Stitch up
Azriel x reader
Request: Could you please write a story where Azriel and the reader are on a mission, and the reader is injured and she needs stitches, and Azriel is the one who has to do it.
Warnings: vague description of injury, sad Az, hurt/comfort
“Sweetheart, please. You need to sit still so I can do this right.”
“Az, it’s not necessary. The bleeding has stopped and it’ll close up by itself. There are people out there that need proper healing, I need to get back out there.” You continued to evade Azriel’s flittering hands as he tried to hold your face still to assess the wound on your cheek. His large frame blocked the doorway to your tent, stopping you from slipping past and back out into the war camp.
“It is fucking necessary. Sit down now,” he was getting frustrated now but so were you. You stared each other down, neither bothering to hide your irritation from the other through the bond.
“You might give orders on that battlefield, Azriel, but you will not tell me what to do when it comes to healing my patients. Get out of my way,” you demanded, arms crossed over your chest. The stinging of the laceration on your cheek was long forgotten, and the Hybern General that had inflicted it was long dead thanks to your mate.
Azriel hesitated before stepping to the side, clearing your path to the door. But as you reached it, he spoke again.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have spoken to you like that. Please just let me stitch you up, I’ll be quick.”
You turned to look at him, noting that the anger on his face had quickly melted to guilt and pleading. You glanced out of the tent to assess how much you were needed at the healers’ stations, and realised your colleagues had it mostly under control.
Without speaking, you walked back to your mate and sat down in one of the chairs he had pulled over from the strategy table.
He gave you a small smile, and his shadows brushed over your arms and hands in gratitude as he readied the suture kit. He began his task in silence.
“Why is this so important to you? You knew I would have been fine letting it heal on its own,” you asked gently, understanding there was an issue Azriel hadn’t voiced yet.
“I can’t let you scar,” he murmured quietly, not meeting your eye as he focused on getting his stitches perfect.
“The thought of a small scar on my face is really that repulsive?” you replied, trying to keep your hurt feelings from projecting down the bond.
Azriel’s head snapped up.
“No! Gods no, it’s not that. You would be perfect in my eyes no matter what, a scar couldn’t change that.”
“Then what’s the problem?” you urged again.
“I have so many scars. Probably hundreds by now. And they are all permanent reminders of times I was too weak to protect myself. I wasn’t fast enough or clever enough in a fight, or I wasn’t strong enough to deter my brothers from tormenting me. I can’t stand the thought of my failure to protect you today becoming a permanent mark on your skin,” he took a deep breath as he finished his speech and lowered his hands as they had begun shaking.
You took the needle from him and placed it on the table next to you before cupping his face in your hands. After a beat of silence, his eyes met yours.
“Azriel, you have never once failed to protect me. This wound is proof of that. A Hybern General marked me for death while I was too busy to defend myself, and yet I’ve walked away with barely a scratch. And your own scars are proof of nothing but your bravery and honour in everything you do,” you spoke with certainty, and sealed your declaration with a kiss to his chapped lips.
Never one for many words, Azriel simply nodded but his eyes were a fraction lighter than they had been before and the love he sent flooding through the bond was enough of a response for you.
Leaning forward to press his own kiss to your forehead, he picked up the needle and continued his task.

A short but sweet one hopefully! Thank you for the request🫶

HC: Dating Carlisle Cullen
Tumblr media
A/N: WOW I've been dead awhile LOL have another request! I'm sorry in advice, this ones a bit long and I kinda went a little haywire with it
Requested by Anonymous: "Carlisle cullen x reader dating headcanons"
Word Count: 1346
-
Alice was constantly hinting that you and Carlisle would soon fall in love
Carlisle would simply laugh, he couldn’t love you, that’s absurd
Unless it wasn’t
You, on the other hand, were unequivocally obsessed
You could barely keep your hands to yourself anytime you had to rush to the hospital because of a minor incident involving you and a pair of scissors, nothing too nasty but it seemed to happen more than enough
Hell even the front nurses knew you like the back of their hand
“What did you get into this time?” they would always ask, a slight blush falling on your cheeks everytime and you simply shrugging
Maybe you did this on purpose, so you could see him, you’d never admit to it though
And Carlisle would never admit that he liked seeing you stick around his office with a tight bandage wrapped around the tip of your finger, a small smile on your face and an almost awkward laugh glittering your features
He was hooked the moment you stepped into his office with a bouquet of flowers, the pretty blue wildflowers that seem to paint the dull horizon with serotonin
“Thank you,” you’d mumble, always afraid to look him into his eyes for too long, “I know I’m a klutz”
He never had anyone bring him flowers before, he was in shock to say the least
Carlisle kept them, hanging them upside down in his house causing them to practically mummify, their beauty now becoming immortal
He couldn’t ask you out, absolutely not
His children may be susceptible to bringing in humans and allowing them to stay, eventually turning them in the name of love but not him
He couldn’t see you go through that pain of losing the ones you loved, not ever, especially not for his own selfishness
So, you did it yourself
Going to his office late one evening, with rain pouring heavy down the side of the building
You caught him off guard to say the least
“I think we should go on a date” you’d start, feigning confidence
Carlisle knew he didn’t have a heart beat but in that moment, his chest felt like a thousand horses were sprinting at their highest capacity with no sign of stopping
“I’m sorry, I don’t think I have the time” he’d reply with a sad smile
He wasn’t technically lying
“Then let’s go,” his rejection meaning nothing to you, you could easily see the temptation in his eyes
He wanted to go on a date with you, and that thrilled you to no ends
“Right now?”
“Right now”
You practically yanked him by his hand, pushing him out the hospital doors and outside in the cold rain
He, of course, felt no difference, other than his hair and clothing were now drenched
“Can I ask thee for a dance?” You’d ask in a faux british accent, a smile dancing across your lips with a hand outstretched in his direction
“You’re going to catch a cold” Carlisle would warn, but he enjoyed the interaction
He didn’t want it to end
“I’ve always wanted to dance in the rain. Just once?” you’d push, knowing he could never say no to anyone
Little did you know, he could say no, but just not to you
He’d sigh and wrap his hands around your waist, you grappling your arms together to meet at his neck
It felt like a dream, you and Carlisle, swaying in the rain, with nothing but the sound of the rain being your rhythm
He knew he couldn’t leave you now, you reeled him in and marked him as yours without even knowing
You did end up catching a cold
Carlisle tentatively agreed to go out on a real date with you several days later, after having turmoil after emotional turmoil
He took you to a fancy restaurant, just outside Forks
Your conversation was electrified, you felt as if you had known him your entire existence and you knew that you couldn’t lead a happy life without him by your side
You didn’t believe in soul mates, but in that moment, he gave some strong evidence
He hadn’t felt so at ease in centuries
He wanted nothing more than to bring you into his world and share the rest of eternity with him
But he couldn’t, he would not allow himself to
So, he kept you out of the loop
Yes, you two ended up dating and having many many more fancy dates at restaurants too uptight for either of your liking but something felt… off
He would call you every night as soon as you laid in bed to sleep and would rope you into a conversation lasting long past your threshold of ‘good amount of hours to not feel like shit in the morning’
He would come almost as soon as you knocked your foot too good on a sharp edge, or scraped your knuckle across a fairly new slab of concrete when trying to get yourself up from a small fall
Carlisle was perfect
He seemed to know your schedule like the back of his hand, without ever asking you for it
He seemed to know your schedule like the back of his hand, even when it changed
You couldn’t help the feeling of uneasiness that washed over you every time you thought about it too hard
So, you did the only logical thing you could think about doing: asking him
He seemed extremely tense when you began your interrogation, but you knew that was just a sign that he was soon to crack
And crack he did
Carlisle practically opened the floodgates of vampire history, leaving you in shock and anxiety as he unloaded every detail of his abilities
He figured you’d leave him after that, and he was prepared
But you didn’t
After the initial shock of the first conversation, your anxiousness soon became fascination
You would ask him anything and everything you could think of
“Can you smell colors?” “No”
“What about me? How far can you smell me?” “I don’t know”
“Do you like being a vampire?” “I don’t know how to answer that”
“Are you always hungry?” “Yes and no”
“Do you want to eat me?” “Right now? Yes”
You almost died in a fit of laughter at that one
Soon, you were practically the queen of vampiric knowledge but you were wanting more
You were wanting experience
Another hard conversation fell in between you two, leaving no space for anything other than the topic at hand
Carlisle would hastily argue, telling you that you would not like to live a life like him
But you did, more than that, you wanted to live a life with him
That one hit like a wall of bricks
He went to Alice’s aid after that conversation, begging her for reassurance that you would be happy if he turned you
She said she didn’t know, she couldn’t see you in her visions yet
But she did see that she saw him, with a constant smile on his face and eyes so bright that you would never suspect that he was anything other than alive
“I have a feeling you two are fated” she would say after every conversation, slowly chipping away at his defense every time
Then, he caved
For months this conversation felt at a standstill, with no end in sight
You had tried to forget about it, tried to move on and be happy with him as he is now, as you are now
“Okay,” he’d sigh “I’ll turn you”
It was hefty thrill when you heard those words
You immediately wrapped yourself around him and thanked him feverishly
You couldn’t contain your excitement, and he almost couldn’t either
He wanted to be selfish, just this once
After your turn, your relationship felt more alive than ever
You were experimenting with your newfound abilities by the side of the love of your life
You were endlessly happy, and so was he
Carlisle was just excited that you couldn’t accidentally hurt yourself anymore

Qessyn say on the ground, pressed up against a wall, looking up at the figure standing in front of her. The one who had just saved her life.
It all happened so fast. One moment she was being cornered by some gang members in Neo Shousis, the next moment this stranger had stepped in, thrashing the gang members and leaving them strewn across the concrete.
Finally finding her voice, the Galra spoke. “Th…thank you. You saved my life…um, may I ask your name, stranger?”
There was silence for a moment, as they turned to her and Qessyn worried that she had done something to offend. Reaching up, they pulled their hood off, and then their mask…
“Been a long time…desert girl…”
That voice…it…couldn’t be…
Wide eyed, Qessyn stared. Before her stood a Galra man, a patch over a badly-scarred right eye, narrow features, and light, muted shades of short purple fur. He was much worse for wear than when she had seen him last, but he was unmistakable.
“V…Vehn…?”
Tears began welling in her eyes. “Vehn…is that…is that really you…? I…”
He smiled, approaching and kneeling before her. “It’s me, Qessyn…”
Instantly, Qessyn launched herself forward, throwing her arms around him and making him fall backwards. Burying her face in his chest, she sobbed. “Vehn! VEHN! It’s you! It’s really you! I thought you were dead…!”
Laughing, he hugged her back. “I know, Qessyn…I thought I was too, that day. I’m sorry it took me so long to find you…”
~*~
“…and I’ve been trying to find you again ever since. I was starting to lose hope…”
Some time later, the two of them sat in her apartment in Neo Shousis, catching up. Qessyn could only smile; Vehn had been her squad mate, and they had been close. Recruits, young soldiers with bright eyes and big dreams.
Before everything went to shit…
Wiping a tear away, Qessyn smiled. “I’m so happy, Vehn. I missed you so much. So much has happened…”
“So I’ve heard,” Vehn replied, “I saw you were wanted by the Empire. What happened, Qessyn?”
“Ah…that…well…”
~*~
“Damn. Sounds like you’ve been through the wringer,” Vehn replied, patting her on the head.
A purr left her. “It’s been…hard. But, I’m managing.”
“So it seems.” A pause. “…but something doesn’t make sense, Qessyn.”
She raised a brow. “What do you mean?”
His expression turned serious. “Qessyn…when did the spark leave your eyes? What are you not telling me?”
She froze. She forced a smile and stammered. “I…don’t know what you’re talking about…”
In one fluid motion, Vehn had grabbed her hand gently but firmly, rolling her sleeve back and revealing the scars of shackles. “This, Qessyn.”
Stunned, Qessyn stammered for a moment, before going quiet. “I…I…”
Holding her by the shoulders gently, he looked at her. “Qessyn. Who did this to you.”
Trembling and sobbing, Qessyn buried her face in his chest again, and told him everything. About Trekhar, about her torment…everything.
~*~
Vehn held Qessyn silently, stroking her back.
“I’m sorry…” he whispered. “I should have been there. I should have protected you.”
“What could you have done, Vehn?” Qessyn asked, “you were a grunt like me, he was a Commander.”
“I don’t know…something. Just…that you were left at the mercy of that fucking monster…!”
He held her close, tightly, as if afraid she would disappear if he let go, and Qessyn nuzzled closer to him with similar fears.
“I missed you, Vehn…” she finally whispered, “I missed you so much.”
Stroking her head, Vehn heaved a tired sigh. “I missed you too, Qessyn…every single day.”
They sat in silence until Qessyn’s eyes grew heavy. “…stay here a while, Vehn…please…”
“Of course…” he murmured, “I won’t leave you again. I promise.”
Qessyn smiled, drifting off into sleep.
~*~
The sun had long since gone down, and the two were still there on the couch, Vehn silently holding Qessyn as she slept.
Gazing down at her with his good eye, he pressed his lips to the top of her head. “I’ll never leave you again,” he whispered, “I promise.”

