Thanks for answering my ask before. If you don't mind me asking (again), can I ask, who are your top 10 favorite characters (can be from books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series)? Why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before......

HAHHA don't worry these asks are fun and i enjoy them so don't apologize for giving me a good time. i do apologise for taking such a long time w these asks, im actually horrible at articulating my thoughts (which is why i am not a writer HA) i think i might be forgetting some characters, or maybe i just dont have alot of faves

1. itoshi rin (blue lock)

i feel like he sticks out like a sore thumb here but he's very much no. 1... something about him being an antisocial introverted hater with abandonment issues, but also has skills to back up his arrogance and (besides all the hate he lets fester within him) actually has a pretty healthy lifestyle.

2. itadori yuuji (jujutsu kaisen)

everything about yuuji is so inherently GOOD and it both interests + pains me to see him being put through all these trials and tribulations of a dark shonen mc 😭

3. gojo satoru (jujutsu kaisen)

i think, like rin, what makes him so interesting is that he has this arrogant and disrespectful personality but then again he's literally the strongest so you cant do jack shit about it. but on the other hand he's this playful goofy (incapable) teacher who spoils his students. i also love OP (to the point it dont make sense) characters.

4. dazai osamu (bungo stray dogs)

i find his inability to be truly happy in any universe fascinating.

5. tachihara michizo (bungo stray dogs)

if i explained it would be major spoilers for s4 and s5 of bsd so i'll just say that his contribution to the plot in the recent seasons really did it for me. the jump from s1 to s4 was a KICK.

6. mikage reo (blue lock)

he's a sopping wet sock. i think this is what people call a gap moe... this perfect, highly capable and charming individual turns into the most pathetic instance of man when his best friend leaves him.

7. giorno giovanna (jojo's bizarre adventure: golden wind)

his birth origins are alr wild. his stand is wild. his battle strategies are wild. his ending is wild. he (alongside jotaro) is probably the least expressive but his personality is so unique lol. a lil rascal.

8. kita shinsuke (haikyuu!!)

its been a while since anyone has mentioned haikyuu for me but kita remains as one of my fav characters LOL i think he's just very refreshing since the cast is full of hungry teenage monsters eager to win and he's almost like a breeze of calm HAHA. the inarizaki team is also very dear to me bcs theyre packed w such cool and strong characters that interact dynamically lol

9. tsukumo yuki (jujutsu kaisen)

honestly, she was the most interesting female character in jujutsu kaisen (for me) until gege decided to trash her. her appearances from todo's flashbacks to her in shibuya were all so badass, plus shes a good example of a character type i really like that radiates strong-confident-fighter aura but isnt really the brooding/dark type... but fun! ykyk. (oot but i REALLY wanted yuki at #9 bcs of her name LOL, realistically she wouldve been at #7)

10. raiden ei (genshin impact) + raiden shogun

again, another insanely OP character that it doesn't even make sense. her lore is crazy. the second raiden quest was what got me hooked (best story quest ever lol), i honestly can't pinpoint what it is from that quest since its been a while but it changed my whole perspective on her and i've been a raiden fan since. a combination of design, personality, lore, and strength (and additionally the raiden ensemble)

favorite thing about them: i like how cheerful he is no matter the situation and the way he tries to make friends with everyone!

least favorite thing about them: i guess he can be too optimistic for his own good, but i wouldn't say that's a problem with him

favorite line: not quite a line but rather an action of him showing a bunch of action movies to trimmau and effectively ruining her vocabulary lol

brOTP: him and Jack! one of the best master/servant duos in strange fake!

OTP: Flat/Svin. they're very cute

nOTP: don't really have one? i guess him and Waver

random headcanon: he'll often bring his lunch to class and eat it loudly which really annoys everyone (especially waver) but they can't do anything about it

unpopular opinion: i dont think i have any

¤~°Scary Monsters! Screaming Halloween Show: Spooky Sweet°~¤

(Y/N) and Yuu felt the warmth of the sun on their backs as the two walk to Ramshackle. The two quiet as Grim chatters about on Yuu's shoulder. "Yuu, um.. Where exactly were you from before Twisted Wonderland?" The female dorm leader asked her vice dorm leader.

