50 ONE LEVEL CAREERS: Storytelling careers megapack by isy's the snake
Tumblr media
Here is yet another career mod pack, but this one has no promotions, you just work and your job level stays at 1. As the title say this mod is best for story telling!
creator's notes-
This mod requires XML Injector by Scumbumbo. You can find it here. Pay attention if you don't already have it for another mod! In that case, you do not need to re-install it. Be sure it is updated for the last patch.
XML Injector is a mod required for some mods to work. So, you install it as any other mod in your Mods folder, no more than one subfolder deep.
This mod has been updated for the version 1.99.305 of the game (second update after Horse Ranch).
It doesn't required any DLC to work. Base game compatible
I've adopted this mod from the amazing ItsKatato who, due to her hiring at EA, couldn't continue to mod. I have made some changes: • I have changes all the pics of the careers — now they all show Sims (please check the credits paragraph at the end to see who was the amazing raccoon who helped me); • I have updated the mod for the Horse Ranch patch; • I have cleared ALL the tuning errors; • Fixed the description of some careers who appeared to be missing.
Now, here we go with the explanation of the mod (originally written by ItsKatato, edited by me):
Katato said: "Have you ever had a story planned out for your sims but you can't find the perfect career for them? Most of the time when I find the career it ends up being a complicated career with a bunch of promotion tasks and extra stuff. Well, I've made a pack of a bunch of single-level careers. All your sim has to do is go to work, that's it. This is perfect for the non-important sims in your life, like the forgotten children of your legacy challenge." In short: those are 50 careers you can use for NPCs Sims or random Sims you do not want to care about. As Amethyst said: "Go to work, make money, leave me alone". Your Sims won't need any task to perform to upgrade and get a promotion, as well as they do not really need an ideal mood to go to work since it won't change their performance. They just go and do their job. And now the list of all careers:
1. Anesthetiologist 2. Cartographer 3. Chiropractor 4. Compliance Officer 5. Data Scientist 6. Dental Hygienist 7. Dentist 8. Diagnostic Medical Sonographer 9. Financial Advisor 10. Financial Manager 11. Genereal Surgeon 12. Genetic Counselor 13. Home Health Aide 14. Information Security Analyst 15. IT Manager 16. Interpreter And Translator 17. Lawyer 18. Marriage And Family Therapist 19. Massage Therapist 20. Mathematician 21. Mechanical Engineer 22. Medical And Health Services Manager 23. Nurse Anesthetist 24. Nurse Practitioner 25. Obstetrician And Gynecologist 26. Occupational Therapist 27. Operations Reasearch Analyst 28. Optometrist 29. Oral And Maxillofacial Surgeon 30. Orthodontist 31. Orthotist And Prosthetist 32. Paralegal 33. Pediatrician 34. Personal Care Aide 35. Phlebotomist 36. Physical Therapist 37. Physical Therapist Assistant 38. Physician 39. Physician Assistant 40. Pilot 41. Podiatrist 42. lets give some of our love and support to isy!

Because I've seen people talking about BDS boycotts and differentiating between consumer boycotts and applying institutional pressure, I think it's worth mentioning that pressuring tactics can just as easily be used against the targets of consumer boycotts. Look at what you're poised to do in your own life (what systems do you engage in? What groups of people do you meet or work with?) and apply some creativity.
Do you work in a grocery store? Talk to your union about refusing to handle Israeli produce.
Do you work in a restaurant, or know anyone who runs one? Talk to management about finding out who supplies your produce.
Do you work anywhere that uses computers that are regularly upgraded? Talk to your union about demanding computers from companies that don't provide demographics software to Israel (i.e. HP).
Do you or anyone in your family or church plan to go on a pilgrimage to Bethlehem (thus giving money to Israel, who controls the borders and hires the tour guides)? Don't go, and convince everyone you can not to either; get everyone you can to sign an open letter to your church; &c.
Are you in a fan group for an artist who plans to tour (or otherwise profit from showing material) in Israel? Don't go to any of the shows on that tour, or stream the video from the tour, or buy the album. Get everyone you can to sign an open letter to the artist and also pledge to boycott their related work.
These are examples based on fields I don't know anything about; you will be the best judge of what is possible and helpful to do in your own life. Consult union and activist advocacy lawyers, &c.

Abeba has done it again - highest GPA, on the fast track to make Junior partner before she even moved into her desk at the law firm. Her parents, Ephrem and Mazaa are over the moon.
She will be taking a position in international law to help refugees and people who cannot afford to pay with immigration issues. She also secured a grant so that she can offer her services pro bono. Now to find a home for her and her Fiancée Baldwin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Baldwin Levesque
Computer Science Major / Young Innovators in Tech Award Recipient 🥇/ Valadictorian
Baldwin has hit the ground running - he’s already begun working for Meditech ™️ and is on the fast track to running his own team. He’ll be creating medical software that will play a role in medical surgery. Needless to say, his mother Xio is beyond pleased. His father Manu and his sister Zora are proud, but expected nothing less.