Janis & Casey
Janis: You’ve gone then
Casey: No shit, like
Janis: I didn’t see the note, like
Janis: if you’d waited, could have got help with your stuff
Casey: you’re alright, I’d rather do myself an injury than hang about through any more of that
Janis: okay, your choice
Casey: chuffed that it’s okay with you
Janis: were you really gonna say fuck all
Casey: weren’t gonna knock on your door, was I
Casey: never have made myself heard anyway
Janis: it’s only okay when you do it, yeah
Janis: don’t be immature
Casey: yeah, love, it is
Janis: it’s not a problem anymore for either of us
Casey: too right, solved that massive problem you and him had, didn’t you
Janis: so what if I had
Casey: only took me near killing you and your kid, but you’re welcome
Janis: I crashed
Janis: and not that bad
Casey: oh tah, that makes me feel LOADS better
Janis: you don’t need to feel bad about that, it was an accident, mine at that
Casey: just leave it out
Janis: yeah, sorry for trying to make you feel better about it
Janis: it’s just shock
Casey: piss off, I don’t need no nursing now
Janis: you clearly injured yourself or you wouldn’t have said it but
Janis: know you can take care of yourself
Casey: what I said were I’d chance one over getting a hand to leave off either of you
Janis: I can still read
Casey: I was there when they checked you over
Janis: and you wouldn’t get checked over
Casey: bit late for you to act bothered about the state of me
Janis: you was there and I said, it was shock
Janis: I couldn’t help it
Casey: that’s had time to wear off, been to Ian’s and back then all over this town an’ all, so if I was gonna drop dead or owt I reckon I would’ve done before now
Janis: how was I supposed to know, I thought you were in your room and then I go in and all your stuff has just fucking gone
Casey: It were for my benefit, yeah, that what you’re saying
Janis: obviously not
Casey: there’s nowt else to say then
Janis: really
Janis: I think there’s plenty
Casey: [don’t reply cos you’re saying there’s not obvs]
Janis: You’re not gonna say where you’ve gone or nothing, no
Janis: this is stupid
Casey: What the fuck for, when you fancy a little visit
Janis: so we know where you are, don’t act like that’s weird
Casey: I’m here if there’s something you really needed, my address ain’t it
Janis: I didn’t know he was going to do that
Janis: or you’d hear anything
Casey: bollocks, him not having it in him I can believe, you reckoning I’d gone deaf on top of that is less believable though
Janis: how does that make it any better, if I’d been doing what you do
Casey: how do you not get the difference
Janis: it isn’t, you just want it to be
Casey: it fucking is, I ain’t playing happy families with none of them
Janis: it’s not playing, it’s real life and not fucking news to you
Janis: don’t have the benefit of saying you didn’t know when it’s your own fucking brother
Casey: not news to me
Casey: it was you told me otherwise, dickhead, how long ago
Janis: and I didn’t lie
Casey: that’s alright then, fuck’s sake
Janis: what do you want me to say about it
Janis: it wasn’t my idea and it was shit, there
Casey: you went along with it still, proper enthusiastically, unless that were the lie and the act
Janis: it’s not my business to tell you his
Janis: you heard what I said
Casey: I heard you say you came looking for me after it were shit, too nice of you, that, mate
Casey: least you’re making it your business to treat us both like twats
Janis: and you said I left it ages, so nah, I was just checking how you were, or I would’ve if you’d not pissed off
Casey: can’t have been that shit then
Janis: well it fucking was, not that that’s the point
Janis: I wasn’t trying to fuck you, it’s not all I care about
Casey: you don’t care now he’s trying to fuck you again, made that obvious enough
Janis: it’s the first time he’s properly said anything in 7 months, what was I meant to do, ignore him
Casey: he has been you
Janis: and I’ve already made him look like a twat, as you pointed out
Casey: he’s your top priority always has been, always fucking will be, you heard me, there’s nowt else to say
Janis: I’m having a kid, neither of you are my top priority now or ever will be again
Janis: I think that’s half his fucking problem and now you’re going to join in?
Janis: thanks
Casey: It’s not about the kid, don’t be bringing her up like I’ve got sod all against her
Janis: I will bring her up, I can’t be acting like that’s not happening
Janis: it might’ve made him happy, brought him back so he could actually give a shit about this kid that we’re having soon
Janis: it didn’t, there, I’m not apologising for trying so I don’t have to do this alone
Casey: and no need to offer one for leaving me on my own either, I shouldn’t have expected nothing else
Janis: you’re not about to be a single parent
Casey: nor are you, I saw him shit scared of losing you
Janis: you saw what you wanted to see
Janis: so just go, you don’t need to talk yourself out of it and blame me, I got the message
Casey: I don’t wanna see that, but I did and I have done enough other times to know what it looks like
Janis: you don’t believe me, so there is no point
Janis: you didn’t before when I told you what I want and you don’t now
Casey: you just told me what you want, to raise your baby with him, that’ll be why you bothered getting pregnant in the first place, married before that
Janis: no, you’ve changed your mind, just own up to it, for fuck’s sake
Janis: you knew both those things, end of
Casey: I could’ve fucking killed you, ‘course I’ve changed my fucking mind
Janis: there we go
Casey: I shouldn’t be near you or that kid ever again
Janis: I was driving
Janis: I was doing all the shit I was doing, it’s humiliating
Casey: ‘cause of me
Janis: fine
Casey: I’ll be out your way and we can’t neither of us hurt each other no more
Casey: that should be what you want
Janis: don’t patronise me
Casey: why, you’re the only one who can crack on behaving like that or what
Janis: Funny
Janis: you martyr yourself about it all you pissing want, don’t tell me what I want or what I should do
Janis: it’s not any of your business now, is it
Casey: nah, it’s not
Janis: I’ll crack on starting another affair with another dickhead, because that is all I care about
Casey: Long as it ain’t Ian or Bob, be alright
Janis: cheers for the advice, I’ll try
Casey: if you’re after advice, wait a year for our kid, keep it legal here, but don’t for my dad, who knows how many he’s looking at left
Janis: now you’ve picked up the car, got no reason to pay him a visit, sadly
Casey: got no reason to me either but it don’t stop you asking where abouts I am
Janis: have plenty of reason but you wanna pretend that’s all it’s about
Casey: yeah, it’s me pretending
Janis: it’s how you want it, or how it has to be, if you wanna keep being dramatic
Casey: you said it, him and this kid, that’s your real life
Janis: yeah no, I get it, you really think this was all some desperate housewife fantasy for me
Janis: like I said, patronising
Casey: he wouldn’t fuck you, I would’ve, now he will, what do you need me for, it’s that simple
Janis: you both have 0 self-esteem, you know
Janis: fucking hell
Casey: have a word with your next boyfriend about it, his fault, like
Janis: I know that
Janis: and the only reason I’d ever actually be going anywhere near him is to finally off him, like someone should’ve a long time ago
Casey: if anyone’s doing it, I am, not you
Janis: good for you, genuinely
Casey: as I said, fine for you to be a patronising bitch when you like
Janis: what else can I say, no don’t do it or go for it
Janis: not implicating myself for you, twat
Casey: you don’t have to be either ear about it, fuck all to do with you
Janis: I’ve seen more of you all than he has in the last decade
Casey: and, don’t change the fact it’s between me and him
Janis: and, I’ve had to live with the after effects of it all as well
Janis: that’s all I’m saying
Casey: who’s martyring themself now, you twat
Janis: at least that’s valid
Janis: didn’t even total the car, why are you bothering
Casey: I’m alright for you thinking I’m full of it to not have totalled the car and badly hurt either or both of you, but you go on
Janis: I don’t care
Casey: 👍
Janis: you go on acting like it weren’t fun while it lasted then
Casey: I never said it weren’t
Casey: ‘course it was, had loads of practice, every lass’ bit of fun, me
Janis: then let’s go with that
Janis: you act like you don’t matter to none of us and you’re all on your own
Casey: you, it’s my real life
Janis: bollocks
Casey: I reckoned it might be an’ all, for a bit there, but
Janis: you don’t want me to care
Janis: you didn’t even say goodbye you just left without letting me say anything
Casey: you said it all by fucking him
Janis: and how many girls had you fucked the night you called me from Ian’s
Casey: how many times do you need telling it’s different
Janis: because you say so
Janis: you don’t know how that’s going to end up
Casey: I don’t love them, I haven’t made you fucking sit about for years watching me pissing about in some massive romance, I’ve not invited you to no weddings or knocked up any of ‘em and then moved them in for you to watch that too
Casey: so don’t start
Janis: I wasn’t in love with him to break your heart
Casey: it don’t matter, you are and it does
Janis: alright, go
Casey: I already have done
Janis: then so will I
Casey: I was only playing at being your husband as far as A&E goes, you don’t need my permission, girl
Janis: what?
Casey: you heard, do what you want
Janis: I don’t know what you’re talking about
Casey: I’m saying piss off then
Janis: I don’t want to
Janis: but I’ll do it for you
Janis: how’s that feel, dickhead
Casey: go with however you think I feel, that’s the bollocks this whole convo has been about
Janis: pop it on a postcard if you care
Janis: ‘cos if you did, we’d be having an actual conversation, not this
Casey: if you was bothered how much you’re doing my head in, I wouldn’t have to be the only dickhead that is
Janis: you started it
Casey: how did I
Casey: you couldn’t even have fucked him while I was out taking the car back and done me that 1 favour, had to wait til I was back
Janis: I told you, he was talking
Casey: you could’ve just kept him talking
Janis: yeah, I should’ve, we all regret it
Casey: I came back for you
Janis: I never wanted you to hear that
Casey: you say that but
Janis: you did, yeah
Casey: and you knew there were at least a chance I would
Janis: he’s her dad, I have to try and look after him
Casey: which is what I said when you decided you were gonna pull apart what I meant before, he matters more to you than me, he always has and he’s always gonna now
Janis: it’s different
Janis: why does it have to be the same
Casey: ‘cause I want the same things as all that, not fucking table scraps of what he don’t fancy having
Casey: for fuck’s sake
Janis: you’ve never asked me, how I actually feel
Janis: you reckon you know, so keep on with that
Casey: I know you, and him, and I know you’re having a kid
Janis: then you know everything you need to know
Casey: yeah
Janis: Whatever
Janis: take care of yourself and ask if you need anything
Casey: [don’t reply again, thank you sir]
Janis: [okay so during this time period, whenever, in our emotions; liking one of your stories because I can and will take that]
Casey: [not soz that it tracks, sadly he is unlikely to get much opportunity to do that cos I doubt you’re posting gal]
Janis: hey
Casey: What
Janis: what do you mean what
Casey: I mean what do you need
Janis: talk to you
Casey: alright, then I mean what’s wrong
Janis: everything
Janis: I miss you, how are you, what have you been doing
Casey: come on, you know I don’t wanna tell you any of that
Janis: i’ll tell you my lifes shit if you tell me the same back, like
Casey: it is but you hate all that twinning bollocks so
Janis: we’ve always had more in common
Janis: glad you’re not my twin though, enough of that going about
Casey: it’d really fuck with the self-esteem I’ve not got, you being the really hot one, enough of that going about an’ all
Janis: hots all you think you are
Casey: Oi, have you know I make a well nice drink
Janis: I wouldn’t know, having a wine a night is as mad as it’s meant to get ‘round here
Casey: won’t be much longer til you’re an actual milf
Janis: then you’ll come see me, right
Casey: I dunno about that
Janis: knew you’d say that
Casey: why’d you say what you did then
Janis: guilt you into coming to see me, obviously
Janis: what’s the point in having any shame at this point
Casey: I wouldn’t know, never have had, guilt’s more like it
Janis: less fun, unlucky
Janis: got plenty too, keep the parallels coming
Casey: tah for keeping the incest fantasies coming too, bit more into it now it ain’t about me and him
Janis: worked out that weren’t a goer, don’t worry
Janis: technically my brother too, if you wanna commit to the act
Casey: ain’t this dickhead who thinks marriage is worth owt, won’t catch me committing to nobody
Janis: clever boy
Casey: You going for mum again or fit teacher
Janis: not mum
Janis: not thinking about that
Casey: not mine anyway, you’d have to change the vibe massively for a top Debbie impression
Janis: not trying to give you confused boners
Casey: been there, done that, you, I ain’t 12 no more
Janis: I wish I could still tell you what to do like you were, right now
Casey: you could do, there just ain’t as much guarantee I’ll bother to listen
Janis: you won’t
Casey: best to leave it out if that’s what you reckon before you’ve even said a word
Janis: come back
Janis: there, you’re not going to
Janis: I’m sad, not stupid
Casey: there’s the reason I can’t, it’d only make you more sad
Janis: not possible
Casey: easy to think that when you ain’t got me in the door yet
Janis: do you like your flatmates
Casey: nah, they’re all dickheads
Janis: 👎
Janis: mine too
Casey: There we go again, having that connection
Janis: you know it’s not just a pisstake, we do
Casey: I wish it was, I don’t want it
Janis: ouch
Casey: what, it’s not doing your head in
Janis: that I miss you
Janis: doesn’t have to be this
Casey: yeah it does
Janis: nuuh
Casey: you heard me
Janis: if you were here I’d feel so much better
Janis: that’s true
Casey: and I’d feel even shitter than I do here, so’s that
Janis: why
Casey: you know why
Janis: why don’t you like me no more
Casey: don’t, alright
Janis: you’re breaking my heart as revenge
Casey: I’m just trying to make it all fucking stop
Janis: well it has
Janis: I feel like I’m fucking dead
Casey: shut up, you don’t get to say that to me just ‘cause I don’t wanna live like this for the rest of my fucking life
Janis: you think I want it
Janis: any of this
Janis: it’s miserable, we’re all fucking miserable
Casey: you chose it, nobody else
Janis: okay it’s all my fault, whatever, I’ll take it
Casey: you’ve not even got the baby out of you yet, you can’t tell me to come back, you don’t get to
Janis: I can
Janis: it’s fucking selfish and means I care about myself more than you but I can
Janis: you just had to say no and you did and you have another reason to try and hate me
Casey: it don’t matter how many reasons there are
Janis: I don’t know what I’m meant to do
Casey: Keep trying for her, you said you were gonna, and you don’t get to be selfish no more, gutted or nah
Janis: just give her to my sister
Casey: I ain’t talking to you if you’re gonna chat shit like that
Janis: I’m not allowed to be anything but perfect
Janis: like my life wouldn’t be at least 50% sorted if she pissed off
Casey: you piss off, that’s such bollocks, you ain’t never been perfect a day in your life
Casey: you’ve been the fittest girl about in this whole town, alright, and loads of other things that make you a bighead as well, but there’s as much that winds me and other people up
Janis: I mean about this fucking kid, I’m not allowed to say anything, not even to you
Casey: you’re not allowed to say you wanna chuck her at your sister and imply that it’s for me, nah
Janis: it’s not just for you
Janis: it’s for everyone
Casey: it ain’t for her, take a sec to fucking imagine the state of that
Janis: they’re rich, have loads of kids for her to play with, it’s her whole thing being a mum, it’d be much better than what she’s gonna get
Casey: and they’re massive twats, you’re forgetting that
Janis: so she’ll be a twat too, they don’t care about it
Casey: she’s yours, you have to care about it
Janis: well, I don’t
Casey: well I don’t believe that ain’t total bollocks
Janis: you not believing anything I say?
Janis: a new one
Casey: his and hers depression ain’t a new one either
Janis: so why would you want that for any kid
Casey: I don’t, sort your head out
Janis: oh wow thanks
Janis: why didn’t I think of that
Casey: ‘cause you ain’t thinking, you’re moping about
Janis: be more like your brother
Janis: I’ll take all my vitamins and get all the sleep and then I’ll want this thing
Casey: you, I ain’t coming back while you sound just like him
Janis: I don’t want you back
Casey: I want you back
Casey: you love her and you can do this, could standing on your bloody head, but he’s got in yours and if I have to turn up to beat the shit out of him and go again, that’s what I’ll do, like
Janis: no need to act like you don’t just wanna do that anyway, selfishly
Casey: I want you back, selfishly, the only act is it being for the baby’s sake
Casey: I don’t give a fuck about him except where he’s getting in the way of that
Janis: I miss you so fucking much it makes me feel sick
Casey: you should get out of there for a bit, mate, go back to your mum’s how you did
Janis: be where I end up anyway
Casey: then please go, I’m worried about you
Janis: wasn’t expecting an invite
Casey: you gonna make me use emotional blackmail
Casey: alright, I’ll come see you there
Janis: can tell you’re lying but
Janis: I’ll go
Casey: I’ll be over to check on you once you’ve showed up, it’s what I said
Janis: really
Casey: lashing out ain’t the same as lying, I don’t lie to you
Janis: okay, I’m sorry, I know that
Janis: are we gonna be able to not lash out at each other or do I need to tell my ma to piss off
Casey: be struck off for that if I were a real nurse
Janis: good thing I’m not bloody sick
Casey: it were you who said you felt it
Casey: so I’ve gotta make sure you’re okay, as he can’t be trusted to
Janis: make it up to you
Casey: don’t make me have to text your mum, only get you feeling worse if she starts flirting with me
Janis: she can piss off
Janis: not having you
Casey: bit rude of you not to fancy me being your new dad, I could tell you what to do for a bloody change
Janis: had loads of them, could’ve had a great time if that was my thing
Casey: 😏 I were gonna say crack on getting a bag packed, dunno what you mean
Janis: so sensible now, boy
Casey: Have to be now I live with a bunch of different dickheads I ain’t related to
Janis: you mean they don’t cook you breakfasts, shocking
Janis: how are you finding it, actually
Casey: shit, that wasn’t no lie either
Janis: getting your uni experience, like
Casey: least I ain’t in debt, not yet anyway
Janis: and you don’t actually have to be around students all day, always a win
Casey: only most nights the week
Janis: your target audience anyway
Casey: juggling ain’t in the job description, sure I’ve told you that, you can give it less of the performing seal with your pisstaking
Janis: just meant your ex
Janis: but right, it’s all setting cheap booze on fire and knowing how to pronounce all the french ones
Casey: making me sound like a waiter there now, you can calm down if you reckon I’m making you pancakes when I come round
Janis: oh but that’s the only reason I wanna see you
Casey: I’ll send some poor delivery lad instead then, yeah, you can talk his ear off about how sad you are an’ all
Janis: you are such a dickhead
Janis: and you said I shouldn’t fuck no one under 17 so no point sending a kid on a moped, tah
Casey: you’re the dickhead, if you’d insisted it was a craving I’d have had to do it
Casey: and *you shouldn’t fuck no one, tah
Janis: yeah ‘cos that’s really how it’s been working for me, like
Janis: sounds like YOU really want pancakes, tbh babe
Janis: have to bring your own bacon, first reason you’d never stick around long enough to be my next dad
Casey: your mum’s babe, not yours, she’ll let me do, eat and say what I like, obviously
Janis: great, now I actually have to vom 😏
Casey: Brings back memories
Janis: not memories for you, just the other night, undoubtedly
Casey: nah, of you
Janis: make it sound like I’m actually dead
Janis: if that’s the nicest thing you have to say at my funeral, just chuck me in the dirt and be done
Casey: piss off, you’re not leaving me
Janis: long as you’d still be sad, stick around a bit longer
Casey: shut up, I’d be gutted
Janis: not quite selfish enough to make you eulogise me whilst I’m eating pancakes
Casey: good, it’d right put me off them
Janis: tell me about it
Janis: we had [some kind of party food you would have for a 13th so not like children’s party food but you know] when my sister died and still can’t eat it to this day, devvo’d
Casey: [tell her about something you can’t cos of your mum literally vanishing and that trauma cos you were so young when that happened soz boy]
Janis: promise I won’t ruin pancakes for you, mate
Casey: you better not, they’re piss easy to make, even for a fake student like me
Janis: you’re starving then, yeah
Janis: you can say you’ve missed me for my cooking and it don’t even count as an admission
Casey: it don’t count towards why I wanna see you but
Janis: and you don’t wanna just check me for injuries, right
Casey: mental illnesses, more like
Janis: not just that then
Casey: you really gonna make me say it
Janis: have to, sorry
Casey: alright then
Janis: oi
Janis: go on then
Casey: I miss you too, dunno why though, such wind up you are
Janis: I can handle that
Janis: if you were actually just bringing the men in white coats, I’d have to tell you not to and I really just wanna see you
Casey: they’d be trying to take me an’ all, how much it’s done my head in not seeing you
Janis: could be a date
Janis: matching lobotomies 🥰
Casey: cute
Casey: and it’d get you out of raising your own daughter, win win for you, that
Janis: alright, I know I shouldn’t have said that shit
Janis: feels like that’s how everyone else feels about her though
Casey: all the more reason for you not to, she needs you, who the fuck else has she got of any use
Janis: sounds about right
Janis: takes a village and I’ve got to do it on my tod
Casey: I should’ve been a bit less of a prick, what do I know about any of it
Janis: it’s not like I don’t know why I can’t talk about it with you, same reason I can’t with him
Janis: just a bit awkward
Casey: you can talk about anything with me, I just can’t promise I won’t kick off
Janis: when have I not been able to handle that
Janis: you can, done my fair share
Casey: I know it was a right dickhead move to go how I did
Janis: you’re a dickhead, but me too so
Janis: I don’t care, I miss it, actually
Casey: surprised I can afford rent, all the phones I’ve chucked about to stop myself ringing you
Janis: I always expect to see you when I get back from work, in the kitchen, annoying that pair
Casey: it’s been weird, they’ve always been about much as you, but I don’t give a shit what they’re doing and I can tell myself it’s alright they’re not
Janis: it’s too easy for me to fill in the blanks of what you’re doing from your feed
Casey: I can’t help doing you them favours, just the kind of mate I am
Janis: favour to you, maybe
Janis: you know I’m doing fuck all
Casey: you are growing a [whatever vegetable or whatever this baby size is now that he’s just searched like a nerd] inside you, might wanna give yourself a bit of a break from the pubs and clubs
Janis: thrilling as it is 🥱
Janis: heard you say you want me to be a nun
Casey: you used to love praying on that bathroom floor, you’d be good at it, top singer as well so
Janis: just say the kid is God’s, might have me
Janis: you be happy then?
Casey: heard you’re not into other lasses
Janis: only place I’ll be safe is making me sound 🤏 like a massive slag but
Casey: you’re alright, I’m not gonna ask about you and him
Janis: nowt to tell
Janis: waste of a question, not that I’m keeping score
Casey: bit late to tell me now if I were supposed to be carving marks into my bedpost from when I saw you last
Janis: I don’t wanna know either, already do, figures are irrelevant
Casey: unless one’s your mum, of course, be the 1st to know
Janis: I’ve got better chance with Ian and he’s a part-time racist
Casey: got a decent chance with anyone, you, why you’re off to the convent
Janis: should’ve been a paddy, you
Janis: haunt you from my mass grave, boy
Casey: I’ve been here about as long now
Janis: headfuck
Casey: lucky for you the accent’s off nowhere, know how gutted you and your baby’d be if it didn’t stick round
Janis: do you think Bobby thinks in Northern
Janis: don’t wanna ask him at this point, sounds well stupid
Casey: probably don’t have no voice in his head, since he ain’t got one himself, that’s what I thought at any rate
Janis: you’re probably right
Janis: must be nice, that
Casey: what do you reckon she’s thinking about, except me, her former best mate
Janis: hope we ain’t sharing thoughts or she’s already well fucked
Janis: I don’t know what she has to think about, sleeping, having a little swim, basically a spa holiday in there
Casey: now that must be nice
Janis: can run you a bath and turn the lights out
Casey: I’m meant to be looking after you
Casey: and that sounds like you wanna murder me
Janis: how else am I meant to recreate my womb on such short notice
Janis: wrap you up in the duvet, could suffocate you or drown you, whatever you prefer
Casey: dead generous of you
Janis: won’t kill you just to keep your body with me
Janis: the mental illness isn’t there yet, honest
Casey: I get it, you’ve not missed me that much
Janis: did not say that
Casey: kill me then
Janis: Casey
Casey: yeah
Janis: you know you’re in my head as much as I’m in yours
Casey: I don’t know that
Janis: I do
Casey: you’ve not got as much room in your head, same as your life
Janis: why do you think what happened happened
Janis: anyway, the way you act, I could say there’s no way you think about me as much as you say, but I believe you’re not lying
Janis: even if that’s my massive ego talking
Casey: I’m not calling you a liar, you believe what you’re telling me and it’s how you feel when you’re with me but that don’t mean it’s gonna happen or it can, ‘cause you’re not always with me
Casey: got a lot else on, you, even if it don’t seem like it from how fed up you are of it
Janis: so do you, however fed up or not you are any given hour
Janis: both got jobs, relationships to varying degrees
Janis: just the kid now, when it comes
Casey: yeah and I ain’t gonna distract you again the way I did
Casey: I said it, she needs you, she’s got nobody else worth having
Janis: okay, if you won’t
Casey: we’ll have to go back to trying to be mates and leave it at that
Janis: can only try
Casey: Do you need a lift to your mum’s
Janis: that’s okay, I want the fresh air
Janis: I meant it, I do want to try, I’d rather just be mates than this
Casey: it can’t fuck us up no more than this has
Janis: 🤞
Casey: let me know when you want me over and I will be
Janis: I will
Janis: you’re not too busy or anything tonight, are you
Casey: never am for you, you know that
Janis: Good, don’t have to be the kind of friend that says pencil me in whenever 🤮
Casey: 👎
Janis: can still command as much of your time as I want whenever I want it
Janis: that sort of mate
Casey: I’d be diagnosing you with some new personality bollocks if you started being any sort else, don’t worry
Janis: 😁
Casey: soon as I get you doing it for real I’ll have earnt my nursing degree proper
Janis: won’t even ask to see you in the uniform
Casey: bit shit if you’re not a fit lass shopping for it online, you’d only be disappointed, babe, and I can’t have that
Janis: sadly not been long enough since I went to a shit costume party that I’ve forgotten
Casey: sad you ain’t been to a fun one with me
Janis: yeah, obviously
Casey: but let’s steady on, the opposite of what I’m trying to do here to make you 💔
Janis: I’m only a normal amount of gutted I’ve never seen you 👨‍🚀🤠👨‍🚒
Janis: honest 😇
Casey: you can find the pics if you’re gutted enough to scroll back that far, like
Janis: tah for the tip
Casey: as a mate, have to
Janis: be very useful to know when I wanna start my affairs
Casey: Oi, why you trying to fall out with me already, I said no
Janis: is that something mates get to do
Casey: stopping you being 💔 or making a twat out yourself is exactly what mates are meant to, if any dickhead asks, that’s why I’m so bothered
Janis: I’m already 💔 bestie, keep up
Casey: you won’t be in a bit, you keep up
Janis: FINE
Janis: just walking, she’ll be raging if I wake her up
Casey: best behaviour
Janis: you gonna reward me for it or am I just meant to do what you say
Casey: since when is the reward not seeing me
Janis: you were coming whether I was behaving or not though
Janis: just a little something extra, as I am
Casey: you’ve got me waiting here for when you say I can be there, but alright, what else do you want
Janis: 🤔 what do best friends do, let me think
Casey: ask Bobby and Libi, they’re the experts
Janis: we can watch a film
Casey: can do whatever you like
Janis: could sleepover, they do all the time
Casey: no rush to get back to my dickhead housemates, up for it if you are
Janis: definitely
Casey: your mum invited too or what
Janis: you wish
Casey: 😏
Janis: I missed that face
Casey: [send her a selfie you absolutely don’t need to of him just doing it]
Janis: a lot
Janis: cute dickhead
Casey: Send me one then
Janis: [send a 😁 selfie like there you go, what are friends for]
Casey: I get it, you’re THAT dickhead
Janis: an excited one, makes depression look great…?
Casey: you could be on another billboard with that, yeah
Janis: for maternity jeans, maybe
Casey: what’ve you got against being the fittest pregnant lass ever, somebody has to be
Janis: you who said you didn’t like it
Casey: I don’t reckon I have said that
Janis: not in those exact words
Janis: and not recently
Casey: go on, what words are you holding against me from ages ago
Janis: me? petty? how dare you
Casey: I’m waiting here for that an’ all now
Casey: come on
Janis: you just alluded to milf being your least fave category of porn
Janis: but you’ve changed your tune now you might get a chance to chat to my mum so
Janis: you’re a new boy, obvs
Casey: *man
Casey: tah very much, love
Janis: my apologies
Casey: Do watch all sorts of different porn these days, didn’t realise that were the kind of film you was suggesting though
Janis: don’t have to be
Janis: but could be
Casey: this you trying really hard to be my mate, is it, letting me make every decision
Janis: you know I’ve only had the few
Casey: yeah, that’s why you should be allowed to make a few choices of your own
Janis: but if I make the wrong one, you’ll go
Janis: and I want you to stay more than I want anything else to happen
Casey: if you want me to stay that bad, I’ll stay
Janis: I want you to want to, too
Casey: you think I go about doing loads of things I don’t, for what and for who, like
Janis: me, if I asked, maybe, before
Janis: I don’t wanna do that again
Casey: I’ll not let you again, you really fucking hurt me
Janis: I know I did
Casey: you’re used to a doormat of a lad, but I ain’t that, so don’t worry about it
Janis: do you think I treat him like a doormat
Casey: he just is, you could treat him like you think he’s the best, give him every real or fake award going, and he still would be
Casey: it ain’t about you, it’s what’s in his head
Janis: then what was the fucking point, right
Casey: point is if he was any kind of husband, boyfriend before that, he’d sort it, his own shit, you can’t
Janis: fuck it
Janis: neither of us sorted anything we said we had
Casey: easier not to
Janis: slainte
Casey: when you can have a proper drink, we will do
Janis: promising you’ll still be my friend then
Janis: alright
Casey: be your mate forever if you behave yourself
Janis: steady getting a bit close to a commitment for your liking
Casey: I’ve never said there’s owt wrong with commitment
Janis: you so have!
Casey: your bollocks wedding maybe, but that ain’t the be all and end all of what commitment means
Janis: soz should’ve made it more clear it was a personal vendetta against me and my life choices
Casey: I dunno how much clearer I could’ve made it
Janis: why that was a joke
Janis: less and less funny by the day atm but whatever
Casey: mine an’ all, gutted even that weren’t clear, apparently
Janis: maybe you aren’t as clear as you reckon
Casey: or you wanna leave room to misunderstand shit, or at least have the chance to say you have
Janis: maybe
Janis: bit late for that now though
Casey: bit too late for loads of things, yeah
Janis: back to breaking my heart
Casey: I don’t want to
Janis: if it’s unavoidable it’s unavoidable
Janis: I’m not the only one, not the first or last, whatever
Casey: fuck that
Janis: 😏
Casey: you heard, I don’t want to and that means I’ll try not to, properly
Janis: I don’t deserve that
Casey: it’s not up to you, you’ll have to get over it
Janis: that’s not one of my choices then
Casey: nah
Janis: I can live with that
Casey: you’ve got no choice but to, girl
Janis: you’re very demanding, boy
Casey: More bloody twinning, fuck’s sake 😏
Janis: what are we like
Casey: no joke, I was just about to say that
Janis: spooky, better leave the shining off our watchlist or we’ll get ideas
Casey: and star wars
Janis: I mean, it’s a classic but 😏
Casey: hang on, you rate star wars more than the shining, how’d I never know this about you
Janis: I’d rather my dad was darth vader than jack nicholson
Janis: and what do those little lasses actually do, piss about in hallways
Casey: probably is scarier when you can see your dad murdering you in real life, yeah, alright, you can have that
Janis: Ian would never get the door down
Casey: I didn’t know that when I watched it as a little kid, did I, he was massive to me then
Janis: yeah, I can see it
Casey: if your kid was as much of a dickhead as that lad, you would though
Janis: his missus was a bit of a nightmare too 😱 her way about so
Casey: what’s it they say, representation matters, proper saw myself and Debbie and Ian on that screen
Janis: that would actually be shit scary though
Janis: I know what we should watch, heal your trauma
Casey: go on
Janis: one flew over the cuckoo’s nest
Janis: Jack is well better in it, gets lobotomized at the end
Janis: and there’s a hot bitch nurse, got everything you could ask for
Casey: fucking hell, can leave the porn right out
Janis: 😁
Casey: dunno about you, mate, but I’m turned on just thinking about all that
Janis: even better than space incest
Casey: will have to think too of some way to reward you for thinking up such a top film for us
Janis: better than 🥞?
Casey: won’t be easy, I know, but
Janis: I’ve got faith
Janis: fact I won’t make you write an essay about it when we’re finished should inspire you some too
Casey: Say you’re gonna in your top fuming teacher voice though, that definitely would
Janis: alright, you can pick the next film we watch
Janis: 👩🏽‍🏫📏🍑👨🏻‍🎓
Casey: been a while since I had owt like that in my search history but I’ll see what I can do
Janis: awh, you too old to even 💭 about it now
Casey: you’re old enough to be qualified, can make it work
Janis: fair, the porn has to have it right because I can’t think of a single reason I’d wanna go work with teenagers than if I wanted to fuck them so
Casey: even then, loads of jobs you could pick ahead of going to work in a school
Janis: bit obvious, just behind church in that regard
Casey: back to nun, have so many points if we’d made a game out of it
Janis: when was that last in your search history then
Casey: when were it you last brought up praying
Janis: snap
Casey: good job I ain’t shy, didn’t know how decent I had it far as privacy living with a deaf kid and you pair, can’t watch nowt without these dickheads I live with knowing about it off the shared accounts
Janis: do you at least use the good headphones
Casey: when I miss you it’d be rude not to
Janis: glad there’s no one around me right now
Janis: can miss you without worrying about that
Casey: your mum did you a favour living all that way away
Janis: middle of nowhere has its appeal
Casey: I should walk an’ all, as we’re having a twin day
Janis: you might like it, clear your head
Janis: I feel better already
Casey: yeah, why not, I’ll set off now
Janis: was wondering if the plan was to keep me waiting as long as possible
Casey: what kind of shit plan’s that
Janis: would’ve talked you out of it, that kind of mate
Casey: best mate behaviour
Janis: only the best
Casey: be why I’m chuffed to bits we’re talking again
Janis: me too
Janis: do you want me to sneak you in or tell my mum you’re coming over
Casey: best mates have secrets, we’ll wanna practice keeping it one from her, see how it works out for us
Janis: easy
Casey: long as we’re whispering
Janis: can’t think why we’d have to be any louder
Casey: but if we do think of anything, can turn the film up a bit louder itself
Janis: you’re full of good ideas
Casey: you
Janis: just another thing we’re twinning at then
Casey: must be, just those dickheads, us
Janis: I dunno, I think we’re pretty great, like
Casey: You are, I love how you talk to me
Janis: talking to you is one of my favourite things to do
Janis: I’ve hated not
Casey: and you’ve gotten me into walking, all this fresh air and space to really move about, I’m loving that at the minute an’ all
Janis: not all bad, am I
Janis: can be a good influence
Casey: so good, like
Janis: the way you talk, no one talks to me like you do, you know
Casey: they can’t want to as much as me then, or they’d not be able to help it
Janis: they’re not my best mate, not gonna be either
Casey: you’re so nice to me
Janis: I wanna be, much much nicer too
Casey: I do too, I’m gonna take such good care of you
Janis: please
Casey: only the best, like you said
Janis: that’s what you deserve
Casey: we both deserve the same
Janis: we can have it
Casey: yeah, we can
Janis: you make me happy
Casey: that’s all I’ve ever been after, I just wanna make you happy
Janis: I wanna make you happy as well
Janis: not hurt you
Casey: you are, I am right now
Janis: you’ll only be happier the longer you stay, promise
Casey: I believe you
Janis: 😁 is accurate for how that felt
Casey: show me then
Janis: [we know it’s more like 😍]
Casey: hey
Janis: hey, let me see you again
Casey: [do because you know it has the same energy just out here being turned on and emotional on main as per]
Janis: wow
Janis: rude of my best friend to look like that
Casey: be ruder of me not to, some dickheads might be thick enough to reckon you’re only that fit ‘cause you’re standing next to your ugly mate, else
Janis: you can be hot too, not that type of jealous
Casey: nor me, luckily, as there’s fuck all I can do about how hot you are
Janis: now we’re friends again, you can enjoy it, if you like
Casey: nice, I said
Janis: seeing you in person will be
Casey: I’ll try not to fall over
Janis: fuck
Janis: I’m trying not to right now feels like
Casey: you can’t, she’s gonna be fuming enough at you for waking her up as is
Janis: you’ll talk to her for me, won’t you
Casey: I’d do anything for you
Janis: she likes when you talk to her
Janis: she’s missed you too
Casey: what does she wanna hear me say right now
Janis: that you’ve missed her too
Janis: and you can’t wait to see how big she’s got
Casey: [sending it as a voice note obvs]
Janis: I’ve found somewhere to sit and I’m playing it for her
Casey: have to do one for you next, as you’re sitting down
Casey: what do you wanna hear
Janis: my name
Casey: [the absolute indecency of the way his voice would sound]
Janis: what do you want me to say right now
Janis: I
Casey: I don’t wanna tell you, I want you to just say something that you wanna say
Janis: [just telling you we wanna be your friend forever]
Casey: I’ll be your mate for as long as you keep on sounding like that, fuck
Janis: how good of a mate you are makes me sound like that
Casey: how good of a mate you are is gonna make me
Janis: do it for me and I’ll do it for you
Casey: I’ve missed you so fucking much
Janis: no one makes me feel like you Casey
Casey: you know it’s the same for me, just hearing your voice for a second, I feel like
Janis: I can almost forget how horrible it’s been, the minute you started talking to me
Casey: there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to make you forget
Janis: yeah?
Casey: yeah, whatever you want
Janis: I want what you want
Casey: then I’ll give it to you
Janis: I’ll beg
Casey: get on your knees, you miss it too
Janis: found enough excuses to be in that position in front of you
Janis: [photos right now]
Casey: [an indecent af voice note with all the sounds in reaction cos he just needs to make them rn]
Janis: you need to be making those sounds right in my ear
Casey: need is right
Janis: you’re everything I fucking need
Casey: you
Janis: stay with me here, we can just be together
Casey: me, you and her
Janis: yes
Casey: she has gotten so big
Janis: you can see my bump whatever position I’m in
Casey: challenge accepted, let’s just fucking do them all
Janis: just fuck me ‘til she’s ready to come meet us
Casey: shit, okay
Janis: are you going to cum for me now
Casey: just for you
Janis: all for you
Casey: I love you
Janis: I love you
Casey: [a pause while we all try to recover from that lol]
Janis: you still there
Casey: Not chucked this phone about nowhere
Casey: yet anyway
Janis: take that as a good sign
Casey: but is it
Casey: I was meant to helping you unfuck your head, not giving you more bollocks to feel bad about
Janis: shh
Janis: who feels bad, do you feel bad right now
Casey: you know how I feel
Janis: so keep walking and come see me like you said you would
Casey: and then what, we fuck and you work out it don’t actually fix nowt for you it only makes it worse
Janis: don’t do this
Casey: we shouldn’t have done that, I was trying to not be a dickhead
Casey: to do right by you for once instead of ruining shit
Janis: fucking hell
Casey: yeah, I knew you was upset and what did I do
Janis: exactly what I wanted you to do
Janis: until this point
Janis: that post nut clarity has hit, cool, thanks for letting me know
Casey: don’t take the piss
Janis: you’re taking the piss
Casey: how am I
Janis: I get it, I did it to you so now we’re even
Janis: that’s it, right
Casey: no that ain’t fucking it, you twat
Casey: soz that I care about the actual state of you and I’m not just sat here reckoning I can fuck the sad out of you, I can’t, no more than you could’ve done him
Janis: did I ask you to
Casey: ‘cause that’s how this works, I should keep on doing only what you tell me to and nowt you don’t, like I’m still 12, for fuck’s sake
Janis: no, just admit you’re doing what you wanna do, don’t tell me it’s for my fucking benefit when it’s not
Casey: listen to what I’m fucking saying, whoever benefits or don’t, we’re not good for each other
Janis: that’ll be why I’ve been miserable and this was the first time I felt anything but
Janis: yeah, fuck off
Casey: you’re miserable ‘cause your life is fucked, do you know how dangerous it is to put it on me that I’ll be the person who makes you feel things, this dickhead, who hurts you more than he’s ever done owt else
Janis: forget this
Janis: you’re talking to me like I’m a child, I know exactly how dangerous it is, I’m the one that’s fucking married
Janis: you two already don’t like each other, there’s nowhere near as much for you to lose
Casey: you fuck off, there’s you, the only person who matters to me, that’s everything I’ve got
Janis: what then
Janis: because you haven’t even been talking to me
Casey: you’ve got the kid on the way and he’ll never leave you, that’ll be why, nowt for you to lose
Janis: so say what you actually think
Janis: that I don’t care about you
Casey: I have said it, loads of times
Casey: and coming 2nd to him back then isn’t the same as now, not if we do this
Janis: you’re the one who’s put yourself in 2nd place
Janis: remember that
Casey: you married him and reckoned it’d be a top idea to let yourself get knocked up by him, if you’ve forgot, like
Janis: I’m talking about now, where we actually are
Janis: you’re both obsessed with the past
Casey: that is where we fucking are, unless your plan is to give him a ring to ask for a divorce and give the kid to your sister to bring up
Janis: doesn’t surprise me you didn’t hear me trying to work out what the fuck I’m going to do because you never listen
Casey: can have that in common too
Janis: fuck this, you’re a liar
Casey: It don’t become a lie the second you don’t wanna hear it if it ain’t
Janis: you were never going to come
Casey: yeah I was, I were on my way
Janis: nah, not really
Casey: [send her your location rn cos you were actually intending to show up before you got horny on main]
Janis: so?
Janis: you’re not coming
Casey: you don’t still want me to
Janis: don’t you dare
Casey: oh what, so you do
Casey: that’s bollocks
Janis: you can’t just stick by your stupid fucking decision so you have to make it my fault, piss off with that
Casey: you want my head to be as fucked as yours is
Janis: you can’t hack it, I know that now
Casey: well done, it’s only taken you years to work out
Janis: if you hadn’t fronted like you could, I wouldn’t have ever bothered
Casey: you wouldn’t have ever bothered if he could hack it, more like, you only want me ‘cause he don’t want you
Casey: that makes me feel like shit, how else is it meant to
Janis: not about him
Janis: if it was, I could fuck literally anyone else, why would it be you, who do you think I am
Casey: I know who you are, you’re not after a random dickhead
Casey: nobody else is gonna hang about looking after his kid that he ain’t fit to do nowt for
Janis: you clearly don’t know if that’s what you reckon
Casey: you wasn’t trying to fuck me before he started crying about being a dad
Janis: before my life went to shit, well yeah, I couldn’t fuck nobody before that, even you, I was trying to avoid the collapse of my marriage, obviously, sorry you took that really personally
Casey: yeah, how dare I get mardy that you wanna use me to make yourself feel better
Janis: again, if that was all it fucking was
Janis: it will be now, I can’t keep playing games with you, this is just not working for either of us so call it quits
Casey: alright
Janis: nah but this conversation doesn’t need to continue so bye
Casey: [don’t reply boy there’s actually no need]
Casey: [okay so I’m thinking the energy is that he just shows back up after getting thrown out by his housemates and we can have the cliche of y’all crossing paths as one of you comes out of a room and the other is going in cos Jimothy didn’t get chance to mention it to you yet even gal]
Janis: [the way you would look horrified because you’d be so shooketh lol like what the fuck are you doing here]
Casey: [meanwhile just shamelessly looking her over how he always do like okay how are you and how much more preggo are you since the last time, despite the fact you’re not meant to care about either of those things]
Janis: [gotta pretend we do not see ‘lasted longer than I reckoned you would’ because obviously we know you got kicked out and also true, just crossing our arms as if that’s going to cover your bump and not just frame it with how pregnant you are at this point]
Casey: [‘tah for that’ meaning thanks for saying so but also thanks for giving us the incentive to stick it out so we’d avoid this exact scenario, just STARING at said bump when she does that obvs because it’d really be popping off by now and he’s into it always]
Janis: [just shaking our head ‘did you ask Jim?’ like you better not have just shown up here without informing any of us, because obviously we were not]
Casey: [‘ask?’ with a look because the JJ vibe has always been that this is his home and he’s always welcome etc so it’s like ha there you go exposing that’s nothing but bullshit hun ‘I said’ cos obvs he didn’t just show up without a single word at all but he wasn’t begging to be allowed back it was just like this is what’s happening]
Janis: [unfolding your arms to raise your hands like fine, nothing I can do then, as if you would’ve said he weren’t allowed back regardless but this is the vibe we have to put out right now, just pushing past to go down the stairs]
Casey: [gonna have to say your back was already turned to go when he reaches for you to stop you going cos you simply can’t see that sis even though he’s obvs gonna somehow stop himself and let you go before he actually touches you ‘weren’t expecting my own cake and banner, you’re alright’ as she’s going down the stairs cos have to throw it back to then as I just re-read it]
Janis: [likewise have to stop yourself turning around to make it a proper conversation, so saying this back as we walk down ‘good’ like you won’t be getting one so you’ll only be disappointed ‘never got mine either’ like you feel hard done by as if we’re not in the same boat here sir]
Casey: [just do a little unimpressed noise like oh yeah poor you and leave it at that please so my boo can post this cos yeah the vibe do be we’re not having a convo]