(Even though she thought Yuu would be suited much better as dorm leader.)

Yuu shrugs his shoulders lightly so Grim won't fall. His left hand and right hand carrying two bags, while (Y/N) carried the other bags with ease. "To be honest, I'm not really sure.. I don't really have time to think about it."

Yuu said plainly to (Y/N)'s question.The (h/c)-nette hummed in response. Not minding the young males simplistic wording. Instead she just smiled at him, "I'm from (Y/H), well... From what I remember."

She answered simply, like Yuu. "Huh. Really? I think I remember a place like that on the map, I don't think I've ever been there." (Y/N) (e/c) eyes widen, "maybe I could show you around if you ever visit! I think you would like it."

Yuu nods, smiling back at his crush. "Sure, I wouldn't mind." (Y/N) ruffled Yuu's head, his locks turning slightly messy. The male huffs at her antics as Grim laughs. "Sorry, couldn't help myself, you look cute when you pout. Kinda like Riddle!"

The female joked, Yuu only shakes his head as the two were finally on NRC grounds. Grim hops off Yuu shoulder and fly to Ramshackle without the two. Chanting that he wants to eat tuna. "Grim..!"

Yuu calls out to the furball, who didn't hear Yuu. "Fnga!! A monster!" Grim cries as a paper dragon was covering the Ramshackle grounds. Not seeing the students scattered around the area. Working diligently on decorating the whole place.

(Y/N)'s mouth turns into a excited grin, while Yuu looks at it confusingly. Not knowing of the spooky event they would soon participate in!

(Y/N) hears a knock on the Ramschakle dorm, curiously. She gets up from her spot on the couch and goes to open the door. Unlocking the front door, the female looks around the area. Not a single ghost, person, beastman, fae, in sight. Only a lonely brown package at the bottom of the floor.

(Y/N) picks up the box carefully and takes it inside. When walking to the lounge room, the three ghosts that lived in Rambschakle float down stairs to see what's up. (Y/N) sits back on the couch, with the average sized box sitting on her lap. "Did you three order something?" (Y/N) asked undead friends, the three shook their heads.

"I wonder what's in it?" One of three spoke up."Maybe it's something from the headmaster?" (Y/N) nods, "it could be.." She mutters quietly to herself.

(Y/N) opens the package with hesitation in each of her movements. A piece of (color) neatly folded fabric was in the box. "Huh?" Taking the fabric out, it reveals to be a lot more fabrics!?? (Y/N) and three ghosts look over the first piece of cloth and fabrics that had been in the box.

While the other colorful fabrics still sat at the bottom of the package. "Why is this here..?" (Y/N) asked, holding the (color) cloth up in front of three ghosts. "It must be left overs from the Diasomnia dorm!" The chubby ghost shouted in glee.

"Oh, right! It was probably for their costumes for the Halloween event!" The young female said, but was still puzzled. "Where did this even come from..?" "It came from the box," the smaller ghost said. "Right.. what I meant was, who sent it here?"

Pouring out the fabrics from the box to see if there was a note, or a price tag, nothing was there. "Strange.." The slinky ghost said as he rubbed his chin. (Y/N) could agree with that, but she was more drawn to the cloths scattered around on the couch. A idea pops in her head as she folds up the cloths and lays the dress on the couch.

"I think I got a idea on what to use this for. You three, please protect the stuff on the couch and watch over Yuu and Grim. I need to get some stuff from Mr. Sams shop!" (Y/N) ran out of Ramshackle and tried not to knock into the paper dragon that Senior Vanrouge and his other dorm members worked on.