He and his fiancé Abeba just have one task aside from wedding plans – finding a home.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Micah Broussard
Journalism Major / Writer, Foxbury Insider
He made it, y’all. His parents, Bruce & Esther had their fingers crossed most of the time, but we’re here.
Although he originally wanted to be a sports journalist (if you’ve been following along, you know why… but let’s not bring her up right now), but thanks to his professor, he decided to go down the novelist path, while working for a digital paper in the meantime.
Now that he’s about to be a father, this suits him just fine. It will give him time to bring in a steady paycheck while working on his first book. Lucky for him, there are plenty of writers in the family to help guide him through the process. And Bubbe Ida and his sisters Shalom & Noa pie, of course.
Next up? Finish moving, baby shower, wedding. Possibly in that order.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alma Ramos
Journalism Major / Editor-In-Chief, Foxybury Insider / Latina Writer’s Guild / Foxbury
Granted, this is not how Alma saw her Uni experience ending. However, as all writers know, some of the best experiences are the plot twists. And maybe this is just a detour; plenty of young mothers manage to raise their children and have careers. She has a loving, committed partner in Micah, so anything is possible. Not to mention a strong family in her Abuelo Luis, her Tia Benni and her prima Yadira and Ya’s fiancée Ciara.

DND AU: families!
- Blue is a child of divorce and lives with his mom, a criminal defense lawyer, in a townhouse (basically a big apartment). His next door neighbor is Erune, and he was babysat by her granny often, so they’re pretty close.
- Red and Vio’s parents are somewhat distant from their kids and really into their job of being dentists. They live in a relatively nice, big house, and Red has a cat named Miss Fairy, a white longhair.
- Green moved from the big city recently once his dads (he has two) decided to retire from police work when dad #1 was left severely injured. They have a service dog, a golden retriever named Captain. Green and the twins are next door neighbors.
- Shadow and Zelda were adopted by a nice Sheikah couple. Their mom is stay-at-home, and their dad is a software developer. They live in a nearby neighborhood in a smaller house.
- the entire DND gang lives in Hateno currently. Blue was born in Lurelin but doesn’t remember much, Red and Vio are Labrynnian immigrants, and Shadow’s parents lived in Kakariko before moving to Hateno shortly before adopting him and Zelda. Green lived in Castle City most of his life and only recently got settled in Hateno.

Dash Baxter was a winner, in every way. He'd always been the biggest, toughest kid in his grade. He was good at football, could climb the highest trees, run the fastest, and he was handsome too, with All-American good looks that the ladies appreciated.
His parents were well-off too, if not exactly rich. Their respectable, boring careers (lawyer, software engineer) paid for a house that was large, and everyone who could drive had their own car, including a brand new sports car for Dash when he turned 16.
These things made him popular. He had everything a guy could want, and then some. You might think a guy like that would be gracious—what reason would he to have malice towards any?
But Dash was full of hate, especially for one Danny Fenton.
See, on the outside, it looked like Dash had everything and Danny had nothing. Danny was from a family of freaks—professional ghost hunters, who were more like professional laughing stocks. Dash half-suspected the town paid them a salary for their comic relief qualities, as they bumbled and ranted and were generally amusing nuisances.
They certainly weren't well-off, or if they were, they weren't giving it freely to Danny so that he could dress stylishly or be a generous gift-giver to friends or anything else that might help buy him popularity.
Danny wasn't tall, or broad of shoulder, or even possessing wiry muscular strength. He was scrawny, puny, weak and pathetic. His looks weren't admirable or All-American, although his big baby blue eyes were fringed with long, thick black lashes and his slender, pointed face had a delicate beauty—those were traits better placed in girls. Danny couldn't play any sport well, not even sissy ones like volleyball. He was an uncoordinated klutz with no stamina.
So why did Dash hate this boy, this loser who seemed to have nothing? It was because he had the one thing Dash didn't. Friends—real friends, that is. Danny had nothing to offer Manson and Foley. And yet they liked him anyway, stuck by him when they would have been better served dumping him like old garbage.
Who did Dash have that would stick by him like that? If his parents went bankrupt, if his looks were disfigured in a terrible accident, if, God forbid, he could no longer play sports? Would Kwan or Dale or Paulina give him the time of day?
Going by how they treated Valerie, they'd abandon him like rats.
And for that, he hated Fenton.

Several Uvalde families are suing Daniel Defense, the gun company whose AR-15 style rifle an 18-year-old gunman used to kill 19 children and two teachers and injure several others at Robb Elementary two years ago, lawyers said.
The family members of victims Friday also filed a separate lawsuit against California-based companies Meta — the parent company of Instagram and Facebook — and Activision, whose best-selling video game Call of Duty features Daniel Defense guns.
The lawsuits together will argue that the three companies marketed semi-automatic weapons to the Uvalde gunman before he was 18, accusing them of negligence and wrongful death. The shooter purchased firearms shortly after he turned 18 years old and then used one of those guns to carry out the deadliest school shooting in Texas history.
In Texas, 18-year-olds can legally purchase long guns such as rifles.
Josh Koskoff, an attorney representing the Uvalde families, says there was a direct line between the companies' conduct and the Uvalde shooting.
