Your name was being screamed across the ship by none other than the captain himself. He was excited to show you a new goofy trick that Chopper and him had come up with. But when he didn’t receive any response from you, he turned to the small reindeer with a confused expression.

-Oi, where is y/n ?

-She said she felt dizzy so she went to lie down in her room.

Nami answered him while putting down her magazine. She furrowed her eyebrows now also worried about your silent behaviour. It’s been now around three hours since you had left. You weren’t one to be overly loud like your boyfriend, but having you completely out of sight was worrisome.

-Aahh?! Nami! You should’ve told me she was feeling unwell!

Chopper screamed worried as he ran across the ship to grab his medical bag. He ran to your room, soon followed by Luffy and Nami.

As they opened the door, they watched your frame all curled up in the sheets as if it was cold outside. Luffy ran to you and touched your warm forehead.

-Chopper ! She’s burning hot! Do something!

-Yes!

Your eyes slightly opened from all the noises suddenly filled in your room.

-Everyone…what are y’all doing here…

-Y/N! ARE YOU OKAY?!

Luffy screamed happy to see you awake.

-DON’T SCREAM LIKE THAT! ITS NOT GONNA HELP HER HEADACHE AND FEVER!

-You are one to talk…, he mumbled under his breath after being yelled at by Nami.

-I think you simply caught a cold. I will ask Sanji to make you something warm and you will eat some medicine to help your fever go down.

Chopper concluded as he looked at you with his big eyes, reassuring you that you will be okay. You weakly smiled.

-Thank you, Choppy

-Y/N! I will keep you company until you feel better !

He announced suddenly determined. He caressed your hair softly and his eyes filled with worries. Nami shook her head and gave you a sorry smile.

-You don’t have to… I’m fine…

-No, you’re not. I will stay here with you until you are yourself again. I won’t leave you alone.

He retorted suddenly full of seriousness. It wasn’t like him to be so serious about things in general, but seeing him like that with you made your heart warm.

He indeed stayed the whole day and the day after too. He kept you company until you started feeling better.

He tried to make you laugh by telling you stupid stories about his childhood and doing goofy ass shit. He would ask Sanji to make you the best nutritive food he could so you will heal faster. He cuddled with you at night even though Chopper told him he could catch your cold. He tried his best to brush your hair, but he let that to Nami after failing miserably 💀.

He tried his best to make you forget you were suffering even though it could be just for a second. If he was able to make you smile, he considered you were slowly getting better. He loves you so much. So for him, you needed to stay by his side until you both achieved your goals and more, and he was gonna make sure of it.

Zoro

-Zoro, I think we’re lost.

-No we are not.

He said convinced of himself. You rolled your eyes well aware of the direction skills of your boyfriend. Y’all stopped for a second trying to figure your position (mostly you) in this jungle. You leaned against a tree and let your body slide down until you were sat on the ground. Your head leaned on the tree as you searched for the map you found on the ground yesterday.

-Aren’t you a bit too exhausted for a little walk in the forest?

Zoro teased unaware with a slight chuckle as he watched your frame completely relying on the tree to hold your body. You have been sweating a lot more than you are used to and fatigue waves were hitting your body since y’all slept in this jungle. You didn’t say anything not wanting to worry your boyfriend or the crew, but it was starting to take a toll on you.

-Yeah, I don’t know…

You replied without much interest to bicker with him. You pulled the map out of your bag and started to try to localize y’all position.

-Hey, are you okay?

You feel your boyfriend tower over you, creating a much needed shade. You blinked at him as you felt your vision getting weak and nodded. He shook his head and leaned towards you and placed his hand on your forehead.

-You are burning. We need to get you to Chopper.

-No don’t bother, I’m alright. It’s probably the heat from this place.

-Y/n, you’re obviously not feeling your best. You’re sweating and your body is barely keeping you conscious at this rate.

-I’m fine seriously.

You insisted with now tears in your eyes because of a sudden sharp pain you felt in your head. You had a bad headache in the morning but it seemed to have left, but now it came back even worse. Zoro eyes filled with worries seeing your eyes get teary. He picked up your body in a bridal style and pecked your forehead.

-Okay let’s try to find the others as quick as we can.

You chuckled knowing it would probably take hours with his poor direction skills. You let your head rest on his chest and closed your eyes. You trusted him no matter what anyway.

