Just watched the new trailer for titans s4 and am in love with the concept that “Lex Luthor is the only man Bruce Wayne is afraid of”. Because number one, Bruce Wayne is terrified of absolutely everything absolutely all of the time. That’s kind of a vital character trait. And second, if there was one person or thing, in the entire multiverse, that Bruce Wayne is not scared of it would be Lex Luthor. You think he’s afraid of a man who could realistically be done in by Blue Beetle II? Be for real.

if you took a language class in school (any level, any language) did your instructor assign you a name from that language? like, when i took french in high school i was assigned a "french name" that i had to use in that class. did anyone else experience this?

#my french teacher was batshit insane so usually i'd chalk it up to that but all the other teachers did it too #that's really fucking weird right?#also for context. i do have a degree in teaching english to speakers of other languages like i do understand language learning theory #but i don't see any rationale for this that makes sense

I love how Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse said “Anyone can be Spider-Man”. I love how it inspired everyone to imagine their own Spider-People, saving the day in their own universes, with all kinds of cool, interesting personalities and aesthetics and mutations and life stories and relationships. We all put pieces of our soul into these homemade heroes. We had fun. We found community. And then Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse said, “Wow, great job! You’ve really taken our message to heart. Well, get ready for even more of everything you liked from the first movie and a new message to complement the first. Anyone can be Spider-Man… and anyone can be pulled into a cult.”

So now we all have to contemplate whether our lovingly crafted heroes would ever be on Team Mandatory Trauma Because Martyr Complex or not and why.
