Reckless job, being an agent. How many times can Barnes handle picking up the phone, hoping it’s not another agent lost on the job?
All the scenes are from Lockwood and Co. on Netflix and the song is Lovely by Billie Eilish and Khalid.

🪐: here you go pookie <3 and thank you so much! i had a really fun time writing this
word count: 1.5k
⭒☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆⭒
The plane ride was tortuous, your leg bounced up and down uncontrollably waiting for your flight to end so you could finally see Tim.
You had been deployed for nearly two years, and it was hard. Your contract had finally ended, you neglected to tell Tim you had not re-signed it. You had contacted Wade and formed a plan with him to assure everything would go to plan and stay a surprise.
Tim was used to you not calling everyday knowing how busy you were so that was already taken care of, god how you missed Tim. The last several months you knew you were retiring, it was killing you to not share it with Tim but you wanted to be face to face with him, to see the surprise on his face, to be able to hug him tight and tell him you were never leaving again.
As soon as the plane landed you were on your feet reaching for your carry on, you were the first to unboard. Time felt as if it slowed, you looked around and saw families rushing for their flights, and people sitting around or nodding off waiting for their gates to be called. You had almost forgotten what a civilized society looked like, constantly being cooped up on base with people who wear the same clothes, walk, talk, and breathe the same way.
Your eyes became blurry, the image of everything you’ve missed suddenly hitting you. All of the quiet late night talks you didn't get to have, all of Tim’s milestones you weren't there to cheer him on for, nothing had paused when you left, and it was foolish for you to think they would but a small part of you hoped. Your heart ached but you continued your walk to baggage claim, impatiently waited for your bags to finally come into sight on the conveyor belt.
The car ride to the station had been long, although you were jetlagged, the excitement of finally seeing Tim was more than enough to keep your body awake. The moment you saw the station it felt like your heart had skipped a beat, the uber driver dropped you off at the main entrance and you walked in suitcases and duffle bags in hand.
“Hello! Can I help you?”  the sweet front dusk lady asked you with a big smile, “Yes, i'm here to see Sargent, Wade Grey.” you returned the welcoming smile. She made a call, presumably to Wade and then allowed you to head up to his office.
“(Y/n)!” Wade greeted as you stepped your heavy boots into his office, “It feels like I haven't seen you in forever!” he walked over and took your mountains of bags off your shoulders and hands before giving you a warm hug. “It has been forever, Sir” you stated, formalities still ingrained in your head “Oh come on, you don’t have to call me ‘Sir,’ just Wade (y/n)” he laughed, you shook your head with a laugh accompanying his.
Everyone welcomed you home with open arms, helping you with putting up banners and blowing up balloons, putting confetti everywhere, making the room very loud and obvious that something big was happening. Wade had made Tim go on a patrol run, making up some excuse that he needed Tim to check out an abandoned warehouse that was possibly housing drug addicts. Clearly that was a lie, Wade knew damn well no suspicious activity was going on at that warehouse but he knew it would give the precinct time to set up your welcome home party.
Tim was very annoyed when he realized there was nothing going on at the abandoned warehouse, it was actually quite clean. Tim sighed and radioed that everything was clear and he was making his way back to the station, on his drive back he had noticed it had been a good while since he heard from you and made a mental note to try and call you later after his shift.
The moment everyone heard Tim’s radio response stating he was coming back to the station, your nerves shot up, you had missed him so much it was killing you. It felt like your soul was constricting and struggling to wait for its other half to be connected to it again, as you waited, you noticed a few new people appear. They looked slightly confused at what exactly Wade had wanted when he radioed them to come back to the station for an important meeting, “Did we walk into the right building?” Nolan asked looking around comically, you had pointed him out immediately from the way he walked in.
Tim had told you about the rookies a couple of years ago when they first came in, Nolan, Lucy, and Jackson. He could not stand Nolan and was glad to not have him as his “boot,” while overseas Tim had called you abnormally early telling you about Jackson and although you had not met him, you heart broke for what he could’ve been. You wished you were home to comfort Tim, and you would’ve gone AWOL just to hug Tim if he hadn’t made you promise you'd stay on base.
