k so I tried to write this as a notfic for my AO3 The Space Family But.. series but I got stuck because I have no plot actually. so. I guess i'll just be rambling about it on here!

anyway.

Star Wars Rebels modern AU where they were all actors in a TV show set in the star wars universe. It was called Quest of Rebellion and was less of a connected story and more of a monster/villain/random-event-of-the-week type show. It was almost more like classic Star Trek, in a way. But in the Star Wars universe.

It starred, in order:

Caleb Dume as Kanan Jarrus, the charming--and slightly cocky, but with a heart of gold--captain of the ship. He completely embraced his character. The rest of the cast was always slipping up and calling him Kanan even off the set. He was by far the fan favorite.

Hera Syndulla as the bright, confident first mate and pilot Layda Dawn. Her character was sometimes a bit more damsel-y than she would have liked, but she was still the role model of a generation of little girls, and she's proud of it. Her finest moment was when she argued her way into having a scene where Layda carried a wounded Kanan out of danger while explosions and epic music were in the background.

Chopper... as... Chopper. He's legit just the same droid. Fully functional and an agent of chaos. Don't ask me how this works, I don't know. Chopper transcends logic. He's too powerful.

Garazeb Orellios as Commander Mel Loorun, the gruff chief of security. He was a stage actor, I'm thinking maybe Shakespeare, before he took on this role and is a little salty about how goofy his character can be. But he's dedicated to the art. He's always in costume, purple alien makeup and all. ALWAYS.  A L W A Y S.

Sabine Wren as Ria Talla, the perky young junior mechanic. Ria got a lot of hate, mostly because a certain writer had a habit of putting Ria in mortal danger due to her own incompetence, and it was in enough episodes that people kind of forgot that she was usually a clever, capable crewmember and an essential part of the team. (She has a personal vendetta against the episode on Zarvon 4, particularly. Everyone knows: you do not mention it to her.) This really got to Sabine, because she wanted to be a role model to a generation of little girls, like Hera was, and instead, she was just plain unpopular.

Ezra Bridger as Dev Morgan, a Jedi Padawan who joined the ship's crew. He embraced his character as much as Kanan did, with far less positive results. Again, this was due to some writers making terrible decisions with his character--half the time, he was the idiotic comic relief, and half the time, he was the smartest one, who saved everyone else. The only consistent thing was his sass. Audience reception to his character made Ria look like a fan favorite. But it doesn't bother him. No, really. He's fine.

The show ran for a few seasons, got a devoted following, and then got unexpectedly cancelled. In the years that followed, the actors kinda sorta moved on with their lives. Well, some of them did.

Ten years later, the cast's lives look like:

Caleb and Hera, whose characters had very unsubtle hints of a romance (which was unexpectedly reconned in Season 4, to the ire of the fandom), actually got married in real life and are now the proud parents of a ten-year-old boy named Jacen, who thinks Quest of Rebellion is stupid and his parents are lame.

Chopper... is still Chopper.

Zeb's gone back to Shakespeare acting---or, well, he's tried to, but after playing a purple furry alien on a sci-fi show, it's hard to get taken seriously.

Sabine lives in a condo her rich parents own. She's currently unemployed and going through some Mental Health Things.

And Ezra can't keep a job down, which he blames on Dev's issues with authority (he just gets so in character, and then management fires him! It's totally unfair!) He's currently looking for a job and is sleeping on the couch at Zeb's tiny apartment. He's been clinging to an upbeat, positive facade with every shred of strength he's got, but he recently set Sabine off on an angry tirade (she was having a bad day to start with and then he mentioned the Zarvon 4 episode) where she says a lot of things to him that are actually things she's been thinking about herself (pointless, worthless, failure, nothing but a joke, nobody wants you here). Well, that was the breaking point that finally brought it all crashing down, and he's hit rock bottom, feeling utterly useless and lost and purposeless.

Which is when the aliens abduct him.

See, unbeknownst to them all, in a galaxy far far away, a civilization of aliens has been picking up on our Earth channels for the past decade or so. Quest of Rebellion is a planetwide favorite. But the thing is, these aliens have no concept of fiction. They think Quest of Rebellion is a docuseries.

