TO ALL THE PEOPLE OUT THERE— Do understand that there is no such thing as ‘bad’ or ‘perfect’ body. Self love is more beautiful than a perfect body. . . ❌Don’t exercise to loose weight. ❌Don’t follow any fad diets. Don’t skip your meals. ❌Don’t do the exercises that you hate the most. ❌Don’t go for diet food like ‘sugar free’, ‘zero calorie’ food, they are more unhealthy than the real food because of the use of artificial substitutes. ✅Instead focus on taking care of your health both mental and physical health. ✅Focus on how you feel from inside. ✅Feed your body good nutrients, eat fresh and seasonal vegetables and fruits. ✅Keep your body moving, exercise to reduce stress. ✅Get healthy amount of sleep. ✅Choose a healthy lifestyle which you can enjoy. A healthy lifestyle from which you don’t need a cheat day!! . . #vividvibesnoida #vividvibesfitnessstudio #bodypositivity #focusonhealthnotweight #dontskipyourmeals #saynotodiet #noweightissues #eathealthy #keepmoving #focusoninnerpeace #mentalandphysicalhealth #gethealthysleep #feedyourbodyright #eatfreshfood #eatseasonalfood #healthylifestyle #loveyourself #loveyourbody #everybodyisbeatiful #perfectionisoverrated #selfloveisthebestlove #healthyisnewsexy #stayhealthystayhappy #nocheatdays #loveyourlife #loveyourbody #workoutdaily #stayfitstayhealthy #fitnessmotivation #motivation #bodypositive (at Noida) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-32UzwAxQc/?igshid=11ws6npk5gpvi

If you’re like me & you’ve only just begun your journey towards body positivity then, like me, you’ll occasionally have some bits of your former ‘lifestyle’ pop up randomly when you least expect it. Ages ago I subscribed to this newsletter by a woman called Maria, who claimed I could get The Perfect Body™ with a meagre 5 minute work out a day. I’ve always hated working out so this was the dream to me. Like with everything, I lasted about a week. But today I found a new e-mail from Maria in my mailbox. I’ve selected a few quotes from the email. Let’s set this record straight. 1) You gain weight during pregnancy because there is literally a human being growing inside you. That weight gain is not gross, alarming or any negative adjective you want to use to describe it. You gain weight because you’re feeding that baby. You gain weight to protect that little one from harm, from the elements, from shocks and bumps. There is a miracle unfolding in your tummy. It’s a beautiful natural process. Cherish that stunning belly for all it’s doing for you & your bub. 2) No. Diet. Plan. Works. Losing weight fast is a nightmare for your body. It shocks your system and makes your body go into starvation mode, meaning your metabolism slows down and your body retains MORE fat to protect itself. Never mind the fact that it does horrible things to your muscles (ergo your heart) and other organs. Move with love. Eat with love. Adore your body. Give it the movement and building blocks it needs. It’ll show you the (best and safest) way. Whatever that looks like, you’ll look wonderful and your body will thank you. 3) Your body will ALWAYS fight diets because that’s how our biology was designed. Everyone has a base weight they always bounce back to. That’s what we call the yo-yo effect. Gaining weight back to that point doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It means that’s where your body is most comfortable and it’s asking you to love it exactly there, where it feels best. That does not make you a failure. It might actually win you the grand prize: a happy, fulfilling life. Thank you @bodyposipanda for helping me love myself. #bopo #bodypositivity #saynotodiet #selflove #loveyourself

(READ) As a former chef (now home and party chef) I am into food. Check out my food I.G. @itsfoodoclock. Food has played a big part in my life. In fact, it has played a big part in everybody's life, at family gatherings, festivals, parties, going to the beach, when stressed and depressed, when in love, when traveling, etc. Also, for me, having worked in many restaurants, as a caterer, and as a cooking instructor (even after I studied PE, and fitness, and health, and some nutrition) I realized that the idea of not eating something because it is not considered healthy by pop culture standards is one of the most unhealthy things that one can do. You see, ever since we humans started cooking food was not just a way to get energy. We would sit together, tell stories, pass knowledge onto our kids, protect each other, provide warmth, and even have sex. All of the aspects of health are influenced and nourished by food (Social, Physical, Intellectual, Cognitive, Emotional, and Consciousness). And to ignore and deny these there because of trends has created one of the major issues in human health, Nutritionism. #quantumfit #education #literacy #integratedphysicaleducation #literacy #fuckpopculture #fuckdietculture #antiweightloss #antibullshit #physicaleducationforsocialchange #letstakecontrolofourhealth #letseat #saynotodiet #nutritionism #eatthefuckingcake https://www.instagram.com/p/ByiDWK0BoSX/?igshid=yq0xbrjy61th

If you eat whole foods in the proper portions there is no need to "diet". Eat as close to source as possible and enjoy the other stuff in moderation. My journey is about being a healthier, stronger me. #EatYourKaleBeforeYourPizza #ItsCalledBalance #BaconMakesEverythingBetter #LiftStuffAndEatCarbs #PizzaTastesBetterWhenYouLift #iifym #SayNoToDieting #YouAreWhatYouEat #Repost @badassbydesign with @repostapp ・・・ A common and acceptable question in today's culture is "what diet are you doing?" ...⠀ ⠀ It's human nature to want to label, categorize, and methodize what we do as it gives us security and a sense of control, but personally, I've given this up...

