Soothing Relief Exploring the Sitz Bath and Its Meaning
It is additionally fundamental for know the sitz shower meaning. A sitz shower, articulated "sits," is a helpful practice that includes drenching the lower half of the body, including the hindquarters and private parts, in warm water. This treatment has been around for quite a long time, and its name starts from the German word "sitzen," and that signifies "to sit."

Annabeth hip-checks her brother gently, stepping out onto the porch and sliding the door shut behind her. She yawns behind her hand.
"What's up, dude?"
Nico blinks at her. "I forget you spent much of your life in California."
Annabeth flushes. "I'll go back inside."
"No no no no, I'm sorry, I need your help so bad."
As if Nico had said hey I have a blank cheque here with your name on it, Annabeth perks up. All sleepiness evaporates from her gray eyes.
"Yeah?"
"Yes. I'm -- stupid, Annabeth. I have reached the bitter end of processing power in my brain. It's lonely down here. I've got, like, a lonely cracker and some pocket lint. I'm bereft."
"You lost me at the second sentence."
"I just mean --" Nico draws in a breath, pressing his knuckle to his nose -- "I don't...know things."
Annabeth stares at him.
"...Uh-huh."
"Like. Things of the...heart. Mind. You know, feelings."
"Nico, is this about -- look." She presses her hands together, inhaling. "I'm no matchmaker, man. I support your plan wholeheartedly and am rooting for you but I landed my boyfriend by insulting him upon first meeting him. I just -- I got nothing, okay. Human behavior is the antithesis to logic. Every emotion makes me cry forever. Flirting? I don't know her. I threaten and wink and it works for me. I'm --"
"Percy says he thinks it's a self-esteem problem," Nico blurts. Annabeth falters. "He thinks he -- hates himself."
"...Oh." She sags against the door, sighing. "Oh, um. Yeah. He does."
Yeah. He does.
Nico stands there, struck dumb.
"And -- Percy," he manages eventually. "Hates himself."
Annabeth nods. "Yes."