Keigo's never been able to properly indulge his instincts, though you're more than willing to help him change that.
warnings: avian, feral keigo. rut/heat cycles. nesting. wing kink. breeding. horny shit, i tell u what
beta’ed: @keiqos
--------
wow :’^) this is a collab with the wuv, @keiqos!! we each worked on a fic that was our own take of keigo during his rut, and now y’all get the fun results. here is hers!!! enjoy this feast!!!
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Keigo had been acting particularly weird for the past few weeks.
He was hardly a skittish person, yet he had been avoidant and downright shy in the last month or so. Despite living together, you had hardly seen or heard from him, and when you tried to address his absence, Keigo continually brushed you off.
He was hardly meeting your eyes when you managed to be in the apartment at the same time.
Finally, one night, he came in late. You sat, waiting on the couch, very awake circa three in the morning.
His eyes went wide, knowing he was caught.
“I know it’s late, but can we talk?” You asked softly, patting the couch next to you.
Keigo nodded stiffly, wings folded timidly against his back as he sat. In his big, tough hero uniform, he looked so odd with his hands held so nervously.
“What’s going on, love?” You spoke quietly, lowering the volume of the TV to a hum. “Talk to me.”
Keigo silently picked at the threading of his gloves, then pulled off his visor. He stayed silent, eyes wide and far off.
You sighed, bringing your knees up under your body to face him. You tried to sound strong, but there was a twinge of weakness in your voice, “Are you... seeing other people?”
That notion brought Keigo right back, head snapping up to meet your own before gripping the sides of your face (harder than you would’ve expected) and rapidly shaking his head.
“No, no, no, not at all,” Keigo scooted closer to you as he spoke. “I promise, not that.”
“Then what?” You were frowning, despite Keigo’s contact feeling aloe on a burn.
Once again, Keigo seemed to stumble. His eyes averted, going glassy.
“It’s embarrassing,” His hands slip from your face, back into his lap. “Very embarrassing.”
You raised an eyebrow.
Keigo Takami was many things. But, shy and passive were not in that repertoire.
You deadpanned.
“Please, just tell me,” You huffed at him, crossing your arms. “You’ve been avoiding me for weeks, Kei’. Feels weird.”
“I know, it’s just— fuck.” His gloved hands dragged down his face, flushing a bright red.
You figured he was a bit warm.
Carefully, you reached forward, going to pull them from his hands. He stiffened harshly, watching you with... slitted eyes— (had they always been like that?). You gingerly freed Keigo’s fingers and palms, intertwining your own.
“You can tell me, Keigo,” You smiled at him, squeezing and feeling pricks of pain in the flesh of your own hands.
You noticed then, that Keigo’s fingernails were longer, pointed even. Though, they didn’t look manicured. They seemed to grow darker at the cuticle.
Your eyes widened as you looked up at Keigo as he turned his head away, half hiding his face in the fluffy collar of his jacket.
“You know how I go on a ‘business trip’ about this time every year?” Keigo asked, rubbing a clawed thumb over the back of your hands.
You nodded, “You go on lots of business trips, Kei’. What’s different about this spring one?”
Keigo shifted his legs, wings twitching at his back. His entire form emanated his uncomfortable energy. From the tension rolling off his shoulders to the way he clenched and unclenched his jaw, Keigo was visibly very anxious.
“Okay, uh, how do I explain this—” Keigo dropped his head, then looked back up at you, blinking slitted pupils at you. “You know how I’ve got wings?”
“Duh, dummy,” You rolled your eyes, reaching out to brush some fingers over one of the large, external feathers.
Oh, but you got a reaction you weren’t expecting. You hadn’t thought anything of your action, yet Keigo audibly moaned with the contact. Something loud, high, and sinful as his thighs clenched together.
Both of your eyes went wide.
“So,” You began slowly, “You have wings.”
“I have wings,” Keigo’s voice sounded tense and held in his throat, shaking just a bit. “And, I have some other avian traits as well.”
“Like...?” You coaxed. Whatever it was must’ve really made Keigo uncomfortable if he was being this resistant to talking about it. This man was the number two hero, yet he was mincing about like a kitten.
“Uhhh... They’re more behavioral. Some physical,” Keigo bit his lip, shaking his head. “What do birds do in the spring?”
“Is this a riddle?”
“No, straightforward question.”
You really thought he was pulling your leg, but based on Keigo’s words and grave expression, he was dead serious.
And you had a dead serious answer.
“Oh my god, Keigo, you migrate?!” Your mouth fell open. Keigo’s eyes went wide and he seemed to stifle a laugh before shaking his head, feathers ruffling.
“No, oh my God, no,” Keigo carried some mirth in his gaze now. “Not at all.”
You rolled your eyes, laughing with him. The tension seemed to be somewhat out of his shoulders until you set a hand on his knee and squeezed.
“Keigo, out with it,” You rolled your eyes. “I know it’s scary, but I promise, no matter what it is, I’m here for you okay?”
You let your eyes soften as you sighed, squeezing his hands.
Keigo looked you dead in the face, “We fuck, (Y/N).”
You choked on your own spit, before leaning back with a small laugh, “I know it’s been a minute with your schedule, but we do indeed do that outside of spring.”
“No, no, not like that,” Keigo ran his hands down his face, shaking his head. “I’ve been avoiding you because this whole conversation is going to be weird and embarrassing. You up for it? Because it only gets weirder.”
“Lay it on me, tailfeathers,” You rubbed your thumb over his knuckles.
Keigo took a hand to sheepishly rub the back of his neck, “One of my more... avian traits is this... I don’t know, the Commission called it a ‘rut’, but I’ve done my own research and I’m not sure if that fully encompasses all of what it is.”
You weren’t entirely unfamiliar with the concept, but you certainly weren’t an expert.
“What happens during it?”
“Uh, to be frank, exactly what happens during a bird’s mating season, and then some.” Keigo’s long nails dug into the fabric of his cargo pants. “My feathers grow in a bit differently. I nest. I get weird and territorial, possessive. I cannot tell you how much I’ve wanted to leave your neck covered in bite marks, just fucking claiming you—”
You both swallowed.
“And... You’re insatiably horny on top of all of this?” You asked, trying to ignore the way your insides were heating up.
Keigo nodded, waiting for you to reply with a softened, gooey gaze.
Oh, this was a little weird, right? Keigo was avian in some ways, but you never thought he had a whole ass mating season-
“Wait, so, in the spring, the ‘business trips’,” You used air quotes with a frown. “You’ve been just disappearing for your ‘rut’ and then coming back? Alone?”
Keigo waved his hands between the two of you, feathers fluffing up defensively behind him, “No, n-no, not like that. Never once. I’d just hole up in my apartment and fuck my hand like it was God.”
You choked.
It made sense, you and Keigo moved in together at the end of last spring. Looking back, the timing now seemed to be intentional.
“When did it start?” You asked, getting semi-intrigued by Keigo’s odd biology.
“I was sixteen, I think,” Keigo did the mental math and bit his lip. “The Commission didn’t really know what to do with me, so they would just lock me up in my room with two extra blankets and call it good.”
You choked again.
“So, you just disappear, deal with it, then come back?” You frown. “Keigo, I would’ve helped if I would’ve known.”
“I don’t know, (Y/N), it’s a lot to ask,” Keigo’s nails bit into his wrists as he squeezed. “I’m basically a horny, possessive, feral birdman for two weeks, not too mention the time leading up to it. That’s why I’ve been all distance. I’m sorry, I should’ve at least told you.”
“I would have appreciated it if you had, but I understand,” You grabbed Keigo’s hand again and squeezed. “This doesn’t exactly sound like a thing you’ve really ever been able to deal with comfortably, huh?”
“N-not really,” Keigo got all sheepish again, scooting a bit closer to you. “I haven’t really known what to do about it this year, so I’ve just been putting off facing you. I was just gonna get a hotel room or something, run off for two weeks, and then come back.”
“Another ‘business trip’?” You raised an eyebrow as Keigo looked down, all sheepish and blushy. You tutted, shaking your head. “Well, babe, not this time. I’ve got you. I’m your live-in partner and I will not let my sweet, bird boy handle horny hours alone. I haven’t made you before, right?”
That made Keigo laugh, softly, some of the stress being held still in his wings falling away.
“I appreciate that, angel, but I don’t want you to agree to do this until you fully understand it,” He beamed you a smile. God, the man was like sunshine and candy when he chose to be.
You nodded, giving him a(n) (over)confident smile, “Lay it on me, babe.”
Keigo had amassed quite a detailed understanding of his biological clock over the years, and he was able to spit it all back onto you.
“It’s basically two weeks of time where my only thoughts are ‘nest’, ’fuck’,’protect’, ’breed’—” Keigo cut himself off when your eyes went wide.
“Wait, like, have children?” You asked, gut feeling unsettled.
You and Keigo had been dating for a while, but the topic of children had never been seriously brought up.
Does helping him mean to commit to having kids?
“No, not exactly. Like, I’m trying to protect a mate and breed, but that doesn’t mean the outcome needs to be children. At all,” Keigo assured you, patting your knee. “I know, it’s weird. I definitely am not into getting you pregnant, but that instinct part of my brain is.”
“Well, I’m on birth control, so we should be good there, right?” You laughed, relieved, squeezing his hand. “What do you mean by nesting?”
“A literal nest. A spot that just smells like me and you to keep—” Keigo clicked his tongue, sighing in what seemed like relaxation, “you safe. And mine. It usually ends up being just like... my entire apartment, lots of shredded pillows, feathers, blankets. It’s honestly a nightmare.”
A nightmare, yes, but a very necessary one.
So, a plan was made.
 |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Keigo sent you off to a hotel for the days leading up to his rut. He had to prepare, get things ready and he wanted to be careful not to trigger it earlier and risk ruining what would more than likely be his first proper rut.
You took his lead, pampering yourself for a few days and letting Keigo handle the details.
(Considering how wrecked your body was going to be in the coming weeks, it was more than smart to give yourself some time to rest.)
When Keigo called you to tell you he was ready, he was sounded elated, wings audibly flapping into the receiver.
When you arrived back at the apartment, the ride up the glass elevator was daunting.
You were perfectly happy to help with Keigo’s rut, but you were a bit nervous about what he was going to be like. Though he reminded you that one of his hormonal brain’s functions was to ‘keep you safe’, it also sounded like he was going to be a bit out of his mind. You trusted him with your life, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t nerve-wracking.
The elevator dinged, sliding open to the top floor.
Keigo stood just outside.
You couldn’t help jumping back in surprise, taking in Keigo’s... state.
He looked positively feral, just on sight. Though had been warned of this, you hadn’t fully expected how visible his state would be.
Keigo apparently decided to forgo any sort of a top today as his chest was entirely bare to you. A pair of grey sweats was slung low on his hips, likely put on in a rush based on the uneven settling of the waistband. This was not even to mention the very obvious imprint of his dick against the fabric, hard just from seeing you. He was covered in a fine sheen of sweat, skin pink with rushing blood.
“Angel,” Keigo purred, yanking you from the elevator and crushing you into his chest, smothering you with kisses. Stray feathers flew to pick up your bags, carting them off to your nearby apartment.
Speaking of wings—
In the few days it had been since you’d seen Keigo, his feathers had almost entirely changed. They were still their usual bright crimson, but the filaments of the plumage seemed to be almost... shiny? You couldn’t quite place it, but there had been some sort of change in their anatomy that made his wings appear iridescent when they moved. The patterns almost seemed to swirl and streak through the plumage. You wanted nothing more than to admire them.
Without thinking (or responding to Keigo, mistake), you reached out to grab one of the feathers, “Oh wow, Keigo, they’re so pretty.”
The moment you wrapped your hand fully around the plume, Keigo clawed his... talons (?!) into your shoulders, shuddered, and screamed.
You hissed as pain radiated from your shoulders, but managed to hold both you and Keigo upright as he twitched against you.
“Fuck,” He cursed against your neck, panting.
You felt a vague, wet spot on your leg.
You blanched.
“Did... you just cum? From me touching your wings?”
Keigo nodded against, still shaking.
“S-sorry...”
The shame in his tone made your frown, pulling away from him to press a harsh kiss against his half-parted lips.
“Nope,” You murmured against his lips. “Nu-uh, you have nothing to be sorry about. I’m here to help, dummy.”
He sighed in relief, pressing into you.
It was going to be an interesting two weeks.
...
The apartment was a nightmare. Keigo really hadn’t been lying when he told about how extreme nesting was.
Notably, nothing was dirty. Keigo was actually an immaculately clean person due to his time with the Commission, but he was disorganized. And the nest of an apartment was testament to that.
There were stray feathers everywhere. Stuck in cupboards, tucked behind the TV, wedged in pillowcases and blankets, even a few under the bathroom sink. Newly purchased blankets and pillows were strewn over every surface. It appeared like you could simply fall in any area of the house and be entirely cushioned. Not to mention that Keigo’s feathers could sense every single motion in the house.
It was a sweet gesture and testament to the protective element of the rut that Keigo described.
In addition to the many layers of softness, a new, far larger mattress had even been dragged to the living room and placed on top of a high frame set against the wall of windows that overlooked the city. It was heaped with pillows, fluffy blankets, and downy-looking, glimmering feathers. All of, despite its inherent chaos, was the comfiest looking corner of the apartment.
“Oh, wow, ‘Kei,” You breathed, running a hand along a soft-looking blanket over the back of a chair. “You did such a good job!”
With that, he was pressed against you from behind.
“I... I did? You like it?” Keigo never asked for validation so openly. The implication of his inherent fear around his rut continued to make your heart ache. From what he had told you (and what you read in the days prior about avian behavior), you needed to ‘accept’ the nest he made for the two of you.
I’ll make this good for him.
“Yes, so much.” You leaned back against his chest, loving the way the heat of his bare chest seeped so well through your clothes, “I can’t wait to snuggle up with you in it and so much more.”
Your last word was more than enough to get Keigo chirping into your ear.
Yes, bird-ishly chirping.
It was a mix of high and low clicks, maybe a bit of cooing thrown in as well. As far as his avian adaptations went, this one was newer to you, but remarkably cute. You turned around, pressing a kiss to his neck without thinking.
The contact made Keigo’s aforementioned talons dig into the meat of your hips, a hot breath rolling over your ear, “Please let me fuck you.”
It was abrupt, his shift in tone, but based on the way his cock was nearly burning your backside, it was a necessary step.
“Well, I certainly won’t stop you,” You didn’t realize the unintended weight of your words, but Keigo sure as fuck did.
He roughly grabbed your wrist, dragging you across the room to the mattress in the corner.
“W-wait, not the bedroom?” You asked. Keigo pressed at your shoulders, pushing you down roughly, though the softness of the bed dressings insulated your fall.
“Nope, here, best spot,” Keigo’s words were clipped as he straddled your waist, silencing any other words you might have with a soul-sucking kiss. His tongue wormed its way into your mouth, licking at your gums and receding to suck at your tongue. All the while, you could hear and feel his feathers shudder.
He pulled away, eyes half-lidded and vertical pupils blown wide.
“You have no fucking idea how much I missed you.” Keigo’s teeth nipped at your pulse point.
Were... his teeth sharper?
You craned your neck away from him, pulling a nasty growl from his chest. You watched his feathers, both the one’s still fixed to his back and flared upwards and those scattered around, shudder and writhe.
Keigo’s canines were longer, maybe even a little sharper.
This rut thing... it was an avian thing, right?
Birds... don’t have sharp teeth... Do they?
You dismissed it, much more focused on Keigo’s hand as it slipped lower, futzing with the waistband of your pants.
“Sorry, dove, I’m a little impatient,” His voice was rough and strained, like he was holding back.
His normally nimble hands struggled with the button of your fly, and with a nasty growl, he snatched up one of his nearby feathers, hardening it in an instant, and slicing your pants off.
“Keigo!” You shrieked, squirming, and sitting up as he tore off the ruined garment. “I liked those! That wasn’t nice.”
“I think I’m done being nice to you for a bit, dove.” He shot you a dark look.
You blinked at him.
Keigo had warned you that he would be a bit feral... but you weren’t expecting his nasty attitude.
You also weren’t expecting to be turned on by the rage-filled spikes in his words.
“Get on your hands and knees.” Keigo’s voice was clipped as he slipped off his sweats.
Holy.
Fuck.
Keigo’s cock was nothing to fucking sneeze at. It was pretty, long, with nice girth and a perfect curve for your pussy. He tended to keep his body hair well kept and groomed, an old remnant of the militancy of his youth.
Oh, but ‘fuck you until you’re pregnant’ Keigo?
His dick was a bit bigger, engorged with what had to be painful blood flow. Heavy balls hung below, ripe and flushed, in desperate need of contact, let alone release. Maybe it was the ambiance (or, the smell and pheromones unknowingly being inhaled into your endocrine system), but his dick looked immaculate.
“Is your dick bigger, babe?” You asked, half-drooling in your mind at your lover’s cock. It certainly wasn’t hard to.
Keigo normally would’ve clawed at the opportunity to schmooze you for stroking his ego so directly, but your current version of Keigo was far less into flattery.
“I said, get on your hands and knees.” He didn’t wait for you to reply, just flipped you onto your stomach, straddling your upper thighs. You yelped at the shock of sheets hitting your front, fabric tearing behind you as Keigo made quick work of your shirt.
You gulped as Keigo’s hands, talons, raked their way down your bare back as he let loose a loud, quaking sigh, “Oh, Angel, holy fuck.”
He said the pet name like it was a prayer to God and you let him.
You shivered under him as his nails drew lines up your neck, all the way into your scalp. Without warning, he pressed the heel of his hand into the curve of your skull, shoving you deeper into the plushness of the nest below you.
Oh... Fuck. Were you about to sloppy fuck in the sheets you’d be spending the next several weeks in?
(Yes.)
The somewhat gross revelation was quickly forgotten as Keigo’s hot breath shuddered against your ear, his (oh my fucking god slightly pointed?) tongue curled along the soft skin of your pulse point.
You both choked down a moan as his exposed cock rubbed against your backside.
“You’re so pretty like this,” For being feral, and for the blood that was quickly rushing to your head and sex, Keigo sounded very nice. “Gonna look so cute with my cock inside you, right?”
You nodded into the sheets, struggling to raise yourself up on your elbows as Keigo hauled your hips up.
Stabilizing yourself on the softness of the sheets and feathers was much more difficult than one would think. You were already slipping, no matter how you tried to hold yourself up.
“I can’t begin to tell you how much I want to fill you up, right now,” His voice takes on a dreamy lilt as he shoves you back, further into the nest. You crawl on your hands and knees, succumbing to Keigo’s hand on your neck after arriving to the middle of the massive mattress. “But, I also really don’t wanna hurt my angel. Gotta make sure you’re good and ready.”
The sentiment was nice enough, but you stiffened, remembering that Keigo’s nails were not only sharpened, but slightly hooked. You tried to turn, but quickly stop when you felt Keigo’s hot, hot breath over your sex.
You shuddered, biting your lip as his pointed tongue ran up and down your slit. From his hold on the meat of your thighs, you could tell he was trembling and burning. Whether it was from how much he needed you or how much he was holding himself back, you couldn’t be sure.
Keigo’s pointed tongue ran up between the lips of your cunt, both of you moaning at the sensation. You felt his wings raise behind the two of you, casting shadows down on your display in some weird show of dominance.
It made your skin run hot.
What made it run even hotter was the jolt you received Keigo pressed his face into your cunt with absolute zero shame.
His tongue slicked up the lips of your pussy, dipping around your opening with absolutely sinful sounds falling around the two of you.
When you tried to adjust your arms, you caught a quick slap to your ass, pain only pushing your eyes to roll back in your head as Keigo sneered against you.
“Greedy.” It was a rich line, coming from him, king of gluttony, but you weren’t about to argue with him.
His nails dug into your thighs, dragging your cunt and his face together to the point where it felt like there was no space between them. You were helpless to do much other than grind back on his tongue as he tongue-fucked your cunt.
Keigo drew away, grabbing you by the hips and spinning you. Your back hit the nest, eyes spinning as you weren’t so used to him outright manhandling you. You sucked in a breath as you stared up at Keigo, his face slick with your juices and enlarged wings spread out and upwards.
The slits of his eyes were blown wide, a toothy smile beaming down at you. It seemed sort of sweet before two of his clawed-fingers (thankfully, somewhat gingerly) spread the lips of your cunt. He spat onto your exposed clit, no reverie in his actions as his avian glare slipped over you.
A harsh clicking came from the back of his throat, feathers fluttering.
“B-Babe? Are you okay?” You asked as Keigo refused to look away from your splayed-out body.
“More than okay,” He shuddered, looking a bit more grounded for a moment. He swallowed, shaking his head.
Surprisingly, he reached out to cup the side of your face, rubbing a thumb over your cheek, “If you want me to stop, can you tell me now?”
“I don’t want to, Kei’,” You laid your words on thickly, knowing you had his lucidity. “Can you please fuck me? Fill me up, Kei’.”
He growled, something from deep in his chest, nodding, feathers shimmering in the light of the room.
He was on you instantly, wings flapping to shove his body into yours, lips on yours and tongue pressing into your mouth. The tapered appendage licks and literally fucks your mouth, robbing you of air as you weave your hands into his sweaty tresses and pull.
The pain spurred him on, one of his hands sloppily going between the two of you to line his fat cock with your cunt. He was considerate enough to rub circles on your clit as he rammed into your insides in one single motion.
Your eyes went wide, snapping open and you tug the bite of your nails into the back of Keigo’s head, held by the burning stretch and pleasant ache of your insides.
Keigo had been fairly quiet during this entire ordeal, an odd thing considering he normally ran his mouth dry with praises, filth, and sweet nothings when he was half this close to your cunt. Yet, he’d hardly spoken through most of it, and most of your reading of him had been based on body (and wing language).
But, when he did finally bottom out, shaking and straining, it clicked.
Based on the sweat that was rolling down his temples, the veins bulging in his forearms, and the rigid tension in his shoulders, he was holding his rut-crazed body back.
You frowned, trying to ignore the kiss of his cock head against your cervix.
Recalling some of the things Keigo told you about some of his more animalistic desires, you decided to egg him on to breaking. Based on the rapid twitching of his wings, he needed it.
Keigo just barely moved, biting his lip and harshly exhaling.
“Baby,” Your own voice broke as you spoke, falling back into his mutant desires as well. “Please, please, fuck me how you need. Please.”
“S’fine, this is enough,” Keigo gritted out as he dragged his cock almost entirely out of your dripping cunt.
To emphasize your need, you grabbed a fistful of his feathers at the base of his wings and tugged, making sure to press your nails to the bone.
Keigo threw his head back, moaning high into the air, a coo mixing with the sound as his wings shuddered in your grip.
You buckled down.
“No,” You whined, hooking your legs behind the small of his back, thumbing at the plumage as he writhed from your touch. “Fuck me, like you mean it, Keigo. Fill me up.”
He paused, freezing, eyes darting up to your own.
“S-say that again.”
You grinned, dragging his stiff neck down to your mouth, dragging your tongue to his ear, “I said I want you to fill me up. Stuff me full of your cum and breed me so good, please, Kei’.”
You’d never spoken like that to him during sex, and you quickly understood why.
The moment the words left your lips, Keigo slammed his hips back into you, wings fanning out as wide as they could.
His lips found your neck, cock rearranging your insides with the immediate force and pace of his thrusts. His hands grappled at your hips, your tits, your shoulders, and your legs, anything to get to ram himself into you. Each thrust was punctuated by growls and clicks from the back of his throat, filthy words finally fell from his lips without a trace of shame.
“Oh, baby, I’m gonna breed you so good,” Keigo’s voice was breathy as he raked his nails down your neck, light lines following as he bottomed out in you once more. He roughly grabbed one of your tits, pinching your pebbled nipple. “Gonna make you gush for me, yeah, I am.”
You could’ve given an equally horny response, but Keigo’s tongue was quickly in your throat, groaning into your mouth as his pace picked up to something inhumane.
It was short-lived, the wet slapping of his heavy balls stalling as he damn near screamed into your mouth, coming deep in your throbbing cunt.
You shuddered, feeling his load already dripping from your cunt onto the sticky sheets below you.
Keigo’s lips parted from yours, half-lidded eyes looking glazed and dreamy.
You thought that nutting twice so closely together would slow him down, but you were remarkably wrong.
You rolled your hips up, smiling, “Feeling okay, Kei’?”
Keigo blinked down at you, lowering his head to nose at your jaw. You tilted your head for him, spine curling when you felt him begin to move again, still fully hard.
“I’m not done yet.” His words were curt and sharp as his arms caged around your head. The sharp peaks of his canines caught on the skin of your neck, dragging and sucking. “Gotta make sure you’re fucked nice and good with my brood, dove. So good.”
You swallowed, eyes rolling back when Keigo bit down at the base of your neck.
Keigo’s hips slammed back into yours, his pace picking up and the squelching of your slick and his cum ringing around the room. You could hardly focus on it, or anything as he quickly threw your legs over his shoulders, moving his licks and bites to your calves and thighs.
Your clit throbbed with each thrust, wet and craving contact. When you reached down to play with yourself, Keigo swatted your hand away with a growl, a red feather from the bed replacing it. The small, soft crimson feathers lapped at your clit, making quick circles as it became wet with slick.
With the hold on your legs, he hauled you upwards, your lower half lifted off the bed and held by only Keigo’s grip and the curve of your spine. You keened with each of his thrusts, listening to the wild words that spilled from his lips while he rammed your cunt raw.
They were mostly incoherent, half-sentences about how he was going to ‘breed you until he’s shooting blanks’, ‘fuck you full with his brood’ and ‘reem you until you grew feathers’. Each phrase got your breath going fast, his grip and pace forcing your lungs to fill faster and faster.
The feather against your cunt grew sloppier, nearly vibrating with its jerky movement. A well-timed swat to your clit by Keigo’s own hand while he talked about your ‘life-giving pussy’ was what sent you over the edge, cunt tightening around his cock.
His words reached peak incoherency as he rammed into your cervix, spilling into you with a harsh wail, wings stretching upwards and bumping against the ceiling.
You expected a moment of reprieve, but before you could even think, still spinning with your own orgasm, Keigo flipped you onto your tummy once more.
Despite signing up for this sort of treatment, your insides already ached. The friction of Keigo’s fat cock had stretched you perfectly, all for him, but the deep ache in your core was getting a bit distracting. This was not even mentioning how sore your muscles were getting, pulling from the pacing and positioning Keigo chose at whim.
You didn’t voice your pains, buckling down on your psyche (or, what you had left of it), as Keigo slid into you once more.
“Oh baby,” His voice was slippery as he wound his hands through your hair, pulling and forcing your back into a severe arch. “You feel that?”
He fucked into you harshly, the squelch that followed serving as a reminder of how he’d already more than filled you up.
“So pretty and round with my seed...” Keigo’s words got dreamy and slow, just for a moment as he smoothed his hand over your hips, “Just need to make sure it takes...”
The feather from earlier was back on you as he started up once more, babbling and flapping his massive wings as he fucked you numb.
You came as he did the next time, your legs giving way under the pressure and sensation. Keigo was quick to tsk, two more of his feathers moving to hold you up as he started to move again, cock never leaving your spent cunt.
The parts of your brain that were still working and not reduced to a pile of mush wondered how the fuck he was still hard, but all things considered, it shouldn’t have been surprising. Besides, he deserved to satiate himself properly, fucking your gushing cunt, considering he’d never gotten to indulge in his instincts like this before.
Despite how you burned all over, you let him finish inside you yet again.
And again.
And again?
You lost count at some point.
Keigo apparently really liked you face-down, ass-up, and kept you like that as he fucked you full over and over again. After having his taloned-hand stuck into your hair holding you to the duvet and pillows for so long, your head was spinning. What made all of this all the more overwhelming was the small feather that never fucking stopped moving—
“Kei’, please!” You screamed, voice hoarse and dry. You’re spinning, aching, and yet you still want more.
Keigo’s pace increases, using his wings to rut against your cervix over and over.
The tempo of the feather increased, Keigo’s growls falling away into his own shriek as he pushed forwards once more, hot cum spraying your walls all over again.
The sensations, all of them, pushed you over the edge, a shriek tearing from your throat as hot tears soaked the nest below. Your orgasm curled your toes to the point of pulling muscles, back bowing and straining as broiling pleasure swallowed you once more.
Keigo might’ve kept fucking you after that, you couldn’t really remember. With the plumes of feathers under your knees, he could’ve and you wouldn’t have known.
Your body and mind were spent, trying to keep up with his appetite. Your eyes rolled back behind your eyelids, and lucidity was gone to you.
 ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
You awoke to soft cooing sounds and the smell of sweat.
It was jarring, shifting the slightest bit and feeling aches and pains you didn’t even know you could have.
The cooing stuttered, falling into a chuckle.
Oh.
Keigo.
His rut.
Oh.
“Oh my god, Kei’, did you fuck me unconscious?” It came out almost as a growl, voice cracking and low.
A hand carded through your hair as you opened your eyes, taking in the state of yourself, Keigo, and the nest.
You were both sweaty, sticky and smelling all sorts of musky. It was intoxicating, lulling you. It must’ve been those pheromones that Keigo had mentioned way back when.
Keigo had nestled you to his chest, wings spread behind him and shimmering. The windows outside showed only the neon of the city below, night having long since fallen.
He beamed down at you with a clear fondness, a lot of the tension gone from his body, and looking significantly less stressed. But, there was a sad quirk in his brow.
“Sorry about that, angel, I got kind of out of hand there,” Keigo replied sheepishly, smile turning a little sad.
You frowned.
You couldn’t have him thinking that.
“Nope, no, not at all,” You pushed yourself on an elbow, wincing at the pain, but recovering to peppering his stubbly chin and cheeks with kisses. “None of that, silly. I am happy to help, whatever that entails. I love you, you know?”
Keigo relaxed even more, falling against the nest and pulling you to his chest, “You gotta stop being so sweet, dove. Gonna get me riled up again.”
You hummed, kissing the tip of his nose, “That’s more than fine, just rub my shoulders a bit first. I think I pulled something.”
He kissed at your sweaty hair, rubbing his hands up and down your sides, “I’m more than happy too, dove. Thank you.”
His hands met your shoulders, rubbing at the sore muscles, careful to avoid pressing his talons into the skin.
You heard him say so softly, more to himself than to you, “I’m gonna keep you so safe.”
The grin that came across your face rivaled the sun in its brightness and honey with its sweetness. You melted into his touch, dissolving blissfully into the smells and feel of your nest.
Keigo left kiss after kiss against soreness, cooing and clicking as his rut-based needs were more than met.
For once.

