Hey guys I have a favour to ask

Please do not reblog Jojos post about the patreon with complaints and disappointment.

Everything everyone is saying is valid. Your fears and concerns- the disappointment because you can't afford it- is so important

Your thoughts are important and so are you

It is very unfair to Jojo, however, to see those reblogs- with half support and half negativity.

Everyone is worried about the fandom- what it means that we might not be able to see some content- that we won't know how to handle some people knowing things before others can

But I would ask that you express those concerns on your own blogs, perhaps not even under the Lu tags.

I know your intentions are good. There is no denying that we all care. But these statements are inherently negative no matter how well meant.

No problems will go away by ignoring it- by just shutting up about it.

What I fear right now is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Most concerns are about the fandom- about there being division, a sense of "elitism".

But if we're worried about division, then we will only make it happen by arguing about it.

We should turn to unity. We can work to make this positive.

Obviously no one will share what is on the patreon before it is public. But we can still share in the wonderful excitement and discussions following updates! We should agree to have just as much joy in what we love.

We should agree for there to be no bragging- only excitement when everyone can see it, that we can share our thoughts just as well as we always could.

This is a huge step for Jojo. In motivation and getting rewarded for years of hard work. In helping her to continue what takes so much time.

We've all read big project fanfictions where the author had to stop. I find this extremely reassuring as to an underlying fear I know we've all had.

Linkeduniverse is wonderful and loved. Now we have more certainty that Jojo means to see this through- to carry out what was never intended to be a story starting out.

I get it. I am so scared too. I'm scared for the fandom and I'm scared for me. There is no way I can afford it. I may not ever be able to.

I'm scared to even make this post- to say my opinion and ask something of others

This is amazing and wonderful. I think everyone agrees that we are so proud of Jojo for taking such a big step for herself.

Reblogging her post with disappointment and rants in the tags- do not show her it's not worth it- that she will only be met with disapproval.

Let's be kind- and make this positive.

Hi there! Well, thank you so much for this...I'm glad to hear that you've enjoyed hearing my/our opinions! I'm still here, and am still posting--just been taking it easy because of recovering from my surgery. But I have a lot of Asks currently sitting in my inbox that I intend to answer, so I'll certainly be sharing more of my opinions and thoughts soon. Scarlet Hollow Episode 4 Concept Art

The design process for the climax events of Scarlet Hollow Episode 4!

The very first Reese designs, including monster form, from before we’d even started real work on Episode 1:

And the below are all while working on the script for Episode 4!

There were a few principle concepts I wanted for his design: his bones and muscles are always shifting, but his skin just stretches to fit his new frame, so the skin of his face doesn’t take on any animalistic features but is instead his human face stretched across a much more animalistic skull.

I used a few creatures for vague inspiration: the way he moves and particularly the mobility of his facial bones are snakelike (mammalian skulls are fused whereas reptile skulls have mobility to them, hence their ability to unhinge their jaws.) There are some equine influences, as well as entelodont (Hell Pigs), especially for his big teeths.

Overall, I went with what looked dramatic, adding the backlighting in order to obscure his features somewhat and enhance the intensity of the look. 

And of course, I had to make sure he was hot, the most important element of his design U_U

Well another week of Tal and Ashley putting Callowmoore through the emotional ringer. I'm kinda okay with where it's at right now (okay less kinda but I can still see an end goal for them), of course it wasn't the most ideal direction I thought up in my head but it rarely ever is. There's time, there's room, and maybe in 2 3 (again guys? mental torment for 3 again?) weeks time - because no show on Thanksgiving and then Candela Obscura - Tal and Ashley will pull the trigger and not leave me an anxious mess like they have the last month and a half every Friday Morning when I have to work XD

so yeah. i don't know how the hell my follower count has doubled in like, two months. maybe it's the Fake Peppino Hugs? a lot of people have been wanting hugs after all. it uhhhh kinda makes me feel weird knowing there's this many of you. but i'll try to manage.

speaking of hugs, yes i've seen the new asks and requests in my inbox i promise!! i will get to them when i can, but for now i'm gonna try to focus on getting a couple other big important things done. mainly, a large Fake Peppino headcanon-related post i've been planning, and getting a few more characters up on Artfight before July.

