is my favorite character in it along with Phil and I will protect them with my life. The anime is mainly serious and its so interesting. Season One had me in suspense for like 90% of it. Season Two would be a little confusing to a non-Manga person tho... Still recommended tho!

Wonder Egg Priority looks like such a bright and colorful anime until yu realize how serious it is.. Its depressing but it has such strong vibes that make you really feel for the characters. It does have Depression, Self Harm, and even Suicide in it so if you decide to watch, please be careful.

Crossover idea MCU/GoT

I was watching a Game of Thrones edit and this idea came in my mind. 

2012, when Loki attacked New York, he had Clint Barton (Hawkeye) under control. But not only that. Clint had a strong mind, so Loki took all his memories of his personal life, only leaving the ones full with violence and darkness. He doesn’t remember his family, his loyality to S.H.I.E.L.D., his friendship with Natasha. He thinks, that he’s a mercenary and just working for this Loki guy. And when his job is finished, his handler sends him away, through a portal. 

Now, Loki made some mistakes, especially with this archer. He talked to much about his plans, he can’t risk his victory and reign over earth. So, he stole many memories, happy memories of this mortal and send him to another world, another dimension. But he isn’t too cruel, he enchants the quiver, so the mortal has an infinite amout of arrows. He makes him faster and stronger than any human, like a super soldier and sends him away to a world full of knights, kings and other dumb mortals. His mortal will be the best of all. 

Clinton lands in the middle of snow and trees. He just sighes and makes his way through the forest, until he comes to a town. There he sees, that his clothes are not really usuall and he steals a cloak. Since he’s trained as a spy, a mercenary, he does his ‘magic’ and makes some money. He now knows, he’s in Westeros, in the North and wants to go to Dorne. He buys a horse and makes his way. Some years pass and he makes himself a name. The common folk calls him the Hawk, since he never misses and also has a tamed hawk as a pet. He even goes to the King, who is the biggest joke he ever saw, and asked for a house. House Barton, we never miss. Naturally a hawk and an arrow are his house sign. He goes to his castle, the Nest, which is in the north. That makes the Starks his ‘bosses’. Not that he really cares, they are honorable and good fighters. Soon Barton men are known to be the best archers in the whole world, but also woman become ‘Hawks’, as everybody calls them. Clinton takes his job as lord seriously, he is loved by his common folk and feared by many lords. He’s ruthless, but kind to innocents. He’s a hunter and always finds his prey. He makes money with training hawks, eagles and other birds, but also his bows and arrows. His weapons are the best in whole Westeros, even Essos. They are made with metal and cost a fortune for anyone who is not a part of the Barton household. He personally trains his archers, in many ways. Since he’s known to be a good, fair but also strict lord, many come to pledge loyality to him. Bc of this, his army grows, his ‘Hawks’ become more. He lives is peace, trains a elite group to be like him (mercenarys (only loyal to him)). Then he hears, that Lord Stark goes to Kingslanding and offers a place over night for the King and the Lords, to stop, before they leave the north. Naturally, they accept, since Ned wants to talk with him and Robert enjoyed his presence. The King’s and Lord Starks households are in awe with the nest, the caste, which grew in the past years. There are hawks, eagles and other birds of prey. Lord Clinton Barton welcomes them, as well some of his best fighters. Since he knows, that Robert is the biggest whore alive, he sent most of the woman away. While his guests eat, he observes them and finds out, that Lord Stark is worried. Before they march to Kingsman, he asks, if he could make Arya as his ward, since he sees great talent in her. Ned hestiates, but Robert just laughes and says he approves. So, Clinton takes Arya under his wing, teaches her everything he knows. She becomes his shadow, which many find amusing, they can see the stars in the girls eyes, whenever Clinton talks with her. 

Then the whole shit in Kingslanding happens, well, almost. Clinton has his birds (of prey (he definitly doesn’t call them his little birds, like Varys)). They save Ned Starks life, but there is war. Ned recovers in the Nest, while Clinton makes preparations to go to Winterfell. He sends many forces away, telling them, they need to hide in the common folk. He takes 1′000 archers with him, and leaves the elite group in charge of the nest. 

