Hazel: *is loafing on a chair and chilling on a biplane ride* UwU Carol/Emeraldia: *goes up to Hazel* Hazel: *sits up* what do you want.. ¬.¬ Carol/Emeraldia: WAAAHH YOU'RE SAD ABOUT ME LEAVING!!!!! >8''C Hazel: wait, you're leaving? nah, I'm happy! ^-^ *wagging her floofy tail* Carol/Emeraldia: I'M GOING TO KEEP HARASSING YOU GRR GRR GRR! Hazel: *stretches* welp, so much for leaving me alone. :v Carol/Emeraldia: SO LONG SUCKER D8< *tries to claw Hazel* *C R U N C H.* Hazel: *she dodged Carol and bit down on Carol/Emeraldia's arm with her sharp fangs* try that again, and your arm comes off. *her razor sharp fangs dig deeper into Emeraldia/Carol* Carol/Emeraldia: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!! YOU'RE GOING DOWN, FOX!! *tries to shove her off the plane* Hazel: not if I take you down with me! *she pulls Carol's arm and shoves her off the plane, causing both of them to fall off the plane* Pilot: *didn't realise they both fell off the plane, is too busy getting to places* Hazel: *is falling through the sky* UH! oh no oh no oh no.. >.< *transforms into Witch Hazel, makes her broomstick magically appear, and lands on it, riding on her broom* phew... Ú.Ù; Carol/Emeraldia: *IS HANGING FROM THE BOTTOM OF HAZEL'S BROOM* YOU'RE IN BIG BIG TROUBLE MISSY. Don't you get it?! I ALWAYS GET MY WAY!!!! Witch Hazel: No you don't! get lost, stalker! *she repeatedly scratches Carol/Emeraldia in the face with her very sharp claws* Carol/Emeraldia: OW! *still hanging on* I WANT YOUR BROOM!! LET ME STEAL IT!!!! *is trying to climb on* Witch Hazel: Nope! You're not getting it, thief. Nex Benedict's death wasn't just for being transgender, it was for being native too. 2 Spirits are revered in many native cultures and it is a native-specific identity. This wasn't just a hate crime against trans & NB individuals, this was also a hate crime against Natives of Turtle Island.

You cannot separate Nex's trans identity from their native identity - this is a case of MMIWG2S (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2 Spirits).

Native children being killed at school is nothing new, so it's equally important to talk about Nex's native identity and being intersectional, this is a devastating tragedy for indigenous people, the queer community & especially those of us who are both indigenous and queer.