-Okay

It was the last word you said before you fell asleep in his arms. Sanji and Chopper had randomly fell on the both of you as Zoro was walking with you in his arms and yelling the crews name to grab their attention. He explained shortly the situation to the doctor. They decided it would be better to head back to the ship.

After some time you opened your eyes and saw y’all were still walking in this warm jungle, but with now Sanji at the front followed by Chopper.

-You’re awake? How do you feel?

Zoro deep voice asked you softly, but his eyes were still following the cooks figure.

-I’m okay, thank you for carrying me.

He didn’t reply but simply smiled and nodded. His eyes looked down at you with a rare grin.

-Let’s just heal you already so we can go back to our explorations.

-More like finding our way out of being lost, you mumble weakly with a weak smirk.

-Yeah yeah whatever.

Sanji

-What a beautiful day, especially when I’m accompanied by my beautiful lady~

Sanji exclaimed while lightening up the cigarette at the edge of his lips. He tightened slightly his grip of your hand as he gave you a sweet look. You chuckled and rested your head for few seconds on his shoulders.

-Of course, how could I say no to a grocery shopping with my beloved man.

He blushed like crazy at the nickname and left a quick kiss on your cheek.

-AHHHH, Im so lucky to have you~ Look! The vegetables look fresh which is perfect when we have to sail for a long time.

He excitedly walked to the few standing shops to see the quality of the vegetables and you followed behind him, your hands still intertwined in his.

You weren’t paying much attention to what he was saying due to a little fever you caught this morning. You didn’t know the cause but you were still able to function, it was just giving you a harder time to do simple task. Like walking around the new island and spending time with your boyfriend, it was surprisingly more demanding than you would’ve thought.

-Did I lost you, ma jolie ?

He asked worried that he got carried away with his excitement to try new ingredients and buy fresh food for everyone. You used your other hand to caress his arm and reassure him.

-Of course not, I’m sorry. I think the heat is getting to me, it’s making me feel a little dizzy.

-Would you like to sit somewhere in the shade until you feel better ? We can go back to the ship if you want? I will make you something refreshing.

-I think sitting in the shade for a moment could help.

-Alright my love.

He kissed you once again and you two walked to a cafe and sat on one of the table on the terrasse. He ordered a cold drink for each of you. You closed your eyes and let your body lean over the back of the chair. You felt nauseous on top of the fever, it wasn’t your day.

-You look pale, darling.

Sanji expressed in a soft and worried tone.

-I think I’m sick, you retorted plainly, accepting your fate. You hated being sick but you knew not to push yourself too hard to heal faster.

-Should we head back to the Sunny ?

-I will. You still have to shop for the food. It’s important.

-You are important too. It won’t kill anyone if I do it tomorrow or later.

-Sanji, we can’t afford staying somewhere too long. Robin stayed on the ship, I’m sure we will figure something out until Chopper comes back.

-Are you sure darling? Let me at least walk you to ship and make sure you are okay before I go. Please?

You sighed and a smile curved your lips.

-I cant say no to you, can’t I ?

He smirked satisfied. After drinking your refreshers and paying, you both started to walk to the Sunny.

-Do you want me to carry you?

Sanji asked looking down at you. You were walking a little slow and you seemed out of breath. Your sweaty hand was tightly holding into your boyfriends one. He pushed your hair behind your ear and you blushed a little.

-I think I can do it…

-Like I’m gonna let my lady walk all the way to the ship in a sickness state.

He retorted determined after you turned him down. You secretly smiled to yourself. You loved how much of gentleman he was. He carried you all the way to the Sunny and asked Robin to take care of you until the doctor was back from his exploration.

He made sure she would run to any doctor if your state got worse. You reassured him it was simply a little fever and you were fine. He reluctantly left after making sure you were all comfortable in your sheets, that you had your favourite snacks, a big water bottle, your favorite books, etc.

-You are sure, you don’t want me to stay?

-Sanji, I swear to god if you don’t go I will kick your ass out of the boat.

He caressed your hair back and pecked the top of your head. He lifted your face by putting his finger under your chin as if he was trying to read your eyes and make sure you were truly honest with him. He gave you a long kiss on the lips and brushed your cheek with his thumb before pulling back.

-Alright! I WILL BE BACK SO REST A LOT! I WILL MAKE YOU A GOOD SOUP!

He exclaimed as he ran out of your room. Robin walked in after his departure to check up on you. You collapsed in your bed, eyes closed as sleep took over you. Robin shook lightly her head as she closed the door behind her. You stayed strong in front of him just not to worry him. Sanji made a bussing soup when he returned tho.