“Just 23 minutes after midnight on his 18th birthday, the Uvalde shooter bought an AR-15 made by a company with a market share of less than one percent,” Koskoff said in a statement. “Why? Because, well before he was old enough to purchase it, he was targeted and cultivated online by Instagram, Activision and Daniel Defense. This three-headed monster knowingly exposed him to the weapon, conditioned him to see it as a tool to solve his problems and trained him to use it.”
The lawsuits come on the two-year anniversary of the shooting.
Attorneys argue that Daniel Defense intentionally markets its weapons to adolescents and uses platforms including Instagram and first-person shooter games like Call of Duty to promote criminal use of their weapons.
They add that Instagram provides an unsupervised channel to speak directly to adolescent boys because of what attorneys say are flimsy and easily circumvented rules meant to prohibit firearm advertising to children.
The lawsuit against Daniel Defense is expected to be filed in Texas’ 38th District Court in Uvalde County on behalf of 31 family members of the victims. It accuses Daniel Defense of courting the shooter with marketing that lures adolescents into forming an attachment with its brand of AR-15s, particularly its flagship DDM4v7.
The lawsuit against Activision and Meta was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on behalf of approximately 45 family members of the deceased and injured victims. It accuses the gaming company of desensitizing young men to acts of mass violence and grooming them to seek out weapons like those featured in Call of Duty. An Activision spokesperson did not respond to questions about the allegations in the lawsuit but issued a statement expressing their condolences to the victims’ families.
“The Uvalde shooting was horrendous and heartbreaking in every way, and we express our deepest sympathies to the families and communities who remain impacted by this senseless act of violence,” the spokesperson said. “Millions of people around the world enjoy video games without turning to horrific acts.”
However, the Entertainment Software Association, which represents top publishers in the gaming industry, denounced efforts to blame video games for real-life acts of violence.
“We are saddened and outraged by senseless acts of violence,” said an association spokesperson. “At the same time, we discourage baseless accusations linking these tragedies to video gameplay, which detract from efforts to focus on the root issues in question and safeguard against future tragedies. Many other countries have similar rates of video gameplay to the United States, yet do not see similar rates of gun violence.”
Representatives for Daniel Defense and Meta did not respond to emailed requests for comment.
While Instagram prohibits the marketing of firearms on its platform, the lawsuit claims Instagram fails to enforce firearm guidelines while rigorously enforcing other types of content guidelines.
The Uvalde families’ legal action appears to follow a similar playbook that Koskoff, a Connecticut attorney, successfully employed in his home state, where he helped victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting win a $73 million settlement in a lawsuit against the maker of the AR-15 style rifle used in that school shooting.
That settlement was widely considered a setback for the firearms industry, which has broad legal immunity from civil complaints. A 2005 law enacted by Congress shields gun companies from liability for crimes committed using their weapons. Koskoff’s team worked around that by successfully arguing that the gun company could be sued under a consumer protection state law, through an exception to the federal law.
Over the course of the Connecticut case, documents came out through the discovery process showing that gun company Remington has a licensing agreement with Activision. It is not clear if such an agreement exists between Daniel Defense and Activision.
A 2019 Instagram post from Daniel Defense says “Call of Duty Modern Warfare launched today” and shows a photo of the type of rifle used in the Uvalde shooting.
Other Instagram posts from Daniel Defense show videos of young men actively firing the company’s rifle. A 2020 Instagram post shows an image of someone taking a gun out of the trunk of their car and the words “refuse to be a victim.”
“Gun companies like Daniel Defense don’t act alone,” Koskoff said. “AR-15s were available when many of us were growing up, but we didn’t have mass shootings by kids. What has changed is that companies like Instagram and Activision do more than just allow gun companies to reach consumers–they underwrite and mainstream violence to struggling adolescents.”
This is not the first lawsuit families have filed against Daniel Defense. Uvalde victims’ families previously filed two lawsuits against the Georgia-based gun manufacturer, alleging that the company intentionally marketed its AR-15 rifles to young males in ways that “encourage the illegal and dangerous misuse” of its weapons.
Daniel Defense has sought to dismiss those lawsuits, which were filed in federal court and remain ongoing.
In the two years since the Robb Elementary School shooting, state and local law enforcement officers have been heavily criticized for their response to the massacre. Hundreds of law enforcement officers descended upon the school and waited for more than an hour to confront the gunman, who shot indiscriminately inside two fourth grade classrooms.
The botched response was the subject of a U.S. Department of Justice report and a scathing Texas House Committee investigation. A grand jury convened by Uvalde District Attorney Christina Mitchell could determine whether any federal, state and local officers are criminally charged.
On Wednesday, Uvalde families — represented by Koskoff — filed a lawsuit against 92 Texas Department of Public Safety Officers. They also announced a $2 million settlement with the city of Uvalde. During a press briefing on the day of that announcement, Koskoff foreshadowed that additional lawsuits would be filed on behalf of Uvalde families, including some lawsuits focusing on the time period before the shooting.
“There has been, appropriately, so much of a focus on law enforcement,” Koskoff told reporters earlier this week. “And, I think it’s appropriate to remember that they are at the end of the road.”