look at my sunshine🥺
꘎♡━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━♡꘎
Your giggles filled the hallway as you lead Tom into your makeshift studio. Since you were quarantining with him and his mates in their shared home in London, you were miles away from your crew and studio. Which, yes, made it difficult to record an entire album on your own—but it did give you the creative freedom to do whatever you pleased for the album.
The boys had their own creative outlets; for example putting together a puzzle or having a movie marathon. While you found those activities enjoyable, the inner singer in you couldn’t stop thinking of beats or coming up with lyrics in your head. You needed the studio—you needed to bring those beats and lyrics to life before you could forget them. So with the help of the houses’ tech lord himself, Harry made it possible for you to have your own little studio in the spare guest room of the house. There, you spent endless days writing and recording things like harmonies and building melodies. Little did you know that this would lead to the creation of your sixth album. Now a couple months later, your latest album is currently in its final stages and would soon be released to the world.
Tom adoringly watched your figure, which was drowned in one of his oversized jumpers, excitedly skip towards the guest room. As soon as you were both inside, you rushed to close the door and eagerly pushed him to sit on the edge of the bed.
“What have you been up to, lovey?” He teasingly asks you. He knew you were up to something, he just didn’t know if it were bad or good.
Your figure was bent over the desk where your laptop was located. Turning over your shoulder you tell him, “It’s nothing bad, I promise!” You’re met with an amused grin on his blush pink lips.
Gathering your laptop into your arms, you move to sit beside Tom on the bed. He curiously leans forward, trying to get a glance at what’s on your screen.
“Nuh uh, it’s a surprise, Thomas.” You playfully scold him and gently push his face away from your laptop. He responds with a pout against your palm before pressing a kiss onto your skin. You continue to click around on your laptop, looking through your documents for the specific file.
Meanwhile, Tom shuffles further up the bed, getting comfortable. He notices the new distance between you and him and decides that he’s unsatisfied with the additional inches. He choses to snake his arms around your waist and lifts you up, happily placing you on the empty and lonely space on his lap. Laying down on his back, he takes a moment to admire the way you look in his jumper. It was a few sizes bigger than you and stopped right above your knees. The jumper may have looked good on him, but it looked absolutely perfect on you.
“You look so cute in my jumper.” He hums, hands lazily rubbing up and down your thighs. Your nose scrunches up as you lightly slap his chest; your silent way of saying “shut up” whenever Tom would say something that made you blush.
You finally find the file you were looking for and place your laptop on your lap. You nervously glance at your screen, biting down on your lip out of habit.
“Ok, so I did something.” You started. Tom squints his eyes at you, “That sounds like the beginning of a really bad something.”
You huff, “I just told you it wasn’t anything bad! Do you want your surprise or not?”
Tom chuckles and grasps onto your thighs, “Yes—yes, sorry, keep going.”
“So you know how I’ve already finished my album?” You question him. Tom nods, staring up at you while you sit on his thighs.
“Well, I wrote a few more songs that were supposed to be on the album. But I don’t know, I felt a bit greedy and decided to keep them for myself.” You explain. Tom raises a brow at you, “Baby, you don’t have to feel guilty about keeping songs to yourself. If you don’t want to share them, you don’t have to.”
“No, it’s just that, they’re about you.” You pause, staring down at your fingers that fiddled together. “Like I wrote them specifically for you to listen to. I wanted to include them on the album, but it just didn’t feel right to share something that was meant only for you.”
You place your laptop on the bed and turn it so the screen is facing Tom.
“So...as a solution, I made you your own album.” You were too busy avoiding his stare, that you missed the twinkle in Tom’s coffee colored orbs. He carefully sits up, his arms around you getting tighter, as he pulls you closer into his chest. Tom ducks his head down to yours, nudging your nose with his to get you to look at him. When your eyes finally meet, the lopsided grin on his features grows wider.
“You made me my own album?”
“Yeah.” You shyly answer. Tom softly coos at you, cupping your face and pressing a chaste kiss onto both of your cheeks.
“You are the most precious thing in the world, sunshine, I swear.” He squishes your cheeks together and began to cover your face with butterfly like kisses. Sweet laughs erupt from you, the sounds making Tom’s heart swell.
You stuff your face in the space between his neck and shoulder, using it as a place to hide from his lips. Instead, Tom opts to lay his kisses along the side of your face, your neck, and your shoulder.
“Lemme kiss you!” He whines. You chuckle at him, finally moving away from his neck. His attention darts towards your lips more than once, prompting you to lean forward and connect them with his. Tom’s lips were soft against yours, like clouds or cushiony pillows. The kiss was short and sweet; though it didn’t prevent you from feeling the adoration and passion he felt for you in that moment. In fact, he felt it all the time, but right now, his love for you was coursing through his veins.
He finally pulls away, leaving the taste of him linger in your mouth. “Can I have a listen?” He motions his head towards your laptop beside him.
“Go ahead.” Tom’s arms unravel from your waist, the area they once occupied left cold and yearning for his warmth. He uses one of his elbows to hold himself up and the other to control the touchpad. His eyes scan the file.
For Tom x
someone like u
test drive
worst behavior
main thing
He glances at you, “I start with ‘someone like u’, right?” You reply with a quiet “mhm”.
Tom clicks on the link. The opening notes of ‘someone like u’ begin to play followed by your angelic voice. You hear him release a content sigh, making a small smile to form on your lips. His arms make their way around you again, this time holding you closer against him. He rests his head on your chest and sneakily presses a kiss onto your neck. You fondly run a hand through his curly hair and rest your chin on the top of his head, listening to the songs you’ve made for him.
The two of you listen through the album in one go with no stops. You found joy in Tom’s reactions towards every song. Sometimes he would make little comments or sounds of shock whenever he heard you hit a certain note. He nodded along to the beats of ‘test drive’ and ‘worst behavior’, dancing around in his seat and making you join him. This time, you didn’t miss the twinkle in his eyes when he listened closely to the lyrics. ‘Main thing’ got him the most, leaving him with a goofy-lovesick grin plastered onto his face.
When ‘main thing’ came to a close, the room became silent, leaving Tom enough time to process the four songs you wrote about him and the meanings behind them.
You were the first to speak, “So did you like it?” You scan his face looking for any signs of dislike.
Tom’s eyes widen, “Are you kidding me? That was bloody fantastic—that was the most amazing thing I’ve ever heard! I’m obsessed with it, oh my god!” He expressed, arms moving around as he spoke.
His face was radiating with happiness, “You are the most talented and loving woman in the world. And I honestly don’t know what I did to deserve you or your love—but I just love you so fucking much.”
“I love you so fucking much too, you dork.” You laugh, pecking his lips.
“No, but seriously, thank you so much. I know you’re used to writing songs, but the fact that you actually took the time to write songs about me means a lot. They’re just a bunch of songs, but they mean the world to me and I cherish each and every one of them.” He admits, taking one of your hands and placing it onto his heart. Your palm feels the faint rhythm of his heart beating against his chest.
You tilt your head at him, mirroring the smile on his face, “I’ll always write songs about you. You somehow manage to inspire them anyway.”
Tom smirks, “Well I am Tom Holland.” You snort and roll your eyes at his humble brag.
“You’re still a dork, Tommy.” You comment.
Tom shrugs, “I’m a special dork because I’m your dork. Therefore making me superior to the other existing dorks—there’s a difference, darling.”
“And where did you come up with this hypothesis, Mr. Holland?” You question him, playing along with his antics.
“It’s Tom’s Theory.” He answers with feign seriousness. You burst out laughing, “Oh is it?”
Tom leans down to your laptop and restarts his album. “Yes, and now Tom’s Theory, believes that we should listen to the album again until I learn all the lyrics to every single song.” He proclaims.
“Babe, you don’t have to—” Tom stops you, “I’m dead serious.”
It was going to be a long night.