Ace

-So my girlfriend is sick ?

Ace spoke as he opened the door of your room. You were reading a book that you bought not too long ago at the last island y’all stopped. Your eyes looked at your freckled lover that had just bursted into your space.

-I guess I’m not so untouchable, you declared sarcastically with a smile. He scoffed and walked over to your bed. He softly grabbed your face and kissed you.

-Aren’t you scared of being sick by kissing me, you idiot.

-Like I care, I know I have my pretty girl who will take care of me.

You both started to laugh. He sat on your bed and stared at you.

You raised a brow, not taking the lead this time,

“Your turn to dive in first, Yam.” You said while crossing your arms. He just gave you a sad look, taking a series of deep breathes, his blue cheeks puffing out as he dived in, his Ilu already taking off with yours following next to him just as fast.

‘You have good breath control. You learn quickly.’ You signed, releasing the handle of your Ilu for a short while before swimming up to quickly grab it again. Neteyam nodded happily, glad he was getting praise. You two continued circling around, chasing coral before heading to the surface so he could get some air.

“That was a good run, you did great.” You said with your eyes closed, and baby blue hands pushing back stray braids and hairs. He stared at you, the way your torso tensed up along with your arms as you raised them above your head. He covered the lower bit of his face with his hand before turning to you again with an ego. “You should give me a date as a reward.” Neteyam said with confidence. “I wanna get to know you, without that sarcastic little tone.” You actually laughed out loud, “You want a date, beat me in a race and you’ll know everything about me.”

Neteyam grabbed your hand, shaking it as a deal before petting his Ilu and motivation. “Let’s do it. You’ll know i’ll win.” You smirked, “Alright, big boy. Let’s see how fast you can go.” Both of you readied up, Ilu’s speeding off into the depths of the ocean.

Safe to say Neteyam definitely won that date. Knowing that his crush on you and that sassy little personality of yours is his biggest weakness.

Authors note: Hi guys! This is a mini series and my first one at that so I’m a lil scared😀 but I really hope you like this story because I’ve been planning it out for a while now😭 but yes this story will contain angst, and like a lot of fluff:) but yeah I hope everyone will like it💕

This is a prologue!!! A lil chapter on the sister’s dynamic and the exposition!!

The Parisian sky roared as gentle raindrops started to fall against her apartment window. The girl was in her painting studio, where she spends most of her time anyways. Her headphones blasting her favorite song as her shaky hand outlined the last of her painting. As she was about to finish, the ringing of the bell startled her, she groaned as she took her headphones off and went to open the door. When she did tho, she was met with her two older sisters, one carrying the bags of groceries and the other carrying a toddler.

“Oh sorry guys, how long were you out here” she says feeling a little bad. “Don’t worry Y/N, not for long” Her oldest sister Adriana says placing the toddler on the ground as she gives her sister a soft smile, to which she reciprocates.

“What were you doing anyway?” Her middle sister, Julianna asks, “I was just finishing up the last of my painting before my flight tomorrow” she says as she bends down to the toddler’s level, squeezing her in a tight hug as her heart warms at the giggle her niece lets out.

“How are you feeling? I mean leaving so abruptly” Adriana asks putting last of the groceries away, “I feel good, I just need a change of scenery, I don’t think I can live here after everything that has happened” Y/N replies, standing up and going back into her studio. An uncomfortable silence fell upon the two older siblings.

“Julie, I’m really worried about her, she’s not processing anything correctly, she’s refusing to go the therapist, and now she’s moving to a whole new country, where she knows no one, I really don’t think we should let her go” Adriana mumbles anxiously.

“Ada listen, I don’t want her to go either but she’s not a baby anymore, she’s 19 and she’s very responsible, and it’s not like she’s going on vacation, she’s going to study and holding her back from her passion isn’t helping, plus i can go visit her when the Spanish grandprix happens, we have to trust her, she wants to move on with the whole situation with mom and we have to respect that” Julie says rubbing her sister’s shoulder.

The three girls had lost their father at a pretty young age, however the loss of their mother was still very recent. Almost like the ghost of her still haunts them three, everything about her, they miss it all. They stood there silently, uneasy and clenching their heavy hearts.

Once Y/N finished her painting, a genuine smile came across her face. Painting was a passion that she picked up from her mother, that’s how Y/N wanted to keep her memory alive.

