Pile 1- The Devil, Six of Coins in Reverse, The Hanged Man
Oracle cards- "Billionaire: Are you hoarding wealth to fuel your King or Queen Baby dreams? Do not pass Go, do not collect a million dollars, don't even go to jail or pay taxes- think about doing some good and using your hoard to end WORLD HUNGER ALREADY!"
"Black Square: Apparently, you are only down for doing the bare minimum during an incredibly significant time to stand up and advocate for human rights. Drawing this card reminds you that your actions need to not be just performative, they must be based in real knowledge and include follow-through, both online and IRL (in real life). You don't have to be on the front lines, but at this point in history, you can't be silent either."
Tumblr media
Hi my pile 1's 😭 I feel like it's been forever I hate being away from my blog for too long cause I start to miss y'all literally lol.
So anyways for your reading today I feel like Spirit is wanting to draw attention to maybe some addictions, self sabotage is what I heard while shuffling the cards. I feel this heavy energy of someone purposely messing up their own blessings in a way I feel like maybe someone's stuck in this very heavy energy but also not really doing anything about it? Like maybe you know something's not good for you, maybe it's a connection or even a job that's tiring you out, it's something along those lines but you just can't stop it, you know? I heard someone needs to do an energy cleanse! I heard take some time off. Maybe someone's drowning themselves in something like studying too much, there's something about over doing something. Someone could have very curly hair here.
So I'm hearing here someone should take the time off and do something fun, relax a little. I think there's a message here also of feeling like you haven't done enough of something and you're obsessing about it mentally a lot and spirit is saying just take a little break from it and endulg in something else, something that makes you happy and makes you feel like you, you know? Even if it's just taking a walk while listening to your favorite music or maybe reading your favorite book and watching your favorite movie, you know? So with the six of coins here I'm also getting a message of like you've worked really hard already and you've done a great job honestly it's okay to rest and not be perfect already already, Rome wasn't built in a day I'm hearing!
The hanged man is just confirmation you've definitely been making yourself sick and stuck by obsessing over this thing. I also feel like maybe you're stuck because spirit is wanting you to see things from a different perspective, like in my garbage pail kid tarot card Wacky Jacky is hanging and all stuck in a tree but while she's stuck she realizes she sees the world in a whole different perspective and it's then new ideas come to her. Approach your goal from a new angle!
I feel like someone here is also someone very important with a very hard position and that might be why you work so hard, you have a lot of pressure on you maybe. Take what resonates!
Hope you enjoyed this reading! Let me know, I love you and take care ♡

Pile 2- Queen of Wands Reversed, Seven of Wands Reversed and Three of Cups.
Oracle cards- "Troll: Are you a Necessary Evil? Do you feel you must play Devil's Advocate? Or are you someone who hates themselves so much they feel they have to try to get others to feel the same way? If you answered "yes" to one or more of these questions, please seek help or therapy, or get a hobby."
"Bitch: Are you being a Bitch, or just making sure they can't take advantage of you? Stand up for yourself, but make sure you don't steamroll anyone in the process. Do no harm, but take no shit."
Tumblr media
Hi pile 2's, hope you're doing amazing 🤩
So right off the bat I'm picking up shy energy lol, someone who's maybe more reserved or introverted. I don't want to say basically Spirit thinks you should be loud or more outgoing but I definitely think you'll go through a time period of weird energy and out of the ordinary situations happening that are forcing you out of your comfort zone. You might not get any more extroverted but I definitely do see branching out might help, sitting with your close friends and just letting yourself let loose or just enjoy the company. You might be someone who people look at and not get the big picture right away, like they have lots of accusations about you but you're kind of closed off so these accusations aren't 100% true because there's more to you than people know, you're just not the type to go and give yourself away that easily. You might be someone who prefers to keep a very close knit group of friends, I heard something about trust issues.
You could be petite, someone who doesn't look like they're very strong and that's what surprises everyone when you finally do show them you are indeed strong. You can be loud and extroverted too I think it's a choice to really be in this shell of yours, maybe it's what's comfortable and that's exactly the problem, when we're too comfortable we don't see the point in changing. Like why fix it if it isn't broken? But you hold great significance, you're just a significant person to the universe and I'm not even sure if you're aware but you are lol.
It's crazy because I'm picking up mixed messages lol, with the Queen of Wands in reverse it makes me feel like someone here is very down and unsure about themselves, needs to take some me time and get away from socializing but with the Three of Cups someone here needs to "stop being alone so much" is how I channeled it, advising you to go out more with the people you love and celebrate, have a good time and just have fun so take what resonates as you know yourself best and what applies to your situation.
With the seven of Wands I'm getting a message of someone who's stressed, you maybe have felt very tired, over worked maybe, even dealing with certain responsibilities or relationship makes us feel tired and all worn out so take this how it resonates. You're on the brink of giving up, maybe you felt like it's not worth it or simply just can't find results you've been wanting to see, maybe this thing is literally killing you because Spirit is stressing you drop it enough to take the stress off you. I wouldn't advise anyone to just give up, but Spirit used such words as "drop it" like maybe the thing you're supposed to drop isn't serving you and that's why it's making you feel so bad. I'm just hearing Spirit even ask if you think all of this is worth it? This is something tough that's been bothering you, it could even be as simple as negative thoughts with all of the wands energy here, I think this is a group in their head a lot always trying to hold themselves accountable and very motivated to just do right. I heard a message that it's hard coming up for new creative endeavors because of all of the negativity in your thoughts holding you back, this energy is blocking your ideas. It's like you vs you almost, I think you have the power to help your dreams manifest all on their own just with your thoughts alone so keep a check for your energy, watch who you share your energy with because it's important and powerful. You're powerful I heard!
I hope you find this helpful! Take care angelz love you! ♡

Pile 3- Seven of Cups, The Chariot and King of Wands.
Oracle Cards- "Black Square: Apparently, you are only down for doing the bare minimum during an incredibly significant time to stand up and advocate for human rights. Drawing this card reminds you that your actions need to not be just performative, they must be based in real knowledge and include follow-through, both online and IRL (in real life). You don't have to be on the front lines, but at this point in history, you can't be silent either."
"Red Flag: No matter how often you try to bleach the red flags white, they only turn back to red. You have been warned- now PULL ANOTHER CARD!"
"Cult Leader: You are not a guru, a Timelord, or a demigod. You are an egomaniac who needs minions so you can feel like an authority to compensate for your own feelings of inferiority. Grow up!"
Tumblr media
Hi pile 3! Hope you're having a fantastic day where you are!
So right away I'm picking up a message of not seeing the bigger picture, this pile feels more like a "How to Manifest more quicker" lol. I'm hearing this very slow moving energy, someone refusing to move on to the next chapter though you might be aware it's time to even but I'm getting a sense of fear. Even if you are unaware of these changes there's still so much anxiety and fear surrounding you at these times because the universe is basically forcing you to move lol! Move or be moved I'm hearing.
So overall I feel like someone in this pile might have lots of distractions, someone might have adhd and a hard time concentrating on tasks. Spirits drawing your attention these times and reminding you to stay focus.
With the Chariot card I feel like there's some movement here that needs to happen, you need to take action. I think that's the best way to help your manifestations right now, maybe someone here even forget exactly what they were manifesting and Spirit is like "Uhh HELLO? DO YOU REMEBER THAT THING??" lol. I heard someone's just been away from the job a little too long, I even get from the Seven of Cups it might've been you were distracted with something else that just sparked your attention better, but all that glitters isn't gold!
So I think you're working on being in this King of Wands energy, someone who is very productive, knows what they want, speaks up about anything, rather it's an idea they have or just wanting authority. I feel like a few of you even might know exactly what this is, I feel like a few of you might not even have a specific dream you want to manifest just clicking on the reading for fun lol but there's still a secretive message here I think you'll understand as you apply it to your situation.
Spirit is asking you to maybe think about the roots you want to plant and start from there, stay true to your craft and perspective and be committed.
I hope you enjoyed this reading! I love you, see you soon ❤️ ★

