the leverage team would have had a games night… once. everyone cheated so much and in such increasingly extreme ways that all mentions of monopoly are banned in their headquarters (this makes talking about marks who monopolize the market very confusing)

#leverage #nate wouldn’t cheat but he’d be by far the most annoying still. like he’d conduct a whole Scheme to win and give a little monologue wheneve #he made a good move and everyone would want to kill him #parker woukd obvs be stealing money & cards and she’d move their pieces and swap their stuff #but also she’d try to use her turn to rob the bank #sophie would use neurolinguistic programming and dominate the board w properties #which somehow parker would literally never land on and that’s incredibly suspicious but none of them really know how she could possibly be #manipulating that fact? it’s logically impossible bc they’re watching her roll the die and move the piece and sophie knows which properties #she owns so it makes no sense. but parker is parker and she simply will not be caught (even by sophie’s properties)#hardison has studied monopoly theory (yes there are math theories on how to play monopoly) and /tries/ to abide by them but again. sophie i #manipulating him and parker is stealing from him (and sometimes oddly enough *for* him. new money ends up in his bank somehow) so it’s hard #so eventually he resorts to cheating like Everyone Fucking Else and does pretty well bc he rlly does know what sets he wants etc.#eliot is genuinely playing normally. no cheating no math stuff no schemes.#but he’s just sitting there fuming the entire time bc they’re all very obviously messing with the game and he Knew this was gonna happen bu #goddamn hardison & parker especially know how to get on his nerves (often purposely)#he calms down by making some snacks and. resorting to also cheating lol.#leverageposting

Anyway, I'll elaborate on this in the tags bc omg I'm going to yap your metaphorical ear off.

#SO during the whole “affogato almost takes over the citadel situation” dark cacao cookie [whom i will refer to as DC for my health]#dc basically took all the cookies that were hunting/fishing/patrolling the surrounding lands for food and stuff to make them work #on fortifying the wall #therefore two things happened 1] the cookies who still were hunting for food literally couldn't keep up with the apatites of cookies who #were working super fucking hard on the wall and 2] all the farming imports from the villages near by stopped almost entirely because #it was too dangerous to import their goods or get anything from the citadel [like tools] so they had to keep what they could for themselves #so effectively a famine was starting #and so cookies started eating things they probably shouldn't like deer crackers and wolf treats #looking at you Caramel and crunchy chip #caramel just never fully kicked the habit because it was what she had alot of and she would trade her rations for them with the villages #crunchy chip just allways did that tho. he's just like that #Dc on the other hand grew up in those lands before there was real communication between villages or a citadel to depend on for rations #so famine was common and rough. eatting bark and leaves were common place in his home so while he does eat jellys he never kicked the #craving for tree bark #on the plus side hes got a crazy strong stomach and can eat just about anything #whereas chocolate wafer is from a small village near the hollyberry kingdom so they have allways had an abundance of fruits and juice to #snack on. they managed to convince dc to add dried berrys to their imported goods list and now they are considerd a sweet treat #idk how to put this in kinda organically so ill just say the dc kingdom is a place that depends on imported goods heavily #things like precious metals and food usually comes from the hollyberry kingdom [and gc before her isolation]#in return dc kingdom provides military support and has the best medicine in all of earthbread. What do you mean 2024 is 90% done?

PhD Day 54: I've been very unmotivated lately, purely for health and weather reasons but today I'm glad I forced myself to make a plan and actually enforce it (so far). Happy about it and feeling the vertigo of the end of the year coming soon. Everyone tells me the first year is just meant to be confusing and things will clear up as the time passes so I'm trying to trust the process.

It's a shame that seasonal depression has such an impact in my life because I genuinely enjoy the readings, I just wish the sun didn't set at 4 pm

Just dropping my hc that Aaron Minyard is typically someone that eats relatively healthy but he also requires a little snack and a sweet treat to make it through studying. During exam seasons you'd see this man in the library with an energy drink, a mountain of books, and one of those resealable family-sized bags of skittles or something just munching down while he works and he'd be so real for it (Kevin is horrified. He's actively altering the presentation he made for Andrew about the dangers of high blood sugar and the benefits of a good diet to better suit Aaron as well)