They reach the bathhouse quickly. It is a grander building, and as they approach Will quiets, commentary fading back into his quiet humming. Nico blinks, and realizes he misses it. He swallows back the urge to ask him a leading question and follows him instead through the open doorways.
The bathhouse is hot, wet and humid. Braziers burn lowly in between a circlet of forty or more sitz baths, each made of polished stone, each with a stair for an attendant and a plethora of soaps to choose from. In the widened pupil of the tholos is the piscina, steam curling gently from its blue waters, stones warmed and resting gently on the mosaicked base. The tiny colored tiles paint scenes of the Olympians greatest battles; their defeat of the raging Cronus, the subjugation of sneaking Prometheus. Easily accessible in spanning shelves lie bars and bottles of soaps and incense, of perfume and dried flower petals. The entire house smells of sweet oil and clean water.
Will waits at the rows of hooks near the entrance, basket at his feet, eyes trained to Nico expectantly. Nico realizes he is waiting for Nico's direction: hip baths, or communal. Bathing together, or being bathed. Nico swallows, lifting off his robe. Quickly, eyes still steady, Will removes his podea, standing loose and tall in the nude. Nico fumbles with the neck of his tunic, getting it caught on the mess of his hair, and Will laughs, softly, reaching over to his burning face to ease him out of it.
"Early morning, my Lord," he excuses, biting back a smile. "The most robust of gods are not quite coordinated until the sun crests high on its horizon."
Nico does not answer so he does not crack on his words. He turns, instead, and walks, shoulders tense and reddened, to the piscina, pausing at the stone ledge.
Will walks, feet padding, a beat after him.
volleyball: 1
Over the years Will has noticed a lot of his friends develop the idea that he secretly hates the infirmary.
He does not.
Sure, there are bad memories. There are times when he steps on a floorboard that he doesn't usually, and the creak of the wood sounds exactly the same as when he stumbled onto it, time ago, blood on his hand, dead body on his gurney. Or when the wind blows the curling hyacinth in the windows right to him, on busy mornings, and suddenly he hears his older sister's laughter, long gone, swirling among the petals. Or, worst, he sorts through the old filing cabinets, and there is a file he's missed from years past, covered in handwriting that is so familiar it aches.
Of course there is grief.
There is grief everywhere.
He cannot escape it in his cabin, or in the cabin he claims most nights; he cannot escape it in the softened brush of his guitar; he cannot escape it in the campfire, in loud, rowdy mealtimes, in the height of Thalia's pine. He cannot escape it in his tiny room back home where the Texas heat swells and the electric fan never stops humming. He cannot escape it in his dreams, in the idioms he uses he copied from his brothers, his friends. What Will's friends do not understand is that camp is his home. Camp is his home, and his home has long since been haunted, and the ghosts that live alongside him wave to him every morning.
Will waves back, smiling softly.
5+1: 1
"I need you to switch your archery block with me and not tell Will," Nico says, ignoring the insult. "No further questions allowed."
"No questions will be an extra seven dollars."
"What? No way!"
"One dollar per question, Tony Stark." She scowls. "Curse our society for making rich characters cool. I'm trying to insult you."
Nico really considers telling her to stuff it. One dollar per question is a ridiculous rate and he refuses to pay on principle.
However.
There is no way he is getting the forty dollars he has already given to her back, so.
"Your bloodline will be cursed a generation per bill," mutters Nico darkly, counting out the bills. He is in fact short, and has to reach through the shadows to the loose panel under Cecil's bed and borrow a few quarters.
"Yeah, yeah. Alright." She squares her shoulders, staring up at him. She has a way of appearing as if she is six feet tall, when in fact she is four-foot-three. "I will do this for you. But note: I don't need that archery practice." She plants her feet on the ground, tilts her chin up, and stares. Nico realizes abruptly that this is not playfulness on her end, this is not the character she plays when they have these such interactions -- her face is darkly serious, mouth drawn into a thin line. "I think it's funny what you're doing, di Angelo. But my brother is sensitive. This better not be a joke."
Nico's eyes widen. "It's not. I -- swear, Kayla, I'd never do that."
She nods. "Good."
She makes a show of slinging her bow, stalking across the common with the sun glinting off her arrows. Nico is under no such delusions that it is unintentional. He watches her gather her siblings, rushing them away between the stables and strawberry fields before Will notices.
road trip au: 1 2 3 4
It is not quite dark, when they cross the Tennessee border, but the sign is squarely behind them and deep, dark orange, glinting blindingly off the blue road sides. Regardless, Will doesn't falter; he does not slow down and squint at every exit sign or murmur to himself as he counts the miles. This is unusual, because Nico has seen him squint to verify the street signs on the road he lives on.
Nico watches him, quietly.
Will pretends he doesn't.
They are in and out of Chattanooga. The mountains, too, are only flashes -- beautiful, staggering flashes, but Will winds through them with ease, and does not pause. Nico notes the bored holes every few feet and traces the jagged cliff faces with his eyes, memorizing the way the setting sun turns the stone to ruby.
He flinches every time there is a sharp turn, or a hole in the road. Every twitch of Will's shoulders has him gripping onto the holy shit handle, and if Will so much as removes one hand to scratch his nose Nico stops breathing. They are never doing this again.
But it is nice, this one time. To watch the world whir by outside the rolled-down windows.