Now, Lucy, you had felt bad for Lucy because you knew that she was going to fall victim to all the ‘Tim-Tests’ and have to put up with all of Tim’s stern glances and lack of sense of humor. Tim had talked about Lucy quite a few time’s on calls, he told you about what she had gone through and you knew she was going to be an exceptional cop with how brave she stayed during her time in captivity.
Following Nolan’s confusion was who you assumed was his rookie, you had not been told about her yet but she looked sweet and smiled when she saw you in uniform and the sign above your head that announced “im home.” The young rookie had hit the arm of the other rookie, who Tim had mentioned, Aaron Thorsen. You knew the name, and Tim had expressed his concern for Aaron joining the team.
“You must be the rookie’s Tim told me about!” you grinned widely, they all looked at you surprised and even slightly confused “im (y/n), Tim’s wife! Nice to finally meet you guys” you continued with quiet amusement as they were all left with mouths agape.
“Tim’s wife? The grump was able to get a wife?” the young rookie had asked, looking at you. A small laugh left your body, you knew he wasn’t a big angel at work but you never thought he was that bad to get nicknamed ‘the grump.”
All of them came up to you, introducing themselves and making small remarks at how different you were from Tim, you were sunshine compared to him. That’s what they said at least.
While you all were talking you heard the familiar voice you have waited so long to hear in person, “What happened? What are you guys all doing here?” Tim questioned fast, wondering why so many colors were blowing up in his face. “That’s no way to talk to your colleagues is it, honey.” your snarky remark nearly made him stop breathing, he looked at you, taking your form in. His eyes were wide and teary “(y/n)?” he croaked out, voice breaking. “Im home” you exclaimed with the same croak to your voice, as if time around you two stood still he ran towards you, sweeping you off your feet as he hugged you. “You’re home? I thought you weren’t getting home till next week? What changed?” He had a million questions and you could only answer him one at a time.
“Tim, Baby, I'm home for good. I didn’t re-sign.” you whispered softly, he looked at you like you had personally created the entire milky way right in front of him. “You’re home. Forever?” his knees almost buckled at the thought of being able to wake up next you everyday for the rest of your lives.
You nodded your head and hugged him tighter, he held you like you were the only woman to ever exist. He silently thanked whoever listened that you were home and safe in his arms.
Once you two were done having your moment, he introduced you to the new recruits, and Angela gave you a hug welcoming you home and telling you and Tim, you all had to go on a double date. You were still shocked she had married a lawyer and now had two children.
You sat there with Tim, taking in your environment and enjoying the loud laughter and stories on what Tim did for Lucy’s ‘Tim-Tests’, as you sat listening to the god awful stories, you were at peace, sitting around with the people who kept your husband up and safe while you were away.
You had never been happier and you were glad to be able to feel this with Tim right by your side.

Tumblr media
(Y/N) spun on her chair, waiting for the computer to make its move in the latest of a string of chess games. The Sergeant in charge of the detectives, Caradine had been drying her out when it came to cases, leaving her nothing but time. The computer moved its King to B7.
Rolling her eyes, (Y/N) debated moving her bishop only to be cut off by Grey approaching her desk, a small box neatly tucked under his arms.
“Are you really playing computer games right now?” He asked incredulously.
She quickly closed the tab. “No…?”
“Don’t you have a job to do? Or are you still left behind? Because if you are, I can speak to Sergeant Caradine, get him to ease up on you.”
“No. Thank you though,” She shook her head, turning in her chair to fully face Grey, “As much as I appreciate it, I don’t need special treatment. Especially right now. I need to earn Caradine’s trust again…. Not that I had much of it in the first place. But onto another subject, what brings you over? Super cool secret crime to fight?”
Wade laughed, placing the box down in front of (Y/N) “Not quite. This was dropped at the front desk for you. Smitty tried to open it, so I rescued it.”
“I didn’t order anything.”