Not seeing Yuu's confused stare from one of the Ramshackle window's. Once she had returned, she had a pumpkin in one hand. A bag in the other. "It's time to REALLY get into the spirit of Halloween!" (Y/N) placed the pumpkin on the counter and heads up stairs to Yuu/Grims room.

Not before taking the "mystery" box with her.

It was finally Halloween week! The decorations and costumes were ready. The Halloween committee had decided to drop by Ramshackle to make sure everything was in order. "Wow, everything looks great!" Kalim said with enthusiasm as his ruby eyes shined.

Mallues turns a bit smug after Kalim priase. "Thank you, the Di dorm worked very hard on this." Lilia chuckles at the dorm leader and his haughty tone. Cater takes a few pics, while Deuce looks around. "Where's (Y/N), Yuu and Grim? Shouldn't they have met up with us now?"

"Maybe something came up?" Epel said, looking around the area as well. Vil sighs, "being fashionably late is not something you should do." Jack ears perk up as footsteps came towards the group. "I hear something, I think their on there way here."

Jack was most definitely right about that! Grim came to the group first before the dorm leaders. "Nyaha! Stare at the AMAZING Grim and his awesome costume!" The little feline shouted in pride and glee. His little hat tipping a bit.

"Grim! You're a ghost for Halloween?" Deuce questioned Grim, the furball gives a toothy grin. "Of course!" "What about the others.." Idia asks quietly.

A tired sigh escaped a familiar vice-prefect. Yuu showed a few steps behind Grim. "Hey guys, sorry for being late." Yuu apologized, yet the student didn't look exactly like himself at all! Yuu was dressed up today.

Yuu wore loose white shirt and a slightly grayish vest that had a tail coat attached behind him.The vest had small spider web designs that were a light shade blue, even some at the tail coats end. A pair of simple white pants and shoes. Yuu hair was rather messy, but looked very fluffy.

The final touch was a blue bow-tie that wrapped around his neck.

"You two look great!" Cater said as he started to take a few photos. "Not bad, Yuu!" Deuce says as he pats his friends back rather harshly. Yuu does his best not to double take and nods at his fellow first year.

"Thanks. You should tell (Y/N) and the ghosts that. They worked hard on them."

Almost like a genie being called. The female appeared before the group. "I'm glad you guys liked it." The (h/c) haired female said. "I had no clue what to do durring costume making, I'm greatful the ghosts had helped out."

The dorm leader says bashfully, rubbing the back of neck. "So.. What do you think!" She said with smirk, a creepy gleam in her eyes. The Halloween committee stares at her with awe.

(Y/N) wore a (f/c) dress that had bits of rips and tears. A few peices of uneven fabric hanged off her dress, almost like someone had clawed at it. Splashes of fake blood covered some areas of the dress. A simple white sash was also on her dress, covered in hints of fake blood as well. The sash said "Queen" on it in pretty hand writing.

A plastic tiara was placed crookedly on her head head. Her hair (styled/same). She held a knife in her hands that was drenched in fake blood. "Pretty cool right?" (Y/N) asked the the group.

A confident smile on her face as she waited for someone to respond. Surprisingly, Idia was the first to talk. "You look so.. MOE!" Idia fanboys internally at her costume.

Azul doesn't comment on his friends wording, he just stares at (Y/N) choice of outfit. "What was your thought process for these costumes, (Y/N)?" Jade asked for Azul. Even if the Leech brother was also in slight shock. Which was uncommon to him most days.

(Y/N) swings the knife around, like she was playing hot patato with it. But stops after Jade asked his question. "Er.. well you see. In Yuu's and my world, there was a story or song.. I can't really remember which?"

"But, it was a song about girl who wanted to become the "queen" of her dance that her school was having. Though someone stole her dream and she went on a murderous rampage during the party. Her name was Sarra, I think.. It's a bit fuzzy trying to remember. Anyway, I was inspired by it and then made these costumes with the ghosts help!"