Request: Near Death (Volturi Leaders x Reader)
WARNING: Major Injuries! Near Death Situations!
Disclaimer: I am not a doctor or in the medical profession. I did some google searches for the themes mentioned. Such injuries usually take weeks to months of healing not to mention rehabilitation. I’ve had to condense this process down significantly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alice's eyes shifted rapidly, panic etched across her face. Jasper held her hands, sitting beside her. It was his attempt to comfort her but she didn't seem to recognise he was even there, too caught up in the vision as well as the panic. She wouldn't even explain what was happening before her. Alice begged for someone to contact the Volturi. However Carlisle was at work and no one else knew if he'd have a direct line to them.
Regardless, Alice continued to plead to inform the Volturi. Inform them of what, it was yet to be known. She wouldn't say. "What is it Alice?" Jasper asked again, trying to get her attention as Emmett typed away on the laptop. "We're going the long way." He said hurriedly as Rosalie grabbed the phone. She looked over Emmett's shoulder as she dialled. She didn't even spare whoever it was on the other end of the phone a greeting. "This is Rosalie Cullen and you need to pass the phone to the Volturi immediately! No, not just a guard! Aro! Anyone! Just do it!" Rosalie turned her attention to Alice. "Alice, you need to tell us what's happening now!"
Everything was peaceful in the Volturi castle. Yet the receptionist seemed to start pandemonium in a matter of seconds. She hurried to the first guard she could find who had been Jane. She stared the human down as the receptionist hurriedly relayed that Rosalie Cullen was on the phone and had to talk to the leaders. All in fluent hurried Italian with fear of the situation as well as fear of Jane. Jane silently took the phone, telling the human to go back to her post which she did. "Rosalie?" Jane said into the phone. "Jane!?" "Yes?" "Jane, this is an emergency. You need to go to Aro immediately!" "What is this about?" "Don't ask questions, just do it!" Rosalie snapped. All the while Jane could hear a panicked Alice Cullen in the background rambling. Jane huffed but complied.
Jane moved briskly into the throne room, moving into the middle, phone in hand with a stern expression upon her face. "Masters, pardon the intrusion but Rosalie Cullen is on the phone. She deems it is an emergency. I believe I may have heard (Y/N)'s name." The three suddenly had all their attention on Jane. "Jane!? Jane are they there!?" Jane put the phone onto speaker. "We're all here and can hear you." "Alice had a vision about (Y/N). Some thing is happening!"
Rosalie's attention moved back to Alice. "Alice! They're on the phone! You need to tell us what is happening!" "I chased it!" Alice cried out. "I chased the vision. I saw (Y/N) in a car and i think it was about to crash!" There was silence on both ends, only Alice saying a word. "I'm trying to see further!" Alice continued to talk, no one else able to say a word. "I saw them lying there in a hospital bed, please let me be wrong! Please!" Suddenly Alice screamed and the three leaders rushed towards Jane who still had the phone. "Alice, what is happening!?" Aro demanded. "They...it crashed. They...they're not moving!"
Charlie Swan kept his hand on his radio, listening in for any updates. More police had been called in when it was discovered the driver who collided into the taxi vehicle was very drunk. He had been speeding whilst intoxicated and both vehicles were absolutely destroyed. The taxi driver had so many injuries that he couldn't be properly identified. It was clear the man was dead. He had to have died instantly. His passenger on the other hand wasn't so easy to determine. Although Charlie recognised them immediately. You were a family friend of Carlisle's.
The paramedics on scene determined it was necessary to remove you from the vehicle. So with help from officers, they did. You were laid on the cold ground. From what Charlie could hear, you were barely clinging on and completely unresponsive. You had to be taken to hospital immediately. That was when Charlie could get a better look at you. You were in very bad shape and covered in blood from your head. Never would he know, as his thoughts went to the Cullen family, Alice had already seen the image of your unconscious body and unable to hold back, she screamed.
Before the three Volturi leaders decided they'd immediately go to America, another phone call was received this time from Carlisle. Half an hour after Alice's phone call. "Are they alright?" Aro asked. Carlisle was silent in the other end of the phone before finally answering. "We nearly lost them on the way to the hospital. They're condition is very unstable right now. However we're doing everything we can to stabilize them. We'll be working on them all night. I'd ask that you wait for my next call before you leave." "You ask that we stay here whilst our mate is over there and injured!?" Caius seethed. "I need your trust. I will do everything I can. As soon as I have more answers, I'll give them to you and we can go from there." "Carlisle..." Marcus finally spoke up. "Are they going to make it through the night?" There was silence again. "I will do everything in my power to make sure that the next time we speak, (Y/N) is stable and we can arrange for you to come. I'm sorry, I can't give you anything more than that." Marcus clenched his eyes shut turning away. Aro and Caius knew what he was thinking immediately. He couldn't go through this again, losing another mate. Caius wanted to demand that you be changed but he knew that wasn't possible in your condition and where you were. There was too much attention surrounding you.
Hours passed and the silence from Carlisle was slowly killing the three leaders. Caius was the first to break the silence. "We should never have left them there." His voice was quiet- which was very unlike him. "It's what they wanted." Aro replied softly. "We wanted them here." Caius shot back. "We don't even know how this happened." "We will." Aro responded. "We need to have hope that (Y/N) pull through." "If they don't?" Caius asked. "That's not an option." Aro replied.
For twelve hours, a different kind of silence lay over the Volturi castle- a heavier one. The three perked up as the phone rang again. Caius and Marcus stood up sharply. Marcus had his hands covering his nose and mouth, pure anxiety hitting the man at this point. Aro was the one who answered the phone. "Hello, Aro. We were operating all night. I have good news and bad news. I will start with the good. (Y/N) is alive and significantly more stable." Marcus exhaled, falling back into his chair, Caius putting a hand on Marcus' arm to steady him. Caius' hand stayed on Marcus' arm as he glared into the phone as though trying to pry out more information. "They are?" Aro responded. "Yes. Although I'd ask you all be sitting down for the bad news. It's quite hard hitting and extensive." Caius grumbled but also sat back down. "Go on, friend." Aro said.  "(Y/N)'s injuries are mostly in their head and torso. Their legs are badly bruised but not broken. They have minor cuts in their hands and arms from the glass shattering. We believe they moved their arms to cover their face. Their spine is bruised but not broken. Upon the investigation with the police, (Y/N) was jolted multiple times upon impact. Their face is bruised but I couldn't feel any fractures or breaks. Unfortunately we discovered more serious injuries upon further inspection which forced us to operate. (Y/N) has broken ribs which punctured her organs and caused internal bleeding. We have since stopped the bleeding and corrected the breaks within their ribs which will be healing in weeks. However, I must inform you that (Y/N) has not been responsive or conscious during their observation period. We have discovered that (Y/N) has minimal brain activity." "What does that mean?" Aro asked quietly. "It means that (Y/N) is in a coma." "Carlisle, I don't know what that means." Aro said flatly but his jaw had begun to clench. "It means that (Y/N) is alive but cannot be woken up. They show no sign of awareness and is unresponsive to their environment. Sometimes the extensive injuries cause the brain to shut down to minimal activity so that the healing process can take place. They are currently in a vegetative state and at this time, all we can hope is that they will at one point wake up on their own." "Can we go to them?" Marcus asked. "I have to keep in what we are and I think it's best if you make that decision, wary that the smell of their blood will be stronger." Carlisle answered. "It will take us a few days." Caius continued, the other two leaders no longer able to speak. "Surely that would be enough for that to settle." "Of course. All I ask is that you prepare yourself to see them. It will be a shock and I will need to prepare you before hand regardless."
When those days passed and the three leaders had arrived. They discovered there had been no change in your condition. Carlisle had somehow been able to get you transported to his home given the relationship he had with you. Therefore he would be able to care for you, just as he had in the hospital. However, as unconventional as it was, the hospital insisted they remained updated with your condition.
The three leaders and Carlisle stood outside your room, Carlisle put his hand on the handle. Before they'd enter your room, Carlisle warned the three again. "You'll see them attached to a lot of machinery. Keep in mind it's a very good sign that (Y/N) is breathing on their own, however they do have apparatus to help them breathe better. Although I am more concerned that their visible injuries will be shocking for you." "Thank you for preparing us, friend." Aro said passively and Carlisle opened the door. The three were around your bed in moments. All exhaling with horror and heartbreak.
You looked more fragile than you had ever. Purple, black and blue bruises across your body from what they could see. However the cuts in your hands seemed to be the first thing to really heal. "Why not change them now?" Caius said flatly trying to hide his emotions but the way he physically sank into himself, as well as the broken look in his eyes, he was broken by the very sight of you. Carlisle shook his head. "They can't be changed. Not until they wake up." "Why?" Caius asked sternly. "Because right now there is a chance that they won't wake up. Changing them won't fix this. We need to give them time." "So we sit and do nothing and hope they wake up!?" Caius snapped. "You're role is just as important and it's vital that you do it. Be there with them, talk to them, comfort them because I can't do that. You're their mate." Carlisle responded before turning to Aro. "All we can hope is that they wake up and then we'll take it from there." Marcus lightly touched your hand. "Do they knew we're here?" "Comas aren't so clear. We don't know if they can hear us." Carlisle responded. "Regardless it's important you interact with them because it may prompt their brain to respond to stimuli. Even if you don't get a response. It'll help." "Thank you, Carlisle." Aro said with a blank stare. Carlisle nodded. "I'm so sorry that I couldn't fix this." Carlisle said with sympathy and some guilt. Aro nodded. "You did everything you could." "I had really hoped for a better outcome. That they'd be awake for you arriving." Aro smiled slightly. "We all had that hope, nevertheless, our mate is alive because of you. For that, we are grateful." "Carlisle?" Caius spoke up, his fingers coaxing your hand gently into his. "How did this happen?" "The accident?" Carlisle asked. Caius nodded. "A drunk driver, speeding and collided into the car (Y/N) was in. The one driving in (Y/N)'s vehicle died instantly." Caius mouth twisted in hatred. "A human...nearly killed our (Y/N) because they were intoxicated?" Carlisle slowly nodded. "Don't tell us who it was." Marcus said gravely, his eyes stuck onto you. "If you do, we won't hesitate to kill him." "Laws, be damned." Caius agreed. "One more thing..." Marcus spoke up, finally tearing his eyes from you and towards Carlisle. "Are they in pain? Right now and before. Has (Y/N) suffered?" Carlisle shook his head. "They haven't been conscious and now that we know they're in a coma. I can safely say that haven't felt a thing. Due to the minimal brain activity and unresponsiveness, they won't feel any pain. None of their senses are working." Carlisle continued. "Remember what I said, the most random of interactions at any time can be picked up and that's the first sign of waking up."
Aro was the first to really approach you. He ran his fingers across your cheek. He couldn't see anything from the accident onwards. He didn't dare lose hope that you were still in there though. "Hello, beautiful. We're here now." He said softly, kissing your forehead. Caius silently looked at his brother. Watching as he doted over you with ease. He couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy, wishing he could move past his emotions and do the same. However the most he had been able to accomplish was lightly touching their hand, coaxing it into his own. It wasn't the same, your hand was described as the rest of your body. Unresponsive. His touch went unnoticed and he had never longed for even a twitch in your body. Some movement that told him you were there. However his silent pleads went ignored and you didn't move.  Aro smiled at his brothers, seemingly knowing what they were feeling and why they hesitated. "You need to think of it like they are here because for all we know, they are. They've been waiting for us."
Sometimes all three stayed with you, other times they took turns individually, each growing to find comfort that you were still alive and it's easier to think you were still in there. When it was Caius' turn. You'd have been shocked as he had closed himself off from everyone, barely speaking a word whether in company or left alone with you. Caius seemed to struggle the most with your condition. He struggled to see past it. Struggled with knowing you weren't conscious and you didn't know he was there. He found it more difficult to talk to someone who wouldn't give even the smallest sign they had heard him.
The first thing he did was approach your bedside, hovering over you to kiss your forehead. Caius whispered something to you, in that moment, unable to care whether you could hear it or not. The relief had finally sank in that you had survived the accident. "Thank you for not dying." He pulled up a chair beside you. "I never thought I'd see you like this." Caius softly admitted. "Forgive me. I find it difficult to talk to you. I know it could help. I look at you and the pain in my chest only grows bigger. So much that I'm unable to talk. I want to be optimistic like everyone else. Talk to you because you will eventually wake up. I want that more than anything. Instead I can only stare as my heart breaks over and over again because someone hurt my (Y/N) and I wasn't here to protect you." Caius paused, his eyes running over you. "Marcus says that you look peaceful. Like your sleeping. I think to myself about how deluded that sounds. Even looking at you now. This isn't you sleeping. All I see is your body laying there. Day in and day out." Caius sighed. "So I must ask of you, please sweetheart." Caius leaned closer. "Please, fight to wake up. Let us see those beautiful eyes again. What I wouldn't do to see that wonderful smile again." Caius trailed off, the small reminiscing smile falling from his friend. "I know it's a lot to ask. Please understand that I have to. If you can hear me, please fight to wake up and come back to us."
Aro was the most capable of them all to speak to you. He did so with ease and without hesitation. "Hello cara mia." He smiled as he kissed your forehead. "All of that bruising is healing nicely. Some of the smaller ones are gone. Isn't that wonderful?" Aro gently held your hand. "The guard have been asking about you, perhaps we'll let them see you soon. Once some of more these cuts and bruises heal. You'll get a break from Caius, Marcus and I too." Aro hummed in amusement. "As tempted as we were to bring the full guard. Perhaps that wouldn't have benefited anyone. “The twins are here with us and we're expecting Felix and Demetri within the next couple of days. We'll all be here when you're ready to wake up." Aro leaned closer. "I know you will, my love. You will wake up. Do it even to spite Caius for being a pessimist." Aro smiled slightly. You had always enjoyed challenging Caius and in all honesty it was enjoyable to watch. "We will help you. Even after you wake up, you'll have us at your side. We'll get through this together."
Marcus gently cradled you hand between is own, lightly kissing the back of your hand. He stared at you, for the longest of time. He noticed the soft fall and rise of your chest but other than that, so still. Finally Marcus broke the silence. "I've been trying to think of what I could say to you. Aro is better than Caius and I at this. As you know." Marcus continued after a moment of thought. "Although Aro has his faults. We never told you it was Caius who was determined you'd stay with us. He took one look at you and that was it. You had his heart and he whether we agreed or not. You would be with us." Marcus wore a small smile. "He convinced me to put a little trust in you. He was right. You have given me so much joy and love in the time we've been together that, you asking to stay was a sacrifice I was willing to make. We were all willing to make. So I'd like to ask you to make a sacrifice for us, my beautiful (Y/N). I want you to wake up. I want you to claw your way back to us if you have to. Although I'm aware that given your condition you might not want to. That might be too much for you to face alone in your mind but I need you to know you're not alone. We're waiting for you, sweetheart." Marcus leaned towards your ear. "Make sure you come back to me, okay?"
One day the Volturi came back from their hunt to an absolute miracle. Carlisle was waiting for them when they arrived with a smile. "We have progress." The three could barely stop themselves from bombarding into your room. "They're out of the vegetative state." Carlisle explained. "Right now, as we speak, they are sitting up." Caius and Marcus inhaled sharply as Aro smiled. "I need to you to know that (Y/N) isn't awake. They can't see or hear us yet but their eyes will be open and they're beginning to register touch. Whilst they didn't respond to holding my hand, they did move away slightly because I'm colder and will move if in any discomfort. They won't talk yet either but regardless this is a very good sign."
The four entered the room to find you sitting up. You were hunching over slightly, your eyes drifting ever so slowly at times. As Carlisle had said, you weren't focused at all and didn't seem to notice that they were there. Your eyes and hands were a major give away. Your hands were limp whilst your eyes seemed a little glazed over. Carlisle moved to your side, taking the cup of water at your bedside before putting it to your lips. To the leaders surprise, you leaned into the cup and actually drank it's contents. Aro moved closer whilst Caius' and Marcus were so taken aback they were rendered speechless. "Did they sit up on their own?" Aro asked. "No, they're still healing. I was checking on them and I couldn't help but notice that their eyes were opening. Once their eyes were completely open. We gently helped them sit up. They've been sitting like this for forty-five minutes." Carlisle finished with a smile. "It's working?" Aro asked. "Interacting with them? Yes." Carlisle smiled. "However I do think I'll get them to lie back down now. Everyday, we'll get them to sit up for a short time." That being said, Carlisle lay you back down gently. Your eyes remained open, continuing to focus on nothing.
A day passed and whilst the leaders were spending time with you together, they noticed a small change. You were lying down, eyes open. Caius was mumbling into your ear, his head hovering inches over yours. His eyes narrowed on you when he noticed that your eyes drifted towards him but this time your eyes stayed drifting to the side he was on. You blinked, your eyes shifting back slightly up and down motions. "(Y/N)? Can you hear me?" Caius asked softly, getting Aro and Marcus' attention. Aro immediately got Carlisle who looked you over. He insisted that Caius continued speaking to you and didn't move as he did so. Carlisle and Caius both kept their gaze on your eyes, that still hadn't moved on from Caius' vicinity. "Judging by the eye movement, I appears to be (Y/N) is trying to focus on something which is a very good sign." Caius smiled down at you lovingly. "I'm here, sweetheart." His voice barely above a whisper.
The next sign came at random. The next day Marcus had your hand in his with a very light grip, his fingers barely curling around your hand. Whilst your hand occasionally twitched you didn't seem to really notice his hand, only the cold temperature. That was until your hand shifted again. This time you curled a finger slightly around his own. The movement had Marcus watching you intently but you made no other sign. You had the leaders on the edge of their seats every given moment. Yet you seemed to take your time, taking the moments they least expected to startle them. Although regardless, they would be patient. They'd wait forever if they had to.
It wasn't too long after that day that you shocked the leaders again. Caius and Aro had laid on either side of you. Marcus was beside your legs. Your head was tilted towards Caius as he ran a cold fingers up and down your hand as the three spoke to you. Once again your eyes shifted to Caius, who was significantly closer to your head than anyone else. Your eyes passed Caius as they had hundreds of times, trailing back and forth. Then they stopped, directly on Caius' face. Caius ran his thumb across your cheekbone before noticing your eyes hadn't moved. "(Y/N)?" He said gently, getting both leaders attention. All three stared at you for a moment before you took a deep breath, blinked and moved your head. However your eyes were different now. Their was cognition behind them. The leaders had seen you move before so they had to be sure. "(Y/N)?" Marcus said and your head turned to him. You had heard them. The three gasped, you were awake. "Hello, sweetheart." Aro smiled widely. "oh grazie ... grazie, tesoro." Caius sighed in relief, mumbling Italian under his breath. Marcus couldn't tear his eyes from you.
As Aro stood up to get Carlisle, Marcus took his place. He didn't even dare to blink. Your eyes followed him as he moved beside you. "Can you hear us?" You made a slightly nodding motion before reaching out slowly, cupping his cheek. Your brow began to furrow and the two grew increasingly worried.
In that moment, Carlisle entered the room along with Aro. "Well, well, look who's awake." Carlisle smiled warmly. "Hello, (Y/N)." Carlisle moved beside Marcus. "Can you hear me?" You tried your best to nod again, against the aches of protest in your back. "Good. I imagine you're very confused right now and you should know it's perfectly fine to feel that way. You may not remember but you were in a car accident and fell into a coma. You've been unconscious for many days now. You're injuries were severe but you are healing and I'll run some tests on you to see how you're doing. There's absolutely nothing to worry about. You may feel some slightly discomfort or pain, you're on very heavy pain killers. The best you can do it relax and rest." You looked down at your bruised body. Carlisle was right. There were aches and pains all over but a numbness too. The mixture made you aware that whilst you felt some pain, you weren't feeling even half of it. Carlisle continued but his voice was so low that only the leaders could hear him. "They'll likely feel irritability and confusion. Comfort them and try to be patient. It'll take some time for them to come to terms."
When Carlisle left, you were still looking down at your body, brow furrowing and tears welled up in your eyes. Marcus moved a hand to your face, getting your attention, your eyes met his before you swallowed hard, lip quivering slightly. Your sobs were silent but heavy at first, wracking your body. As your sobs continued they grew louder, the closest thing to your voice they had heard in days. "Oh tesoro." Aro said softly as Caius shifted further down the bed. Your sobs now jutting your shoulder into his chest but he didn't mind. Slowly and gently, he put his arm across your waist, the best he could do to hug your frail body. His head against yours with his eyes shut. Marcus took your other hand, pressing a kiss to it before leaning into it. They let you cry and you cried until you fell asleep.
When you woke up. Marcus and Aro were gone, leaving Caius and another two visitors. Felix and Demetri smiled at you. "You scared the hell out of us." Felix said to you. "My heart was nearly jumpstarted after centuries only to have a heart attack." It was rough but a hum of amusement escaped you. Felix was always able to make you laugh and now more than ever, Caius appreciated it. Caius smiled down at you, lightly tracing patterns against your hairline.
The visits were lovely distractions from the pain in your body, but you couldn't help but be more aware of it every passing day. The cycle of all it. You wake up, get more pain medication that led you to be as high as a kite and then the small moments of clarity clicked in when you realised, you weren't okay. You were bloodied and bruised, scarred from surgeries and your brain slow and fogged from being in a coma. You tried to be happy and swallow the pain and fear for your mates if not for yourself but the more coherent you became and the more you healed, the less medication you needed. Finally left with the simple knowledge that you weren't okay. You were so lost in thought that you didn't even notice your mates trying to get your attention. You looked over to the three, worry etched upon their faces. After a moment, you reached your arm out to Aro. He took your hand with ease, before he looked back to you. "Cara mia, we know. You can feel this way. We're here to help you no matter how you feel each day." Caius and Marcus looked to Aro for an explanation. "(Y/N) isn't feeling too well today. It's a bit much, they're a little overwhelmed but have been trying to put in a brave face." You knew Aro would give them more detail out of your ear shot and whilst grateful, even that made you want to cry. Caius immediately turned to you, his hand immediately reaching out for your arm. "Look at me." He said firmly but quietly. "We love you, no matter what. Having you here with us, alive is the greatest gift you could have ever given us. Don't you dare, hold back any emotion you are feeling for us or for anyone."
A few days later, Carlisle began his daily routine, checking in on you and your injuries. "Hello, (Y/N)." Carlisle smiled at you and you did your best to smile back. "How are you feeling today?" You held a hand out, palm down. "Somewhere in between? That's better than before." Carlisle smiled. "I'm going to ask you some simple questions, I know you can't talk yet, but don't worry you shouldn't have to with these. That will come soon." Carlisle assured you. "Remember, slow and gentle movements. I'll pick them up better than you think." You smiled slightly at the tease. "How old are you?" He asked. Without having to think about it, you held up the appropriate fingers. "Very good!" He praised with a smile. "Didn't even hesitate. How many movies did you watch last night?" You promptly held up two fingers. "Very nice. How many mates do you have?" You didn't seem to notice how intently the leaders stare was but it was more than likely you were used to that by now. You held up three fingers. "Alright and where are they?" Carlisle asked. You pointed to the three leaders. "Great. This is a very good sign. Your response times are very good." Your injuries had cleared much more, the bruising on your body no where near as bad as before. The swelling in your face barely noticeable as well as any cuts you had. You ribs where the biggest problem if anything. However you still hadn't said a word. That was Carlisle's next goal now that he knew your memory was in tact.
"Alright, you may not like me today." Carlisle warned you with a smile and you looked at him with confusion and dread, wondering what sort of test he'd out you through now. "This one will be a little more complicated but today, you're going to try and talk." Your eyes widened a fraction, dread completely over taking your confusion. "We'll start with names, specifically, the names of your mates." You scrunched up your face. They didn't have the easiest of names as it was. "I assure you, once you get used to talking, you won't have to think twice about it. We'll start easy. Try to say Aro's name." You took a breath, thinking hard before being unable to hold back a smile. Never had talking seemed to complicated? Like you had to think about using your mouth and creating the sounds you wanted. "Take your time and be patient with yourself. Let your brain wake up." The expression on your face said a thousand words. First, curse Carlisle. Secondly, this is embarrassing. Thirdly, if you mess up Aro's name you'll never forgive yourself. Lastly, you are so sorry if you mess up his name. Aro couldn't help the small chuckle escaping him, the other two smiling in amusement. "A...Aro." With so much concentration, you had shut your eyes, testing it out. Your voice was a little scratchy from not using it in a while but it was still clear. "There you go, one down. Can you try to say Caius?" "C..." You paused trying to think it through. "Cai...Caius." You finally forced out and Aro giggled with glee, Caius reaching out for your hand. "Alright, this is the more difficult one. It'll require a little more brain power. Marcus." You remembered the motion to make a 'M' sound. That being the difficult part of the name. It took a few more pauses but you slowly managed it out. "Well done." Carlisle smiled. "So since you didn't need promoting on how to say these things, I'm confident you could start talking just fine. Just remember to be patient with yourself."
Soon after showing the extend of your talking and cognitive abilities, Carlisle told you that it wouldn't be long before you got to go home. The leaders were delighted, more than eager to bring you to Italy and finally put this nightmare behind them. "How did you do it? How did you cope when I was out?" You asked, finally finding the courage to do so after all this time. Aro and Marcus looked at each other and to your surprise Caius responded. "We pretended you could hear us, that you were with us. I found it the most difficult."  "I don't think I could have done this without you." You admitted quietly. "You could have." Marcus replied. "It is us who couldn't have survived without your strength." "We wouldn't have it any other way." Caius added softly. "When you're better, we're bring you with us back to Italy." Aro smiled at you. "We almost had to live without you. Now we can't stand the thought of you being so far from us." Caius explained.