(Y/N) carefully picked up the box, examining the outside for a return address. The only text was her details for the postage. No stamps, no indication of where it came from.
“Who dropped it off because clearly it didn’t go through USPS.” She stood up, taking a step back from the desk.
“Right,” Grey said, reaching for his radio. “I’m calling the bomb squad.”
“Don’t!-“ she cut him off before the order could be given. Instead, she moved for the second drawer in her desk, pulling out a pair of latex gloves. “You held it. It’s far too light to be any form of explosive. It felt almost empty.”
Grabbing the Swiss Army Knife from the pocket of her jacket, she flicked the blade open, slicing through the top layers of tape, leaving the flaps of the cardboard loose. Gently, she opened both at the same time and peered inside.
The box was empty save for a single photograph. It was a polaroid image of (Y/N) and Tim leaving their home for work yesterday morning. He held her hand, shielding her from the outside. She was almost invisible save from her hair flowing out from behind her.
Flipping it over, (Y/N) silently read the message inscribed in red ink. All my love, R.D.
“‘R.D.’ Regina Diaz. She’s trying to mess with me.” (Y/N) passed the photo over to Grey, “she also sent me the other photos using polaroid.”
“This was yesterday. Look, you’re wearing the same thing. Did you see anything when you left?” He asked, pacing the photo back into the box.
“No, Tim might have. I’ll call him now.”
Grey raised his hand, moving to take his radio out. “Don’t. You’ll only panic him.” He lifted the radio to speak into it. “Officer Bradford, it’s Sargent Grey, I need you to report back to the station A.S.A.P.”
The radio buzzed with static as Tim replied. “We’re about fifteen minutes out. What’s up?”
“Just need an opinion on something. Meet us in my office. Have Chen go to help on the front desk.”
As Grey spoke to Tim, (Y/N) gestured to her empty cup, signalling that she was going to get a coffee. She rolled her eyes once again as Grey nodded at her, knowing that he wanted one too.
----------
(Y/N) sipped on her coffee from her pink mug, closing her eyes to relish the taste. There was little she enjoyed more than coffee.
“You look like you’re about to propose to the cup there.” Grey said, looking at (Y/N) over his own mug.
“What happens between me and the contents of the mug is none of your business,” she smirked, resting the mug on Grey’s desk in front of her. “Besides, you look just as invested.”
Greg looked like he wanted to respond when he looked up at the sound of knocking on his office door and someone entering. “Bradford, come in. Take a seat.”
Tim complied, sitting down next to (Y/N), sending her an inquisitive look. He reached forward for her mug only to have his hand slapped away.
“What’s going on? Is everything okay?” Tim asked, looking back and forth between his wife and the watch commander.
“Did you see anything strange yesterday morning when you left the house?” Grey asked, picking up the Polaroid picture, passing it over to Tim to look at. “This was delivered to the front desk this morning. Smitty tried to open it.”
Tim rolled his eyes, “Of course he did. But I didn’t see anything. Any idea who sent it?”
“I’m having Lopez look at security footage now. But the back says it’s from an ‘R.D’.”
“Regina Diaz.”
“That’s what I thought,” (Y/N) said, reaching for her coffee again, “but I had a look at the other Polaroids. It only matches the handwriting of one of the pictures. The other is completely different.”
Tim placed his hand on (Y/N)’s thigh, squeezing it softly in reassurance. “So you think that this could be the other person, posing as Diaz?”
“It’s a possibility. But until we figure it out, I want you two to be careful. Who knows what’s waiting out there for you. But at least we know that there is a threat now, we have something to look out for.”
“So what now?” Tim asked.
“I’m going to make a few calls, update the case file with this development. See if I can figure anything out.” (Y/N) said, finished off her coffee, placing the empty cup back down on the desk. “Then go see where this photo was taken, see if any cameras could’ve picked up who took it.”
“I can do that. I’ll take Chen when she’s done with the footage.”
“Take her now,” Grey said, standing up to guide the two Bradfords out of his office. “I’ll have Lopez check the cameras. We can all report back here when we have something.”