Thank to rub salt in the wounds, Twi.
Not only your timeline was perfectly FINE, not only the hero before you isn't DEAD but he left you a sword in a perfect condition.
Twilight didn't have to fight, as a child, to survive in a cruel world. The hero before him did'n't fail, he didn't leave the sword in a horrible condition.
Tumblr media
I wonder if Legend has guessed that the hero before Twi was Time, seen Twi's smile. (it's kinda obvious seen how close they are)
Did he guessed that Time was the hero before him too? And he chooses to stay silence to not hurt anyone? Time has never been the hero of time in his timeline after all and is probably died as a child.
But outch Legend's face....it's a mix between "Yep you are a lucky boy" and "if only you knew about the hero before me or maybe "thank to remember me how much a tragic mess my timeline is"
Because Legend is too nice and patient to say "how nice for you, the hero before me died against Ganon, his sword was in a horrible condition with still his blood on her, so much that i have had to reforge her myself! As a CHILD."
No Legend is too nice to take his bitterness on Twilight who did nothing wrong and didn't know. He'll shallow it and says nothing about the sword's condition in his timeline.
I think that's a big part of who Legend is actually! He comes off as really bitter and cold, at least as far as Twilight is concerned, and I wish there was more focus on that interplay.
Twilight met Legend and, based off of a few limited interactions, mentally labeled him as a bully and a jerk and thus treats him accordingly. Not without reason of course, he's drawing mental parallels to actual bullies and Legend is unintentionally checking the boxes, but I think it's sort of sad that until this point, Twilight has still not bothered to get to know Legend at all beyond his initial observations .
But the fact remains that Legend IS from a world that was in shambles, a world where everyone is a threat, if not to everyone else than at least to him. Legend is a prey animal trapped amongst predators with little to no guidance. The cards of fate are stacked against him as far as his world is concerned, and while the goddesses may have granted him additional blessings and favor to make up for that, his world is still magically a mess, physically a mess, and just generally a mess.
The vet has no legacy of proud heroes to look back on. The First Hero died. The Hero of the Four Sword is a raging lunatic who tries to murder children and is sealed beneath the castle. The Hero of Time died in combat. This is the legacy he gets to follow in. Legend doesn't have the hope of becoming like those before, he has the fear of meeting a similar fate because life is never kind to heroes.
Legend's world was left in shambles, and he's had to be the one to help rebuild it, only to watch it get torn down again and again as enemies undo all his hard work. But on a more personal note, Legend has tried again and again to establish himself in the world just to have all the people he loves hurt or harmed on his account.
His Uncle died, and even though he was brought back, he disappears from the timeline shortly after, leaving a kid hero alone in the world. Legend's grandparents have high expectations and aren't the best at listening when he says that their wishes make him unhappy or uncomfortable, and instead push him to follow them anyway, only to themselves disappear from his life once the Oracle adventures are over. Din, Ralph, Raven, Nayru, Moosh, Ricky, Dmitri, all these are people Ledge befriended and was close to and had to say goodbye to again for one reason or another.
Marin.
Legend is always losing the people he loves most, watching his work get thrown in his face and receiving little to no thanks for his work. He's still actively treated like a nuisance and a threat by some people in his kingdom and no doubt there are others who simply don't believe him.
The whole world is against him, and yet the only thing it's done is made him defensive. Ledge isn't cold or cruel, you can see that he actively cares for and worries about the other heroes, he's just guarded more than they are about it. Still, in times of high emotion the walls fall and he's his true self: that kid who's got a heart too big for his own good and is going to get it broken again.
And Legend knows this. Legend actively knows that Twilight isn't fond of him, and that the other heroes regard him as an ass, but rather than correct them, stand up for himself, provide even one of the thousands of reasons he has to guard and defend his heart like he does, he just lets them have their peace because what good would it do to tell them about the losses he's suffered? The world he grew up in? The legacy he has to bear? The terrible fate he no doubt expects to one day meet? What good would it do to make them love him if that will just make their inevitable parting all the harder?
It's hard to lose those you love, but it's easier if you convince yourself they never actually loved you, so you're better off.
So yeah, Twilight is over here unintentionally rubbing salt in the vet's many wounds, but Legend keeps his mouth shut because it does no good to speak up, and in the long run, at least as far as he thinks, it's better to let it be.
I kinda hope Twilight will come to understand the vet better though, and maybe get a peek at what has hardened up the younger hero enough that he comes across the way he does. I'm pretty sure his whole outlook would change if he did, and his respect for the vet would definitely increase.