Koskoff noted that the 610-page DOJ report included “not a single page on why the shooting happened in the first place.”
The number of semi-automatic rifles, which include AR-15s, produced or imported in the U.S. have increased significantly since the 1990s. AR-15-style rifles weren’t used in mass shootings until 2007, according to a database kept by Mother Jones. In 2022, gunmen used an AR-15 rifle in 67% of the 12 massacres that year.
The AR-15 was designed in the late 1950s as a military-style rifle.
Officers who responded to the Robb Elementary School shooting feared the rifle and decided to not immediately confront the gunman, a Texas Tribune investigation found. Officers instead waited for a Border Patrol SWAT team based 60 miles away to arrive.
Uvalde families pushed the state Legislature to pass a bill to raise the minimum age for buying certain semi-automatic rifles from 18 to 21. That bill failed to pass in the Republican-controlled Legislature that has spent years loosening gun laws, making it easier for Texans to get guns in a state whose residents have a strong fealty to the Second Amendment.

The post about the Reddit thread where the religious family ignored their estranged gay brother’s will and stole all his money crossed my feed again, and I was just thinking about that. It feels like a majority of Americans have one of two attitudes towards the legal profession:
“Yes, I know that this [law/contract] literally and directly says ‘don’t put toxic waste in the refrigerator’ but I have this toxic waste here and I need a container to put it in and the refrigerator is right there so obviously they couldn’t have been talking about me.”
“Oh my god, lawyers are witches, if you don’t read the fine print in a contract they can literally have you deported!”
Both of these are annoying (and sometimes dangerous to deal with) but what is absolutely infuriating is that the legal profession regularly does stuff which encourages both of these ideas.
Like, our ridiculous gun problem in the US comes down to the Supreme Court having spent decades deciding that somebody who stockpiles unlicensed and unsecured weapons until at some point they or one of their family members goes on a rampage in a school or a business is “a well-regulated militia”. The law can literally say “[Thing A] is illegal” and the Supreme Court will come up with a way to claim that actually, no, [Thing A] is legal, it’s only [Thing B], which is not [Thing A] at all, which is actually illegal, because [Thing A] is something rich people want to do whereas [Thing B] is either something poor people might do or else is something which is hypothetically possible but which nobody would ever want to do unless they were specifically trying to break the law after this judgement.
And of course every contract that you encounter tends to contain things which are probably unenforceable overreach (software licenses and NDAs are good examples) but to be certain about what they really could sue you for means either a lot of tedious research or a consultation with an expensive specialized lawyer. How can you ever trust that contracts aren’t witchcraft when the Disney legal team can argue in court — without, apparently, having to worry that they will be disbarred over it — that the terms of service for Disney’s video streaming service will let Disney-owned restaurants poison you to death without significant penalty? Just running through any list of notable corporate lawsuits will give you a list of claims made by lawyers which are so ridiculous that they would justify almost any level of paranoia.

the shrinking middle class
fucked up. really fucked up tbh.
i know a lot of people who have accused me of being like greedy and an evil capitalist for wanting to go into medicine which is like ????. (i am going into veterinary science btw)
it is genuinely so fucked up and so bad that the middle class has been shrinking because it alters people's view of what it means to live a 'normal' or 'average' life. my family is middle class rn and has been for as long as i can remember but there's a time from before that where i realize that my parents were not always middle class. why do we think that it is normal to be one unplanned medical bill away from homelessness. why do we think being able to afford a mortgage on a house is only for the wealthy. it used to not be that way. doctors and lawyers and software engineers make a lot of money but they are not elites; they are not your enemies. the shrinking of the middle class skews our perception of what average is, and as a result has caused us to improperly point fingers at each other for who is to blame, ultimately distracting us from the issue at hand.

Accountability is the bedrock of trust. Without it, society crumbles, professions falter, and relationships decay. The principle of "hue and cry" — raising an alarm when a wrong is witnessed — is a timeless method to uphold this crucial standard. By holding people accountable, we maintain the integrity of our communities and the reliability of our professions.
In the family, accountability fosters respect and honesty. When a family member acts against shared values, addressing it directly ensures everyone understands the importance of these values. This might be as simple as reminding a child to complete their chores or discussing with a sibling about keeping commitments. Such actions, though small, reinforce the fabric of familial trust.
Among friends, accountability strengthens bonds. If a friend behaves irresponsibly, it’s important to speak up. This doesn’t mean confrontation but rather expressing concern and suggesting better choices. When friends hold each other to high standards, it nurtures a supportive and reliable circle.
In the workplace, accountability is indispensable. Professions such as medicine, law, and engineering demand the highest standards of trustworthiness. Imagine a scenario where a doctor notices a colleague neglecting hygiene protocols. By addressing this issue, the doctor not only upholds professional standards but also protects patients. Similarly, a lawyer must ensure peers adhere to ethical practices, safeguarding justice and the profession's reputation.