(Y/N) nodded, moving out of the door, Tim hot on her heels. She weaved in and out of the officers to go back to her desk. Sitting down, she gestured for her husband to perch on top of the surface.
“I don’t think this is anything.” She broke the silence, watching Tim’s expression change to confusion at her words.
“How so? This is clearly a warning, if not a threat.”
(Y/N) hummed, leaning across to take one of Tim’s hands in hers, using the  moment to find the right words. “No. I think it was meant to throw us off our tracks. Have us chasing our tails. Psych us out, you know.”
“I know,” he said, getting down from the desk, before leaning over to give (Y/N) a quick kiss. “Just be careful anyway. I can’t let anything happen to you.”
“Okay. I promise, but only if you do.”
“You know me, Mogs, always careful.”
(Y/N) looked down before nodding, watching as her husband left to find his Rookie. Tim hadn’t called her ‘Mogs’ in years, he only did when he was worried, not that he would admit it.

~Boots are made for walking~ Burning Pages AU
Tumblr media
“Those aren’t very stealthy.” Soap pointed to the crimson combat boots adorning your feet. “quite the opposite actually…”
You shrugged, never looking up from your book as you licked your fingers to turn the page. “They work just fine when I wade through the pools of blood on the ground.” You look up for just a second, catching the change of comedic laughter to unbridled horror creep onto his face, “it scares the enemy when they see them. They think I’m soaked to the bone in their friend’s blood.”
You turn back to your book barely batting an eye as soap stares at you. He can swear you are able to hear his heart hammering in his chest. Just how fucked up were you?
Price saunters by, his hand flicking out to shove Soap’s lower jaw upwards, “keep your mouth shut Sargent, you’ll catch flies,” he chuckles softly as he leaves to do something more productive with his time.
Soap’s eyes catch Ghost’s from behind you, even though the mask Soap can tell Ghost is at least mildly impressed. But he only shrugged and went back to meticulously cleaning his gun. “Don’t follow the red boot prints Johnny.”
This may be something I work on later. I have lived these characters from the first original modern warfare and am excited to see them get some love. 💕♥️

Dude I got new characters for the dark time line and their from Desert Rangers of Lumière their like a 6 man squad and I have more lore about the Desert Rangers too.
1st we have:
Lucas Cooper, the squad leader
Rank: lieutenant
Aura color: Gold
Semblance: Dead Man's sight, when use time slows down and the world turns grey and seeing the weak spot of the target, this semblance can be use on groups( it's like dead eye in red dead redemption)
Bio: born in a ranching family in the sandy parts of Lumière he has a natural talent of shooting, at the age of 17 he joined the Desert Rangers, his leadership skills even rivals Jaune Arc's and also jaune's rival, his was assigned as leader of Team Bravo.
2nd we have:
Travis Walker, the Explosive expert
Rank: Sargent
Aura color: blue
semblance: not unlocked
Bio: as a son of owner of small mining company in a town called dusty creek he has this love for explosive and loud booms, at the age of 17 the chief of the desert rangers caught wind his skills and offered him a spot in the demolitions division, later on he was assigned to as their explosive expert.
3rd we have:
Trevor Walker, the Medic
Rank: Sargent
Aura color: light blue

4th we have
Wade Hayes, the Marksman
Rank: Sargent
Aura color: Silver
Semblance: Trailblazer's Touch, when used the user has control on the bullet and can see where it goes (like a predator missile from MW2 but it's a bullet).
Bio: As a of an hunter Wade was trained by his father at a very young age, he taught him how shoot a target 2 kilometres without a miss, at the age of 14 his father died by fight off bandits who raiding their homestead, he has no left he's mother died giving birth to him, his on his own, until the Desert Rangers took him in.
5th we have
Anna Johnson, the infiltrator
Rank: Sargent
Aura color: red
Semblance: ghostly tread, when used the user's footsteps are silents and turn them invisible.