Hey! It’s Fox again! How are you doing? I just started school back up today, so I’ve been busy Xp.
Think you would be cool with writing some Pico with an s/o who is a writer, and tends to ask him about things like “hey, how long does it take someone to bleed out” or other things like that?
I understand if you don’t feel like it, and I hope you’re having fun 😊
🦊
Hello again Fox, I'm doing quite well rn. I'm cool with your prompt, especially since I need more writing material anyways.
Took me a while, because I didn't want to do a hc, but rather come up with a oneshot with a little twist to the style. Well, hope it works well.
Good luck with school, mate!
TW: Mentions of violence, swearing, slight sexual reference, and crime.
Pico with a writer S/O who asks him strange questions
Prologue:
On a chilly autumn morning, you were sitting out on your patio with a laptop and a mug of your favourite beverage next to you. Whenever you looked up, you could see the warm coloured leaves fall as the breeze accompanied you. The whole scene was an aesthetic.
When your boyfriend, Pico, came outside to see this, he knew that the nice environment you surrounded yourself with meant one thing. "You're back in your writing space already. Heh, with that bestseller you published, I thought you were comfy taking a break." You simply smiled and said, "can't waste the inspiration rush I got right now."
Pico had a good point though, with your rising popularity as an author, you were near set to retire before turning fourty. But you wish you weren't given all of the credit, since your boyfriend's stories of his dodgy job has occasionally sparked some ideas for your stories. However the books you wrote in the past were usually meant for the young adult and had few mature themes. This time, you thought maybe it's time to garner extra inspiration from those stories.
You were met with some disappointment when you realised that your mug was empty, only a drop entering your mouth. "Here, babe, I'll ya some more," Pico said, taking your mug and walking inside. "Quick question," you stopped him. "Yeah?"
"What would be the best place for a murder cemetery?"
"... What?"
Chapter 1:
"So you're doing some story about the police hunting down a mass murderer?"
"Pretty much."
"And to think you were gonna write Pixar's next script. Aight' I respect that." Pico takes a seat next to you with a refill of your drink placed next to your favourite writing laptop. "Thanks, Pico. But yeah, I want to branch out to something edgier, and I think you can help too."
"Let me show you what I've got so far." You showed him some of your notes in a little notepad document, detailing the story thus far and your current plans for this chapter. "Oh, that's it? Just looks like boring police preparation mainly," Pico commented. "Yeah, it's not much right now. But it'll get juicy later." "And bloody?" "And bloody."
"Welp, I'm gonna head back in," Pico got up, "let me know if you need anything." He head back inside, closing the door, but then opened it almost immediately afterwards. Pico stuck his head out, "by the way, the guy should use some strong alcohol or something to throw off those sniffer dogs."
Chapter 2:
"And then, because they used a silencer, the police don't immediately notice the--"
"Nope! I'm calling bullshit (Y/N)!" Pico had suddenly interrupted your explanation of the scene you were currently working on. "Silencers can help prevent some hearing loss, sure, but they're not magic."
"Alright," you reply, "no silencer, but the killer still has to kill in a way to not get blood on them, so I thought shooting and killing them from a distance would work." "Well, they're alone. Instead, have the guy get shanked in the neck or something, and have the killer use a plastic bag as a glove. It saved my ass one time."
"Woah!" you exclaimed with a giggle, "you used a knife once? What happened to my trigger happy boyfriend, huh? That's pretty sus."
"I forgot to reload the Uzis, alright?"
"What an impostor would say."
Chapter 3:
"What would be the best way to muffle the scream of someone you kidnapped?"
You two were sitting on the couch together watching a show. You didn't have your laptop on you, so Pico didn't expect you to still be thinking about that book. "I can't say from experience, really," he said as he paused the show. "However, shove a rag in their mouth and duct tape it in, and you should be good."
"Thanks Pico, also one more thing." "Yeah?" "What if our killer also wanted to..." God, this one was gonna be awkward, but you had to say it or else no help. "You know, cut off this victim's willy. How would you do that?"
"Wai-wha-uh-ga," Pico started fumbling his words like never before. He stopped, then took a deep breath. "YO, WHAT THE FUCK?!" "It'll make sense in the story later, I promise!" You watch Pico begin to lose it, breaking into laughter. "Ladies, gentlemen, and others," Pico dramatically stood up, pulling a little Showcaster impression and directing his arms towards you, "my famous 'young' adult novelist partner!"
Chapter 4:
It was in the dead of night, but you awoke to Pico on his phone. His vpn was on and Tor was up. As per usual, he was checking up on his little hitman service, where others could request for a certain someone's guts to fly if they paid him a hefty sum first. Though tired, you ound this to be the best time to ask him some more questions.
"Pico, how do those sites work?"
"Oh, you're awake," Pico blankly stated, sleepy too. But he still answered you. "Basically, some anonymous rich guys in the area give me money and a target, then I just do the thing and send a mission accomplished email." "Do they pay you in person?" "Nah, we use always use Bitcoin. It's a lot harder to trace than real money."
"Thanks Pico. Goodnight," you wish him, yawning and going back to sleep. "You too... So this guy is a hit man too?" "Hush. Tomorrow." "Okay." Pico puts his phone away, leaving it on a nightstand. You then spoon the night away, peacefully thinking of murder as you drifted off.
Chapter 5:
On a morning similar to before, you two sat on the patio with your drinks and laptop at the ready. Pico watched rather awkwardly as you typed away, wondering why you haven't entertained him with another question yet.
"You gonna ask anything else?" "What? Oh, nah," you plainly state. Inevitable, sure, but he was kind of saddened. He liked being able to share his messed up wisdom. "So, you're done?" "Almost." You turn to look at him, "want the spoilers?" Pico smiled, "sure thing."
In the novella you and Pico crafted together, the main character is a cop who hunts down a killer. They eventually notice that there would be two murders at a time for unknown reasons. Well, it was unknown until one victim had left up a dark web hit man for hire site. They that the hit man not only kills the target, but the client as a hidden price for the service.
And any request will be fulfilled, according to the hit man's site.
"Do they catch 'em?" Pico asked. "Well, ANY request is granted. So, if our hero were to... hire him to kill himself..."
"No way!"
"He did. They find both of their bodies in his bedroom."
Pico was a bit impressed with the ending you came up with, but then he remembered something. "Why did that guy get his thing cut off?" "Lol, I forgot," you giggled. "He sent a message to the hit man, saying he wishes the target would choke on his dick."
"That's my favourite part."
Epilogue:
After everything was finished up, you sent the book off to your editor. After the initial joy of knowing how the story ended, you saw that Pico was still in thought. "What's up with you?" "Oh nothing, well it's just... I'm probably just biased, being that I'm a bit of a hitman myself, but it's kind of sad to see the guy go."
"Then I should spoil the epilogue I came up with." Rather than being excited, Pico nervously asked, "what's an epilogue?" He didn't get an answer, only you staring at him. "Sorry, school held too many bad memories for me to pay attention."
"Anyways," you continue, "the rest of the police gang did some background checks, and find that our killer was a normal guy with no criminal history."
"Penilian?"
"No. But I did decide to take a more supernatural approach here. Somewhere across the country, another string of double homicides occur and that site is active once more. And the story kind of repeats itself."
"Penilian."
"You joker," you give him a playful little kiss on the cheek, one that definitely caught him off guard. "So is it canon?" Pico smirked. "Nah, just thanking you for being my cute little co-author." "Oh," Pico started, "so we're flirtin' now, huh. Come here babe!" He tackled you onto the ground, giving you several kisses in exchange.
"Actually, I think we call that 'making out'," you chuckle out, flustered. "But that doesn't mean I said stop'!" You pull him in for more, accidentally bonking your heads together rather painfully. "Nice double kill there, (Y/N)."

I have to find her soon…. (Y/N) where could you be?” He sniffed the air. “What's that wonderfully sweet aroma? It’s faint but it smells so good.”
Levi Ackerman thirty years old a very well known Alpha in search of his mate, but not any Omega it has to be her, the girl from his fantasies. The girl he has been with through every life time… (Y/N).
He rolled over and looked at his clock. “It’s only eleven pm?” He growled in frustration as he got up and got dressed. “I’m going to get a damn drink.” Levi headed out the door.
He made his way through the city, suddenly he smelled the same sweet aroma this time even stronger and before he knew it his feet were moving on their own in the direction of the sweet smell. His nose lead him to a bar. “The Moonlight Bar. Tch…. Sounds like a breeding ground for packs…. Not my kind of place.” He turned to leave.
“Levi!”
He whirled around. “Who’s there?” He called into the darkness but no one was around. He looked over to the bar entrance and saw a young female with long flowing (H/C) hair walk into the bar. He sniffed the air. “There's no doubt about it that intoxicating smell is coming from in there.” He rubbed his temples and sighed. “But why here? I remember hearing that this bar is for the black market of our kind and they auction off Omega's to pompous rich bastards that are too lazy to look for their own mates. I would never be caught dead in a place like this…. But against my better judgment….” He sighed again. “I’m going in.”
Hesitantly he walked up to the door and was instantly recognized by the bouncer.
“Ca- uh I-I mean Alpha Levi?” Said a young man with chestnut brown hair and green eyes.
“Tch…. Yes that’s me….” He replied.
The young man just looked at him dumbfounded.
“So are you going to let me in or am I not good enough?”
“S-sorry sir of course you can come in! I just never expected that you would show up here of all places.” Replied the young man as he opened the door for Levi.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Asked Levi.
“He doesn’t remember anything from our past lives? Odd.” The young man thought to himself.
“My name is Eren Jaeger.” He held out his hand to shake Levi's. “I’m a member of your pack actually that’s why I'm so surprised to see you here. You never struck me as the type who would want to buy themselves a wife.”
He shook Eren's hand and got a flashback of him riding on a horse. He was with a group of people, the only faces he could make out were Eren's and now he could finally see the face of his beloved (Y/N).
“Eren I know you from my past life?”
“Yes we served together in the Scouts. It’s good to see you it’s been too long. Come inside there’s a bunch of your friends in here we all work here.” Eren turned to his coworker. “I'll send you out back up ok?”
They went inside the bar, the sweet smell was now overwhelming his senses.
“Hey Eren do you smell that extremely sweet smell?” Levi asked him.
Eren sniffed the air. “No I don’t smell anything. Maybe one of the females is going through her heat cycle right now.” Eren's eyes grew wide.
“What?”
“When an Alpha smells that sweet aroma that means his mate is close! Only Alpha's can smell Omega's heat cycles remember?”
“That's why I’ve been brought here then and I'm guessing because I know you, you know who my mate is.”
“Right you are Levi! And good news she works here with us but isn’t part of our pack, she’s been waiting for you for a long time Levi.”
“Well what are you waiting for? Bring me to her you brat.”
Eren chuckled. “Still the same Levi with your sharp tongue. Okay follow me.” Eren brought Levi to the bar. “Here have a seat I’ll go get her.”
Levi sat down as Eren disappeared through the door to the kitchen.
“Hey Hanji where's (Y/N)? Levi is here for her.”
“She went to the bathroom the poor girl is in heat this one is really bad. She’s going crazy…. Babbling on about some irresistible musky smell. I'm worried about her with all the Alpha's around here.”
“And you let her go to the bathroom by herself!?”
Levi glanced over and saw you go into the bathroom, seconds after you went in a male followed you in. “Tch…. Like hell I’ll let that happen!”
You stumbled into the bathroom dizzy you couldn’t think straight as you collapsed on the sink. “W-what the hell is going on with me? I'm so out of it.” You tried to pull yourself up. “That smell…. That wonderful musky smell its overwhelming….”
“You know girl you really shouldn’t be here when you’re in heat like this.” Said a man from behind you he pushed up against you grabbing at your clothes. “Someone might get the wrong idea Omega…”
“What are you doing to me get off!” You wined out.
“You reek of pheromones you’re just begging to be wrecked by an Alpha!”
“Yea too bad it’s not you!” Shouted Levi as he pulled the Alpha off of you.
“L-Levi!?”
Levi punched the Alpha out with one hit.
Instantly your animal instincts took over and you pounced on Levi tearing at his clothes as you locked lips with him. He broke the kiss. “Seriously (Y/N) here in the bathroom that’s disgusting.”
“Levi!” You squeaked out as you grabbed his hand shoving it between your legs so he could feel how wet you were. “I honestly can’t help it my-my body is moving on its own. Please h-help relieve me, I've been waiting so long for you my love…. I've endured many lonely painful heat cycles without you…. I'm begging you.” You locked the bathroom door and pulled Levi's pants down taking his member in your mouth.
“Ung.” Grunted Levi his animal instincts getting the better of him. “O-okay (Y/N) quickly then I am taking you back to my apartment.” He pulled you off his member and pushed you up against the wall without a second thought you wrapped your legs around his waist. He moved your panties to the side and slipped in instantly giving you relief.
“Oooooooh L-Leviiiiiii!” You howled out as he went deep inside you.
He held your hips and thrusted deeper into you making you soak the floor.
You grabbed his head and attacked his lips kissing him passionately as you moaned into his mouth while he pounded into you.
Suddenly he stopped. “No we can’t do this here (Y/N)…. Our first time can’t be in the bathroom. You've heard how it gets the first time an Alpha and Omega mate.” He pulled himself together along with you.
“Levi!” You wined out as you tugged at his shirt.
“Behave brat.” He said as he carried you out of the bathroom. “If I have to keep my composure so do you.” He let you down instantly you clung to him.
All eyes were on the two of you as you made your way out of the bar another Alpha twice the size of Levi was stupid enough to try and come between you and him.
“Hey beautiful.” He reached out his hand to you. “Why don’t you leave this scrawny bastard and get with a real Alpha!” He boasted.
You growled as the Alpha tried to touch you, Levi broke his hand.
“How dare you try and lay your filthy paws on my Mate!” He snarled as he broke his other hand. “Let this be a lesson to anyone who underestimates me!” He kicked the Alpha breaking his ribs.
Levi ran out the door carrying you, with each second passing it was getting harder and harder to control himself. He groaned out in discomfort as he felt his member become unbearably painful. Your pheromones were driving him up the wall as your sweet secretions leaked all over his arm and pants. He started to run faster through the city and before you knew it he was busting down his door tearing your clothes off.
He threw you onto the bed and attacked your soaking core like a feral animal, lapping up the sweet juices dripping out of you. He growled as he dove deeper into you nibbling your clit.
“Ah-ahhhh L-Leviiiiii!” You cried out in pleasure as he bit your inner thighs marking you.
“At long last, you’re finally mine (Y/N).” He kissed your abdomen before diving back in attacking your clit once more instantly making you squirt.
Wildly you thrashed at every little touch as he ate you out. “L-Le-Leviiiii!” You howled out as he slowly dragged his tongue along your clit.
With every passing minute, Levi's animal instincts were becoming harder and harder to suppress. “F-fuck (Y/N) I can’t take it your sweet smell is driving me crazy.” He came up from between your legs and walked over to his closet. “Time for some real entertainment.” He came back over to you with a collar, chains and a paddle.
You looked at him all excited. “Oooooooh this is going to be fun!” You giggled.
Levi grabbed you and put the collar on your neck. He yanked on the leash hard pulling you over to him. He turned you around and pushed you onto the bed ass straight up in the air your sweet secretions dripping out of you. Levi took the chains bounded your hands and feet. With one final tug he spread your legs wide open putting you on display for him to marvel at. “That’s a good girl so willing and ready for her Alpha.” He wrapped his muscular arm around your stomach forcing you down the air got thick all of a sudden, as you gasped in surprise. “I’m going to take you now.” He whispered into your ear, you felt the knot in your stomach get tighter as your heart tried to beat out of your chest.
For so long you’ve waited for this day, for so long your body has been begging for its mate. You gasped in surprise as Levi rammed his cock inside you while he bit down on your neck hard marking you again. He yanked on the leash choking you as he pounded into you. You arched your back howling out in pleasure as Levi clawed at your stomach going deeper and deeper with every thrust. “Ohhhhh my God Levi!” You moaned out as he slapped your ass with the paddle.
“That’s a good girl fuck (Y/N) you feel so good on him!” Levi howled as he grabbed your hips pounding deeper and deeper.
“Oh, oh, Ohhhhhh Levi fuck that feels amazing, Ohhhhh yes just like that!” You moaned out as he rammed deeper into you. You felt the knot in your stomach tense up as you became wetter with every thrust, your knees started to shake. “Fuck L-Le-Leviiiii I'm, I’m, I’m gonna c-cu-cummmmmmm!” You howled out Levi pounded into you even deeper as your toes curled, back arching, body trembling Levi earned your first orgasm.
Levi pulled out and undid all the chains so he could lay you down on the bed. He spread your legs going back down on you licking up your sweet juices as he inserted a couple fingers.
You moaned out as you grabbed small fist fulls of Levi's soft raven hair gently tugging it as he nipped at your clit making you squirt. You slowly moved your hips as Levi's fingers moved faster in and out of you.
He pressed his tongue to your clit and swirled it around, Levi felt your body tense up as your walls clenched around his fingers feeling your juices leak out of you as he got another orgasm from you. “That’s a good girl cum for me!” He pulled his fingers out and licked up the juices. He positioned himself between your legs.
You looked up at Levi. “I want to be on top…. If that’s okay with you Levi?”
“Of course it is (Y/N).” Levi laid down and you mounted him slowly sliding down on his throbbing cock making him moan. “Fuck (Y/N).” Levi grabbed your ass spreading your cheeks as he pounded into you.
You wildly rode Levi's cock feeling the growing knot at the base of his shaft, your core was throbbing as you felt yourself preparing to take his knot. Your body started to tremble as Levi's knot became bigger and bigger with every thrust. “F-fuck Levi I'm ready! My body is begging for you to shove your knot inside me! Give me your children Levi!” You howled out as you leaned down and bit his chest marking him.
Levi obeyed without hesitation and rammed his knot inside you, your walls clenching down on it as he released his seed.
You collapsed on his chest. “That was amazing my love.” You tenderly kissed him on the lips.
Levi removed the collar as he kissed you back. “Yes it was (Y/N I love you so much.” Levi moved his head towards your neck licking it until you fell asleep on top of him. He grabbed the blankets wrapping you and him up in them. He held you close still connected to you as he drifted off to sleep.

Tumblr media
“Hey this is kuroo tetsurou, i’m currently busy right now, just leave a message after the beep.”
“Hey it’s me…”  you paused,  “How are you? I haven’t heard from you in a while. Uh- Kenma visited me yesterday, he told me that you secured a new deal. I-I just wanted to congratulate you...and-well, i miss you. Call me when you’re not busy, alright? I-I love you.”
The apartment turns silent after you end the call, your head throbbing at the thought of your third unanswered voicemail. Were you being overbearing? Would he find you annoying? You shut your eyes tight, all this overthinking at this time of the day.
Maybe it would’ve been better to just pass the message on to Kenma.
You let out a loud groan as you dropped yourself on the bed.
Man, when people told you that long distance relationships would be hard, you laughed it off, saying that you and tetsu wouldn’t feel that way. You were both open and too much in love, trivial things like time zones and miles away wouldn’t break you two apart.
Yet right now, you weren’t so confident to say that out loud. It was easier at first, following a scheduled facetime at least twice a week at most and a short call when you both had time everyday. As months pass though, the little schedule you promised to keep up was dwindling.
When he called, you were busy or you were dead tired from work. When you called, he was either asleep too or busy scouting some people on volleyball leagues. The face times would just turn to very short conversations or a curt message.
Now this happened, its been a week since you haven’t heard from him and it was Kenma who had told you about his little victory at work.
What happened to weekly updates?
Were you just overthinking?
You furrowed your brows together as you turned to the abandoned cellular phone next to you, maybe this was nothing. Maybe he was just tired or maybe he was worried he’d disturb your sleeping time (he feels awfully bad when he does that), maybe he just told Kenma to tell you since he wasn’t good at figuring out the timezone things (after all, Kenma barely slept so he’d definitely be a good messenger)
Yeah, maybe that was the case.
Things returned to normal after that one week of no replies and it bothered you even more, why couldn’t he apologize? Did he not see the voicemails you sent? Did he not notice the nervousness in your tone when you sent that last message?
You feel your stomach clench as if you’re on a high up roller coaster about to go down.
God, why were you even overthinking? You sound like one of those girls that Kuroo and you would make fun of back then in high school.
A small ding resonates in the quiet apartment and you see a text from the man himself,
From: Tetsu Time: 09:00 pm Can’t facetime tonight :( Work has me by the neck.
To: Tetsu Time: 09:01 It’s fine :D Take care of yourself and just text me when you’re done. I love you.
You shut your phone off and ran your hands through your dry hair, moments later, you realize he doesn’t reply and the feeling of uneasiness does not waver.
It just worsens.
“Y/N, you alright there?” Kenma asks, it’s sunny today and you manage to drag Kenma out of his not-so little hideout. The man needed some sun, he was getting extra pale these days but these days, it seemed like it was actually you that needed this break.
You immediately snapped out of your thoughts when you hear the low voice of your friend, “Yeah,” You laugh, scratching your neck, “Just peachy.”
Kenma Kozume was many things, observant is one of them. It was easy to notice how distressed you looked yet he didn’t know exactly why. Was it work? Did you and Kuroo fought? Weird, his friend hadn’t said anything and he seemed pretty happy when he called to check up on him this morning at three am.
“Is something going on at work, Y/N?”
“Yeah,” you try to mask your overthinking by something else, knowing Kenma he’d voice out your worries to Kuroo and right now that was the least thing you wanted, “Something at work.”
“Don’t overthink about it Y/N. I’m sure you’re doing a great job.”
‘Yeah.’ you thought bitterly, ‘Don’t overthink about it.’
The low sound of your laptop ringing resonates throughout the room as you do your own nails, you immediately shoot-up to see Kuroo’s name on the screen, you dive on the front of your laptop and click answer, his face immediately occupying the screen, “Kitten!” he exclaims.
Your worries are gone as soon as you hear that voice, yes, this was fine. He was alright. You were both alright.
“H-hey, baby.” You try to control your voice.
“You alright there?” his brows furrowed, “Am I disturbing your sleep again-”
“No!” You suddenly cry out, “N-No, it’s just...I haven’t seen you in so long, I guess.”
Kuroo’s gaze immediately softens, “Oh, Y/N...Baby, I’m so sorry…”
God, you wanted to touch him so bad. You want to lay next to him and wake up to his face like before, you wanted to be selfish right now and just cry and beg him to come home.
“No, It’s fine.” You suck it up, “It’s probably just the late night dramas I’ve been watching that’s got me missing you.”
His deep chuckle resonates in your quiet room and you start to feel alright until you hear someone call his name, “Oh shit.” He cursed, “I have to get back, Baby. Boss wants me, again.”
Your expression shifts to an uncharacteristic frown, “Right, bye. I-I love you.”
“I love you too, Y/N.”
The screen turns black once again and the bile on your throat begins to rise, the feeling of dread turning worse.
Who were you kidding, long distance relationships were shit.
You were feeling like shit.
You stare at the fish fillet in front of you, it's midday and your day off from work. If it were your usual day, you’d facetime your boyfriend while doing some paperwork but after that brief videocall. You became more withdrawn, your texts would become curt and you didn’t bother leaving messages on his voicemail anymore.
You didn’t have facetimes anymore too.
Yet you keep your phone next to you, hoping he’d still call and when he does, your can’t help it but your replies are starting to get dry. Sometimes forced even yet Kuroo doesn’t notice, he never does.
So when he finally calls again that time at lunch and is once again cut off by his workmates, you finally snap, “...Why are we still doing this?” your voice was rough and dry.
Kuroo is silent on the other line, the only thing that could be heard was his office mate calling him.
“Kitten, what do you mean? Are you okay?”
“Forget it.Just go.”
“Y/N?” His tone was serious now, all playfulness void, “I thought we were doing fine-”
“Thought.” You shakily cut him off, “You thought.”
“Y/N, you seriously -   look-   I don’t have time for this.”
That was the final straw, your tipping point. Those words were your Achilles heel.
“Then we should just break up, right?”
The only thing that could be heard was the silence on his side and your fast heartbeat. Guess you got your answer and as much as you hated it, you could only handle so much.
“Hey this is Y/N, I’m out now and kinda busy so just leave a message after a beep, yeah?”
“It’s me.” Kuroo’s voice echoes through the walls, “Y/N baby, please pick up the phone. I’m sorry. You know I didn’t mean it that way. I was an ass. I should’ve kept our promise. Please call me when you get this”
A loud beep echoes throughout the room after his message is cut.
“It’s me again. I miss you and I’m sorry. I really am, I miss you so bad. Can we facetime? Same time as usual, I promise I won’t let work get in the way again. Please call me back when you receive this.”
A loud beep once again echoes through the quiet walls of your room.
“Y-Y/N.” Kuroo stammers,  “sweetheart, I-I asked Kenma to check on you. He brought a meal and well I know its a far fix from what I did but just eat well, yeah? He says you haven’t been looking well and I worry. I love you always, y-you know that right?”
Before the next message could play, you grab your phone and shut it off. A soft sigh escaping your lips. It had been two weeks since that breakup. You wouldn’t say you were doing well yet you wouldn’t say that the burden was lifted either.
You were just so confused at the moment, so withdrawn. The world seemingly void of color without your lover truly next to you anymore.
You slowly snuggle on his side of the bed, shutting your eyes. You might as well start moving your things when you wake up tomorrow, no sense in staying at your shared apartment.
You’re awoken by a familiar warmth caressing your hair. You flutter your eyes open, trying to adjust your vision to the room's dim light, the familiar figure of the man you missed and dearly loved sitting across you in a suit. His bags are thick as if he hadn’t slept in a while and his hair’s unkempt more than usual.
“I’m sorry.” the first thing he says. It's soft and warm like his touches, “I’m so sorry, Y/N.”
“Y-You..” It slowly dawns upon you that this isn’t a dream, that he’s right here, “You’re here.”
“Sorry it took so long, Y/N.” He apologies once again, dipping his head down to give you a soft kiss on your forehead. You sit up and suddenly all the tears burst out as you throw yourself to him in a hug, “I was too busy getting my work done so I could be assigned in this division earlier I hadn’t-”
“You’re home.” You cry, cutting off his explanation, it didn’t matter anymore. He was home and he was going to stay, “You’re finally home.”
“Yeah.” He whispers, “I’m here. I’m home.”

Can you please give me your opinion on this podcast that Sarah went to? 447. Hanging Out with Sarah J. Maas at the 31:40 minute she says something about what she doesn't like to write and it gave me a little bit of fear about elucien if it's really going to happen
https://smartbitchestrashybooks.com/podcast/447-hanging-out-with-sarah-j-maas/
hey, sorry it took me a while to reply to this!
I think you misunderstood what sarah was talking about though, here is some of the transcript:
It’s, you know, stories, like, mostly about women, written by women, and every time I read a book like, like a romance novel, it just leaves — like, the Happily Ever After, like, never gets old for me? […]
And I’ve realized that, like, I don’t give a fuck if, like, people beyond the community think romance, like, you know, isn’t real literature, or like that — like, it is, first of all […]
like, somehow in order for a story to be, like, worthy, according to some, like, you know, gatekeepers and tastemakers, it has to be sad and miserable at the end, and, like, you know, the couple can’t be together and, like, I do appreciate those stories every now and then, but I personally don’t like rereading stories where everyone’s dead […] at the ending or, like, you know, the couple I’ve been rooting for for ten books isn’t together? Like, I just that’s not my cup of tea, and I just, I keep returning to these romance books, like, again and again. Like, I think I’ve read The Hating Game like, you know, ten times now just because I — there’s something about the reassurance of, like, it’s all going to be okay […]
so to sum it up: sarah loves happy endings, she doesn’t like books too much where characters die at the end or when the couple she’s been rooting for for several books doesn’t end up together. I would say this podcast might even confirm elucien further. lucien and elain found out they were mates in acomaf, the second book in the series. now we’ve had a lot of longing on lucien’s side and passivity, reluctance on elain’s side. we’re now on book five (counting the novella) and lucien is still staring at elain with longing showing on his face. we know elain doesn’t look like she fits at the night court but nobody is questioning it — and we still don’t know her thoughts. based on what sarah said in the podcast, I think she wouldn’t be so cruel to make lucien pine after elain for the whole series just to not make them end up together? and elain needs somebody to rely on and somebody who challenges her and can show her a wholly different life.
sarah also said lucien is one of her favourites, so if elucien would not be endgame, she would have already started setting up a different plot for them. instead, they’re still kind of at the same point they were 2 books ago, which leads me to believe we’re only waiting to get to their povs so that their issues can be resolved.