Holding colleagues accountable can sometimes be challenging, but it’s essential for maintaining a trustworthy work environment. For example, in the tech industry, if a software engineer notices a peer cutting corners in code review, speaking up ensures the integrity of the product and the team's reliability. This culture of accountability leads to better outcomes and a stronger, more cohesive team.
In every facet of life, from personal relationships to professional duties, accountability ensures that standards are met and trust is maintained. By embracing the principle of hue and cry, we contribute to a society where honesty, integrity, and reliability are not just expected but ensured.

Azuka Amucha Shares Time Management Strategies for Busy Lawyers
Tumblr media
In the demanding world of law, time management is not just a skill—it's a necessity. Lawyers often juggle multiple cases, client meetings, court appearances, and a seemingly endless stream of paperwork. Without effective time management strategies, the risk of burnout is high. Azuka Amucha, an experienced attorney, understands these challenges and offers practical, actionable advice to help busy lawyers regain control over their time and improve their work-life balance.
1. Prioritize Tasks
One of the most effective ways to manage a heavy workload is to prioritize tasks. Amucha suggests starting each day by identifying the top three tasks that must be completed. These tasks should align with your most pressing deadlines or the highest-impact activities. By focusing on these key priorities, you can ensure that the most important work gets done, even if the day doesn’t go as planned. This approach also helps reduce the stress of trying to do everything at once, allowing you to concentrate on what truly matters.
2. Delegate Effectively
Delegation is another critical component of time management. Many lawyers feel the need to handle every detail themselves, but this can lead to inefficiency and burnout. Amucha advises lawyers to delegate administrative and routine tasks to paralegals or support staff. This not only frees up time for more complex legal work but also empowers your team and improves overall productivity. Effective delegation involves clear communication and trust in your team's abilities, ensuring that tasks are completed to a high standard.
3. Time Blocking
Time blocking is a strategy where you allocate specific time slots for different activities throughout the day. For example, you might set aside blocks of time for client calls, research, drafting documents, and court preparation. By organizing your day in this way, you minimize distractions and create a focused environment for each task. Amucha emphasizes the importance of sticking to these blocks as much as possible to avoid the inefficiencies that come with constant task-switching.
4. Leverage Technology
In today’s digital age, technology can be a lawyer’s best friend. Tools like case management software, digital calendars, and task management apps can streamline your workflow and help you stay on top of deadlines. Amucha encourages lawyers to embrace these tools to automate routine processes, organize tasks, and improve communication with clients and colleagues. Leveraging technology effectively can save hours each week, allowing you to focus on more strategic aspects of your practice.
5. Set Boundaries
Finally, setting boundaries is crucial for maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Lawyers often find themselves working long hours, which can lead to burnout. Amucha advises setting clear limits on after-hours work and making time for personal interests and family. This might mean turning off work emails after a certain time or dedicating weekends to rest and recharge. By setting these boundaries, you can ensure that your personal life doesn’t suffer at the expense of your professional responsibilities.

Andy Kroll and Nick Surgey at ProPublica:
A network of ultrawealthy Christian donors is spending nearly $12 million to mobilize Republican-leaning voters and purge more than a million people from the rolls in key swing states, aiming to tilt the 2024 election in favor of former President Donald Trump. These previously unreported plans are the work of a group named Ziklag, a little-known charity whose donors have included some of the wealthiest conservative Christian families in the nation, including the billionaire Uihlein family, who made a fortune in office supplies, the Greens, who run Hobby Lobby, and the Wallers, who own the Jockey apparel corporation. Recipients of Ziklag’s largesse include Alliance Defending Freedom, which is the Christian legal group that led the overturning of Roe v. Wade, plus the national pro-Trump group Turning Point USA and a constellation of right-of-center advocacy groups.
[...]
Ziklag’s 2024 agenda reads like the work of a political organization. It plans to pour money into mobilizing voters in Arizona who are “sympathetic to Republicans” in order to secure “10,640 additional unique votes” — almost the exact margin of President Joe Biden’s win there in 2020. The group also intends to use controversial AI software to enable mass challenges to the eligibility of hundreds of thousands of voters in competitive states. In a recording of a 2023 internal strategy discussion, a Ziklag official stressed that the objective was the same in other swing states. “The goal is to win,” the official said. “If 75,000 people wins the White House, then how do we get 150,000 people so we make sure we win?”
According to the Ziklag files, the group has divided its 2024 activities into three different operations targeting voters in battleground states: Checkmate, focused on funding so-called election integrity groups; Steeplechase, concentrated on using churches and pastors to get out the vote; and Watchtower, aimed at galvanizing voters around the issues of “parental rights” and opposition to transgender rights and policies supporting health care for trans people. In a member briefing video, one of Ziklag’s spiritual advisers outlined a plan to “deliver swing states” by using an anti-transgender message to motivate conservative voters who are exhausted with Trump.
But Ziklag is not a political organization: It is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity, the same legal designation as the United Way or Boys and Girls Club. Such organizations do not have to publicly disclose their funders, and donations are tax deductible. In exchange, they are “absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office,” according to the IRS. ProPublica and Documented presented the findings of their investigation to six nonpartisan lawyers and legal experts. All expressed concern that Ziklag was testing or violating the law. The reporting by ProPublica and Documented “casts serious doubt on this organization’s status as a 501(c)(3) organization,” said Roger Colinvaux, a professor at Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law.