Scrolling through her Instagram comments made her feel a litttle happy, with Julianna being so famous, it wasn’t odd to see all her fans being so nice to her. Her peace got interrupted by Julie calling her name.

“You called my name?” Y/N says stepping out of the room, “Well, since you’re leaving, we’d thought that maybe we could make something together and just watch a movie” Adriana speaks, a smile adorning her face, “Princess and the Pauper!!” Adriana’s toddler, Suzette speaks up excitedly clapping her hands, “Well if Suzu wants to watch Barbie, then Barbie it is” Julianna says lifting the little girl up causing her to let out a squeal.

The rest of the night was spent well, jokes were traded, all the food Y/N had made was conquered. Adriana had gone to sleep as Suzu had started to get cranky, leaving just Julie and Y/N. As the two girls were tyding up, Julie said what had been on her mind.

“Y/N listen, I just wanted to say that I’m so proud of the person that you have become you’re so grown and independent and I could never be more proud to call you my younger sister. I just want to say that no matter where you are in the world, me or Adriana? I’m only one call away and don’t be afraid because this is a big step in your life and we’re here to support you through it no matter how much it hurts us and I know that it’s gonna be hard but mom would’ve been so proud of you. We all are.” Julie says cleaning the kitchen counter.

“Julie!? Did my food poisoning you? because why are you being so nice to me all of a sudden” Y/N says dramatically checking Julie’s temperatire warning her a shove. “ this is the last time I’m being supportive of you that one time I decide to be nice and you take advantage of that, so is the last time so live in the moment” she says rolling her eyes, “Thankyou Julie, I love you” Y/N says hugging the taller girl tightly, “I love you too sis, now you have a flight at the crack of dawn tomorrow, so don’t worry about cleaning I got it, just go get some sleep alright?” Julie says pushing Y/N into her room, “Goodnight Julie” she mutters, earning her response.

Once she was done with her skincare, she slipped on her silk pajama as she laid in bed overthinking her decision, is this the right decision, am I doing the right thing, what is this is a mistake?

She groans into her pillow as sleep overtakes her body, with many things she wasn’t sure about, there was one thing she was sure about and that was “Madrid, here I come” she says before sleep finally overtakes her body.

do you really have no shame? attempting to enter my life over and over without a single care in the world. thinking you could start fresh and break me all over again, just so you could make me feel something towards you. is that why you kept letting me down? because by breaking my heart, you’d have the chance to be the person to glue back the pieces for me? so tell me, do you really regret the pain you’ve caused me? or do you just miss being important to someone who forgives and never changes no matter how much time passes? too bad you’ve lost that spot you’re never gonna get back. maybe you’re this way because of how dirty other people did you in the past, and how much you feared vulnerability. i guess that’s why i never held it against you, instead blamed myself for being weak and getting hurt.

so why is it that i can’t imagine myself becoming someone like you despite all i’ve been through? if pain changes people, why am i still the same person? have i just not been hurt enough? is that why you kept going? after all your words were clear. “one day you will meet someone who will treat you worse and hurt you more, and then you will realise i wasn’t so bad.” those words stuck with me. more than any other words you’ve told me. more than any memories of you, and the words stung worse than your actions themself. younger me never forgave you, so she chose to forget. memories i can’t even recall, memories i am not even sure myself are real. no matter how many times i try, it’s all foggy. as if it never happened, those memories almost feel like they disappeared. i know they’re there, i know they exist. hidden in some drawer that’s locked with a key i don’t recall hiding. maybe i wished too hard to forget you until it became true. that name that made my heart drop when i heard it, now passes from one ear to the other, falling deaf with no reaction. “Minah.” it all means nothing now.

just a word, just a name. yet back then it meant so much to me. back then when i had no clue about what love should and shouldn’t be. now that i’ve learned what it shouldn’t be, am i ready to find out what it should be like? is it in my destiny?

so what exactly is love…? a question i wondered about since i could remember.. it almost feels like that question existed before i could ask myself who i am, who i wanna be, and what even is my name. a question i hear so often, daily, monthly, yearly.. all the time. in person, on the tv, in music, in books, in my mind. perhaps that question was born before i was. is it a feeling? is it a person? is it both? is it neither?

you’d think i’d already have an answer by now, right? maybe my heart is still too childish to understand such a thing, or maybe i’m just too busy trying to protect that “childish” heart from falling into the wrong hands again. somebody who builds a house of cards just to blow them away with a single breath.