Everlasting Love and Protection (A Fluffy Castlevania Nocturne Fanfic)
Summary: After a difficult labor, Annette is on strict bedrest until she recovers. Richter dotes over Annette and their new daughter, wanting to his best by them. During a quiet moment, Richter and Annette talk about their family histories and agree on what is most important for their daughter’s future. Pure fluff-filled Richette fic with a lot of gentleness and cuddles
Author's Note: I've been writing fanfics for many years. I've always loved writing about babies and imagining how my favorite characters would fare as parents. So of course I wanted to try this with Richter and Annette.
I also did research as I was writing this. I wanted to ensure that Annette and her culture were treated with the care and respect they deserve. I hope you enjoy this soft fluffy fic.
CW for Postpartum Recovery
***
Annette was sitting up in bed, covered by several blankets. Only 5 days had passed since the birth of her first child. The labor was difficult, lasting a little over 48 hours. In order to ensure a full recovery, Cécile and the midwife had placed Annette on strict bedrest. Annette felt both exhausted and restless, but she knew that it was vital for both her body and soul to recuperate. She trusted the family around her to take care of her and the baby. Cécile and the midwife drew Annette sitz baths and made her tea every day.
And Richter… Annette’s beloved Richter. He had taken over most childcare duties since Annette had been placed on bedrest, only giving her the baby when it was time to feed. Richter was trying to do his best by his “goddess of a wife” and “beautiful little princess” as he affectionately called them. Annette closed her eyes and smiled as she thought about them, her Belmont and her new daughter.
Richter entered the room at that moment, holding the baby tightly against his chest.
“She finally pooped!” Richter announced in a singsong voice, a big grin on his face. Annette looked at his proud expression and snorted.
“You seem more pleased about that than she does.” Annette teased, eyes moving to the bundle Richter was holding. The baby yawned and blinked.
“Well, it’s been a few hours! I was getting worried,” Richter said playfully as he tapped the baby’s nose with his index finger. “I need to make sure our little Ileara is comfortable.”
Ileara Belmont. That was what Annette and Richter had decided to name their child. As soon as Ileara was born, she cried fiercely, announcing to the whole world that she had arrived. Richter commented that she had a healthy pair of lungs, and Annette remembered an ancestor by the name of Ileara. “The healthy child.” Annette thought the name suited her little girl.
Annette smiled softly as she looked at her husband and daughter. Richter was staring at Ileara with absolute adoration, completely mesmerized.
“Can I hold her?” Annette requested, holding her arms out. Richter looked up and suddenly remembered where he was.
“Oh! Yeah! Of course you can! I mean she’s your baby too after all. Maybe moreso yours than mine. Definitely moreso yours than mine. You carried her inside of you for 9 months. I couldn’t have done that. I mean I would have if it were possible, in order to help you out. I wonder if there’s a spell somewhere that could make me-“
“Richter.” Annette interrupted as she held her arms out even further. Richter looked sheepish.
“Right, sorry!” Richter carefully placed the little girl in her mother’s arms. Annette laid Ileara against her chest and gently rested her chin on the baby’s head.
“Hello, ti cheri,” Annette crooned. “Did you bond with your papa today?”
Richter walked to the other side of the bed and examined the blankets covering Annette. “Are you warm enough? Cécile and the midwife said it was really important for you and the baby to stay warm.”
Annette chuckled softly. Richter had constantly asked after her comfort since Ileara was born, very much like a mother hen. Annette found it endearing. “Yes, I’m warm. But I wouldn’t mind if a certain Belmont joined us in bed and made us warmer with his magic.”
Richter was only too happy to oblige. He crawled into bed next to Annette and wrapped his strong muscled arms around her in a tight embrace. Annette melted into his touch and hummed. Richter’s eyes went to his daughter once again. The baby had inherited her mother’s deep brown skin and her father’s big blue eyes.
“She’s amazing, Annette,” Richter said in awe. “She’s only 5 days old but she’s just so… amazing. I’ve never felt a love like this before.”
“Neither have I,” Annette agreed, also admiring her baby. “My sweet baby Ileara. This must be the love my mother felt when I was first born.”
“Mine too.” Richter replied, tightening his hug around Annette. He suddenly looked away, feeling a little downtrodden. Annette felt the shift in energy and turned to him.
“What is it?” she asked with concern.
Richter thought about his next words carefully. “It’s just… I don’t want Ileara to feel pressured. Being a Belmont is a heavy weight to bear. My entire life, I always felt like I had to prove myself worthy enough to carry the Belmont name. I want Ileara to be connected to her family history, but I don’t want her to feel like she needs to be something she isn’t. I want her to be herself. I just want her to be happy.”
Annette nodded, understanding completely. “I’ve thought about that too. I’m literally descended from gods. My ancestry is filled with healers and warriors, priestesses and spellcasters. So many amazing people came before Ileara, but it is a lot.”
“So much history in such a little girl…” Richter said thoughtfully.
“But Ileara won’t feel pressured because we won’t pressure her,” Annette said resolutely. “We will teach her about her ancestors. We’ll tell her everything she needs to know about their strengths and hardships, their successes and missteps. She will carry those who came before her in her heart, but first and foremost, she will be her own wonderful self. And we can guide her on that journey. Together.”
Annette looked down at Ileara and saw that she had fallen fast asleep. Annette could feel the baby’s slow and even breaths against her chest.
“Our ancestors are watching over her, always watching over her,” Annette continued as she stroked the baby’s head. “No matter what she decides to do with the gift of life, Ileara will always have the love and protection of her ancestors. And she’ll have ours too. That’s why I’m not too worried.”
Richter considered Annette’s words seriously. He eventually nodded and pressed a soft kiss to Annette’s temple. “How did I ever find a woman as brilliant as you?”
“You got lucky.” Annette answered with a sly smile. Richter laughed lightly as Annette yawned.
“Sleep,” Richter said softly, tightening his hug once again. “I know how tired you are. You and Ileara get some rest. I’ll be here when you wake up.”
Annette already felt her eyes closing. She hugged Ileara closer and rested her head against Richter’s chest. Knowing that Richter would keep his word, she slipped into a deep, peaceful slumber.
Richter continued to stare at his wife and daughter, nothing but pure love reflected in his eyes. Annette was right; Richter was the luckiest man in the world.
“Sleep well, my loves.”