(Y/N) explained, yet Vil looks at her with confusion. "Where did even get those clothes?" Vil gestured to her dress and Yuu's outfit. "I found them outside of Ramshackle. I think it was leftovers of from the Diasomnia dorm?"

"The rest I bought at Sam's shop using some of my paycheck." Yuu overheard her and looks at (Y/N) with worry. "Oh, I see." The handsome vampire said, walking over to her. Vil gently grips her chin, looking over her face.

"Hmm." He hummed, caressing one of her cheeks. "You need to put on some make-up." Vil says as he let's go of her. Pulling out a tiny tube of lipstick, he carefully applied it to her lips.

"I'll put on the rest once we are inside." Not caring for the hateful or unhappy stares of the Halloween committee. Vil goes back to Epel side. The first year looks anywhere but his dorm leader. His fists clenching tightly.

Kalim joyfully jumps over to (Y/N), "you look so pretty! And scary too!" Caring very little on how close they were. The fake werewolf holds her arm as he bombarded (Y/N) with sweet compliments. Cater steps in front of the two.

"(Y/N)-Chan~ Mind if I take a pic of you? Your super scary cute right now!" The female nods as Cater starts snapping a few photos. Hashtaging the pics under, super cute, NRC Halloween event! Cater then takes a selfie as well after, "thanks (Y/N)-Chan!"

"I think it's time to get going." Jack tells the group. Everyone agreed and started to walk to the main campus. Yuu and (Y/N) stayed in the back of group. "You didn't tell me you used your paycheck."

Yuu said as he stared at the female straight in the eye. The (h/c)-nette hurriedly says that she still has enough money for other necessities the three might need in the future. But Yuu only shakes their head, "I could of pitched in." "No way Yuu, you already used most of your Madols on groceries. You need to relax once in awhile and let me treat you!"

Yuu still was not convinced, (Y/N) sighs at him. "We can talk about this later. Right now, I want you to enjoy yourself tonight!" (Y/N) said with a determined, but a pleadding look in her (e/c) eyes. Yuu goes silent, though finally caved in. "Alright.."

-oop they’re going back into cancel culture when Train reads out a tweet: ~3:34:00 I can’t summarize this, this is a little too deep for my sleepy brain, but I feel like train is talking about how quick to judge people are almost being ready to jump the gun just to cancel someone thinking that that person wanted to cancel him, but Dream is pointing out that both sides don’t really understand each other and that person probably wasn’t trying to cancel Train. Jack also spoke up to help clarify to which you could hear Dream agreeing.

Dream acknowledges that there is a need for creators to make an effort to understand discussion that goes around and to be respectful at the same time, admitting that he’s reacted in anger in the past and disregarded discussions.

^ There were a lot of points made, and I didn’t get all of dream’s responses. It was interesting conversation because we have Train being honest and venting his frustrations about cancel culture which I can sympathize with. Dream (and Jack) spoke up a lot during the whole thing to try to shift Train’s point of view and the things he said were really admirable

Dream brings up the thing that happened with charlie a while back and said he dm’d charlie about that misunderstanding as dream puts it- and says that they are good now and saying something along the lines of open communication being so important

- Someone: “the only thing that matters is that my wife doesn’t cancel me.” Dream: “that’s really sweet” <- no u

- “Would you let your kids watch on Twitch” Dream: As long as you’re aware and know about Twitch and Youtube, and as long as you teach your kids internet safety it should be fine

The halfbreed kind of smiled, something about this man seemed completely harmless but that didn’t mean her guard went down so easily. Almost glowing green eyes glanced over at the pool table and the defective leg, it was almost unfair he had to run the business having things like that. The woman seemed to giggle a bit and shake her head seeing what it was being held up by, but said nothing; humans were humans after all for a reason. “I appreciate that you would be willing to throw a guy out like that due to the fact that he was being a pig, I will consider it for next time since I live around the area now.” Kira tilted her head slightly to the side sitting across from the male now.