Ned Stark remains in Winterfell, while his son goes at war to rescue his sister. Clinton becomes one of his best advisors, many Lords don’t know him personally but are impressed. He keeps his eyes close to Roose Bolton and when he’s sure, that this man will betray the Starks, he kills him. Well, his eagle kills him, and blames Roose for this. His animals are loyal and would never hurt a friend, they remain peaceful, as long they are not bothered. And instead that Roose asks for help, he tried to hurt/hit/kill the animal. When Clinton is sure, that they don’t have spies anymore, he calls every archer, he sent away from the nest. Robb is baffled, when he suddenly has 5′000 soldiers more. They are all great swordfighters, but even better archers. With new strenght, they walz the Lannisters to the ground and defeat Tywin. Well, Clinton defeats him (his army) and takes him as hostage. 

Robb almost dies, but Clinton could save his life. He sents the young Lord home and leads the big army himself. At first, the lords start to protest, but then Robb himself says, that this is the best idea. Clinton is now always seen at the front, with his two eagle (Artemis and Apollo) and his three hawks (Ares, Mars and Tyr) He marches in only three months to Kingslanding, defeating every army and winning every battle. When he’s finally at the capital, he kills Joffrey, says that Tommen would be the better king than his mad brother and safes Sansa. He keeps some of his Hawks in Kingslanding, so he still has informations. He’s grinning the whole day (many are terrified, when they see his grin), when one of his Hawks told him, that she’s now the secret lover of Tommen Baratheon. 

He goes back to the north and starts his normal life again, bc of his glorious victory in the war, more people come and want to be trained by him. Slowly, his army becomes bigger than anyone’s, but he hides the number before everyone. His official number now is 10′000, but he has around 15′000. Since he saved a Stark’s life, twice, he’s now a true friend to the house. Everything is good, until he hears of Daenerys Targaryen, who is now the queen of Mereen. He takes some of his men/women (something like 100?) and makes his way to Essos. He sends some spies, gathers informations and is intrigued by this young woman. Clinton offers his alliance, at first Daenerys is very skeptical, but then she hears what people say about him. Clinton remains some weeks at Essos, starts to teach the young Queen and promises her, that he will fight for her. He isn’t a big fan of Baratheons and Lannisters, there is a reason why Targaryens are Kings and Queens. He leaves 10 Hawks with her, to protect but also train her. 

Then fast forward, Cersei kills Tommen, becomes Queen, bla bla. The Starks don’t care about the shit in Kingslanding. Ned makes Robb the Lord of Winterfell, since he fears his health. (someone tried to poison him (totally the Lannisters)) Then all the shit in the series happens, until Daenerys finally comes to Westeros. She immediatly has the support of the Starks, since Clinton spoke with them. (more manipulated, but eh- does he care? Daenerys is the best choice for the Iron Throne) Bc of this, the whole North follows now Daenerys. Clinton leaves Nest and goes to Dragonstone, with some hunderts archers. The two spend some time together, become rather close, until they are lovers. They don’t let anybody know for a long time. When the time came, and Daenerys wants to attack Cersei, Jon Snow visits with Robb Stark. They talk about the Army of Death and Clinton wants to bang his head against a wall. Of course something bad needed to happen. 

The whole fight with the Night King hapoens, Clinton is a proud dad™, when Arya kills him. Then they go at war with Cersei, totally win, bc one of Clinton birds who kills Cersei, while she fucks Jamie. Naturally everybody knows and is disgusted as fuck. Daenerys becomes the Queen, Clinton her Queen’s Consort. 

Happy ending? You wish. After 20 years he came to Westeros, he slowly starts to remember. He’s torn, he has a family on earth, but here too, he loves Laura and Daenerys, he’s an agent but also a Lord. How should he even go back? Well, either, he slowly becomes depressed, but hides it or the Avengers come to his rescue. I don’t know and I’m really torn, since Clinton loves Daenerys dearly as well his children in this world, but still Laura and his other family.

How do you imagine the Stark's and the Baratheon's to Arya and Gendry. Modern.

Since I accept everything @arsenicandfinelace says as canon (as we all should), this is my new head canon now.

Or how it was handled in hope will put the colours in the sky.