Bio: as a singer at a canteen and a daughter of wealthy man a at a big town that is part of Lumière called Sunburnt Flats, she hates the life of fame and fortune, she and her may have disagreements here and there but she ran away and joined the Desert Rangers anyway, there she meet lucas she fell in love with him the moment she saw him but she keep it a secret maybe someday she can confess to him, but anyway let's talk about her love story in the future, her sneaking skills along with how good she is with a knife and a revolver she maybe the most badass woman in the Desert Rangers, she ask permission to Chief Taylor to be assigned to team Bravo, Chief Taylor was hesitant but he could see in girls eyes and he agreed, later on she was assigned to Team Bravo as their infiltrator.
And finally we have
Jenny Bell, the mechanic

Bio: she maybe the youngest of the squad but she mod and fix your weapons and vehicles, her father was a mechanic at the HQ of desert rangers and taught her everything related to fixing vehicles, the weapon modding thing was all her.
Lore about the Desert Rangers:
Their HQ is fort used by mantle forces during the great war, their HQ contains a command center, a underground holding cell, a garage, armory, a shooting range, training course and a med bay.
They maybe a different group of Rangers but they still answer to council.
Their rivalry with Ranger of Lumière, their rivalry is so bad they each other names like tree fuckers, sand rats, but their just two sides of the same coin, the other is just cowboy and the other is brooding edge lord.
GOD DAMN IT MAN DON'T YOU KNOW YOUR GETTING MY CREATIVE JUCIES FLOWING!? I ALREADY HAVE ENOUG STORIES AND YOUR MAKING WANT TO MAKE THIS THING A WHOLE ASS STORY!!!

I think I’m gonna talk about one of my favorite paintings at my workplace
Tumblr media
Mrs. Cecil Wade, John Singer Sargent, 1886
Sargent’s work has always been one of my favorites. I think he’s fantastic at capturing some visceral level of personality. This painting is Large. 66 x 54 1/4 inches unframed. And it is placed right across from the entry way to the gallery.
Seeing it for the first time is something of a shock. She’s practically life sized. The way she’s framed by the dark room makes her pop out from the piece, not to mention her satin-y gown’s almost glow.
Here’s a reference for how large the piece is:
Tumblr media
(Frankly, the picture doesn’t do it justice. She’s obviously not gigantic, especially for a painting, but in person she might as well be)
This is all to say. She is perhaps reported to be the most haunted painting in the galleries. I don’t necessarily mean as in her ghost is here (although I have had coworkers swear by it). I mean that she spooks nearly anyone who is off guard. If you’re on night watch in the museum, her ethereal gown practically leaping from the dark shadows can be mistaken for quite the spook as you pass by the large doorway. It’s impossible not to notice it out of the corner of your eye.
And in my opinion this has to do with Sargent’s command of expression, technique, and emotion. She is such a large and commanding presence, her frame practically popping out of the picture, that it’s almost like you’re encountering her yourself. I’ve been scared by her myself once or twice. Multiple people have reported to have seen her ghost in the halls. But I don’t think her spirit is there in the traditional sense. I think Sargent was just that good.

LETTERS FROM AN AMERICAN
November 8, 2023
HEATHER COX RICHARDSON
NOV 9, 2023
Yesterday was a bad day for extremism in the United States of America.
In Ohio, voters enshrined the right to abortion in the state constitution; in Kentucky, voters reelected Governor Andy Beshear, a Democrat, for another four-year term; in Pennsylvania, voters put Democrat Daniel McCaffery, who positioned himself as a defender of abortion rights, on the state supreme court; in Rhode Island, Gabe Amo, a former Biden staffer who emphasized his experience in the Biden White House, won an open seat in the House of Representatives to become Rhode Island’s first Black member of Congress; and nationwide, right-wing Moms4Liberty and anti-transgender-rights school board candidates tended to lose their races.
In Virginia, Governor Glenn Youngkin campaigned hard to flip the state senate to the Republicans, telling voters that if his party had control of the whole government he would push through a measure banning abortion after 15 weeks. This has been a ploy advanced by Republicans to suggest they are moderating their stance on abortion, and Youngkin appeared to be trying out the argument as a basis for a run for the presidency.
