this is from "when it finally rains, it's gonna pour" which is my m.p100 fic that's about ritsu's journey with his ts and accepting it! this is part of the scene that's like a ts retelling of the incident when they were younger <3 uhhh tw for violence?
Ritsu didn’t give up, though. He kept flailing about, hoping to kick him or something.
He was so angry, so upset that he didn’t even realize he started beeping. At this point, he was so used to hearing it that it blended in with the laughter roaring around him.
“What’s he doing?” one of the kids said, leaning forward so he was level with Ritsu’s face. “Hey, shut up, kid.”
“Hey!” Shige stepped forward now, his fists clenched and brows drawn together. “Don’t be mean to him. He can’t help it. Now let my brother go.”
Unsurprisingly, the laughter grew in volume—one of them was laughing so hard he doubled over. Ritsu didn’t like that they were laughing at his brother, but his heart grew a bit warmer, and he chirped in appreciation.
“You’re so weird,” the one holding him remarked, kneeing Ritsu in the gut.
Pain erupted through his body, coughs tore from his throat as Ritsu gasped for breath. Spit dribbled down his chin and along his neck.
And they kept laughing.
“Beep beep beep,” the kid said, his voice high-pitched, almost like he was singing.
It sounded wrong and grated in Ritsu’s ears. No, he didn’t like that—that was a bad sound. He shook his head, his own string of beeps spilling out.
These hurt, though. They weren’t like his normal beeps. They came out as if someone stuck their hand down his throat and forcefully dragged them out.