and also.... i might be getting commissions up soon too?? i don't know how soon, but it'd be a way for me to get income right now since i don't have a job. or, if you don't wanna commission me but still wanna show support, i have a link to me Ko-Fi on my intro post as well! really any support is welcome, but i'm trying to figure out how to do commissions and pricing and stuff since it'll be the first time i *officially* do them. i hope you'll think about it though!!

hate going for christian weddings sometimes because i always see the prettiest women with the ugliest men, the sermon is always some shit about wives being slaves (but not like bad slavery, mutual slavery except the husband is a benevolent master which makes it okay) and making babies for their husband, the music is always lame, the mc is always weird and obnoxious, and older women keep fucking asking me when it's gonna be my turn and never take no for an answer.

Gyges and Candaules from Herodotus’ Histories (book 1)

I don’t know if this counts because the genre they’re from is theoretically history but actually lots of it’s made up anyway and they died pre-500 BC so….. anyway I think the whole thing is super gay and want people to vindicate me on that.

Here’s my translation of the slightly adapted ancient Greek text for the large majority of people who won’t know them:

Candaules (king of Lydia) thought that his wife was the most beautiful of all women. Candaules also had a certain bodyguard called Gyges. The king would entrust his most serious affairs to him, and often praised his wife’s beauty. Not long later (for it was fated that doom should come to Candaules), he said this to Gyges: “O Gyges, you do not seem to believe me when I say that my wife is the most beautiful of women. People’s ears are less trustworthy than their eyes; therefore, you must see her naked.” Gyges shouted: “O master, what are you saying, ordering me to see my mistress naked!? For at the same time I would remove her modesty. I believe you when you say those things about your wife. You can in no way order me to do something so unjust.”

As Gyges spoke thus, he was very afraid. But Candaules answered him: “Take heart, o Gyges. Fear neither me nor the woman, for you must try and do as I say. I will arrange everything so that the woman does not learn that you are there. During the day I will bring you into the bedroom where we lie. After, she will come to bed. Near the door of the bedroom there is a chair where she will put all of her clothes as she takes them off, and you will be able to watch her at your leisure. When she turns away and goes onto the bed, you must make sure she does not see you leave the room.” Since Gyges could not escape he agreed. Candaules, when he thought it was bedtime, brought Gyges into the room. His wife immediately followed, and when she had come in and was taking off her clothes Gyges watched her. When she turned her back to him to go onto the bed, he left the room.

The woman saw him as he went out and understood what Candaules had done. The next day she sent one of her most trusted slaves to fetch Gyges (who did not suspect anything since he was used to attend on the queen) and said to him: “Now, O Gyges, you have two paths before you and you must choose which to follow. For either you must kill Candaules and become the king of Lydia, or you must die. For you to obey all of Candaules’ commands and see what you should not is forbidden. One of you must die: either you, who have seen me naked, or he, the one who planned this.” Gyges at first was astonished and said that in no way could he choose between the options the woman had presented. But when he saw that he could not avoid it, either to kill his master or himself, he chose his own life. “Since you are making me kill my master I would like to know how you will have me do it.” She replied: “From the same place you saw me naked, you must strike him when he is asleep.”

When they had planned this, Gyges followed the woman into the bedroom (for she would not release him and either he or Candaules must die). He hid behind the same door and killed Candaules as he slept: so he made himself master of Candaules’ wife and his kingdom.

With just a tad more consent this could have been a “we saw you across the bar and really like your vibe” kind of situation…. Also as I first translated it I made a mistake and thought Gyges was wearing a disguise and imagined him in a maid outfit to blend in with the palace staff in her room, so do with that what you will. Also the use of the terms master and mistress is in the original but does sound super gay. (Not necessarily with all the context and stuff but like. Ancient Greece was a weird fuckin place man.)

this isn't really the usual vibe of this blog but yeah sure, fuck it, this is a fun story