I never want to meet another you in different body. another fake promise, another one hundred chances when you didn’t deserve a single one. somebody who doesn’t treasure the idea of love, someone who takes those words so lightly, just for the fun and laughter and their own benefit, according to their needs.

am i scared of love? no, not real love. i’m more scared about not ever finding it. so what exactly prevents me from getting the answer to my question? is it my own brain that’s filled with overthinking? the same brain that keeps telling me once a new person gets to know all my fears, doubts and insecurities, they will disappear and turn into who you are now. just a stranger with movies worth of memories. a stranger who once had my all, and it still wasn’t enough.

was it love when you promised me that one day we would live together in a little house in the country side with nothing to worry about? just us and our promised pets we agreed to raise together? the same promise you later claimed was childish and stupid, saying we were too young to even know what love is?

…you were in the heat of the moment, you didn’t mean it. i assured myself.

was it love when you yelled at me for seeing the photos in your camera roll, the messages popping up on your screen, the phone calls you answered thinking i fell asleep in your arms, telling me it all meant nothing to you and i’m just not in my right mind for accusing you of wrong doings?

…she just didn’t want me to see it and get hurt over assuming the worst, it was just a misunderstanding, i’m sure of it.. i lied to myself.

was it love when you didn’t allow me to leave you and ended up taking everyone i care about away from me? ..she just wanted me all to herself, i lied again.

was it love when you apologised for the way the palm of your hand clashed with my cheeks a bit too often? and when you insulted me over and over again, after you finally stopped claiming it never happened? ..she was probably just too guilty and wanted to forget about it so she could start over. i found comfort in my own lies, in the version of you i hoped you were.

or was it love when you pressured me into doing things i was deeply scared of? things i never wanted to do, things i wasn’t ready for.. things that you knew kept me up at night, as i cried myself to sleep in fear. i just didn’t want you to leave me for those other people who weren’t as slow as me and suddenly.. i stopped believing all those lies and started seeing the truth. and as if it were magic, i was no longer scared of you, or you leaving. i felt relief.

you took so much of me that i lost my self for a second. but you.. you lost me forever.

Hello! I’m alive! Sorry it’s been forever.

Hello new faces, I see you guys! And hello old faces, I’ve missed you!

Weight loss has unfortunately not been a priority in my life lately, however getting strong is! 💪

I’m still in physical therapy. I was officially diagnosed with Paget’s disease of the bone. It effects my hips, lower back, and legs. Especially on the left side. I’ve started pain management and I’m working on my strength and my stamina and trying not to look in the mirror during this process because… I’ve gained a bit, I won’t lie to y’all. But, it’s been HARD! I went from walking 16k steps a day to barely breaking 300 back in October 2022. My average as of May 2023 is about 6-7k steps so obviously I am improving but, it’s so much slower than I would like it to be. I’m also working full time so a lot of my time is taken up there but I promise I haven’t forgotten about this blog or all of you.

I’m sorry for the messages I haven’t responded to, I appreciate all of your kind words and all of you. 💗🫶🏻

happy one year y’all !! ah, wow, so many things have happened over this past year ,,, it honestly feels like i’ve been on here forever with you guys as almost another family to come to at the end of the day to listen to all my rambling about my love for jake haha (i’m half kidding) but, you guys, i’m rlly, rlly thankful for y’all. you’ve shown me sm love over this past year, more than i could’ve ever imagined. this blog has been growing crazy fast, and in just one year, with close to around 115 works (how ???) we’ve already hit 3.23k followers (hOW ??!?) !! that’s absolutely insane and incredible and i just wanna give a huge shout out and this is my shout out- to you all for making this such a fun experience and for reading and enjoying and showing love to my works, but also me as a person. i’m so grateful, and i will make an effort to work even harder in the future to repay you guys <3

- Okay let me start off by saying how CUTE you guys would be ~ like omg

- He would find you so pretty and would just think to himself like, “she’s sooo my type”

- And I feel like if you guys started talking to each other y’all wouldn’t be able to stop. Like the bar would almost be at closing time and you guys would STILL be talking

- Along with talking, I feel like y’all’s conversations in general can be so deep and intense, you both are just so attentive with each other and what the other is saying like omg

- I feel like he is very comfortable and feels safe with you and finds it easy to communicate his feelings or his worries with you and i feel like that motivates you to do the same!

- I feel like he also really likes reading, and y’all would just share books with eachother and then talk about them when y’all are both done with the same book