[...]
“Dominion Over the Seven Mountains”
Ziklag has largely escaped scrutiny until now. The group describes itself as a “private, confidential, invitation-only community of high-net-worth Christian families.” According to internal documents, it boasts more than 125 members that include business executives, pastors, media leaders and other prominent conservative Christians. Potential new members, one document says, should have a “concern for culture” demonstrated by past donations to faith-based or political causes, as well as a net worth of $25 million or more. None of the donors responded to requests for comment.
Tax records show rapid growth in the group’s finances in recent years. Its annual revenue climbed from $1.3 million in 2018 to $6 million in 2019 and nearly $12 million in 2022, which is the latest filing available. The group’s spending is not on the scale of major conservative funders such as Miriam Adelson or Barre Seid, the electronics magnate who gave $1.6 billion to a group led by conservative legal activist Leonard Leo. But its funding and strategy represent one of the clearest links yet between the Christian right and the “election integrity” movement fueled by Trump’s baseless claims about voting fraud. Even several million dollars funding mass challenges to voters in swing counties can make an impact, legal and election experts say.
Ziklag was the brainchild of a Silicon Valley entrepreneur named Ken Eldred. It emerged from a previous organization founded by Eldred called United In Purpose, which aimed to get more Christians active in the civic arena, according to Bill Dallas, the group’s former director. United In Purpose generated attention in June 2016 when it organized a major meeting between then-candidate Trump and hundreds of evangelical leaders.
After Trump was elected in 2016, Eldred had an idea, according to Dallas. “He says, ‘I want all the wealthy Christian people to come together,’” Dallas recalled in an interview. Eldred told Dallas that he wanted to create a donor network like the one created by Charles and David Koch but for Christians. He proposed naming it David’s Mighty Men, Dallas said. Female members balked. Dallas found the passage in Chronicles that references David’s soldiers and read that they met in the city of Ziklag, and so they chose the name Ziklag.
The group’s stature grew after Trump took office. Vice President Mike Pence appeared at a Ziklag event, as did former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson, Sen. Ted Cruz, then-Rep. Mark Meadows and other members of Congress. In its private newsletter, Ziklag claims that a coalition of groups it assembled played “a hugely significant role in the selection, hearings and confirmation process” of Amy Coney Barrett for a Supreme Court seat in late 2020.
Confidential donor networks regularly invest hundreds of millions of dollars into political and charitable groups, from the liberal Democracy Alliance to the Koch-affiliated Stand Together organization on the right. But unlike Ziklag, neither of those organizations is legally set up as a true charity. Ziklag appears to be the first coordinated effort to get wealthy donors to fund an overtly Christian nationalist agenda, according to historians, legal experts and other people familiar with the group. “It shows that this idea isn’t being dismissed as fringe in the way that it might have been in the past,” said Mary Ziegler, a legal historian and University of California, Davis law professor. The Christian nationalism movement has a variety of aims and tenets, according to the Public Religion Research Institute: that the U.S. government “should declare America a Christian nation”; that American laws “should be based on Christian values”; that the U.S. will cease to exist as a nation if it “moves away from our Christian foundations”; that being Christian is essential to being American; and that God has “called Christians to exercise dominion over all areas of American society.”
One theology promoted by Christian nationalist leaders is the Seven Mountain Mandate. Each mountain represents a major industry or a sphere of public life: arts and media, business, church, education, family, government, and science and technology. Ziklag’s goal, the documents say, is to “take dominion over the Seven Mountains,” funding Christian projects or installing devout Christians in leadership positions to reshape each mountain in a godly way. To address their concerns about education, Ziklag’s leaders and allies have focused on the public-school system. In a 2021 Ziklag meeting, Ziklag’s education mountain chair, Peter Bohlinger, said that Ziklag’s goal “is to take down the education system as we know it today.” The producers of the film “Sound of Freedom,” featuring Jim Caviezel as an anti-sex-trafficking activist, screened an early cut of the film at a Ziklag conference and asked for funds, according to Dallas.
[...] A driving force behind Ziklag’s efforts is Lance Wallnau, a prominent Christian evangelist and influencer based in Texas who is described by Ziklag as a “Seven Mountains visionary & advisor.” The fiery preacher is one of the most influential figures on the Christian right, experts say, a bridge between Christian nationalism and Trump. He was one of the earliest evangelical leaders to endorse Trump in 2015 and later published a book titled “God’s Chaos Candidate: Donald J. Trump and the American Unraveling.” More than 1 million people follow him on Facebook. He doesn’t try to hide his views: “Yes, I am a Christian nationalist,” he said during one of his livestreams in 2021. (Wallnau did not respond to requests for comment.)
[...]