okok more headcanons- I have more for some Harbingers than others, I'll do Dottore and Crucy in this one. I have a lot of angsty ones about Crucabena in particular, but I'll just do some fun ones here so it won't get to heavy (same with Scara later on) Dottore: -most people can't really get under his skin. He used to be a lot easier to anger (see Webtorre), but Prime and the older segments have gotten good at keeping it disguised. A notable exception to this rule is Scara, mainly because of their complicated relationship- like Nahida explained, he is jealous of him, and this too manifests in his (lack of) patience when interacting with Scara compared to others. -not all that concerned about people he's close to dying. Has a vast amount of forbidden knowledge, so he knows about Teyvat running in a sort of loop. He's annoyed when people he's close to die, yes, but he knows they'll come back in some form in the next cycle, so he's kind of detached. -Doesnt actually have strong feelings about (new) Arlecchino. He's annoyed that he has less test subjects now, yes, and he would rather have Crucabena back, but he doesnt hate her or anything. She's an annoyance at most, but not really a threat. -does not actually like Pierro one bit (and thats mutual between the two). He's glad for the opportunities the Fatui provide, but Pierro? No. -Would collect pokemon cards. - I have a lot about Scara & him but I think I'll need a separate post for that Crucabena: -I mentioned this in the last post, but I absolutely think she was a really, really feral child. Whenever I draw her as a kid, my immediate thought is "this kid bites". -I think she was born with one of her elements (hydro/cryo). We dont see her having a vision, and I dont think she'd have two delusions. She's based off of a goddess/witch, and I think the latter describes what I see her as in Genshin. I also think she is one of the Fatui members who does not age regularly, although that's mostly my Crucattore childhood friends agenda speaking. -terrible at cooking. horrible. the house of the hearth lives off of fast food -*huge* enabler. Not just for Dottore, but for everyone that is not her children. Put her on a mission with Sandrone and find them coming back to Snezhnaya with a suspicious amount of robot-parts and new puppets. Put her and Signora into a casino and see Signora's yearly savings gone in one evening. She seems well adjusted, but she's really, REALLY not -this is more lore heavy, but I think she's related to one of the tribes Remuria conquered. Remuria ofc being based off of Rome, and her name being a romanised version of a welsh name. Frankly, I think her true name is still the welsh version and she just goes by the romanised one for *some* plausible deniability. (Similarly, Clervie is also the romanised version, although I'd say Clervie herself doesnt know) -Also her child sacrificing ideology has me thinking Enkanomiya, so I'll probably incorporate that in my AUs somehow -Was active in Fontainian politics. Because someone had to be, and it surely wasnt Sandrone. -oracle/prophet. No I will not elaborate. -Despises being called nicknames, but Dottore and Columbina (at the very least) almost exclusively address her that way. Crucabena/Ceridwen? Thats Crucy and Ceri to Dottore and Bina. -the fairytale book she reads to the children is some genuinely important semi-historical account, like a lot of the books we find in genshin are. She's aware, but she really does not care if the children figure it out. They'll die anyways. Pierro wasnt happy about it tho. -Got a lot of condolence-cards from fontainian and snezhnayan politicans after Clervie died. Genuinely took a few minutes to realise what those were about, because she really did not see it as that significant of an event. -Similarly, used Clervies death as an excuse to get out of doing her job. You want her to do paperwork?? Her, the poor woman mourning her only childs death?? Preposterous.

Tessa Thompson and Michael B. Jordan: what is the relationship between the two?
All readings are alleged and for entertainment purposes only; please take each reading with a grain of salt.
What does Michael feel towards Tessa: strength, ace of cups, temperance - for Michael this is a very strong friendship between him and Tessa. It’s one of mutual love and respect. He cares about her deeply but I get the sense he doesn’t want to ruin things between them in any way so this remaining a friendship will keep the relationship going and at a good balance.
Oracle card: paradise - he enjoys his time being around her and he can be himself when she’s around. Nothing fake and they can be goofy or whatever they can’t around others. All and all for him this is a great friendship to have.
What does Tessa feel towards Michael: the magician, Queen of pentacles, 5 of cups - Tessa feels this magical kinship towards Michael. He’s someone she’s grown to care for and being with him is as easy as breathing for her. But I think she’s wondering sometimes what could’ve been. As I seen above I think Michael decided early on he didn’t want a romantic relationship between himself and her but she may have some feelings and wonder what could be if they tried. The idea lingers in her mind and while they have a great friendship she wonders what could be if they took it further.
Oracle card: passion - she would love to actually be with him and feels the draw to him more than a friend. She seen they have some things in common, have a good foundation for a great relationship herself.
Relationship between the two: 6 of cups, king of pentacles, page of cups - these two have such a long standing friendship and it’s one that brings them so much joy to think of how far they’ve come since the beginning. As it’s going now I see this one lasting years and years; these two being close in the industry and one of those real friendships not the stuff the media sets up. They may be working together again soon or may hang out here soon. The page of cups shows getting back together with old friends or something that will happen between their inner circle and reunite them.
Oracle card: cut down - I usually take this card as either a breakup but here I see something along the lines of stop beating around the bush. It seems they may both have feelings so with this card maybe they need to actually be honest and stop hiding their feelings to preserve their relationship or from fear of what can happen. They don’t have to actually be in a relationship if they don’t feel like it but they should be honest that there have been feelings before they’ve had.
What their bond appears to outsiders: 3 of pentacles, king of swords, knight of pentacles - to the rest of the world these two look like good costars who have found a great relationship outside of work and do well together on screen and seem like a joy to be around in general. The world sees them as a great duo of successful friends who will be working together off and on and give high praise whenever asked about the other. No fakeness or inauthenticity; just real friends.
Oracle card: healthy choices - based on this I don’t think many fans or others watching want them in a relationship. Probably fearful they will split and that great balance lost forever. I feel that’s how these two feel as well.
Will these two ever try to get together: no, ace of pentacles reversed - they’re unsure this relationship will last if they tried and feel they would split up and things wouldn’t work out.

First Snow Fall
"Snow is what it does. It falls, it stays, it goes." - Frederick Seidel
Tumblr media
The first snow started falling while I was at work this week. A mix of variations on "Oh no" ran through my coworkers. Winter is starting. I could feel it in my bones the last few days but I didn't dare to believe it with climate change making our winters... strange. This is the time of year we had at least a foot of snow growing up. So I am glad to see it appear now rather than later.

Altar
Tumblr media
I was able to get some of the snow that stuck from last night and use it to clean off the altar before adding a winter cloth. I'll probably make a new one that works for all of winter this year. I also need a new winter candle, so I'm putting that on my list of things to make.
₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊
Winter Bullet Journal
I wanted to have pictures for this section but I ran out of tape... So I'll just talk about it... sorry. I'll update this post with pictures once it's done. Help break up the writing a bit.
When the season officially changes for me, I like to do a check in for the coming signs. Sagittarius, Capricorn and Aquarius tend to be the signs that winter happens in for my region (despite their actual astrological seasonal associations). I check into which areas they rule over in my own natal chart; for example, Sagittarius rules my 2nd house (personal finances) so I'll rate it out of ten how I feel I'm doing in that area and then write a paragraph or so about why I feel that way and, if I need to improve, how.
I also check into how I'm feeling about my numerological arcana tarot card for the year (the Hanged Man). Again just a short blurb about it. I also pick a word for the year based on my feelings around the divination I do for the new year. So I'll check in with that word as well.
I have a whole separate page for my timelord (find more information on this here). Here I note when the aspects happen in my own natal chart with the planet itself. Then focus on what that could mean for me going forward.
I like to work with an animal each year, which I decide by drawing a card from the Woodland Wardens Oracle deck (all of the animals in it can be found in my region in some form or another). So with the new snow fall, I've decided that at the change into winter I would draw a new card. This year I got snake, so I'll begin my work with it by looking into the species of snakes that are local to my area and learning about them this winter. As I go I'll figure out the best ways to honor them. I'll say goodbye to eel at the new moon and do a formal welcoming ritual to get me into the snake headspace after.
And lastly, I set up my garden and nature log. It may seem strange to have a garden log in the winter when I live in a region that has snow and can't plant anything. However, my garlic leaves like to pop out of the snow in early February. I'm glad I had my garden log that first winter I planted garlic because it was so unexpected.
₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊
Conclusion
Tumblr media
*my backyard the morning after the first snow*
Winter prep is more about settling in. We start the season out with some holidays that help our neighbors before we get into the heart of rough winter days and then hunker down and wait. Working on fiber arts projects and cooking warm hearty foods. Going out on hikes bundled up with care. My kid shouting "I can't put my arms down!" when I add too many layers. And a wonder at the silence that envelopes the world.