Related plants: Is a member of the daisy family Asteraceae that consists of over 32,000 known species of flowering plants in over 1,900 genera within it such as chamomile, coneflowers, dahlia, daisy, dandelion, goldenrod, lettuce, marigold, mugwort & sunflower
Parts used: Leaves & flowers
Habitat and Cultivation: This hardy plant is native to temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere in Asia, Europe & North America
Plant type: Perennial
Region: 3-9
Harvest: Harvest yarrow when the blooms only when they have fully opened. It should be cut right above the leaf node to encourage the plant to potentially flower again. Many choose to harvest the flowers in the late morning when the dew has dried before so that the plant is not stressed by the extreme heat. Hot, dry spells right before bloom seems to be ideal for producing the most fragrant leaves.
Growing tips: Plant in an area that receives full sun to encourage compact growth and many flowers about 1-2 feet apart. In partial sun or shade, yarrow tends to grow leggy. Yarrow performs best in well-drained soil. It thrives in hot, dry conditions; it will not tolerate constantly wet soil. Loamy soil is recommended, but yarrow can also be grown in clay soil as long as it does not always stay saturated with water. While this plant is technically considered invasive only in noncultivated settings, common yarrow still needs to be planted in an area where you don't mind proliferation.
Medicinal information: Yarrow has a history of being used for fever, common cold, hay fever, absence of menstruation, dysentery, diarrhea, loss of appetite, gastrointestinal (GI) tract discomfort, and to induce sweating. Some people chew the fresh leaves to relieve toothache. Yarrow is applied to the skin to stop bleeding from hemorrhoids; for wounds; and as a sitz bath for painful, lower pelvic, cramp-like conditions in women. Some people chew the fresh leaves to relieve toothache.
Cautions: Yarrow is commonly consumed in foods, but yarrow products that contain a chemical called thujone might not be safe because it is poisonous in large doses. Yarrow is not recommended for use during pregnancy or chestfeeding as it causes risks of miscarriage. Yarrow might slow blood clotting. In theory, taking yarrow might increase the risk of bleeding in people with bleeding disorders. In some people, it also might cause skin irritation & is toxic to cats & dogs.

hey sex witch I have a sort of uncomfortable question - I keep getting really bad cysts on my labia and I was wondering if I should talk to a doctor about this, or if there's anything I can do to get rid of them
hi anon,
you may have success relieving the discomfort at home with sitz baths, but if painful cysts are a recurring problem for you it's probably for the best to check in with a doctor to find out if there's anything you could be doing to prevent/lessen the presence of the cysts and make sure that they're not connected to any larger health problems. this is especially the case if the cysts ever become infected and full of puss, as that can require antibiotics or even surgical drainage to treat.