Gyges and Candaules

Your frozen hash brown treat sounds banger 😩

it comes courtesy of stoned em with no snacks in the house just a bag of frozen hash browns. i tried it again when i was sober and said "oh shit no this SLAPS" and while it takes about 15 minutes, it's literally

heat vegetable/canola oil in a pan (i just eyeball it because the instructions on the bag are for like a half bag and i have a tiny pan/can't eat that much. i like to cover the bottom of the pan and then add just a little more)

add frozen hash browns/seasoning (once again i use special shit but use literally whatever you want. make your own concoction if you so desire)

wait 6 minutes (can either vibe to music or scroll tumblr/tiktok/whatever. no real supervision required)

flip/stir (because they never stick together like they're allegedly supposed to)

wait 6 more minutes (continue previous activities)

check for ideal crispiness (i like personally to see a nice browning but i don't want to be crunching the whole time)

add cheese (as i said in my tags i use processed american cheese bc it gets nice and gooey. i do one slice and break it into quarters for maximum coverage)

once it gets to proper meltiness, transfer to plate and add hot sauce to your heart's desire.

even when i don't feel like cooking, i can manage to stand in the kitchen long enough to throw this together because it's worth it 100% of the time

After saving the land before them Zelda and link were tied and they need to sleep. So they went on there Horse to the Village to Link’s house. As Zelda was so happy she was also glad to know that all that had happened was all in the past.

Zelda was so happy to not be in the Castle trying to stay awake. Everything was fine now she was with Link. When they got about 4 hours away Zelda saw that there were some people out in the distance. She had not seen people in forever she said to link to set up camp for the night and she would go talk to the people and she would come back with some food so they could cook.

Link looked at the people in concern I will be fine just go set up camp he nodded his head. Zelda loved to see the blue sky and the birds and the sway of the grass she never wanted to it to end. When she started talking to the people they were a little of but she just thought that they were excited to see her they just offered bananas to her. All at once she remembered that Link told her about a Yiga clans they would look like a normal person but they were not.

she screamed “Link” he came running at full speed and right on time the Yiga clan members were not the week kind but the much harder to kill ones. One did have a bow though Link killed the one with a sword first but the one with a bow was so fast Link told Zelda to run back to camp she didn’t want to leave him alone but she went behind a big rocks and hid.

Zelda Hurd nothing but a sweet sound of a little bird chirping in the distance. Then she heard a scream it sounded like a link she ran all the way to him the Yiga was not dead but it retreated because it has fulfill its duties. It had shot Link right in the chest with his bow 4 times he was wheezing and gasping for air. Link grabbed two of the arrows and pulled them out. Zelda squinted with fear she knew that it needed to be tended to right away. But all she had was bananas and a small cloth she was watching him grab the other two arrows and he was pulling them out. He Was in a great amount of pain. She tried to talk to him for the very first time she said “ we need to get you to a stable first but we then will rush to Hatnao village”. Link tried to speak but the pain took over.

“shh you need to save your strength right now” Zelda said. She could tell that he Was in A lot of pain. Blood started to turn his clothes red and Zelda new that she will need to hurry or he wouldn’t make it! she said to him can you get on the horse he said. I-can try-to get on…. She was getting so worried that he wouldn’t be able to make it. She helped him get on the horse and they started to ride.

after about an hour or so it started to get worse they were about 20 minutes away from the staple. And he fell off his horse Zelda jumped off and rushed to the side. He was Groaning with pain as much more blood came out. At this time he was as white as the cloud He was barely breathing and struggling when he was. They finally got to a stable she found some cloth and wiped off the wound with some water. He was wincing with pain she didn’t want it to be painful but she wanted to be clean.

she turned one of the horses in so they could ride together in and he can rest. Zelda did not notice how much blood he had Lost buddy was struggling because of the blood loss they were almost to the village about only 30 minutes away when it started to get worse blood was rushing out now and Zelda was worried. The time before his eyes were open but his eyes started the clothes slowly.

Zelda knew it had to be because of blood loss or was that the reason she turned around and stop the horse she put her hand to Link’s for head he had a very high fever. She knew that the fever was going to cause some pain and some discomfort but she knew she had to get to the village that was all of her concern. when she made it to the village people came running out of their houses link was not awake anymore so They took him to his house and laid him down on the bed. Zelda fell asleep on the bedside Well they tend to his wounds.

She was still very worried for him but than her friend pura came in she said check it her normal thing she looked at link and said what happened Zelda explain to the story as pura made some food on the stove for when he woke up and fore them of course. They talked for hours then Link woke up wai-r am I… don’t worry you’re in your house he fell back asleep after about 20 minutes he was obviously exhausted from blood loss and a fever. After he was all better and able to walk again I Zelda and him continue their adventures as one! The end.