She was slowly learning about everyone since she was an assassin for hire, she knew about Moe very well but she would play along with being innocent for the time being. When it came to people’s shame it hadn’t bothered her since she was a demon well partially. “You can call me Kira Celest…well just Kira is fine, I came in from New York on business, my job had me transferred here not a very exciting job just a teacher of sorts…and from the name outside you must be Moe right?” She asked, one hear twitching to the side when he talked about it, her tail swaying to the side slightly to show that it too was there. She loved having to explain about them, how they were in fact real.

“Well, they aren’t animatronics…..go ahead and touch them you’ll see I’m not lying.”She motioned him to actually touch her ears he would see that there was blood flowing through them and they were very much real.

He could only hope she wasn’t acquainted with a certain Edna Krabappel. ❝You, uhh, wouldn’t happen ta be teachin’ at Springfield Elementary, would ya’s?❞ he inquired a little tensely, moderately fretting over what little details she may have heard or been warned about from the fourth grade teacher he’d once dated. ‘Dated’ being an extremely minimising word for the plans they’d once shared to move away together to start a new life - until her zeal for teaching wayward kids was suddenly passionately reignited upon meeting the troubled, little puke-stain on society known as Bart Simpson, whom just happened to be the ten-year-old son of his best friend. Deep down, he knew he couldn’t blame Bart for Edna leaving him, and he didn’t...but it was vaguely comforting to keep on telling himself that it wasn’t his fault, despite knowing there must have been some underlying issue with their relationship that Edna wasn’t telling him. She’d probably grown bored of him, or seen too many faults...that was why she’d backed out at the last minute. Either that or she was no longer capable of stifling her vomit upon kissing such a hideously ugly gargoyle like him. He tried not to dwell on that too much, but the insecurity instilled in him from past relationships nagged at his every interaction with a beautiful woman, in defiance of how confident he may sometimes appear - but the truth always came out, in the end, much like he feared would the details of how he’d gone completely fucking ballistic upon Edna’s renunciation of their love, making a fool out of not only himself, but Edna, as he cursed & ranted unintelligibly outside her working establishment - a.k.a. the school filled with a hundred impressionable children, each of them learning a whole string of new words they were far too young to know the definitions of. He had slandered her to Hell & back, using only the crudest words he could think of. It wasn’t a tale that painted the most stable picture of Moe Szyslak, and Edna was just one of the women he’d frightened off. In fact, it was one of the arguably less awful break-ups he’d acted out. Even when given the opportunity to reconcile, he fucked it up by confessing what Edna had described as, if he could recall, his “sick propensities”. If any woman knew what was good for her, she wouldn’t humour the likes of him. At all. Moe rubbed the back of his neck in diffidence. ❝Uh, yeah, dat’s me! Moe. Moe Szyslak.❞ he confirmed with decreasing enthusiasm as beady eyes gazed around at the austere squalor he called his tavern. He should be ashamed of that fucking place. Part of him was, though another was attached to it.

When she proclaimed the authenticity of her fox ears, Moe seemed to perk up in amusement, folding his arms over his chest in disbelief. Well, he wasn’t about to refuse the opportunity to touch any part of her - animal headband or not - though, he wore a doubtful smirk as he laughed away her insistence, reaching out. ❝What, ya think I’m really gonna believe those ears are rea - huh - WHAAAA - ?!❞ Holy crap, she wasn’t kidding! Her ears were probably the most real thing about her! Well, that was it. The furry fandom had finally gone too far! ❝Did you have those surgically attached to the top’a ya head?! Is dat - is dat even a thing?! OH!❞ he exclaimed, smacking his palm upside his head in complete dismay, ❝Oh, jeez, ya got a tail ta match!❞ Um, maybe, shut your fucking mouth??? ❝Uh, ahah, I-I mean - I didn’t mean that - gee, I’m sorry. No - no judgements or nothin’!❞ he quickly attempted to reverse, waving his hands out in front of him in a fit of panic, ❝Especially seein’ as I ain’t legally allowed ta make judgements, no more, but - uh - I just never seen nothin’ like dis, before!❞ he chuckled sheepishly, looking on at her with a look of discomfiture. What the Hell was he seeing, here?! This was impossible!