But voters, who are still angry at the overturning of Roe v. Wade, which protected abortion rights until about 24 weeks, after fetal abnormalities are evident, rejected the suggestion they should settle for a smaller piece of what they feel has been taken from them by extremists on the Supreme Court.
Today, Youngkin indicated he will not run for president in 2024.
The Democrats who won have prioritized good governance, including the protection of fundamental reproductive rights. In Kentucky, Beshear focused on record economic growth in the state—in his first term he secured almost $30 billion in private-sector investments in the economy, creating about 49,000 full-time jobs—and his able handling of emergencies, as well as his support for education and, crucially, reproductive rights.
In Virginia, Democrat Schuyler VanValkenburg beat incumbent Republican state senator Siobhan Dunnavant, the sponsor of a culture war “parents’ rights” law that was behind the removal of books from schools. While Dunnavant tried to convince voters that VanValkenburg, a high school history and government teacher, was in favor of showing pornography to high school students, he responded with a defense of teachers and an attack on book banning, reinforcing democratic principles. As Greg Sargent noted in the Washington Post, right-wing culture wars appear to be losing their potency as opponents emphasize American principles.
In Ohio, exit polls showed that Republicans as well as Democrats backed the protection of reproductive rights. As Katie Paris of the voter mobilization group Red Wine and Blue put it: “Reproductive freedom and democracy are not partisan issues.”
After such a rejection, a political party that supports democracy would accept its losses and rethink the message it was presenting to voters. But since the 1990s, far-right Republicans have insisted that election losses simply prove they have not moved far enough to the right.
That pattern was in full view today as front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination Donald Trump explained away Republican Daniel Cameron’s loss in Kentucky by blaming it on Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who MAGA Republicans insist is too moderate.
Cameron had tied himself closely to Trump, antiabortion, and the police officers who killed Breonna Taylor in her own home in a mistaken drug raid. Three days ago, Trump had said that Cameron had made “a huge surge” after Trump endorsed him and voters saw “he’s not really ‘a McConnell guy.’ They only try to label him that because he comes from the Great State of Kentucky.” Trump assured Cameron, “I will help you!”
Now Trump blames McConnell. Right-wing podcast host Mark R. Levin echoed Trump when he told his 3.8 million followers on X that “RINOs have no winnable message.”
They are not alone in insisting that Republicans lost not because they are extremist but because they aren’t extremist enough. Georgia representative Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote that “Republicans are losing Republican voters because the base is fed up with weak Republicans who never do anything to actually stop the communist democrats…. The Republican Party is tone deaf and weak…. Republican voters are energized and can not wait to vote for President Trump…. [T]he Republican Party has only a short time to change their weak ways before they lose the base for years to come.”
It is worth remembering that just six days ago, House speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) called Greene a close friend and said he did not disagree with her on many issues.
Last night’s results highlight a key problem for the Republicans going into 2024. Their presumptive front-runner, former president Trump, is responsible for putting on the Supreme Court the justices who overturned Roe v. Wade and is on video saying he thinks that women who get abortions must be punished. That position has made him a hero with the party’s evangelical base, including lawmakers such as House speaker Johnson. But it is demonstrably unpopular in the general voting population.
As writer Molly Jong-Fast said today: “Women don’t want to die for Mike Johnson’s religious beliefs.”
Within MAGA Republicans’ refusal to admit that their far-right positions are unpopular is a disdain for those voters who disagree with them. Journalist Karen Kasler, who covers the Ohio statehouse, reported the statement of Republican Senate president Matt Huffman in the wake of yesterday’s election loss. "This isn't the end,” he said. “It is really just the beginning of a revolving door of ballot campaigns to repeal or replace Issue 1."
Ohio House speaker Jason Stephens’s statement more explicitly rejected the decision of 56.62% of Ohio voters. “I remain steadfastly committed to protecting life, and that commitment is unwavering,” he said. “The legislature has multiple paths that we will explore to continue to protect innocent life. This is not the end of the conversation.”