Heya, I'm going to do a one shot session for my birthday and I'm looking for recommendations! If you're up for giving me some pointers, I'd be super happy. I'll be playing with people who have no experience role-playing, and I myself have little experience and I've never DM'ed. It needs to be easy to understand and the rules need to be easily readable for the players. It can be GM less (doesn't have to be) because I'm also really excited about playing :) It should be creative and not to combat heavy. Aesthetic wise I'm flexible, I like magic and fantasy but I'm not at all set on that, just one thing: I made a mysterious notebook (dark academia style) that I want to use during the session, it documents "secrets" like maps and drawings of plants and old photographs, nothing's legible in there, I just want people to make up the secrets that have been discovered within this book. So the notebook needs to somehow fit into the game, but the setting in general does not need to be dark academia style.
Wow that's a really long ask,I hope you're not seeing it as me feeling entitled to a super specific recommendation. Just if you want to give me and my inexperienced friends a hint for my birthday afternoon, anything at all, I'd be super happy
Theme: New Group Friendly, Fantastical Mystery
Alright, so for this answer, these are the following concepts I tried to consider:
Guidance for the GM
Friendly to new players, easy to teach
Creative with a de-emphasis off combat
magic, fantasy, mystery, a little bit of darkness
something that encourages the group to flip through some kind of oracle
GM-less is welcome but not necessary
All of these games have GM-less as an option, but I recommend that if you're the one picking the game, that you read through at and be ready to facilitate, as you'll know a bit more about what's going on.

A Land Once Magic, by Viditya Voleti.
A Land Once Magic is a Post-Fantasy worldbuilding game to help create unique worlds based around deconstructing and evolving fantasy tropes and creating unique magic systems that are built from the ground up. Using only random tables and a deck of cards you'll be able to create a wholly original post-fantasy world!
If you want to specifically use the mysterious notebook to add to the game you are playing, I think a world building game would be a great way to incorporate it into the setting itself. A Land Once Magic asks you to create a world together and come up with your own ideas about how magic works, using a deck of cards and random tables. However, for a game like this, you could use the book that you have to give you ideas about how to answer questions in the game. For example, to answer the question about what cost magic has, flipping the book to a page with a botanical drawing of flowers might inspire the character to talk about the the bond between magic and living things, or how flowers fail to bloom where magic has been cast.
I like the fact that this game is GM-less, giving everyone the same creative agency, and that it structures play using cards, so you should always have an idea of what you can do next. At the end of it you’ll have a completely unique setting where you can imagine the potential of future stories and adventures!
Goblin Market, by Kestrel Eliot.
Every solstice, the veil thins between the worlds, merging mortal world with fae realm. Some time ago, the goblins started a market on the solstices to encourage friendship, trade, and storytelling between the worlds. Play to get to know your characters, meet fae beings, and ultimately decide where you belong.
Another game that uses a deck of cards as prompts for telling a story, Goblin Market explores the story of mortals trying to decide if they run away into the fae realm or not. You’ll spend the game in three different phases: setting up character backstory as they explore the market, diving into the personal struggles and connections of each character as the are confronted with the magical food of the Goblin Market, and then finally a choice - do you stay, or do you go? What does this mean for you in the future?
This is another game in which you could use the book as an oracle. You could flip to different pages to help characters answer questions about themselves if you like, or even use it as inspiration for what happens once each character makes their decision. This game definitely provides the structure a first-timer might appreciate, while encouraging each player to put forward ideas and create the Goblin Market as you play.
Beating Heart Bargain, by Charlotte Laskowski.
Beating Heart Bargain is a rules-lite tabletop roleplaying game made for one to three players, with or without a GM.  You play as a Wizard who has traded a piece of themselves in exchange for more power, and now you seek to retrieve what you had once bargained away. Heavy inspiration is taken from Studio Ghibli films, especially Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away.
This game has such an enchanting theme, and provides all of your characters with short but evocative options to create their wizards. This game can be GM-less, but it doesn’t have to be. If you play without a storyteller, the players will take turns describing the environment around you, the people you meet, and the creatures and details that will show up as problems emerge. You could use your book as a kind of “grimoire” in this game, possibly as an oracle to fill out parts of the setting, or perhaps the pages leave clues as to how to return your missing piece.
This game is extremely creative and really encourages you to avoid combat if possible. I strongly recommend that you check out this game!
EYE: A Murder Mystery Generator, by Zak Makes Games.
EYE is a cooperative mystery solving game for one to six players. Players take on the role of detectives, hunting down suspects, evidence and clues in order to solve a randomly generated murder mystery. It’s up to you and your friends to make sense of the information presented and get to the bottom of each mysterious case!
This is a setting-agnostic mystery game, so if you would like to use it for a fantastical setting, you absolutely can! Players will use a random word to generate the premise of the mystery, and then interview suspects and uncover evidence to determine who the murderer actually is. You can use the book as a way to come up with clues, and perhaps even make it an integral part of solving the case! This game is totally co-op, and the pieces of evidence that are required give everyone a concrete goal to pursue and points the group in a specific direction. Worth checking out!