Leaving, Part Six

Paring: Tony Stark x reader

A/N: I’m sorry it took so long to update. I had writer’s block and I’ve been going through a lot of things.

We decide to stay at the tower that night. It feels good to be back in my own bed. Even though Tony bought all new furnishings for the apartment, it doesn’t feel the same. I miss our home. I miss Tony, but I don’t know if I can forgive him yet.

As I lay in our bed, I stare at my bedside table. It’s only been a couple weeks since I left, has he really changed? Had the thought of losing the kids and I shaken him enough? The door creaks open, shutting my rampant thoughts off.

“Babe?” Tony whispers as he makes his way over to his side of the bed.

I roll over slightly. “Yes?”

“Can I sleep in here with you?” he asks. I feel my eyes widen. Rolling back over, I grab my phone and check the time. It was only 10:38.

“You’re not going to stay out in the lab or something?”

“No, I’ve missed you. I wanted to cuddle. Is that okay?” he sounds worried.

“Yeah, that’s fine.”

He quickly strips down to his boxers and gets into bed. I scoot over towards him and he wraps his arms around me, tucking me under his chin.

“(Y/N)?” he says after a moment of laying together.

“Hmm?”

He clears his throat. “I want you to know how much I love you. (Y/N), I really love you. You and the boys are my life. And I’m sorry I hadn’t shown that to you in so long. I’m sorry for the drinking and the partying and the staying late in the lab.” He takes a deep breath. “When you left, it really opened my eyes to how I was treating you. When I got home from confronting you at that motel, I was a wreck. I…that night I got rid of all the liquor in the tower.” My heart stutters. “I want to prove to you that I’m going to be there for you and the boys, I…” I cut him off and unfold myself from under his chin. I take his face in my hands.

“You tossed all the alcohol? There’s not a single drop in the tower?” I couldn’t believe the words coming out of my mouth.

“It’s all gone.”

I kiss him softly on the lips. “Promise?”

“Promise,” he nods. I can’t bear the thought of losing you guys. I lean my forehead against his and smile.

“That’s a good first step, Tones,”

“Will you move back in?” he asks hopefully. I sit back a bit.

“It was more than just the drinking though,” I sigh.

“I know, and I’m trying to be there for you guys all that I can. But I would feel more comfortable with you guys living here, especially since you’re pregnant,” he says.

I hadn’t thought of that. My head slumps against his chest. “Are you gonna freak out again with this pregnancy?”

“I don’t freak out,” he says defensively.

“Yes, you do!” I laugh.

“Maybe,” he laughs with me. “I missed this.”

“Me too.” I lay back down and bed and turn on my side. He puts his arm around my waist.

“I hate to ruin the mood, but, when are we going to talk about what happened?” he says.

I stay quiet for a moment. “You know what happened. Jack has powers. James will too.”

“He has the same powers as you?”

“It seems like it.”

“Are you okay with that?” he asks quietly.

“I don’t love him any less. I’m just…scared.”

“I know. But he’ll be fine, baby,” he promises.

“I hope so.”

The next morning I’m woken up by two small humans bouncing on the bed.

“Mommy! Wake up Mommy!” James sings.

“Hey, hey, hey! Leave her alone! Let Mommy sleep!” Tony says sternly. The bouncing stops, and the weight is lifted from the bed. Tony must have picked up both boys.

“Daddy! I’m upside down!” Jack giggles.

“Put me down!” James shouts. I hear playful scuffling.