Later today, 27 of the 67 Ohio House Republicans signed a statement taking a stand against the abortion measure approved yesterday and vowing to “do everything in our power” to stop it.
In a conversation on the right-wing cable show Newsmax, former senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) complained that young people turned out because there were “sexy things” on the ballot like abortion and marijuana. He warned: “[P]ure democracies are not the way to run a country.”
The sentiment that it is not important to let everyone vote appeared to be at work yesterday in Mississippi, where at least nine precincts in Democratic-leaning Hinds County ran out of ballots. The most populous county in the state, Hinds County is 70% Black and includes the city of Jackson, which is almost 83% Black. Officials rushed to print more ballots, but the lines ballooned. After a judge tried to remedy the situation by extending the voting hours in the county by an hour, the Republican Party of Mississippi fought that order.
Republican governor Tate Reeves won reelection.
There was, though, another blow to the Republicans yesterday: special counsel David Weiss, who has been investigating President Biden’s son Hunter for the past five years, undermined Republican conspiracy theories when he told the House Judiciary Committee that no one is interfering with his investigation and that he, alone, makes the decisions about it.
Earlier this year, House Republicans produced an IRS employee who claimed that Biden administration officials had pressured the IRS to back off from the investigation. Weiss made it clear that accusation was wrong. “At no time was I blocked, or otherwise prevented from pursuing charges or taking the steps necessary in the investigation by other United States Attorneys, the Tax Division or anyone else at the Department of Justice,” he told the committee.
Nonetheless, in the wake of yesterday’s damaging election results, the chair of the House Oversight Committee, Representative James Comer (R-KY), today issued subpoenas to Hunter Biden and the president’s brother James.

I want to see Lucy and Tim be open and vulnerable about their feelings. Also they have barriers to cross when it comes to being together?
I’m sure there will be a moment everything comes to a head and they will. I see some ppl not happy with how the Tim Ashley break up went down and yeah I get it, it could have gone in so many different directions but Ashley is a very me me me person. She’s all about herself so no wonder she didn’t pick up on anything though I do think in the hospital when Lucy came in it got a bit awkward (kind of felt Ashley got a bit territorial esp when the dr left and she turned her back to Lucy and looked back at her idk 🤣). And her reasoning was fine and it was a small bit to do with them not being on the same page as she wanted him to retire and he wasn’t going to. Tim not ending it doesn’t feel in anyway that he doesn’t have feelings for Lucy, he has tried to push all that out of his mind, again going back to his reasonings with Angela he was with Ashley she is with Chris and he’s her superior so to Tim after they were interrupted with Chris dying that was it, he had to forget about those feelings and bury them. It was hard as we saw with all the glances and looks between the two prior to this episode but again to me him not ending it takes nothing away from him and Lucy. Ashley was safe she was comfortable especially for a man that has had so many ppl walk out of his life. At this point I don’t care how they broke up I just know they broke up don’t need to think about the ifs ands buts whys how comes anymore.
And they have two more barriers #1 Chris whom I feel will stick around for a while longer at least til mid season final at 5x09 (are ppl going to say the same with Lucy for not ending things with Chris since she has feelings for Tim?) #2 him being her superior, which seems to have been a big one for Tim, how would they get around that especially at this pace? It’s easy to get rid of love interests but the job is different. However, with Tim and Wade putting her in charge, the UC training, and all the other things Lucy has accomplished they are setting her up for something more than patrol. But with Nyla’s speech to her about how every one of the officers would have her back, they respect Lucy so to me this is good for Chenford as none of the officers at Mid Wilshire would see Tim and Lucy dating and be like oh she got where she was because she’s dating the Sargent and if anyone did say something they would go to bat for her. Yeah there is some red tape they have to go through so it’s still not going to be a smooth ride and even after they both are single I think it will be a min before they actually get together. I would love for them to go through a time of thinking they can just be friends and go back to how it was before the UC but inevitably they will not be able to fight it anymore. Anyway that was a lot sorry lol