Loki Devotional Ideas: Halloween Edition
(Do you seriously think our loveable God of “fuck around, find out”, “constant sugar high insanity” and “what’s the worst that could happen?” wouldn’t love a holiday about dressing up scary, watching scary movies, telling scary stories and pranking people?)
- Watch horror movies. Any will do! Slashers (e.g. Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Halloween), Splatter (e.g. Saw, Hostel, Hellraiser), Monster (e.g. American Werewolf in London, Dracula, Creature from the Black Lagoon), Sci-Fi (e.g. Alien, M3GAN, Predator), Psychological (e.g. The Woman in Black, The Ring, Silence of the Lambs), whatever floats your boat! (Yes, this does include kids horror.)
- Listen to spooky tunes. I don’t just mean Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, Ray Parker Jr’s “Ghostbusters”, and so on; listen to the Silver Scream albums by Ice Nine Kills, “Halloweentown” by Dark Divine, fucking anything by Motionless in White or Rob Zombie. The spookier, the better!
- PRANKS! Give someone a quick scare, but remember to do clean up/soothing afterwards!
- Give Loki his own Halloween bucket and put some candy in it for him.
- Spooky tarot readings! Use tarot or oracle sets themed around horror in any way. I have an oracle set literally based on horror movies (and it has a card called “The Trickster” based on IT and it is 100% a Loki card. I’ll talk about it in detail another time.)
- If you have some sort of statue or digital representation of Loki, why not dress him up? You can even ask him if he’d like anything in particular.
- Decorate your house how YOU want to. Get out the lumbering, scary animatronics or stick to the kid friendly banners and plastic scene setters and lights. Whatever works for you!
- Indulge in whatever spooky delights you desire. Read that shitty CreepyPasta from 2009, read that Goosebumps story, watch Twilight, play old horror/scary Flash games, eat chocolate till you poop nothing but it, listen to zombie apocalypse ambience, play with your Monster High dolls, WHATEVER! JUST. INDULGE.
- Carve a pumpkin. Give Loki a pumpkin as well (sure he can’t physically carve it in our realm but you could always use your minds eye to translate what he carved as close as you can). Make pumpkin pie from the insides.
- Enjoy the autumn leaves falling, the nights growing longer, the full moon in the sky and all the hallmarks of the autumn season.
- Give out candy to trick r treaters. Laugh at their horrible jokes (convince them you genuinely found it funny), play along with their “tricks”, compliment their outfits. Loki loves kids, and you bet your ass he’d love them going home happy with not just candy but someone playing along with them!
- Draw horror art, write horror stories, create spooky music. Use the time to be spookily creative. And it doesn’t need to be groundbreaking - if you wanna make a Jeff the Killer rip-off, you go and you make that Jeff the Killer rip-off!
- For those who observe Samhain; include Loki in your celebration/tradition, even if only a small inclusion.
- Tell Loki a scary campfire story from your youth. Hell, if you wanna ask him to tell you one, go for it!
- Include his family if you can! Leave candy or toys for the twins, include wolves or snakes in your decorations for Fenrir and Jormungandr, make a foam tombstone dedicated to Hel and Garmr, make decorative potions themed around Angrboda and Sigyn. Whatever way you can think of to include them, it’s worth a shot!
- For pet owners; if your furry buddy is alright with it, dress them up or give them seasonal items! Not all animals (e.g. cats) like dressing up, so try for Halloween themed toys, bedding, enrichment and treats! Bonus points if you dress up your companion to resemble Fenrir, Jormungandr or Sleipnir.
- Get scented candles or incense that fits the season. Pumpkin, cinnamon, rain, apple - there’s plenty of options out there!
- If you do any Halloween baking, invite Loki or leave him some of your baked goods.
- Have a pumpkin spiced latte and OWN being a basic White bitch for five minutes. You enjoy every slurp of that pumpkin spiced latte like your life depends on it. Don’t matter if you are POC, disabled, LGBTQIA+, whatever else - if you wanna be a basic autumn White bitch for a minute, you go and be that basic autumn White bitch! (Bonus if you add whipped cream or anything else you like just for the Hell of it.)
- In summary; HAVE FUCKING FUN. Indulge yourself, play along with games and pranks, take in everything the season has to offer.

List of Wiccan spells
Wicca, as a modern pagan religion, encompasses a variety of beliefs, practices, and traditions. Within Wicca, practitioners often create their own spells based on personal intuition, magical correspondences, and ritual practices. However, there are some common types of spells that are frequently used by Wiccans. Here’s a list of Wiccan spells categorized by their purpose:

Wedding or Handfasting Ceremony: Performing a ritual to bless a marriage or commitment ceremony, invoking the blessings of the deities and the elements for the couple’s union.
Baby Blessing or Naming Ceremony: Welcoming a new child into the family or community with a ritual to bless and name them, invoking blessings of health, happiness, and protection.
7. Spiritual Growth Spells:
Meditation Ritual: Creating a sacred space for meditation and visualization to connect with the divine, deepen spiritual awareness, and receive guidance.
Elemental Ritual: Working with the elements (earth, air, fire, water, and spirit) through rituals, meditations, and offerings to cultivate balance and harmony within oneself and the natural world.
Initiation or Dedication Ceremony: Performing a ritual to formally initiate oneself into Wicca or dedicate oneself to a specific deity or path within the tradition.
These are just a few examples of the types of spells and rituals commonly practiced by Wiccans. It’s important to remember that Wicca is a diverse and eclectic tradition, and practitioners often customize their spells to suit their individual beliefs, intentions, and magical preferences. Additionally, ethical considerations, such as respecting free will and acting in accordance with the Wiccan Rede (“An it harm none, do what ye will”), are integral to Wiccan spellwork.

If I Could Only Keep 10 Decks
Tumblr media
I simultaneously love and hate questions like this. On one hand, it makes you evaluate everything and look at what's really important to you. On the other hand, thinking of letting things go sucks. But when I looked at my decks, I found that the choices were easier than I thought they would be. I decided to choose 5 tarot decks and 5 oracle decks for balance. I'll start with the tarot cards.
Tarot Cards
Sacred Rose Tarot
We're starting at the very beginning. This is the deck that my dad bought me for my birthday when I was 12. I had seen tarot used on TV or a movie, and was completely obsessed with it. All I wanted that year was a tarot deck. So Dad took me to a metaphysical store called The Sphynx in Midtown Atlanta, and bought my first deck. It was really hard to learn on, but it's incredibly precious to me. I couldn't let this deck go if I tried.
Pamela Colman Smith Commemorative Rider Waite Smith
I ordered this deck from the UK before the American version came out. And I'm glad I did, because the colors on the American version are washed out and dull. I also trimmed the white borders off, and edged this deck in black. It looks great and it feels really good to shuffle. It's my ride-or-die deck. I use it to read at DragonCon and any other events because it's just such a good reader. It loves to read for other people, but it doesn't really read for me well at all. I'm OK with that. I think that you need a deck that's primarily for other people. It's my travel deck that goes everywhere in my purse with me!
Thoth Tarot
I bought this as a study deck and forgot about it for a few years. I read somewhere that the 3 of Cups was associated with Persephone, and I was hooked! I started studying it here and there when I got a chance, but never really did a deep dive. Then, in 2022, I used it for my daily draws every day, and I learned a lot. I love this deck and its layers of symbolism. I should use it more, but I love having it near me. I could spend years studying this deck and never get tired.
The Forhaxa Tarot
I love this deck for a few reasons. First, the art is absolute perfection. It's so complex and layered. Second, it's based on Swedish folklore. I don't know most of the references, but it makes me want to study the tales. Third, it was given to me by my awesome husbear. A trifecta of awesome!
The Alleyman's Tarot
What can I say about the Alleyman's Tarot? If you know, you know. It's just so fuckin' COOL. It's a mixed deck of cards from different artists that come together to make a jumbled, crazy mess of fantastic art. And you're encouraged to bend the cards (I could never), write on the cards (I have), and even get rid of the cards you don't like (I just set them neatly aside). The Alleyman has a few other neat tricks up his sleeve, including a dice set (that reads really well), and he's coming out with some oracle decks as a Kickstarter early next year. LOVE!
Oracle Cards
The Faeries Oracle
This is one of my oldest decks. I can't remember exactly when I bought it, but It wasn't that long after it was released in 2000. I just love Brian Froud. And believe it or not, this deck is a good reader. The messages are deep and meaningful. I don't read with it often, but when I do, it always reads true. I love it!
Tea Leaf Fortune Cards
I really don't know much about reading tea leaves, but these cards are just cool. They're small and round, and they come with a huge bag that you can 'shuffle' them in. I should definitely use these more than I do, but if I had to make a choice about my 10 decks, they would definitely make the cut.
The Arcane Bullshit Oracle
This deck is an irreverent collection of weirdness and I love it. Again, the husbear bought it for me, and that gives it a special place in my heart, but I honestly love how this deck thumbs its nose at how serious cartomancers can take themselves. It's a big 'fuck you' to anyone who can't take a joke, and I'm here for it.
Seasons of the Witch Samhain Oracle
This deck is MOODY AF. The art is stunning in shades of black and grey with pops of red, and the messages are creepy and eerie like you would want in a Samhain deck. And the red edges? COME ON. Beautiful. This deck is so much better than the Yule version, which screws everything up with all the thys and thous that are misused. It really begs to be used in the dark half of the year. The Mabon and Beltane editions are really great too, it's a shame the Yule oracle is written so weirdly. I'm sure I'll still collect all the sabbats.
The Herbal Astrology Oracle
This is still a pretty new deck to me, and I admit I haven't delved into it like I would like. But there's just SO MUCH TO LEARN and dive into with this deck. It's deep. And the first time I read with it, it gave a really intense reading that I won't go into details about because it hasn't come to pass yet. I can tell that this deck is accurate and will give good messages, though. I could spend years on this deck and still feel like I have more to learn. And the art is stunning! ******** So that's it! That's my list. How about you? Do you have some favorite decks that you could never part with? Or decks that you keep around because you keep intending to spend more time with them? What are your 10 decks? Let me know in the comments. Blessed be! Read the full article