I had a Elorcan story that I was really excited about but I've been too busy to actually write it so here, have the outline I created instead. It's a bit choppy, I had the fine details in my head and the outline was just to contain the general points.
The Dead Gods' Blessing (an Elorcan story)
Chapter 1
• Elide/Lorcan wake up, blissfully
• Elide reminds Lorcan that Aelin/Rowan/Fenrys/Vaughn (the gang) are visiting, he is not happy
• Lorcan makes Elide breakfast while she is bathing as a surprise
• They talk about the baby and baby names
• ~ They meet the gang outside the front door because Elide is so excited
• Lorcan's fae-male-protective-bullshit comes out
• Fenrys smirks, Rowan looks a little sad
• Elide reveals the plan for a picnic
• ~They go down to a creek nearby with a nice view
• Elide has to go to the bathroom since the baby is pushing on her bladder
• Chapter ends with Elide screaming
Chapter 2
• Lorcan and the gang runs after Elide
• They don't see her but Vaughn finds blood
• Lorcan freaks out
• Suddenly they see something move and run after it
• A creature has Elide
• They chase it down to a cliff
• The creature scrambles to stop but ultimately falls off
• Lorcan screams and tries to follow
• The Cadre holds him back
• Aelin looks down at the cliff and spots the monster impaled by the rocks, notices a human hand underneath
• Lorcan manages to get away and crawls to the edge, seeing the same as Aelin
• He screams and cries
• The rocks give way and it falls into the water
• Rowan tries to comfort him but fails as Lorcan's grief is so overwhelming that he loses control of his powers
• Aelin tries to use the bond to make Lorcan stop but is interrupted by a whisp of darkness (Lorcan's power)
• Rowan, Aelin, and Vaughn join forces to create a shield around Lorcan
• *Fenrys pov
• It last a long time unless Lorcan passes out
Chapter 3
• Lorcan wakes up in his bed
• He feels heavy and looks over for Elide
• She's not there and he remembers what happened
• He doesn't want to believe it, refuses to and starts to lose control again
• Someone comes in and injects him with something, and all of a sudden he passes out again
• ~ He wakes up again to find Rowan besides him, with red trimmed eyes and looking like a mess
• Lorcan begs "Please... Please tell me it wasn't real, I can't-"
• Rowan reaches over and grasp his shoulder, sad for his brother and says "I'm sorry"
• Lorcan continues to cry and Rowan stays with him
• Lorcan asks "How did you do this? How did you go on, please tell me how"
• Rowan replies "I didn't. I can't ever forget what happened. I spent some time in disbelief. There was a moment where I knew it was the end and I couldn't handle that. I was so close... But then someone showed up at my door. Nearly broke my door, as I recall. He told me that it's gonna hurt but I need to keep going and fight. It's what she would want. You saved me, Lorcan"
• Lorcan says "I was wrong. I did not understand what it was to be in your place. The pain, the loss, it... you lose yourself"
• Rowan says "No, you were right. Because everyday it became a little easier to breathe to the point where I found myself again. In Aelin. I am eternally grateful for your appearance because I got to meet Aelin, my real mate"
• Lorcan screams "there is no one else! There will never be anyone else! Elide is it for me, she will always be the only one. I can't do this, Rowan... it feels like all the air has been taken from me and I can't catch a breath. Elide was all that was good of me. I'm barely alive without her. And barely alive is just suffocating..."
• Rowan looks sad
• Lorcan "And I was going to be a father"
Chapter 4
• Rowan walks in to see Lorcan still in bed (he smells)
• Rowan says he need to get out of bed, he has a city to run

• Lorcan says he doesn't need a babysitter but gets up anyways
• He goes to take a shower and comes out to open curtains and windows, a made bed, and his clothes laid out
• He knows it was Rowan and rolls his eyes
• He gets changed and looks in the mirror, catching a glance at his ring
• He starts hurting again, but decides to go on "for you, my loves. For both of you..."
• *Rowan's pov*
• Rowan is sad for his brother but is proud of him for making that big step
• He called for a town meeting in the castle's front grounds and is watching as Lorcan steps forward on the balcony
• Lorcan announces that Elide is dead and that he will continue to build Perranth if they will have him
• The town bows, as a sign of acceptance and for Elide
• Rowan knows it's going to be hard being away from Aelin for a while but Fenrys and Vaughn are there, and his brother needs him
Chapter 5
• It is 2 and a half months later
• *Fenrys pov*
• Aelin, Fenrys and Vaughn visit again
• Fenrys and Vaughn walk in first because Aelin got distracted by some cake
• They ask Rowan how Lorcan is, he says that he has his moments but he's been strong for Perranth
• Aelin walks in and there's an explosive reunion between the two so they go off, presumably to a bedroom
• Fenrys and Vaughn walk to the library to find Lorcan there
• They try to talk but Lorcan doesn't want to talk about it
• He instead asks why they're there
• Fenrys responds that they wanted to see their brother
• Lorcan asks for the truth
• Fenrys reveals that they have a mission and that they can't protect Aelin while on the mission so she's staying in Perranth for a while
• Lorcan isn't happy
• ~ Rowan is happy to have Aelin back
• They stumble out of a closet
• Fenrys and Vaughn are distraught as they see this
• They say they're leaving
• Rowan and Aelin wish them luck
Chapter 6
• Fenrys and Vaughn are riding through the mountains

• Fenrys responds that he's breathing but only to run Perranth, for her
• Elide is sad
• Fenrys asks how she got there
• Elide says that after the creature dropped her and she passed out when she hit her head, she was found by some travelers. They took her to their home in the mountains and cared for her. They were behind on some debts and were taken, the people assumed Elide was one of them and took her as well, next thing she knows she is in this dark room alone
• Fenrys asks if she's ready to go home
• Elide is nearly crying, nodding
• He goes to check the hallways and when he turns back, Elide is wrapping a scrap piece of fabric around one shoulder, it slinging around her small frame
• Fenrys finds it weird but shrugs it off
• Then Elide is bending behind the bed and picking something up, putting it into the fabric so that it is held up
• Elide walks over to Fenrys, ready to go
• His breath catches as he sees that it's a baby
• "His name is Ragnar"
Chapter 8
• Fenrys is speechless, struck dumb at the realization that he didn't even consider the survival of the child. The first thing that comes to his mind is "its a boy?"
• Elide chuckles softly and responds with yes
• Fenrys is reminded of the situation and checks the hallway before pulling Elide behind him
• They manage to get out safely and go back to the horses
• They realize they have to wait for Vaughn
• Elide figures they have some time to kill and looks down fondly at Ragnar and says "do you want to meet your uncle fenrys?"
• Fenrys is near tears when he hears her
• Elide asks "do you want to hold him"
• Fenrys is hesitant but Elide assures him that it will be fine, he won't bite
• Fenrys is amazed at how light and small he is. Also how beautiful. He definitely looks like Lorcan.
• Elide ask for water, Fenrys says that its in the pack around the horse
• Vaughn comes back and stops when he sees Fenrys and the baby
• ".... did you steal a baby?"
• Fenrys looks up and smiles
• Vaughn is confused but then he sees Elide coming around the horse
• He is in disbelief, and his confusion of the baby is resolved when Fenrys hands him back to Elide
• Fenrys says he'll explain later, they have to get them home
Chapter 9
• *Elide's pov*
• Long ride, thinking of her time and much she misses Lorcan
• Vaughn was able to go a little faster as Fenrys did not want to harm Ragnar, only a mile ahead or so
• Because of that, when Fenrys and Elide arrived, Vaughn was already searching for Lorcan in the castle
• Elide hands Ragnar to Fenrys and slides down the horse
• Aelin and Rowan were in the nearby garden so they came out at all the commotion
• Aelin cries when she sees Elide and runs to hold her
• They are both crying
• Elide looks over and sees Rowan then goes to hug him
• She pulls back, looks at them both and says "would you like to meet your nephew?"
• Aelin gasps as Fenrys steps forward with Ragnar
• Fenrys looks at Elide and she nods
• Rowan has tears in his eyes as Fenrys hands Ragnar to him
• The front door burst open and suddenly Lorcan is there, panting
• Elide sobs as she sees him and start making her way toward him
• Lorcan runs to her and they meet halfway
• Lorcan picks her up and holds her, small kisses in between words
• Lorcan "Elide, Elide"
• Elide "I've missed you so much"
• Lorcan "It's really you"
• Elide "Yes, yes, it's me"
• Lorcan "I love you so fucking much, you are never allowed to leave my sight, ever"
• They share a big kiss and both have tears running down their faces
• Lorcan "I was so lost without you"
• Elide "You seem to have found your way just fine"
• Lorcan "No... I kept going, for Perranth, for you... but I broke down everyday"
• Elide is speechless, "Lorcan..."
• Lorcan "Now that you're here, I can finally breathe again"
• Another kiss
• Lorcan rests with his eyes closed, breathing in her scent
• Elide "Do you want to see your son?"
• Lorcan's breath catches as his eyes shoot open. He takes a few stuttering breaths before asking "I have a son?"
• He looks over at Rowan who is now standing a few feet away
• Rowan is smiling down at the babe
• Elide walks over and takes Ragnar from Rowan, then walks back to Lorcan
• Lorcan is barely breathing at this point
• Elide places Ragnar into Lorcan's arms
• Lorcan "My son"
• Elide steps closer and says "I've named him Ragnar"
• L "My Ragnar"
• Ragnar opens his eyes at Lorcan

• Elide "you need to get some sleep"
• Lorcan "I can't"
• There's a look
• Lorcan "I've had many dreams like this, where you come back and we have our child and we are finally a family... but then I wake up. And it kills me every time"
• Elide reaches over to rest her hand above his, which is resting lightly on Ragnar's stomach "this is real, my love"
• Lorcan looks at Ragnar and decides that it is real, because even his dreams could not picture his son being so beautiful
• He is reminded of how he felt when she told him he was pregnant, and how his fears ranged throughout her pregnancy
• Then he remembers that she went through childbirth alone and is heartbroken and angry
• Lorcan "I am so sorry"
• Elide "For what?"
• Lorcan "You brought our son into this world by yourself"
• Elide has a moment and then says "It was hard. But I kept hearing your voice, telling me to stay strong so that we could- so that we could be a family. In a way, you were there"
• Lorcan grabs her hand and kisses it as not to disturb Ragnar
• Elide whispers "I love you" before drifting off to sleep
• Lorcan kisses Ragnar's head and strokes Elide's hand as he says "I love you too"
• He falls asleep
• ~ Lorcan wakes up to find Elide and Ragnar gone and starts freaking out, thinking it truly was a dream again
• Then Elide walks out of the bathroom, holding Ragnar to her chest
• He sighs in relief
• Elide says to Ragnar "Look who's awake"
• Elide settles into bed next to Lorcan
• Lorcan kisses Elide deeply, the fear that had pulsed through his body still causing him to think irrationally
• Lorcan "it wasn't a dream"
• Elide "I told you"
• Lorcan smiles and looks down at Ragnar "and how's my boy?"
• Ragnar is looking around the room and his eyes rest on Lorcan, then his arms reach out towards him
• Elide "I think he wants his papa"
• Lorcan takes Ragnar from Elide as she say that she's going to take a bath
• Elide "Tonight, Aelin and Rowan are going to watch Ragnar"
• Lorcan "What? Why?" He just got his son, and he wants to spend time with him
• Elide "Because we have a lot of catching up to do" she winks and pulls her nightgown off before walking into the bathroom
• Lorcan is left staring after her, thanking the universe, the dead gods, whatever the hell is out there for this moment, for his family

PAIRING: James Potter x Black!Reader REQUEST:  James Potter falling in love with Sirius Black's younger sister whose in Slytherin house? She could be in-between Sirius and Regulus or younger than the both of them. - @victoriawayne-todd WARNINGS: Mild language, bit sexually suggestive A/N: I’m just going through the requests now omg I’m sorry it took so long!
When James Potter fell in love with Lily- well, more of when he found himself deeply infatuated with her, it had been quick, like a sudden snap of a finger. He saw her at the Great Hall then, at aged 11, and he had never seen anyone as beautiful as her in his life. But that’s as far as it goes, he realizes now that he’s 16, his admiration for her stops at her physicalities, Sure, she’s got on hell of a personality as well, but they just don’t click the way he wanted to.
When he fell in love with (y/n) Black, however, he had managed to feel everything in slow motion. You see, while Lily’s was a snap of a finger, with (y/n) it was the slow flickering of a flame back to life- the drizzle of rain before the actual storm.
It started off simple really, how James just ends up noticing small things about her like the way her bottom lip would stick out in a pout when she’s deep in thought, or how her tongue would show when she grins. They were just adorable quirks then, something James would notice out of the blue.
In the middle of that year was when he started feeling things, the rush in his system when her hand would brush his, the butterflies in his stomach when they’d meet each others eyes and she’d give him that lopsided grin, the breathlessness he’d feel whenever she’d wrap her arms around him. It was getting worse for James, his feelings were overwhelming.
It didn’t help when she spent the summer with some of her friends, because as much as James wanted a break from his feelings, he found himself missing her.
So in his seventh year, when they finally meet again in Platform Nine 9 3/4 for James final year and (y/n)’s sixth, he couldn’t help but pull her into the tightest hug that he can, taking her scent in, and not missing the way her fingers twirled the hair in the nape of his neck, sending goosebumps down his arms. It was quite embarrassing when she noticed it, smiling up at him as she reached over to rub his arms to calm it, which only made it worse because now the soft palm of her hands were rubbing against her skin.
“You alright, Prongs?” Sirius had asked once they settled into a compartment. (y/n) had left moments ago to join her friends, promising them she’d join them in the Great Hall for the feast.
“I’m alright” James replied. But he was far from it, especially since the thought of his best friend’s younger sister wouldn’t leave his mind.
James had been made Head Boy that year, working alongside Lily Evans, the Head Girl. Younger him would’ve been ecstatic at the thought of spending more time with her, but now? not really. (y/n) had been made the sixth year Slytherin Prefect as well, Sirius told him, after the student who assumed the role dropped out of Hogwarts this year.
James thought as Head Boy she’d be the one approaching him for the assignation of duties or maybe to ask for some advice, but she usually came to Remus, which made James feel... weird.
They were in the courtyard one Saturday afternoon when she came bounding down towards them with a big smile on her face. James found himself staring at her as she propped herself onto the space between Remus and Sirius, stretching her legs outward, mimicking their positions.
“Hey Rem, can we do rounds together tonight? I wanna show you something in the seventh floor hallway I think you’d like” She said as she swung her legs over Remus’s lap, a habit of hers she only does to people she’d comfortable with.
“I’m afraid I’m not the one assigned to make that decision, love” Remus replied, James watching the way the mousy haired boy’s hand patted her knee as she chuckled. His eyes snapped up in surprise when Remus’ finger directed up towards him, pointing, “How about you ask James?”
(y/n)’s head turned towards him, the grin still prominent on her face, “James?”
“Well...” James started off teasingly, wanting to see her reaction. “I don’t think that’s a good idea...” He tapped a finger to his chin.
“C’mon James!” She was quick to her feet, tackling him onto the ground earning a loud mix of a groan and a laugh from the bespectacled boy as his back hit the . She was on his stomach now, straddling him as she let out a loud laugh. James was praying she wouldn’t notice how rapidly his heart was beating against his chest (and the thing going on... down there) - a dead giveaway of his feelings for her.
With one last laugh, she got off of him, proceeding to widen her grey eyes towards him in a pleading look while her bottom lip jutted out in a pout. She looked far too gorgeous that James would give anything in the world even if she wouldn’t say it, and so without much thought he mumbled a “Sure”
“Thank you!” She was gone before James knew it, returning back to her to the castle without so much as another word to the three of them. ___
“Maybe I’ll take you two there too” came (y/n)’s voice as James and Sirius walked her to her next class. Usually, James wouldn’t come along whenever she and her older brother would spend time between classes, but since he had dropped some of his subjects that year, he figured he could join them from time to time.
“What did Moony say?” Sirius asked softly.
“How about I’ll tell you later? when we’re... alone”
“I can leave if you wish” James piped in, pausing his steps to look at the siblings. It seemed they had private matters to talk to, and James didn’t want to intrude just because he’s harboring feelings for the girl.
“Oh, don’t fuzz, Jamesy. I’m near my class anyway” She grinned at him. “I guess I’ll see you two later then”
With that, she reached over to land a peck on Sirius’ cheek - which the older boy wiped off in mock-disgust, before doing the same to James, who had instinctively wrapped an arm around her waist as she did so.
James didn’t know if it was just him, but did her lips manage to linger on his cheek longer? Her cheeks were tinted pink when she pulled away, her lips fighting off a smile. With a wave of her hands, she turned to walk away, her footsteps far quicker than usual.
“Mate, you alright?” Sirius asked once again, staring at James this time. He watched as the bespectacled boy’s cheeks flushed a deeper shade of red, and that is when it clicked. “James, do you like my sister?”
“What?! No- like your sister, that’s hilarious, Pads”
“So you think it’s hilarious someone would like my sister” Sirius crossed his arms over his chest with a questioning look. The smirk on his face had gone unnoticed by James, who had tried his hardest to deny his obvious feelings for the girl with the grey eyes and the dark hair.
“No, it’s not that-”
“It’s a yes or no question, Prongs. All you have to do it to pick one”
“YES, ALRIGHT!” James had screamed in his flustered state, earning looks from the students passing by them. In a flash, Sirius’ smirk turned into a grin, before ultimately becoming loud laughter.
“That’s good to know”
“What do you mean?”
“You’ll find out eventually” Sirius shrugged before walking ahead, but not before turning to look at James with a smirk. ___
“Hey (y/n), wait up!” James exclaimed, running after the dark-haired girl who had just left her Potions class. There was an unreadable expression on her face, but she was quick enough to send a smile towards him, pausing to allow James to catch up to her.
“So what are your plans for the rest of the day?” James asked, nerves building in his stomach. He wanted to tell her how he felt about her today, as soon as he can before he ultimately chickens out.
“Nothing really” She shrugged, “Although I was planning to visit the seventh floor again. If you want you can come with me? I do recall telling you I wanted to take you and Siri there, but we can wait til he’s free if you want”
“We can go now” James replied with a smile, “Besides, I’ve got something to tell you”
“Of course” She grinned before looping her arms around James’. With every floor they ascended into, James couldn’t help but feel more and more nervous. They’re alone. In an abandoned corridor. Where James would finally tell the girl he loves how much she meant to him.
His breath hitched when they finally made it to the seventh floor, his eyes scanning the room for anything peculiar that might’ve caught (y/n)’s eyes to have her returning here every chance she gets. However, they walked deeper into the halls of the castle, into a room James had never been to before.
“Promise me you wouldn’t tell anyone about this okay?” She told James as she pulled him in front of a curtain-covered... something, pulling the cover off to reveal a large mirror.
There were runes carved on it arched wooden frame, something James couldn’t decipher, which made the antique mirror even more glorious and mysterious. Without much thought, he stepped in front of it, expecting to see himself, only for another visual to appear.
It’s him, he recognized, a couple of years older, but him. Only, he wasn’t alone. Beside him stood a woman with grey eyes and dark hair, their arms were wrapped in each other’s waists gently, while her free hand rests on top of his chest.
James’ chest clenched at the vision of what they could be, how happy they could make each other. Especially upon seeing the wedding band glistening on their older-selves fingers. It’s something he didn’t know he wanted before, but now that he’s seen it, he doesn’t have a doubt in his mind that is where he wanted his life to lead to.
“It’s called the Mirror of Erised” (y/n)’s voice cut through his thoughts, their older selves disappearing from the mirror, replaced by their actual reflections. “Apparently it shows you your deepest desires” She smiled at James through the mirror, “What did you see, James?”
“You” He replied breathlessly, seeing no point in lying now, “You and me together... a bit older”
Her smile turned into a grin as she grabbed James’ hand, watching how perfectly they fit together as their fingers intertwined. “We were married, right?”
“You saw it too?” James asked incredulously, turning away from the mirror to look at the girl beside him. Her eyes were glistening with tears as she nodded her head in disbelief that they had both seen the same thing.
James’ hand twitched in his side, and before he knew it, he had both her cheeks in his hands, pulling her towards him in a gentle but passionate kiss. She released a moan in delight as she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer.
“I can’t believe it” She mumbled into the kiss before they pulled away, both grinning like mad men as they stared into each other’s eyes. James’ heart was beating against his chest rapidly again, willing himself to wake up if this is some kind of dream, and thanking the heavens above when it proved this was all real.
“This is the happiest I’ve ever been in my entire life” James admitted before he was pulled into another kiss by the younger Black, his hands sliding towards the back of her thighs which he had used to hoist her up.
She squealed in laughter, wrapping her legs around his waist as she pulled away, only to bury her face into his neck as they melted into the embrace. They stayed that way for a moment, both too wrapped up in each other to realize someone had already walked in.
“You know, just because I gave you my blessing doesn’t mean I want to see you both shagging in empty hallways”
(y/n) was quick to detach herself from James, her cheeks flushing red as she faced her older brother, whose hands were holding that of Remus’. James, although embarrassed having been caught by his best friend, was more surprised to see the two together.
“Finally!” She exclaimed at the two, smiling, “Took you long enough!”
“Could say the same to you” Remus retorted, raising an eyebrow in their direction as James found himself instinctively wrapping an arm around (y/n)’s waist. ___
“I can’t believe Dumbledore allowed us back in here” (y/n) giggled as James pulled her back towards the seventh floor, shushing her as they turned into the far too familiar corridor. It’s been 2 years since James left Hogwarts, and a year since (y/n) had. From then, they’ve moved into their own cottage just a few minutes away from Sirius and Remus’, their relationship growing stronger by the day.
Now, two years into their relationship, it’s evident they’re still as in love as before, if not more.
“You’ve already got me, honey. There’s no need to look into the mirror” (y/n) teased as James detached himself for a moment, pecking her forehead as he turned to pull off the cover of the all-too-familiar mirror.
He smiled as he saw himself once again. The vision remained the same, the two of them in each other’s arms, but this time there was a little boy joining them - who had (y/n)’s grey eyes and James’ tousled hair.
He watched as (y/n) turned to look at the mirror with a smile, a hundred percent sure she was seeing the same thing as she reached over to touch the mirror with her fingertips. With her distracted, James got down on one knee, tugging at the hem of of her dress to catch her attention.
An audible gasp left her lips at the sight of him, tears pooling in her eyes as she stared at James.
“(y/n), when I asked your older brother for permission to marry you, I swear he wanted to bash me in the head with a beater’s bat” His grin widened at the sound of her giggle. “Hush, darling. Give me a minute”
“Of course, love” She replied, wiping a few tears away, biting her bottom lip to stop herself.
“Here it goes,” James mumbled more to himself, “(y/n), you are not the most perfect girl in the world.. which ironically makes you the most perfect one in mine. Every day, I live in fear that you’d think I’m not the one for you, that you’d find someone else you know is more worthy of your time and your effort. But my doubts are washed away the moment I open my eyes each morning to see you sleeping so contently beside me. You are the light of my life, and I love you with all my heart. And it would mean the absolute world to me if you agree to take me as your husband for the rest of our lives”
“James,” She breathed out, joining him on the floor as she knelt in front of him as well, cupping his cheeks as she wiped away the tears he didn’t know were already falling from his eyes, “Yes, yes of course!”
She wrapped her arms around him in an embrace, burying her face in his chest as her tears continued flowing from her eyes.
“Wait” James breathed out through sniffles, chuckling slightly at the sight of his fiance red-nosed - although he knew he was in the same state, “Let me slip your ring on, love”
“Right” (y/n) giggled as she held out her hand.
James pulled out the ring from the velvet box, slipping it into her finger where it rested snugly against her skin - a perfect fit.
“I love you” He couldn’t help but whisper as he helped her up back to her feet, pulling her against him as he captured her lips in his in a sealing kiss.
“I love you too”