I rub my eyes open and sit up. Tony is holding both boys upside down by their waists, their little feet kicking in the air. They both have wide smiles on their faces.

“What are my boys doing?” I ask playfully.

“Help Mama! Help us from Daddy!” shouts Jack.

“I don’t know. Do you need help?” I ask crawling to the edge of the bed where they’re at.

“Yes!” they shout.

“I think you need to be tickled!” I yell and start tickling their bellies with my hands. They start shrieking and wiggling around.

“Help! Help us!” the boy are shouting.

“No one will hear your screams!” I laugh and take James from Tony, laying him on the bed underneath me. “I’m going to eat you!” I tickle his ribs and pretend to eat at his cheek.

“Daddy! Daddy!” James giggles. “Jack help me!”

“Oh, now you want my help, eh?” Tony teases. He flips Jack around so that he’s up right and puts him on his shoulders.

“What do you think, Daddy? Should we put them both in a stew and eat them from dinner?” I ask Tony while both boys giggle.

“No! Mommy don’t eat my brother!” Jack says, trying to get down from Tony’s neck.

“Hmm, I don’t think they’d taste very good!” Tony says, letting Jack down.

Jack jumps on the bed and “saves” his brother from me.

“I think you’re right,” I say and sit back in bed.

“Guess what, Mommy!” James says, sitting up.

“What, sweetheart?”

“Auntie Nat and Auntie Pep are taking me and Jack and Eli and Hudsie to the zoo!”

“So you talked them into that, huh?” I say and stand up. I kiss Tony’s cheek and head towards the bathroom. “I’m going to shower. I’ll be down stairs in a bit, okay?”

“Okay!” They both run out of the bedroom. Tony opens his mouth.

“No, you can’t join.” He closes his mouth and grins at me. “Wait down stairs.” He leaves our room.

I run my head under the hot stream once I’m in the shower. This feels like the only place I can truly relax, but I try to be quick.

Once I’m clean, I get out and get dressed. Just as I’m finished drying my hair there’s a knock on the door.

“Come in.”

“Hey, the kids are about to leave,” Tony says as he opens the door.

“Okay, let’s go see them off.” We head into the living room.

After a thousand kisses and hugs Pepper and Natasha finally get them out the door. Then it’s just me an Tony.

“When’s the appointment?” I ask.

“Soon,” he answers and wraps his arms around me.

“When’s soon?”

He checks his watch. “We should probably go now.”

“Oh, really? Okay.” I put my coat on and we make our way out the door.

The ride to the clinic is quiet. I can feel his excitement, it mixes in the air with mine. Thoughts swirl through my mind. Would it be two babies again? Would they be boys? Maybe I could get a little girl this time.

When Tony pulls into the parking lot my mind is still racing. He looks over at me, his eyes light and playful. “Ready?”

“Ready,” I smile at him. We hop out of the car and head inside.

After filling out some paperwork we sit in silence holding hands, waiting for my name to be called. Five minutes go by, and Tony starts to get impatient. I rub my hands on his to try and comfort him.

A nurse comes out from the back. “Mrs. Stark?” she calls. We both stand up.

“Where’s Dr. Moe?” Tony asks worriedly.

“Oh, she’ll be in after I check (Y/N)’s blood pressure. We know your prefaces Mr. Stark.” The nurse smiles at him.

She checks my blood pressure and makes a few notes on her clipboard and then leaves. It’s not long after that, that Dr. Moe comes in.

“Hey guys! Back so soon?” She jokes.

“Yeah,” I laugh.

“I figure you’ll want pictures, Tony?” She asks already knowing the answer. She sets up the ultrasound.

“Okay, let’s see here, looks like you’re about ten weeks along. I can’t tell you the genders, but I can tell you –”

“There’s more than one?” I interrupt.