It looks like we are off to a very good start.
The general plan is to learn about this Lenormand deck in the same way we recently explored the Publishing Goblin oracle dice and before that my new and much used Alleyman's Tarot Deck.
There is no teacher quite like experience, especially when it comes to something as subjective and individual as intuition and oracles. The basic strategy over the coming weeks is that I'll pull a random card (and post the draw on YouTube Shorts. I did that this week but the the technical glitch gremlins got to it)
After the random draw, we'll read it purely intuitively based on the collective energy of the day - just like we read the collective energies for the week each Monday.
Then I'll go to the guide book, which in this case is sparse, around a paragraph per card, and summarize what it says.
A word on guide books in general:
Use them as a tool, but not as an authority.
There is no dishonor in finding inspiration when you need it.
Guidebooks are great in situations like this to help you get comfortable with a new deck or technique. Guidebooks are essential when you are very first learning to read cards at all, like the DIY one card meditation readings you learn how to do in my book PeaceTarot.
Even after reading for 30 years, there are still times when I look at a card and get exactly nothing. Tarot readers are human and nobody is perfect. If you hit one of those I-got-nothin' moments then it is perfectly fine to fall back on either a guidebook or a memorized "meaning" It will prime the pump so speak, and spark the intuition that you need for genuine reading that is of the energy of the moment.
Today's card is The Dog.
The image on this particular deck is warm and sunny, and I associated it with all of the positive happy energies of the RWS major arcana card The Sun. Dogs are the essence of loyalty and friendship.
Clearly this is a good start for making friends with a new deck.
It has a sense of reciprocity today, too. "To make a friend, be a friend"
In the moment, it feels like making friends with this deck is going to be easy.
The guidebook doesn't add much, just reiterates the "faithfulness and loyalty"
The guidebook isn't much help in this little learning project we have going. I may just give the key words in the beginning and just give it an intuitive read from there.
Do you have any thoughts which would be more helpful to you? Comment if you like. Guidebook keywords at the beginning or end?
It's interesting that the card is connected to the 10 of hearts. You can read the suit of hearts much as you would the suit of cups in the RWS decks. It is about emotion, happiness, closest inner circle relationships....like your closest friends.
PeaceTarot also teaches you how to use playing cards in place of Tarot cards to use the guidebook meanings in PeaceTarot if you prefer playing cards or if you don't have access to a RWS style Tarot deck. 10 of hearts is equivalent to the 10 of cups, which has to do with happy family and happy (and loyal) relationships. It all fits.
If this card resonates for you today, it is a reminder to appreciate the friends and emotionally close people in your life. Tell them. Show them. Check in with them. Be a friend today.
If you are feeling friendless, befriend yourself. Just be patient and kind. It's like playing fetch with your favorite doggo...throw some kindness out there and life will fetch it back sooner or later.
Thank you for reading. The short and sweet newsletter for this week will post on Thursday morning.
See you at the next sip!