And then she will probably tell me to stop “embarrassing her in front of her friends” but at least I’ll be right dammit

Different Options For Thrombosed Hemorrhoid Treatment
Find information on what are hemorrhoids. Find out all about the different learn more types and what kind of treatment is needed for each.
External hemorrhoids are swellings in the veins surrounding the anus. They are similar to varicose veins in the legs. A thrombosed external hemorrhoid is a painful complication of this. Thrombosed hemorrhoid treatment includes the use of preventive measures, home remedies and alternative treatments, and surgical excision for the removal of blood from the thrombosed hemorrhoid.
Prevention of a thrombosed hemorrhoid is the best way to avoid costly treatment for this painful condition. The condition causes intense pain as blood supply to the hemorrhoid is cut off due to the formation of a blood clot.
You can easily prevent the condition by following dietary precautions, the use of a high fiber diet, and a regular bowel evacuation habit. Some more prevention techniques you can try at home include not sitting for long in the toilet and not straining hard to defecate. Home remedies for external hemorrhoids include the use of a warm sitz bath and not lifting heavy weights if you are predisposed towards the condition.
If you can follow all the above measures, you will find that the chances of the development of a thrombosed external hemorrhoid will become substantially reduced. However, it develops gradually. During the early period of its growth at least, you can use all of the above measures to prevent it from blossoming into a painful condition.
However, if it does reach a very painful stage, surgery is the only option to drain the blood-suffused hemorrhoid and relieve you from the intense pain. The surgical procedure is known as hemorrhoidectomy. In the procedure, a small cut with a clean surgical knife is made on the thrombosed external hemorrhoid under local anesthesia. This helps drain the hemorrhoid of blood and immediately provides relief from pain.
The above quick procedure may result in reformation of blood clots and persisting pain. Therefore doctors sometimes use the option of a full hemorrhoidectomy under again local anesthesia. This option helps remove the clot and the blood vessels in the hemorrhoid and yields better results. However, the full procedure takes longer to execute and requires sutures to close the wound formed due to surgery.

Südengland 2014 - Tag 24
Ladies and Gentlemen!
Nun sind wir im schönen Städtchen Lyndhurst angekommen. Lyndhurst gilt seit langem als „inoffizielle Hauptstadt“ des New Forest und liegt nahe dem geografischen Zentrum des Nationalparkgebiets "New Forest".
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Der Nationalpark heißt zwar „New“, also „neu“, der Wald wurde allerdings bereits 1079 als Jagdgebiet für König William I. angelegt.
Tumblr media
Our Lady of the Assumption and St Edward the Confessor".
Tumblr media
Good Night!

Witchy Herbs: Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
This is also called devil's nettle, milfoil, seven years love, or bloodwort. It has feminine energies, connects with the element of water, and is ruled in the planet Venus. It honors Aphrodite, Hermes, and the Horned God. Zodiac sign; Aries. Crystals; Clear quartz, tigers eye, lapis lazuli.
It is a common herb you can find in most gardens. Its foliage has a silvery quality that is rather attractive. The stem and leaves of this plant are usually harvested in the latter part of summer and used in poultices and ointments to help staunch blood flow from wounds.
Hence for its Latin namesake. Achillea millefolium. According to the Greek myth, Yarrow gave the hero, Achilles, its protective powers to make him invincible wherever the herbal bath had penetrated his skin, and in turn, Achilles healed his wounded soldiers with Yarrow.
Growing yarrow in your witchy garden is always an excellent idea. Not only will you attract bees and have a steady supply of medicine, its very presence helps out all the other herbs around it. It increases the other herbs’ essential oil content as well as their growth and health in general.
Fights infections, break fevers, eases common cold symptoms, aids digestion, and easing painful menstruation or used in sitz baths for post labor. Recent studies are looking into how Yarrow can help with depression and anxiety as a tincture.
You can use this for spells involving love, healing, protection, courage, exorcism, and psychic powers.
Fun Folk Fact - When used in love spells, it is said that it will only empower that love for 7 years, the rest will be up to the couple to make it or break it.
• It is an attracting herb. If kept near, it will attract love, friends, people from the past, or to gain attention. If you think of them, they will come. • You can make a tea with this herb to enhance your psychic abilities and enjoy during divination. • Growing it near will also expel evil from any place, person, or thing. • Use yarrow to set magical boundaries. • Place yarrow over doorways to protect from negative energies. For powerful protection, pick yarrow flowers and charge them in the sun. Once charged, take the flowers and sprinkle them outside all the way around your home. This will keep any negative influences and energies away from your home. • Wash down a room or Ouija board with yarrow to attract friendly spirits. • Wash crystals and crystal balls with a yarrow rinse to bring about clarity of vision. • Yarrow has weak romantic properties making it the perfect courting ingredient when you just want to get to know someone before getting serious.