“Of course,” she laughs. “You and Tony are probably the most fertile couple I’ve met. But let’s count how many this time. Let’s see…baby one is here,” she points on the screen. “Here’s baby number two,” she points again. “And…there’s baby number three! You’re having triplets!”

Oak Avenue by Brandi Reeds

This book is so terrible. How clique can you be? Writing this book will tell you how clique one can be. So short story is full of cliques, is slow, and there is no twist, blood spatter, questions answered, or anything of value. This short is one of useless existence.

The story begins with Anastasia with her baby living in a big house in, I forget where but let’s say small town Georgia. While her husband is away working in New York City, she stays and remodels the old house and her hired diggers found an old door buried in the ground. She ends up installing inside the house and soon strange things begin to happen. This includes noises, corn flakes crumbled up, and her husband acting like a drunk abusive man towards her when he returns from work. The town seems hostile to Anastasia due to her being an out of towner, so she is existentially all alone in her haunted house.

So yeah, the story is about a haunted door, pretty stupid. The author Brandi Reeds must have also though so because she switches the story from haunted house to Shining style murder forecaster, with the story changing from about a haunted house to domestic abuse.

This all doesn’t matter anyways because the short ends pretty much rushed and without an ending. Once the author decides to actually stop being cliched and has pretty much set up the story line, the book starts to explain the ‘haunting’ that occurs (which is pretty stupid due to it being a simple explanation) and then ends. What?! So why was there a haunting to begin with? Is there a ghost? What about Anastasia’s husband’s changing Jack Torrence attitude? Is that all made up? What connection is there between his so called new attitude and the ghosts that the story essentially forgets about? Why does Anastasia’s baby keep saying ‘Moe’ over and over again? The author thought it was important enough to keep repeating over and over again even thou the book ends up dismissing it and is never mentioned again. Why is the town hostile to Anastasia? Are they all just small town redneck hicks that are mad that her husband married a out of towner instead of family members inbreds? Is the town related to the haunted door? Why is 1976 the date a haunting decided to occur? I know that the book says that a character doesn’t know but why even be that specific if you are going to ignore it?

So many plot holes and bad story writing. This book seriously feels like Reeds was writing two different stories. Actually it feels more like she was writing two different stories as a first draft with many ideas but then Amazon called her and informed her that the due date was coming up and Reeds just tacked on a ‘ending’ to submit her work. Either that or Reeds is just a bad writer, for which then I ask ‘how can I get a short story for the Amazon Original Stories series?’.

Reeds is pretty just a bad writer. Look at the characters. Anastasia just cries all the time. She makes dumb decisions, especially regarding her husband. Her husbands just comes off like a complete jerk. He is surprised and dumbfounded by Anastasia’s claims, which don’t matter if they are real or not, this is all his fault for buying the stupid house. Money tight? Your fault for buying the dumb house. Town against your wife? Your fault for not introducing her to the town or even standing up for her. In fact they should be hostile against you for leaving the town and living and working in the big bad town of New York City selling your soul and values for money. Reeds did not write a domestic abuse subplot/metaphor in the short because she is probably a bad writer. We never know if Anastasia is telling the truth when she says that husband never act like this before because in all the time he is in the book he is nothing but an asshole. We never get an explanation why her in-laws are against her despite years of knowing about her and she has a granddaughter for them (don’t forget when grandma decides to go inside the house randomly one day after a haunting occur during which Anastasia and the baby flee, so she essentially breaks into an empty messy house only because the plot demanded she do).

Ugh this story is so bad. It is probably because it is unfinished. But since it got published and sold, I will not show mercy and neither should you. Fuck this book and the author. Fuck this book a COMPLETE WASTE of time that I wish that I could have back. SKIP SKIP SKIP SKIP SKIP SKIP!

P.S. Also the audible version of this book has a bad narrator who tries to over add unique voices to each character. I guess there is nothing good about this book.

Sorry if this review is much pretty a rant, I fucking hated this shitty book.