First things first, Gendry can not be, even in a modern au, anything but Arya's friend first. Even with their canon age difference. It's so inherent to their relationship that they meet and bond this way, not by Gendry being Jon's (or god forbid, Rob's) best friend first.

(I totally acknowledge that this is the most difficult thing to do in modern aus and that I do read and like fics where that is the case regardless)

Going off of show canon and fanon from reading a few hundreds fics about this.

The Starks

Ned: secretly thrilled that his daughter dates his best friend's son, especially because said son is a way better person than his father. For Cat's sake he has to put up a concerned facade and have a serious chat with Gendry in his office.

Cat: finds it downright scandalous. He's working class, he's five years older, he's bound to be just like his father. And let's not start with what happened to poor Lyanna and what if history repeats itself!

But she can't do much because of see link above.

Rob: sceptical because Gendry's older. Will watch him carefully.

Jon: Upon hearing that his little sister has a boyfriend and that this boyfriend is significantly older, needs some time to wrap his head around the news and goes to the wilderness beyond the wall to cope.

Sansa: depending on the stage in her and Arya's relationship, she's either Cat 2.0 or sees the love G&A have for each other and is happy for her sister and supports her. Maybe she helps Arya sneak out late to see him and gives her alibis and stuff. Takes her shopping when Arya wants to dress to impress.

Bran: totally cool with it. Always knew it was only a matter of time.

Rickon: half in love with Gendry himself because Gendry doesn't take shit from anyone and is just the coolest guy ever. Always trailing after him and looking up to him with big eyes.

The Baratheons:

Robert: gets a total kick out of it and lives his ideal life through Gendry, who actually got his Stark girl. Borderline voyeuristic because he high key wants to know all the details and gives unsolicited advice. Ew.

Stannis: Indifferent. Can frankly not understand why everyone makes a big deal of his nephew's relationship?

Renly: Hardcore stans Gendrya, because true love. Giddy for them and always gushing to Loras about them. Books them a weekend getaway to Lys (Cat doesn't like that at all).

Shireen: Like Renly, total cheerleader for Gendrya and lives vicariously through them and her romance novels until she finds love herself. Also, she totally saw it coming.

I'm ignoring Robert's bastards because my HC is that Gendry only meets them later in life, so they can't really say much about him and Arya.

Full disclosure: as I keep saying, I'm a bitch for angst, so tbh I kinda like characters who are dead in canon to be dead in modern aus too (I know I'm horrible 😭), so I don't have a clear vision of their reactions.

Since you're my fount of hope in these dark days, I would love to hear your speculation on Bran. Will he lose himself to become the 3ER? Or will he still be Bran? How would he be perceived by the Westerosi? Are they in awe of him? Or will they be suspicious of his abilities? Will Bran want to be king? Or just agrees to serve the people? Why would he choose Tyrion as hand? Or was that just fan service? You don't need to answer all of those, I'd just love any of your thoughts on his endgame!

Hello again @esther-dot .Thanks for your ask. I’m glad that you found some hope in my ramblings. When it comes to the fiction, I turn out to be an optimist I guess. And tbh I refuse to believe that the ending of Asioaf will be nihilistic so I’m trying to make sense with everything we got. 

To be fair... I’m not the best person to talk about Bran or his journey and arc. I love that sweet boy but I’m definitely not a Bran expert. But I’ll share my thoughts anyway.. :)

Maybe at first, a little. I always consider the journeys of Stark kids as parallels. Because even GRRM makes a point about those kids:

“The kids [Sansa, Arya, and Bran] are a huge part of the story, in many ways the central part of the story.’’ -GRRM

Sansa loses herself to be Alayne in Vale, Arya becomes No One slowly. But these are their masks that they have to put on to survive. These masks are their lessons and in the future these lessons will help them. But in the end we know that Sansa and Arya will return to their own selves. That’s why I believe that Bran will be Bran in the end. But this doesn’t mean that those masks will leave them for good. No. These masks will become parts of them but not entirely them. So I’m expecting a less robotic Bran with 3EC’s powers. But we still don’t know the basics of his powers very well. Maybe they will be less effective when he’ll end up in the South. 

- How would he be perceived by the Westerosi? Are they in awe of him? Or will they be suspicious of his abilities?