“Operation Checkmate”
In the fall of 2023, Wallnau sat in a gray armchair in his TV studio. A large TV screen behind him flashed a single word: “ZIKLAG.” “You almost hate to put it out this clearly,” he said as he detailed Ziklag’s electoral strategy, “because if somebody else gets ahold of this, they’ll freak out.” He was joined on set by Hiss, who had just become the group’s new day-to-day leader. The two men were there to record a special message to Ziklag members that laid out the group’s ambitious plans for the upcoming election year. The forces arrayed against Christians were many, according to the confidential video. They were locked in a “spiritual battle,” Hiss said, against Democrats who were a “radical left Marxist force.” Biden, Wallnau said, was a senile old man and “an empty suit with an agenda that’s written and managed by somebody else.”
[...] A prominent conservative getting money from Ziklag is Cleta Mitchell, a lawyer and Trump ally who joined the January 2021 phone call when then-President Trump asked Georgia’s secretary of state to “find” enough votes to flip Georgia in Trump’s favor. Mitchell now leads a network of “election integrity” coalitions in swing states that have spent the last three years advocating for changes to voting rules and how elections are run. According to one internal newsletter, Ziklag was an early funder of Mitchell’s post-2020 “election integrity” activism, which voting-rights experts have criticized for stoking unfounded fears about voter fraud and seeking to unfairly remove people from voting rolls. In 2022, Ziklag donated $600,000 to the Conservative Partnership Institute, which in turn funds Mitchell’s election-integrity work. Internal Ziklag documents show that it provided funding to enable Mitchell to set up election integrity infrastructure in Florida, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
[...] For Operation Watchtower, Wallnau explained in a members-only video that transgender policy was a “wedge issue” that could be decisive in turning out voters tired of hearing about Trump. The left had won the battle over the “homosexual issue,” Wallnau said. “But on transgenderism, there’s a problem and they know it.” He continued: “They’re gonna wanna talk about Trump, Trump, Trump. … Meanwhile, if we talk about ‘It’s not about Trump. It’s about parents and their children, and the state is a threat,’” that could be the “target on the forehead of Goliath.” The Ziklag files describe tactics the group plans to use around parental rights — policies that make it easier for parents to control what’s taught in public schools — to turn out conservative voters. In a fundraising video, the group says it plans to underwrite a “messaging and data lab” focused on parental rights that will supply “winning messaging to all our partner groups to create unified focus among all on the right.” The goal, the video says, is to make parental rights “the difference-maker in the 2024 election.”
According to Wallnau, Ziklag also plans to fund ballot initiatives in seven key states — Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Ohio — that take aim at the transgender community by seeking to ban “genital mutilation.” The seven states targeted are either presidential battlegrounds or have competitive U.S. Senate races. None of the initiatives is on a state ballot yet. “People that are lethargic about the election or, worse yet, they’re gonna be all Trump-traumatized with the news cycle — this issue will get people to come out and vote,” Wallnau said. “That ballot initiative can deliver swing states.” The last prong of Ziklag’s 2024 strategy is Operation Steeplechase, which urges conservative pastors to mobilize their congregants to vote in this year’s election. This project will work in coordination with several prominent conservative groups that support former president Trump’s reelection, such as Turning Point USA’s faith-based group, the Faith and Freedom Coalition run by conservative operative Ralph Reed and the America First Policy Institute, one of several groups closely allied with Trump.
ProPublica takes a look at a secretive Christian Nationalist organization called Ziklag, a network of ultrawealthy Christian donors seeking to mobilize Republican-leaning voters to turn out for the general election with three different operations: Checkmate, Steeplechase, and Watchtower.

Hi! not sure if u write for content that isn't a character x reader, if not, feel free to ignore this req!
but I'd like to req some timeskip hcs for the twst charas.. like what would they be (aka. Their careers be) after graduation? I could totally see Riddle being a lawyer or sth high profile but I'm not entirely sure for the rest of the twst cast 🤔Thank you in advance! Take all the time u need !
I do write stuff aside from xreader, hehe. That’s what I’m most known for though, I reckon. Also, I didn’t include Ortho, since I haven’t the foggiest idea what he would do. Send suggestions my way if you have ideas tho.
== Twisted Wonderland Headcanons ==>
+After Graduation!
Riddle Rosehearts
I imagine a job that involves logic and reasoning would be up his alley, so yes, being a lawyer wouldn’t be a stretch. I also think he may end up a doctor like his parents, but of his own violation, and not because of their insistence. I could also see him being a teacher.
Ace Trappola:
NBA SUPERSTAR BABY. Genuinely. I think he’s got the personality and talent for that kind of stuff. Otherwise, I could see him being a snarky mathmetician or a beloathed gym teacher. This guy’s got some range.
Deuce Spade:
I could see him working as a physical trainer. I think he’d do well in a job that lets him help others, especially when they’re in desperate need of it.
Cater Diamond:
Social media influencer (read: niche internet microcelebrity), but he also works as a model or actor in his freetime. I like to imagine Vil and him working together in the industry a lot, and becoming good friends when they get older.
Trey Clover:
A baker, dentist, or chemist, as those are his passions. I think realistically he’d work as a dentist, and maybe even intern with Sebek’s parents, hehe.
Leona Kingscholar:
Diplomat, given his nobility. I think he’s initially a bit resentful of the role, but he’d make a good advocate for his country, and he comes to be widely respected for his intelligence and wit.