Let’s Begin
So this past year, I don’t want to say that I let myself go, but I definitely started just eating whatever and whenever I wanted. And it shows. I’ve put on over 20lbs. And while I know I’m not fat, I just don’t feel attractive anymore. So I’ve decided to change what I’ve been doing. Instead of dieting or doing some crazy fad I’m am instead going to work on the problems I have that led to the weight gain. So more of a lifestyle change.
To start let me tell you some background.
I’m in a graduate program in hopes of getting into medical school this coming application cycle. I am taking classes part time and am also working part time. Work and class are right by each other in Philadelphia, but I’m living with family friends in the suburbs to save money. My commute is about an hour and because I’m not living on my own and other people are feeding me I have less control over my diet and there’s always snack food around. I also just graduated from college this last spring. I also started a new relationship a couple months before graduation. So, overall there’s a lot going on in my life and almost all of it is positive. But it can also be overwhelming. I’m really busy and don’t get out much unless it’s too see my boyfriend (we’re long distance this year) or spend time with family (my sister lives near by). So with everything going on it’s just hard to care much about what I’m eating.
It all sort of started when I started dating my boyfriend. I was taking some exercise classes at the time and going to the gym but then I started going out to bars and drinking more. We were also going out to dinner more and getting more take out. But because I was exercising and busy I wasn’t really putting on weight yet, just forming bad habits. After graduation I went into MCAT crazed study mode. So I would sort of just eat anything in sight while studying. And outside of work I wasn’t doing much else. I stopped exercising. After my test I then continued to go out and eat out a lot, but because I had graduated I no longer had access to a gym for free so I wasn’t exercising. When I moved to Philli I didn’t have a car yet, but I was biking places. The biking part was good, but because I couldn’t get places easily I was staying home and watching TV a lot in my free time and I also couldn’t go to the store to by foods for lunch so I was eating out a lot at work. And then with the stress from school and looking into med school applications things just kind of got out of hand. I started to be less productive and would find myself wasting days away doing nothing. And was struggling to find the motivation do be better. But enough is enough and I’m going to change.
So today is day 1.
I went to the store this morning to get a dry erase board to write a To-Do list every night for the next day. I also made a meal plan for the week. I think what will really help me make a change in the end is organization. If I have a plan I will be more likely to stick to it. Also if I make a to-do list I will be more likely to be productive and actually do that stuff as opposed to sit around and procrastinate. And then stress that nothing is done.
I also joined a gym back in January. I’ve been decent at going, but depending on the week I either go a lot or none based on how stressed I am over school work. Hopefully being more organized will help me be less stressed and procrastinate less so I can plan out my time better and go to the gym more regularly.
I’ve also set goals for myself. Normally I’m the kind of person who will buy things impulsively. I tell myself I work hard and deserve to treat myself to whatever. Often they are things that are useful and that I need, but don’t need that minute. I also don’t buy expensive things (luckily, otherwise I would be in so much debt, or more than I already am from my student loans). However, I could show more self control. So instead, I’ve thought of all the things I want (little things) and set them as rewards for myself. When I lose my first 5lbs I will get to buy one of them. And then another at 10lbs and so on. My hope is to lose at least 20lbs total. If not 25-30lbs.
I also want to hold myself accountable so I’m going to try and post on here regularly. Even if no one else reads it.
Wish me luck!

Is that on your diet? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that in my life. Because I have always been active and fit it has always been assumed that I’m on a special diet. Even when I gained this bout of menopause weight the first response I got from everyone was about my diet. 😂I’ve definitely had my experiences with dieting. Growing up we lived on diet soda and carrot sticks a few days before bikini season. Or if I wanted to drop a few I just ate salad for 3 days and viola it was gone. Segway to adulthood and babies and the Atkins diet was always a go to for me to drop the last of that baby weight that wanted to linger💪But mostly I’ve always eaten instinctively. My body craved mostly really good nourishing foods and it seemed to take care of itself and when I wanted to indulge in something as lovely as this pecan pie I did. One year all I ate for Thanksgiving was a pecan pie. The whole entire pie😄Luckily it was less often than more😂 But there has always been that other person next to me and my own inside voice that questions whether or not you should eat “fattening” foods. Whether I should eat the pie. Whether I should eat 2 pieces of pie. 🦃For some food can be a trigger. If you eat one piece you’re of the opinion that you blew your diet so the day becomes a free for all. That’s a different scenario and one that has both mental and physical responses that can be altered.🦃For others, a piece of pie is a delicacy that should be consumed and is good for the soul❤️Fiod is our source of energy and if you break down the ingredients of a pie, it’s mostly energy foods combined-nuts, honey, cinnamon, grains and fats. 💪So basically what I’m saying is stop asking the #yogagirls if the food on their plates is on their diet! Because it is🤸‍♀️#eatingdisorderrecovery #foodisfuelforthebody #sportyoga #nutureyourbody #pecanpie #thanksgivingdinner #holidayeating #healyourgut #saynotodiets #eatforyourbody https://www.instagram.com/p/BqhehmZns76/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=yso3kugycecv

2017 vs 2018 and 241 wasn’t even my highest weight for 2017. Fuck you excess weight. Fuck you unhappy life. Fuck you fad diets, pills, and extreme work outs. Just live your fucking life and make choices that will benefit you all around. Each that cake, eat that greasy ass burger but do it smart. Treat yourself and don’t listen to those around saying you can’t/shouldn’t have these things. 2018, just like 2017 I am making you my bitch. #weightloss #saynotodiets #2018ismybitch #weightlossjourney