Hold off on devoting your time on studying divination unless you want to focus primarily on it. Divination practices are a rabbit hole of research, consumerism, artist support, and practice. Without mindfulness, it is very easy to lose sight of your other studies and/or practices.
Experiment with divination tools and methodologies. Everyone divines differently. Spend time finding what works best for you. What catches your eye at first may not work for you as well as another tool or method.
Interpretation is in the eye of the beholder. Hold off on doing public readings or reading services until you’ve found your eye and your voice.
Correspondences can play a huge part in divination, not so much as building a network of connected concepts like in spellwork, but for conceptual representation. Figure out what your correspondences are.
Some divination practices are aspects of closed cultures. Be sure to research and discuss divinatory practices before trying them. Through communication, you can definitely be inspired by closed practices in your own practice, while respecting the traditions they come from.
Divination is much safer than a lot of other practices, but it is a good idea to be aware of responsible precautions.
Remain aware of diviners that use divination to proselytize or pull clients into their own personal narratives. It isn’t super common, but occurs often enough to be in the back of your mind.
Understand that divinatory practices aren’t absolute. Since it is a practice that relies on interpretation and has differing methods of use, results can vary wildly. Take readings with a grain of salt.
If you receive a suspicious or ridiculous reading, especially if it involves a deity, be sure to get a second opinion.
Sometimes, you can be too close to a situation to do readings for yourself without biased interpretations. Knowing when it is responsible to get a reading from another practitioner is important.
Don’t just read about divination, talk to practitioners. See how other people interpret their tools and what methods they use.
There are hundreds of types of divination, a lot of them are a bit ambiguous. Try to start simple and work up to the more vague practices after you have some experience under your belt.
Superstitions and omens vary wildly based on cultural context and regionality. It is best to stay away from these methods until you have more experience.
Many divination tools can have similar methods of interpretations, for a lot of them numerology can be very beneficial to understand. Especially in cartomancy.
Inventing your own tool and/or divination system can be extremely beneficial. Doing so can aid in feeling more connected to your tool. On top of that you decide how readings are meant to be interpreted.
Beginner Friendly Types of Divination
Cartomancy: Tarot, Oracle, & Lenormand
Readings done with cards.
Often involves numerology
Is read in spreads, of which there are countless variations. You can even come up with your own.
Symbology, color, composition, contrast, and context can be super helpful or even necessary for interpretations.
Often somewhat rigid in structure. Oracle decks tend to be less structured.
How you pull from your deck can have a huge effect on how well you can connect with your deck. Play around with drawing methods.
A lot of contemporary decks have booklets with meanings, but these interpretations tend to be very fluffy. Divination can and should be capable of being harsh. Many websites, such as Biddytarot are also guilty of this. Many cards can be very double edged. It’s okay to use these as references at first, but I recommend pulling away from them when you feel comfortable.
Stay away from rip-off products. Try to buy directly from the artist.
Cleromancy: Bones, Dice, & Geomancy
Tossing or dropping objects and interpreting how they land.
For many tools, there are boards or mats that are also used for interpretation.
Certain methods of bone tossing are aspects of closed cultures. Be sure to do thorough research and discuss methods with practitioners of closed cultures.
Cleromancy systems are the easiest to come up with your own.
Play around with creating your own reading mats/boards. You’d be surprised at how much it can alter interpretations.
Can be the harshest of all types of divination.
Often takes the longest to interpret as there are a lot of variables to account for.
Dowsing: Rods & Pendulums
Swinging or swaying a tool and interpreting its movements.
The easiest to learn.
The type of divination that is most likely to be biased, as it can pick up on very subtle subconscious movements of the hands and arms.
Best for yes/no questions and location divination.
Pendulums are often used with a mat/board, but they are not necessary.
Tools are “programmed” before use. Meaning that the possible answers are all stated and decided on before a reading begins. Can be more important in spiritual methods of reading, but is a responsible practice regardless.
Can easily depend on headspace and focus.
Pendulums are often cheaply produced by corporations. Try to buy directly from artists, rather than from sites like Amazon.
Numerology:
The interpretations and correspondences of numbers.
Is often used in practices like “angel numbers”, which is a whole thing. I recommend reading this article by Coin And Candle about it.
Often plays a huge role in how many divination systems are interpreted.
Is the easiest type of divination and correspondence to lead into appropriative and crystal-fascist new age practices and philosophies.
Spiritual, Energetic, Chaotic, & Symbolic Divination Methods
Despite not being discussed very often, there are a few different ways to practice divination. What method is used can have a huge impact on how you connect with each reading and each tool. I recommend having a tool devoted to each method, but work with one until you’re comfortable with it before moving on to the next. There are numerous combinations of tools and methods, so it can end up taking a very long time before something clicks.
Spiritual Method: Using your intuition to feel for which cards, bones, dice, directions, etc to use, pull, and/or how to interpret them. Often requires a state of gnosis.
Energetic Method: Employing energy work to connect to a client and then using energetic senses to feel for which cards, bones, dice, directions, etc to use, pull, and/or how to interpret them. Often requires a state of gnosis.
Chaotic Method: The idea that the universe’s absurdity and serendipity will cause parts of tools and interpretations that are based off of each situation at hand. In this method, bias can be a good thing while remaining self-aware.
Symbolic: Solely using images, correspondences, and context to interpret cards. Similar to the chaotic method, but without the bias.
Self-Awareness During a Reading
As stated above, it is very easy to be biased in your interpretations. For this reason, it is important to remain self-aware. There are several ways to achieve this:
Do multiple readings with the same question.
Have your reading verified by another diviner, without giving them the entire context.
Take some time to reflect on the reading to see how your current context of the situation could have influenced your interpretations.
Take your interpretations directly from the guide books.
Take some time before a reading to try and step away from the situation.
Send a picture of the reading and the question to another diviner to see how they would interpret it.
Safety Practices
There is a lot of hype and fear mongering around divination, especially with tools like ouija boards. Things like “Evil spirits can come through and attack you”, and “You can never know what you’re connecting to” are very common. While these narratives have some truth to them, they are very much hyperbole and really only apply to the spiritual method. The largest danger when it comes to divination are people who use divination to manipulate others. This is typically done by pulling people into their personal narratives; like past lives, deity communication/godphoning, and things like “magic/astrral wars/battles”.
If you’re practicing the spiritual method I recommend cleansing the space, having wards in place, and remaining self-aware the entire time. While this gradually becomes less necessary with experience in spirit work, it is still a good idea.
Be weary of anyone who implies that the reading is a set in stone reading/future/etc. Avoid diviners who do medical readings, unless you have seen a medical professional first, at the very least. However, due to the nature of divination please remain aware that the reading is in no way absolute and there is no reason to be fearful if the reading is negative.
Divination is a form of advice. It can also be used for spirit communication, however it can be easy to get carried away in interpretations until more experience is gained.
KEEP CRYSTAL BALLS COVERED. They can bend light like a magnifying glass and can start fires!
Depending on your practice, and what you’re communicating with, it can also be wise to keep mirrors covered. The idea behind this is that it prevents spiritual entities from using the mirror to enter your space. I find that warding divination tools is sufficient enough most of the time.

Note
you NAILED it when you said a lot of indie ttrpgs are "rigid when i need openness and open where i need structure" like there is an art (and science) to deciding which mechanics fit the tone and intent of a game (and, frankly, and art/science to which mechanics even allow for fun) and I feel like that often gets glossed over in indie spaces.
Thanks! As a caveat, I am someone who primarily plays D&D, and a lot of my indie game knowledge beyond one-pagers is purely academic: it comes from a combination of watching actual play that uses different systems; discussions with friends who play different systems; and for lack of a better term informal research (following game designers, reading rule books).
This also means, frankly, that my primary experience with indie spaces (rather than games) has been through their absolute dregs: the specific sort of person who lurks in social media spaces searching for people mentioning either the games they Don't Like in a positive manner or the games they Do Like in a negative one, and then getting smarmy in the comments before the OP beats them with a spiked bat and blocks them and then they go off and make 2003 Nerd Media Forum Man comments of "oh...if only they would listen to my Logic and see the Truth" on their own blogs.
Most of the indie discourse has absolutely nothing to do with game mechanics, let alone setting or tone of the game, even though those are all crucial. People say the words "player agency" a lot but they don't actually mean it, since I guarantee if their players all unionized and said "hey instead of Crispy Dino Tender Knights, the d12 system for which your old roommate ran a successful Kickstarter campaign, could we play D&D?" they would tell those players to fuck off. Most of it is part of the general culture of identity through consumption, in which, in this space, you are not best described as a person who loves or plays horror or adventure or high fantasy (what you like and do) or even as someone with an interest in specific mechanics (a d20 system, a dice pool system, games based on tarot/oracle/playing cards, drawing/journaling games, GM-less games) but rather simply as someone who follows the arbitrarily correct companies. This is why Paizo (established in 2009; at one point was publishing the most popular TTRPG in the world; documented history of underpayment of artists and mistreatment of employees) is inexplicably treated, in many of these spaces, as more of an indie darling than Darrington Press.
(Sidebar: I think it's valid to not purchase from companies with values you find problematic and my point in bringing up Paizo is to point out that it's the second-largest name in the space and far from innocent, as well as to note that Hasbro has done some unbelievably awful stuff as of late. My problem is that indie spaces seem to overwhelmingly treat the two very separate and independently potentially true statements of "I don't like this company's practices, either for valid reasons of exploitative capitalism or for various personal gripes" and "the game system put out by this company is thoughtful, well-designed, and fits many people's needs, even if it does not fit mine" as entirely dependent on each other.)
A much shorter way to put it is how a number of smart people in the space have put it: when you ask for game recs and provide clear guidance on what you're interested in, the vast majority of people do not listen to you at all but instead bring up their favorite game even if said game is out of print, is prohibitively costly, and/or is truly unsuited for what you are intending to do. Because many, many people in the indie space, particularly the ones who engage with posts coming from those newer to it, seem to have defined themselves by their favorite game and then retroactively come up with reasons why it's the best and why everyone who plays something else, especially D&D, is stupid. This general second-banana mentality, of course, permanently cements them in that place, because they're so busy bashing everything they see as more popular that they define their favorites as games that are less popular and forget to explain why their favorites are actually good and back themselves into the corner we're seeing, in which people who champion one game will endlessly bash games that are remarkably similar and in doing so underline that this was never about gameplay or mechanics. (This is also really true in actual play spaces, and honestly a lot of nerdy media spaces.)
ANYWAY I think there absolutely should be a wide variety of games, and I even think it's good to have games with pretty strong similarities that are different enough to support different genres! I think more choice is great! But yeah, I think a lot of people who disparage specific mechanics (like a d20 system) on the whole do not actually think about what the game that uses those mechanics are trying to achieve. Again, I think PbtA as an engine does sound pretty fitting for its original use as Apocalypse World, but, not gonna lie, Monsterhearts is never going to be my thing and while I'm not sure it ever would, I think it could have been closer to my thing had the mechanics been customized to the setting more. I think games that put most of the rules onto RP segment of gameplay have a place, but it's really genre dependent! D&D does not support the same type of story as Good Society, and it's just as stupid to try to run the heroic fantasy system in the comedy of manners system as vice versa - and a lot of people do not understand that. Mechanics that make it easy to succeed (D&D) and mechanics that make it much harder (Blades in the Dark) and mechanics that ensure eventual failure (Dread, 10 Candles) all have their place, and both players and designers should be prepared to speak to their choices.