Ruggie Bucchi:
Leona’s assistant or advisor, given what we know about he and Leon’a relationship from the game. I could also see him working as a diplomat though, and advocating for those in poverty. I think he and Leona stick by one another for a long time after graduation.
Jack Howl:
Another professional athlete. I think he’d make it to the TWST olympics, honestly. Not that it’s a job, but I could also see him being a wonderful father.
Azul Ashengrotto:
Entrepreneur and restaurant owner. He expands the Monstro Loungue brand and gets insanely wealthy, much to everyone’s chagrin.
Jade Leech:
An agriculturalist, specifically focusing on cultivating mushrooms and researcching them. He’s absolutely in love with his job.
Floyd Leech:
Fashion designer and absolute menace to the fashion world. He makes some truly stunning stuff, but showcasing his work means putting up with him, which many are reluctant to do. Thankfully, he has both his family and Azul’s backing.
Kalim Al’Asim:
He’d take over his family business, while also making a few ventures of his own with the money he has. I imagine him donating a lot to charity, and investing in systems to improve his country.
Jamil Viper:
I think he would break away from Kalim and pursue being a musician and/or dancer. He still helps Kalim, but not as an advisor or forced companion, and rather as a begruding but willing friend.
Vil Schoenheit:
I think it goes without saying that he’s continuing his already stellar career as an actor/model/musician/probably a million other things.
Rook Hunt:
An art critic who rises to notoriety for his beautifully worded yet no less honest and critical reviews. I could also see him being a private eye, for less than savory reasons. Maybe he does it in his free time? Also, archeologist.
Epel Felmier:
Professional Spelldrive player! He’s not the best of the best, but his determination and will to succeed makes him a force to be reckoned with.
Idia Shroud:
Software developer and a game designer! I think he’d love being in charge of creating the games he adores so much. I could also see him running a tech company as the reclusive CEO.
Malleus Draconia:
King of Briar Valley after his grandmother passes the title to him. If not that, then I think he’d like to be a historian, given his lifespan and appreciation for older things.
Lilia Vanrougue:
He’s already an old man, but if he had to pick a more mundane job, I could see him touring with a metal band, or teaching younger kids in Briar Valley.
Silver & Sebek Zigvolt:
As the prophecy hath foretold, they’ll probably end up being Malleus’s guards for a long time, then perhaps becoming generals or leaders in the valley’s military.

Hi love! You know, I'm a little bit worried about my future. I'm pretty sure you're aware by now of the release of chat GPT and all the talk that's been lately about AI. I've been learning to code on my own while I decide if I want to study computer science or economics and finance or a mix of both, and I decided to try chat GPT because many people were saying it can generate entire blocks of code and, unfortunately, it was true. I started playing around with it and discovered it can create an entire website, which is potentially bad for web developers. But there's also been a lot of talk that in the next years it can replace many jobs of different kinds, some mentioned were writers, journalists, lawyers, mathematicians, economists, financial analysts, accountants, software engineers, even designers, etc. And a couple of days ago OpenAI (the company who made chat GPT) and the U of Pennsylvania released a paper analyzing the impacts on the labor market caused by AI (it's called "GPTs are GPTs: An Early Look at the Labor Market Impact Potential if Large Language Models) and some of their conclusions are terrifying: "This finding implies that LLM-powered software will have a substantial effect on scaling the economic impacts of the underlying models. We conclude that LLMs such as GPTs exhibit traits of general-purpose technologies, indicating that they could have considerable economic, social and policy implications." They also analyze the jobs that have the highest exposure and the largest potential of being replaced, and the ones that have the less exposure and those are usually manual labor jobs. It's safe to say that I'm extremely worried and I don't know what to do anymore or if it's even worth to get a degree at all. I'm devastated. What do you think I should do?
Number one, start reaching out to people with similar jobs / careers that you’re looking for on LinkedIn. Get an idea of what exactly is happening in the workforce - talk to the people who are in that situation right now. Ask them what they would advise you on the same.
Number two, reach out to your potential college’s staff and ask them to put you in touch with a faculty member who teaches these subjects and have a conversation with them. I think you need to talk to both professionals and academia before you make a certain decision.
Number three, look for more research papers on the subject and contact them. 9/10 most people who publish research papers are more than happy to have a conversation about the work they’ve written about.
Before you do any of this though, make a list of all your questions that you may have- it’s always good to be prepared. Ask about alternate career options, future work opportunities/ trends, what they would do in your current position, etc. essentially, make a game plan.
Four, if your family/ you have friends or contacts who work in those businesses/ relevant fields, use everything you’ve got to connect to people and find things out. Don’t be shy about “wasting anyone’s time” or asking for favours. Go ahead and start reaching out to people.
I say this a lot, in life you’ve got two options to most things. Figure that shit out or let it go. Judging by your ask, you do seem motivated to figure your shit out, so I’m encouraging you to go ahead and use every resource you have to plan the next few years of your life out.
There will always be opportunities somewhere or the other. It’s just a matter of finding them and making the most out of them.