Rue: Chapter 7 (Jasper Hale x OC Imagine)
He felt her long before she heard her.
The same old tugging in his heart, followed by this sense of knowing that she was nearby, coming right for him.
And in anticipation of her arrival, he staked his guard just outside the clearing of the house. He was soon joined by members of his family, Edward on his left and Alice on his right. Carlisle and Esme were not too far behind, on the veranda. No one dared move.
Then there was the rustling of the leaves, but in all reality they had heard her from miles away, deliberately making the largest of noises. Adeline emerged in all her glory, single handedly holding the carcass of a giant mountain lion which she clearly had drained already. With a flourish, she threw the carcass right at the foot of Jasper.
She always did have a flare for the dramatics.
“You wanted me right, Jasper Whitlock?” Adeline growled, her eyes were wild and her countenance hostile. Alice eyed her warily, unable to predict the other’s move and Edward flared his nostrils in warning, ready to lunge forward anytime.
Jasper held out his hand, gesturing for the two to step down. With his eyes still trained on Adeline, he took a step forward to come face to face with the girl.
"Adeline."
Adeline’s face broke into a wide feral grin, though her eyes were shinning like cold hard coals. “Well here I am.” Her hands flew rapidly in the air, gesturing to herself. “So quit your stalkerish behaviour and let’s talk like real grown adults who’ve been living for way too long.”
He kept his face impassive, trying to show her just how hysterical she was acting. “You’re being irrational now. No one here means you any harm.”
“Irrational? Me irrational?!” She echoed in disbelief. Before pointing a finger in his face, absolutely livid. “I don’t need this talk from you! I’m not the one who’s been following an innocent girl half the country, disrupting her peace! Driving her insane!”
“Really, all I wanted was just some answers, which last I checked were quite long overdue.” Jasper shrugged nonchalantly, while Adeline looked as if she were ready to explode the next second.
“You don’t come to my house and harass me and my siblings and then demand to be answered to just like that!” She spat.
“Then what should’ve I done then?” Jasper asked cooly, his frustration was slowly building as well.
“You might have asked nicely-”
“Asked nicely?” He couldn’t help the scorn in his laugh, but neither could he conceal the hurt he had been feeling. “Would you have cared to answer then? Instead of running away as if you’ve seen a ghost? When you were the one who’d ran away like the ghost yourself?”
That seemed to slap her in the face and Adeline spluttered for a moment before finally threw her arms in the air, in a tantrum.
“I don’t care what you want! Just leave me the fuck alone!”
“You know I can’t do that." Not now when I’ve finally found you after so long.
In the end it was this declaration that proved to be the last straw for Adeline. With a feral growl and lightning reflexes, she was lunging for his jugular. But she had not known that Jasper was just as prepared for the attack; he had years of experience in war and in the handling of newborns. With equally, if not even quicker speed he blocked the attack and launched a counter attack, thought not meant to be lethal, only to subdue his opponent. Adeline dodged it with poise and precision, and retaliated with another punch aiming for the solar plexus.
It became apparent in a matter of seconds that the girl was fighting to win, aiming for all the vulnerable spots of her opponent, she fought with grace and an instinct, as if she knew where and when the next blow would be. Jasper on the other hand was quicker and stronger, craftier. Despite the girl’s anticipation, she was no match to Jasper superior skills, and it soon dawned on her that she was fighting a losing battle. Jasper watched her eyes shift, calculating, no doubt trying to hatch a hasty retreat.
Not this time.
With a swift block to her kick from the left, he’d lunge at her, tipping her off balance, pinning her to the ground with his hand clasped around her delicate neck, face inches from hers, close enough to bite.
But her warm hand was on his chest, where his dead heart was.
They were locked in an impasse, neither willing to let the other go first, to admit defeat. Though if anything it was clear from the way the fight had gone down, Jasper had the upper hand right from the beginning and was going easy on Adeline. She was no match to his superior ability or skills and would’ve lost eventually.
The defeat left her livid. He could feel her piercing glare and the venomous loathing seeping under his skin. But he’d rather her hate him then be apart from her for another minute, and he was worried that the minute he loosened his grip, he would lose her once again.
“Jasper, let’s invite our guest into the house, shall we?”
Carlisle’s soothing voice broke the two out of their chokehold on each other. Adeline glared at Jasper again, finally moving her hand away only to slap away his clasp on her neck. She stood up in fury and without a backward glance, stalked into the house.
*
Yes. Yes. Yes.
She could see him in broad daylight now. They had fought and she had lost. He was no longer the same Jasper she had known all those years ago, not the simple farm boy who had courted her nor the charming Major she had watched climb the ranks of the Souther army. Here was the man changed, replaced by a monster, stronger, faster, who had honed and mastered his own weaponries over the last century.
There was no mistaking now, Jasper Whitlock was a vampire.
And it infuriated her all the more because how could he throw away all his human life and pleasures, after everything she had sacrificed for him?!
“Well?” Adeline barked impatiently as she turned to face the family crowding around her in the living room, more had joined seemingly from out of nowhere. There was the little one’s family though she herself was absent; and then there was her woman from the bar in Minnesota hoovering close behind Jasper, as well as another two pair of couples.
“I haven’t got all day.” She snapped to no one in particular.
The leader, stepped forward to stand next to Jasper. Blonde hair carefully swept back neatly, in a tailor made suit. Adeline spared a glance at her worn out sweater and jeans and momentarily felt ashamed for her own tardiness. “I don’t suppose we’ve all formally met. My name is Carlisle Cullen, this is my family. From my understanding, Jasper and you have been long acquaintances-”
“Fair enough.” Adeline muttered, eyeing the latter who was quietly observing her severely in return. Oh how she wished she could gouge those golden orbs out.
“Esme here.” Carlisle now gestured at the honey blonde close to him. “She’s my mate. The others are my children, Edward, Bella, Rosalie, Emmett and Alice. Only Alice and Jasper are not my direct or indirect sires, they joined the coven voluntarily.”
That caught her attention and Adeline shot another glance at Jasper. So then, this well-spoken gentleman was not the one who had turned Jasper then. She wondered briefly who the culprit had been.
“And no doubt you’ve already met Renesmee, our youngest. She is Bella and Edward’s child.”
Adeline trailed her eyes onto the couple. Edward was scrutinising her reaction while Bella shifted uncomfortably. “You had the child before she was turned?” She directed her question towards the man. “How very rash.” And stupid. Adeline thought to herself.
She did not miss the small frown on Edward’s face.
“We did not know then, that I was… that we were capable of making a baby between a vampire and human.” Was his guarded reply. “We had never met another hybrid before it. And we paid the price with the Volturi.”
“The Volturi came for your child?” That piqued her interest.
“Yes.” Edward nodded. “We barely avoided conflict and a bloodbath.”
Well, that was interesting information. Her fury at Jasper momentarily set aside, Adeline stopped to process this new piece of information.
“What did you say or do to have them off your back? Because I can’t imagine them being all too accepting with the news. Especially if they’ve never met or seen a hybrid before. They’d be wary of it and keen to destroy before word could spread.”
“There’s a coven of hybrids in South America.” Alice, the girl from the bar butted in with her shrill little voice. “Jasper and I managed to track them down and we were able to learn of the basics of your kind. They had to leave when they couldn’t find another threat.”
Adeline's brows shot up in surprise. “There’s a coven of hybrids in South America? What of them now then?”
“We aren’t sure.” Carlisle finally answered after a moment of silence. “But we have our own speculations.”
“No violation of the sacred laws of the Volturi will ever go unpunished.”
Adeline’s thoughts unconsciously wandered back to her father as she mulled over Carlisle’s words thoughtfully, a hand over her chin. A breech in the laws… Punishments…
“What of you then?” Edward’s question roused her from her thoughts and back to the present.
“What of me?” Adeline echoed in feigned innocence.
“Your maker.” Edward was looking at her squarely in the eye. A hint of hostility lingering at the back of his voice. “Last I remembered, you were quite adamant that my daughter was not to trust her own makers. I can’t imagine why.”
Adeline felt the corner of mouth twitched in annoyance. What a petty, narrow minded man he was. “Well I’m sorry but not everyone lives a sequestered, pampered life like you do, Mr Edward.” She flashed him a wide fake smile. “And no, I'm not interested in divulging in my private life with the likes of strangers.” As if she was going to tell them of Father and her siblings. Although she hated one half of them and felt indifferent towards the other half, there were still a few precious ones in her family she would wish to keep safe. She didn’t quite trust the Cullens enough, and certainly not Jasper, to reveal too much of her private life to them. There was no guarantee that the Volturi would be kind for a second or third time. There was no guarantee the family did not have any ties or agreement with the Volturi.
She was engaged in a heated stare off with Edward when she glimpsed Jasper fighting to keep his face stoic.
“What?” She snapped. “What’re you smiling at?”
“You know, Adeline. I would hold my thoughts closer to myself if I were you when Edward’s around.” Jasper was evidently trying and failing to suppress a smirk as the corner of his lips tugged upwards. “He’s a telepath.”
Adeline snapped her head towards Edward so quick she thought she was giving herself whiplash. She felt herself blanched as she thought of all the things that Edward would now know before resolutely slamming a mental wall over her mind.
Motherf- She had been duped! Again! This was a trap all along! And in coming here she had willingly fallen headfirst into it like a moth to a fire!
With a frustrated growl, Adeline turned and stalked straight out of the house.
She should never have come!
“Adeline. Adeline.”
She kept striding forward, ignoring Jasper’s voice even as it followed her, getting closer and closer until he was close enough to grab her by the arm.
“Adeline!”
“What is it that you want?” Adeline hissed still fuming, as she pulled her hand away from his grasp. “I came because I thought you wanted to talk like real adults. But I guess that was never your intention!”
“Adeline, you know it’s never my intention to harm you.” He sighed in response.
“You didn’t have to stalk me, and certainly not my sister. She was innocent.”
“And you know you wouldn’t have come on your free will if I hadn’t done that.” Jasper murmured, somewhat akin to a wounded puppy. For a split second she thought she had a glimpse of his guilt but she wouldn’t let it cloud her judgement. She was supposed to be angry, and she had every right to be so.
She was not the perpetrator in this.
Or so she convinced herself.
“Look, fine. You got me.” Adeline threw her hands up in resignation and sighed. “I’m a hybrid, my father is a vampire, all my siblings are half vampires. I’ve been alive since 1789; I was a hybrid when I met you, I’m still one now. Does that satisfy your question?”
“Why did you leave?” Jasper eyed her cautiously, wary of her sudden forthcomingness.
“I left because I wanted to.” The lie rolling out of her mouth was surprisingly so much easier than she thought it would be. “There’s no deeper meaning in it than that.”
“Bullshit.” Jasper growled dangerously.
Adeline feigned annoyance and shook her head with a sigh. “Sometimes the truth is just harder to accept, Jasper.”
“I don’t believe you.”
“It’s not up to you to decide.” She looked away then and heaved another sign.
There was a heaviness in the air and it made her squirm uncomfortably. For all the intimacy they had shared together all those years ago, it felt like they were two strangers right now. But they might as well be.
People change all the time. And for all that it may, she wasn’t the same girl Jasper Whitlock had courted a century and a half ago. She had long since buried her naivety and innocence in the passage of time.
She had become a stranger to him, just as he had become a stranger to her now.
There was no sense in any sort of rekindling of any kind.
“I think I’m gonna go now.” Adeline mumbled without even looking up.
“Wait.” She felt his strong hand on her wrist again, stopping her from motion. “Not yet.”
“What?”
She turned back, confused to see the new determination in his eyes.
“Aren’t you curious?”
“Curious about what?”
“Have you ever thought, how did Jasper manage to find me? How did Jasper manage to track me down? Because clearly you have some sort of instinctive self preservative and concealment ability and I’m guessing that it’s usually close to impossible to track you.”
“And?” She couldn’t see where this was going. Really, it was a waste of time.
“Haven’t you ever given thought to just what kind of beings possesses such an ability?”
“You’re wasting time talking in circles.” She declared.
“Come on darling.” She hated that knowing smirk on his face. It was equally becoming and also frustrating to look at. “Tick tock. Think.”
Adeline squinted at the man in front of her suspiciously. Just what in God’s name was he implying? What kind of being would be able to track someone down easily. The obvious answer would be: a tracker. But she knew this was not what Jasper was trying to get at given his specific veiled remark. So then… what?
“Especially when there’s a bond involved?”
That snapped her out of her reverie.
“I don’t believe you!” Adeline spluttered in indignation. “Bullshit! I… I’m not going to fall for that load of crap!” Jasper’s calm demeanour only spurred on her anger. “You’re suggesting a soulmate bond?! Impossible!”
“Calm down darlin-”
“Calm down?” Adeline echoed after Jasper, incredulous. “Are you… are you hearing yourself?”
“Yes I am.” The straight face he was giving her, it was just too much!
“Those things don’t exist Jasper.” She tried to implore, to talk some sense into that thick skull of his, which seemed to have grown in thickness since the last time they had met.
“You wanna bet?” He shot her a cocky smile, and her heart began to thump rapidly. Out of indignation, not excitement. She said to herself.
“You can bet your pretty little head that when I’m done I’m going to serve it on a silver platter!”
“You do remember that I know where your little sister is, don’t you?”
“Are you threatening me?”
“Come now. That’d be low even for me.”
“Fuck you!”
Oh that cocky smirk. Her rage was coming back on full now and Jasper had been doing nothing but fanning the flames of her anger every given chance. Some part of her mind, the part still capable of rational thought, nagged at her.
And why are you so irritated by the accusation?
Because this is incredulous. She thought to herself.
“Come on, darling. Prove me wrong.”
When she made no move to reply, Adeline felt a hand clasping around hers. And cold as it may be, the gentleness of the caress reminded her for the first time in a long while, of a time she thought had already escaped her all those years ago. She looked up at his tawny eyes, for the first time since their reunion, they held nothing but a vulnerability, a deep longing that came from a depth that she was afraid to venture in. She had to turn away for fear of drowning in those liquid topaz.
“Stay… stay for a month.” He continued to coax, soothingly, his voice like silk in her ears and she felt an artificial wave of calm trying to wrap around her. “Prove yourself right and prove me wrong. Prove that I’m an obsessive psychopathic lunatic who’s just been randomly pulling crazy ideas out of thin air.”
Adeline swallowed. This would be a very bad idea, this would be a very very bad idea. “What’s in this for me?”
“If I can’t convince you by the end of the month.” She watched him lick his lips, a nervous tick of his that only ever seems to emerge when the two were alone. “I’ll leave you alone for good.”
“Deal.” She found herself say in reply. Though deep down, there was a sense of wrong, that she had committed yet another mistake, had willingly walked into another trap of his. With her years behind her, if anything they should have taught her to be smarter, to be more level-headed and calculating.
So why was she agreeing to this crazy suggestion?
Adeline held his gaze searchingly for a moment. Finally forcing herself to speak, her voice momentarily caught in her throat.
“You’ve changed, Jasper.”
*
“You’ve changed, Jasper.”
Him, changed? Jasper was surprised by the irritation the statement had stirred in him.
“How so?” He tried to keep his voice even, but there was a tremor in it, one he hoped Adeline would not catch ahold of.
“You…” He watched as she frowned inwardly, searching for the right word to say. “You didn’t used to be so… so manipulative.”
That struck a chord in his heart.
“You’ve set traps for me at every turn.” The accusation was salt on his wound and it stung so badly. But she was not entirely wrong.
“You got to do what you got to do to survive in my world.”
“Your world?”
“Yes, my world.”
He suddenly felt an unsalvageable gulf between the two of them. Adeline was right, he had changed, by the Civil War, by Maria and his bloodlust filled life. Life had forced to him to be ruthless and militaristic, to exploit every little weakness his opponents had, to manipulate every emotion exuberated. Life with Cullens had softened him considerably, but he had not lost this skill he had honed over the century. And in times of need, the Major in him always resurfaced.
“But can you say the same for yourself?”
Adeline had changed too.
He scrutinised her pretty face closer, searching for some semblance of the lover he had lost all those years ago.
She had once compared him to the different intervals of the day. He was the afternoon, warm and welcoming, when the sun was just right, when the sunlight wasn’t too harsh and the warmth from it shrouded one in a blanket of sleep. And he had compared her to midday, when the sun was at its highest, when the light was intense and at its strongest.
Now the light seemed to be gone from her. She was a new moon, when even the light of the moon had spun away, hidden in the dark night. And he realised how little he knew of her just as she knew nothing of his. What had happened to have taken away her sun?
He watched as Adeline frowned before moving away uncomfortably under his intense gaze.
An air of hesitancy shrouded around Adeline, growing stronger by the minute. No doubt their conversation had brought great unease to the girl now; for the first time, the two of them realised just how little they know of the other. Of all the changes the other had gone through since their breakup.
And it seemed that, neither was quite willing to let the other in.
With the loss of innocence, it wasn’t near impossible for them to bare their soul and heart to the other in a heartbeat, without scruples.
For fear of more injuries, for fear of ripping out new wounds amongst old scars. For all the shame they had gone through in the years since passed.
“We’ve all changed.”
But the final verdict seemed wronged, and it aroused in him a sense of dissatisfaction from the depths of his chest. Gnawing at him. It didn’t feel right, he hadn’t intended to push her away even further when he lured her here. He had wanted to reconnect with her, to rebuild whatever was lost between them. To pick up from wherever they had departed.
And it only seemed to distance her even further away.
Jasper frowned in distaste and turned towards the house again.
“Come. I’ll show you to your room.”

Going Angst
Day Five: Death
Trevor wasn’t sure how much luck he had.
Some adults thought it was very concerning he was found right on January 1st, 2000. A day that brought upon the paranoia that such a year would cause the end of the world.
Yet for Trevor, he knew it was lucky someone found him. Only covered in a few blankets, he would’ve died from the cold and the lack of any food. Instead he only lost his left leg and left hand to frostbite.
However this also caused some problems, such as convincing adults that he was alright, and that they should adopt him. He was able to do most things that other kids in the orphanage did, like talk, walk, watch tv. What about him made him different?
Most of the other kids in the orphanage were around six years old. A few older kids hung around upstairs, not wanting to deal with the noise downstairs. Trevor however liked spending his time in a small corner he found by himself. It was his space, just for him and his ghost parrot Skully.
Unlike other people, Trevor was captivated by the talking ghost bird. Skully was the one responsible for defining words he didn’t know, like radiant, horrendous, homophones, synonyms. He was really smart, and Trevor liked to think spending time with the bird made him smart.
“Hey Skully, guess what,” he spoke as he snuck into his corner.
Skully woke up from his nap with a snort, glancing around the room sleepily. “Oh, it’s you,” He spoke in a dull manner. “What sort of news do you bring, young Trevor?”
“One of the kids, JT, said we’re going to the pool tomorrow for a trip!” Trevor spoke excitedly. “I’ve never been to one before. I don’t think I even know what swimming is. Do you?”
“I’m afraid I wasn’t born a waterfowl, so no, I don’t,” Skully answered, stretching his bony wings.
“A waterfowl?” Trevor questioned.
The bird sighed. “Any species of bird that’s capable of swimming, complete with feathers that are waterproof and webbed feet. As you can see, my feet are far from webbed,” He added, holding up one for proof.
“Ohh, that makes sense,” Trevor spoke, searching the room for the stash of race cars he hid inside one of the room’s walls that he and his friend played. “Heh, you look like you know everything, Skully. I hope I get as smart as you.”
The bird took a moment to puff his chest out. “I don’t know if you’ll learn as much as myself, but who knows,” He replied, preening himself.
Trevor finally found one of the race cars, the blue one he gave Skully since he knew the bird had a fondness for the color. He set it aside as he searched for the other.
“Hey Skully, do you think that there might be someone looking for a kid when we get to the pool?”
The bird flapped down from his perch onto the floor. “Possibly.”
“Do you think they might choose me?”
“I don’t see why not,” Skully answered, placing a foot on the race car and driving it around. “You seem in good health, and I’m sure they wouldn’t say no to someone as chipper as you.”
“You really think so?” Trevor responded.
The bird looked up to view the human.
He held his race car in his hook hand. It resembled a pirate ship, cobwebs covering it. A spider crawled onto Trevor’s hair. Yet there was no doubt in his mind that some human would be able to see the true kindness the kid had.
“Absolutely. But you better move the spider back to its corner before you scare someone.”
“Oh, sorry,” Trevor apologized to the tiny creature, gingerly placing it back into a crevice.
“Can we race now?” He asked Skully, cleaning off the spider webs from his hook.
“Of course, you better start us off. I’ve been practicing.”
“I bet I’ll still win!”
“We’ll see about that, young Trevor!”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Skully was napping again when he felt something stirr his core. He nearly crashed onto the floor from the shaking.
He knew only one reason why his core trembled like that.
Someone, or something, had died. And rather close by it seemed.
Skully wasn’t one to see the newly departed, but it had grown rather lonely inside the orphanage whenever Trevor went on a test trial with any human couple seeking a child.
The bird sighed as he took flight. It wasn’t Trevor’s fault that he had been found abandoned and his body already experienced his first touch of death. He didn’t like those humans who casted glances that the boy looked right through. All he asked from the world was a home. Why were humans so stupid in bot being able to answer such a simple wish?
He flew over the city to the place where his core trembled. There. A pool. Outside an ambulance was parked, it’s lights flashing. Two police cars were already driving down the street just a short distance away.
Skully panicked. Young Trevor mentioned that he and the other children were going to the pool earlier today. Had one of them died?
The bird turned intangible and surveyed the crowd. Some of the kids from the orphanage were standing outside, crying. Most were being comforted by the adults that often volunteered at the orphanage and were wrapped up in blankets.
He spotted JT, one of Young Trevor’s friends, among them, and gave a brief sigh. That boy was alive. But what of his friend?
Skully flew to the ambulance. Inside some adults were assessing a body. He recognized the bit of hair on top of the small head. His core stood still as he looked at the monitor.
There was no pulse.
He had to find Young Trevor.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was some short while after the sun dipped over the horizon, the sky getting darker tones of blue. Skully had searched most of the city area of Amity Park with no luck of spotting Young Trevor.
He went to fly over Amity Park and spotted a small ghostly figure resting on a bench. A small gasp escaped his beak as he swooped down.
He landed on the bench quietly. The boy didn’t seem to notice, as he was busy crying, hiding his head in his hands.
The bird cleared his throat. “Young Trevor?”
No answer.
Skully gave a sigh. “I know it’s a lot to take in, believe me. But I’m here for you if you need anything-”
“Why didn’t they notice me?”
The parrot looked up. “Come again?”
“I was right there, I wasn’t able to swim. I didn’t see how far I floated out into the deep end until…” The boy’s words were lost to his sobs.
“I thought adults were all supposed to care for kids. I wasn’t able to swim, someone, anyone should’ve seen me!” Trevor’s face peered over his hands as he looked out into the distance, tears dripping from his nostrils and his eyes. “It was so cold, Skully. The water was so cold.”
“...Trevor-”
“I hate them.”
“Young Trevor?”
“I hate them!” The young ghost yelled, sniffed his nose. “I should’ve seen it all along. Why else didn’t anyone want me when I was alive? I didn’t matter to them cause of how I looked. And now they want me while I’m dead.” The boy paused, once again processing what had happened. “And now I’m dead,” He whispered quietly.
Skully climbed up Young Trevor’s shirt till he was perched on his shoulder before nestling next to his neck.
“There there my boy,” He muttered. “It’s alright. You’re just scared of what occurred today. It wasn’t no place for you to die. But I promise you’ll be missed.”
“Who’s going to remember me?” Young Trevor asked.
“JT for one. I spotted him crying a river of tears while I went looking for you.”
“Oh gosh, JT,” Young Trevor choked, his eyes watering up. “I didn’t mean for him- I didn’t want this- I tried so hard to get someone to notice me-”
“It’s not your fault, nor should JT feel it’s his fault either,” Skully comforted the child. “Things like these just happen. We have to move on, even if it hurts now, or hurts for a long time.”
The pair were silent, the first few stars in the sky showing up.
“Skully?”
“Yes Young Trevor?”
“I want to change my name.”
The bird glanced at his face. The boy’s eyes looked irritated from crying. “Why do you want to do that?”
“I don’t want anyone to call me Trevor. That’s what all the adults called me. Everyone else like JT called me One Leg Trev. They always came up with cool nicknames cause I reminded them of a pirate.”
His eyes lit up. “I’m going to call myself Youngblood. That sounds like a pirate name. Only kids get to call me that. If any living adult tries doing that, I’ll haunt them until they leave their home.”
“Young Trevor-”
“It’s Youngblood.”
The parrot held back his words. “Youngblood, are you certain about this?”
“I’m done listening to adults. I’ll haunt the adults inside that orphanage until every kid inside gets a new home. I’ll get a crew, and we’ll all make sure that no adult who does any rotten stuff to kids gets away with it.”
Youngblood casted a look at Skully. “You’ll stay and be my first mate, right?”
Skully’s throat choked up. The boy was still grieving. He hadn’t the slightest idea of how permanent choices like these lasted in the afterlife.
But he knew he couldn’t say no. It was dangerous to leave a young ghost like him alone with no one to guide him through the Ghost Zone.
“Yes, I will.”