Houseplant Correspondences & Meanings
I've developed these correspondences as part of an oracle deck that I had planned to create but I need to actually draw them.
ANYWAYS here are some houseplants and their witchy correspondences!
Tumblr media
If you know me personally or have been following me for a while, you'll know that I'm obsessed with houseplants. So of course, being me, I've been trying to incorporate them into my practice.
Snake Plant (Dracaena trifasciata)
-Inner Strength, Positivity
Snake Plants can live and thrive even in difficult environments. This plant reminds you of your inner strength and of the positivity around you. You are capable of adapting to your situation. Be confident in yourself and your decisions, even if those decisions are hard to make.
These plants are also believed to have the ability to absorb negativity and release positivity, as a person this is someone who always shows you the bright side.
Rubber tree (Ficus elastica)
-Flexible, Lenient, Support
Rubber trees are diligent and flexible. The aerial roots of the rubber tree are used to build bridges in some places! These plants are able to be trained as they grow so that the tree is never harmed.
Things are changing and you seem to be handling it well, allowing yourself to go with the flow is the right choice. You may be the support for someone else going through a change right now, allowing them to lean on you and reflect on your love and kindness.
Ficus Elastica reminds you of your resilience, your ability to bend without breaking. You know that as time passes and things change you will only get stronger.
Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)
-Easy going, Care-free, Quick to recover
Perhaps it’s time that you allow yourself some freedom. This card urges you to practice some self-care–and that doesn’t just mean drinking a gallon of water and smearing on a mud mask–let yourself relax and have some fun. Hang out, like the vines of your friendly pothos.
This plant can also represent someone who is outgoing, carefree, and a true extrovert. Seek them out for support, they are a good companion to have.
Spider plant (Chlorophytum)
-Friendship, Community, Kinship
The spider plant is one of the easiest plants to propagate, making it an easy gift for those around you! This plant signifies a strong community and friendships. Take stock of the friends you have and let them know how grateful you are!
You can look toward and lean on your friends and your community, either for guidance or for a listening ear. Let yourself be a part of this community and know that it doesn’t make you any less of an individual to be part of something bigger than yourself.
Maidenhair Fern (Adiantum)
-Gentle, Careful
Maidenhair fern is soft to the touch, encouraging you to be gentle with yourself and those around you. Let yourself be taken care of and allow others to shower you in love and praise, you deserve it. You are being careful, and there is no shame in that, but without any trust in yourself or those around you, you may end up worse off. Let your hair down and have some fun.
ZZ Plant
-Resillient, Independent
The ZZ plant is known for thriving even with little outside help, it’s time to be like ZZ and be independent. You have the resilience and strength necessary to make it on your own. This doesn’t mean that you need to be alone, just that it’s time to stand with your own two feet.
This plant also reminds you that while being independent is certainly something to be proud of, it’s okay to reach out for help when you need it. Even the ZZ plant needs to be watered and given a little sunshine!
These correspondences are based on the history, meanings, and overall vibes of the plants. It's ok if you don't agree with these, as this is just a page from my grimoire that I'd like to share with other plant lovers.
ANYWAYS here are some houseplants and their witchy correspondences!

1k ask game celebration
OMG thank you guys SO much for 1k followers! I can't believe it. When I came back and posted Astro Observations I I had under 400 followers and not even 3 months later I have 1k. To celebrate, here are a few ask games you can participate in! I will absolutely try my hardest to get to all of these but when you get hundreds of asks flooding your inbox it can become extremely overwhelming so please bear with me if yours doesn't get done.
Rules:
💌 Must be following me. This is a followers only game and I will be checking.
💌 Must like and reblog this post so more people can see and join! If you want to be extra nice check out my masterlist.
💌 Please send it ONLY in the ask box. I will not answer if you send it in any other way. Anons are allowed for privacy reasons, but I would still prefer off anon.
💌 Must send in feedback of some type.
💌 Some of these games I have played before on my page. I ask that if you have already received a reading for them, please do not ask for them again so that others can participate.
💌 YOU MUST EITHER TELL ME WHAT GAME or send in the unique emoji for each game. READ the rules carefully for each game because each one will have a different emoji and different ask requirements.

Future Spouse Love Song Shufflemancy
Tumblr media
🎶 So, basically I have a playlist of over around 500 love songs. You will tell me how many times to shuffle and I will do so. The song I land on I will give you along with a channeled message from your future spouse based on the song.
🎶 I also have the entirety of Taylor Swift songs in a playlist and since Red is coming out November 12th...I think it would be perfect?
🎶 To be honest with you, this is by far the most time consuming yet the most fun? I was a music major in undergrad so analyzing music is a blast for me. But, because of how much effort this one takes I am limiting it severely. If you were able to participate in the trial run I did earlier, I ask that you don't this time so that others can get the chance. I promise, I will do more of these in the future.
🎶 Send in to the ask box: Initials, your favorite song right now, whether you want the love playlist or Taylor Swift Playlist. Also give me a number between 1-10, that will be the amount of times I will shuffle the playlist before landing on "your" song. Also send in this 🎶 emoji.
OPEN SPOTS: 15

Love Trope or Famous Couple
Tumblr media
❣️Thanks @ab13th for this suggestion! This is going to be what Love trope or Famous Couple will you and your FS be like? Answers may range from Enemies to Lovers to Hades and Persephone, Romeo & Juliet to Rory & Jess, Blair & Chuck etc. I will be doing this one purely through intuition.
❣️ Send in your: Initials, your favorite book or movie (can be a trope can be an actual title) , this ❣️emoji so I know what game you are doing.
OPEN SPOTS: 15
STATUS: closed
Okay that is all, Thank you so much again for 1k followers and I hope these ask games are going to be a blast for all of us! Remember to follow the rules and be kind in your asks :)
