HOLY. FUCKING. HELL.

So Specialedd finished his gameplay series of In Sound Mind and is, hands down, easily able to tear the fuck me out. This game is a masterpiece, its so emotional. I really cried at the fact that the government or smth tried to kill Desmond and his parting with his cat. This game easily made me tear up, wtf. (This is actually a rare occurrence for me 😭)

This is a fucking masterpiece psychological game. It had the strongest feels and--ugh its just way too emotional. It tackled things about mental health whilst being a game.

The characters that resonated the most to me is Allen and Desmond. My favorite part of the game would be Jorge (a mannequin)-and also the other mannequins-helping Desmond. Fuck. And it has an animated mv of it which made it sooooo sick!! It's way too fucking awesome. And that scene in the post-credits? Fucking wtf moment for me! The kinda 'relieved' type of wtf lol.

I should also mention that in Lucas' tape, those star connecting puzzles are so fucking awesome. And also i remembered, the 4 medallions in the church, fucking awesome detail.

I love this game and I--ugh damnit.

This is way too realistic for me. Damn too much. Im gonna have a brainrot on this. And the lamp/small chandelier near the staircase, the light had the colors! And the details of the map outside the building--the rooftop. All the places-Homamart, Icarus point, the quarry and the Elysium state park(or whatever, its smth Elysium) theyre all there! I love that detail sm. I even stopped the assignment im currently doing just to check on yt and suddenly the last episode of the gameplay is the first thing i saw! XD

I love this. I so love this sm. This-well, ive had a bit of interest in psychology or smth that affects people's behaviors and minds and stuff. This game. This. Game. Damn showed it too well.

In sound mind is going to my favorite games, kudos to We Create Stuff !(game dev team) This game has left an impact on me.

Sometimes I try to comprehend the fact that what we call "civilization" and the beginning of cities and writing and agriculture and Society is only a fraction of the time that we have been Homo Sapiens.

The gods we call ancient, the stories and languages that we can barely decipher and untangle because they're so lost to time...they're still just a tiny portion of the possible hundred thousand years or more that we have been Homo Sapiens spreading over the earth, making art and clothes and language and still having culture.

And I think about how much even more ancient complexity of human art and stories we have lost and how this whole Civilization thing is almost like an experimental phase of our species and I gotta fuckin lie down.

Small nationverse hc brought up from the poll about them being able to have kids or not-

I see the nations as having a humanoid form but they are very much not truly human in nature- they're more somewhere between a cryptid and a collection of ideals that simply has a human form (sort of along the lines of a manifestation but not really) that makes it easy to interact w their people and mingle with their inhabitants. It's an adaptation to interact with the people of their nation. But because theres no biological reason for reproduction due to how they're made they can't have kids (they may have the external parts but not the cells inside that make it happen between humans), and i think they also can't have kids w each other either because their true forms are so distinct even if their "basis" of creation is the same- and said form comes out when they stay away from their people for too long. Like when Ivan is away from his people and his form starts to slip away from his humanoid self he gets a bit more of a muzzle, and visually he's more bearish with dark eyes and a mane of fur down his back and large hands and big teeth. Matthew on the other hand gets a bit too tall and wiery to look truly human and, if hes isolated too long, he starts to sprout horns, while Alfred has to hide patches of alligator skin and a jaw of too many teeth and his hair gets almost "feathery". And they don't go back to truly humanoid immediately after they return, even if it is a pretty quick shift- their body has to observe humans again and relearn to adapt and for a while people can just tell something is off about them. Moreso than usual. Bits are drawn from the folklore and stories of an area but bc a nation is its own distinct thing (and there's a LOT of folklore in every one, far too much to try and combine all into one thing) its not quite entirely what you hear in tales- but perhaps enough to spur on the modern cryptid hunters of the times every time one of the nations is, say, spotted up in the mountains on a cold snowy day.

It might be tempting fate, but wpuld you sketch the teens (and Hermie) as adults? Curious to see your takes on their grown designs!

These are all flexible because I think their adventure will shape who they are as adults a whole lot, but I’ve got some notes. I like Scary’s hair and keeping her in dark colours, I don’t think Link would get too different in his style, I think he wouldn’t jump at changing it up if he didn’t need to, I’ve already said I don’t know how demon Taylor’s going to get, it depends on how much he goes through it, he stays short tho, Will already gave me what to do for Normal, thank you Will, and Hermie I just kinda let him grow his hair out, funnily enough, like Link, I think Hermie’s also pretty comfortable in his style