Asoiaf is a poitical fantasy series. Westeros is a political place. So I can’t imagine the people/lords of Westeros rooting for a leader with such abilities. Which lord would want a king who can see what’s happening in his castle? This is 1984 Westeros Edition, if you ask me... 

Yes we -as readers- might know that Bran is a good kid and he would never use his powers for evil etc. But why would the lords of Westeros put their faith in him? My only guess is that Bran will save Westeros from a great deal and people/lords of Westeros will cheer for him. But still Frodo saved Middle-Earth but they didn’t choose him as a King. Give Bran some medal and be done with it. 

The show made him a great candidate for a King because he can’t have kids so when he dies they will choose a new King. This is absurd. This will only cause more games between kingdoms, therefore more wars. Westeros suffered enough from these games and wars and what they need now is “stability”. They need to know who will come after Bran so they can sleep in peace at nights. 

So why Bran? 

- Will Bran want to be king? Or just agrees to serve the people? 

Bran is a little boy and he is a Stark. I can’t imagine him being thrilled with becoming a southern King. He will definitely agree to this to serve Westeros. I tried to explain why King Bran doesn’t make sense politically. The boy has no claim after all. Why him and not Podrick? My guess is: they will need Bran’s abilities. But a KING with such abilities sounds dystopic. Because Kings have powers over the states/kingdoms etc. BUT having a SYMBOLIC LEADER with such powers might not be bad. 

My head canon is: Bran will be a higher authority like United Nations. 

These kind of authorities can only exist as long as the countries show their consent and agreement. UN’s main purpose is keeping the peace between countries. This is how I imagine Bran’s reign will be. Bran will be a figure to keep the peace in Westeros after all those wars. Westeros won’t see him as another King but they will seek his guidance to keep the relations between kingdoms smooth. They will bring their disputes to him and he will serve them justice and solutions because he will know all the facts... But Bran himself will have no agenda. He will serve the 6 Kingdoms not the other way around. (Btw I kind of believe that there will no 6Kingdoms and with Bran’s guidance they will declare their own independence one by one, so Bran will guide them during this time of separation. Oh la la... let’s go back to the Westeros before the Targaryens :) ) 

I realize that my HC has flaws but still it is better than having a BIG BROTHER  WHO IS WATCHING YOU.

@butterflies-dragons wrote a lovely Jonsa meta about Jenny and Duncan. Duncan refuses the crown to be with his love. We can be sure of that Sansa will never want to come back to King’s Landing or leaving Winterfell again. So I’m imagining a Jon who refuses the crown and leaves it to his brother/cousin so he can be with her in the North. Also look at this:

The names are very interesting. (Aemon/Jon, Duncan/Jon, Brynden aka 3EC/Bran) There were some theories about Jon’s Targaryen name being Aemon too btw. But just not that. Jon’s own story is very similar to Aemon too. So in my HC Jon is Aemon and Duncan for the sake of Bran and Sansa. 

I’m not going to talk about Jonsa anymore in this HC because your ask was not about them. :) 

So I tried to come up with a way to make King Bran more logical. But still I’m not very satisfied and we desperately need the books for the Bran’s ending. 

- Why would he choose Tyrion as hand? Or was that just fan service? 

I DON’T KNOW!!! 

Hand Tyrion makes zeros sense and I’m going to lose my f*cking mind. I mean what makes Tyrion so special? Is he the only one who can manage to be Hand?? My only guess is that Tyrion will be very helpful against the Dragons and Dany. That’s it. 

I talked about my The Final Battle in Trident headcanon before. Maybe after the fall of King’s Landing Tyrion will offer his help to North in this final battle and he will be very helpful therefore he will be pardoned. He won’t be executed or exiled but he will be forgotten in time. His name will have no place in the history. And this will be his punishment. 

Tyrion is a main character and Grrm said that main characters’ ending won’t be very different. So I can’t call his ending fan service. But still the plot in the books will be very different. And Grrm loves that f*cker so I’m ready for that kind of a ending for Tyrion. I HATE EVERYTHING! 

Well... That’s all I can say about your questions. Like I said I’m still not sure about Bran and Tyrion’s arcs and endings. I’m totally not a Bran or Tyrion expert. So I hope my answer was not very stupid or disappointing.