And when an evil Empire begins to rise in their galaxy, threatening their peaceful, unmilitarized, defenseless society, they turn to their heroes for salvation.

Help us, Padawan Morgan. You're our only hope.

Clair Obscur spoilers:

When it came to choosing an ending, I really couldn’t say which is better on a moral or even satisfactory level.

Like, sure, the painted world is escaping reality & grief & that’s not emotionally healthy. Plus, it seems like Verso’s soul is stuck painting there forever if the world continues, which he clearly doesn’t want.

But also, the people in the painted world are people. They have hopes, wants, needs, etc & the game clearly wants you to think that. Doesn’t that make it cruel & evil to destroy that world then? Sure, by the end, it’s just all of the party except Maelle (and maybe the people she sorta revived to fight) but there’re also all the Gestrals & uhh big furry guys.

Also, Maelle partly wants to stay in the canvas bc she can hardly speak in the real world & she’s ashamed or embarrassed by her scars. I think it’s fair to consider it a disability so I understand it’s probably emotionally healthier for her to go back to reality & learn to live with her disability but… you can’t really blame her for wanting to stay where she has her voice & face back. Clea seemed kinda shitty to her in the flashback & her parents were clearly dealing with their own stuff. I guess the end implies they’re gonna reconcile but it’s not very clear.

I guess the 1 issue I had with the game is it didn’t totally dive into the ramifications of the story. Aline makes or at least radically alters a world to escape her grief, Renoir decides to basically kill everyone, Clea makes some evil creatures cuz why not. (Aline also made some Nevrons too). But none of them seem to acknowledge how their actions fucked up the people of Lumiere or the other groups. All of that only matters in relation to their emotions. Maelle wants to keep the canvas, but we’re not supposed to see that as reasonable. It’ll kill her eventually.

The game is obviously all about grief & how we deal with it or try to ignore it, but it seems to imply that whatever you do out of grief is, at worst, sad or self-destructive. It doesn’t acknowledge that you can do things out of grief that causes more grief to others & you should be held accountable for that.

WHOOOAAA- after hemming and hawing over it for a while, I finally decided to post my takes on Cain and Abel for Hazbin Hotel!!

I’ve been thinking about these two an unhealthy amount, so here they are- the human versions, and then their versions in Hell hehe~ Below I have more in-depth reasonings behind their designs and the story I have given for them both~

Starting off let’s start with Abel!! The youngest little man here we go!!

For Abel- I really wanted him to take after Adam a lot. He resembles him the most, inheriting his brown hair, possibly build as well, and relatively taking after him a bit in personality as well just a little bit, mostly in being pretty prideful (which isn’t hard to do when you’re Heaven’s, and objectively your dad’s, favorite kid oops-). Not much to say on his human design, he’s pretty dang simple, so let’s get into his demon side shall we?

Now- Abel I imagine is in hell, which is like. Vaguely confirmed when Sera brings up the fact that Adam was the first human soul in Heaven. Now, frankly, while that’s most likely a throw away line, I wanna imagine that there’s a genuine reason that Abel ended up in hell, and I wanna say he became a little sinful in his life and that gave him his one way ticket to Hell.

With being the golden child of Heaven and his family, I wanna think he became a bit too prideful and arrogant about it, and with everyone around him basically being a yes-man to him, he just sorta internalized it and ran with it (parallels to Adam?? Yes.) While I imagine he wasn’t like a complete asshole, and has a good heart deep down, it just wasn’t enough, and the boy woke up in Hell.

For his demon design, I wanted to keep it fairly simple and give him a sheep/ram motif since 1. Being a shepherd, he’s around sheep and rams, and 2. a play on the whole ‘sacrificial lamb’ because he was the first ever victim of murder? Lots of fun to play with. He’s got a little sheep tail, possibly some furry haunches he keeps sheared to wear pants, and little cloven feet. I’m not the most satisfied with it, since it’s my first time doing something like this, but I’m fairly happy with how he looks. Little sheep boy we love~ I will probably redesign him before the year is over I swear-

And- for the wildest part, I wanna say he took after Adam in more ways than one and is in a rather popular rock band in Hell. I wanna imagine maybe Adam passed down his love of music/singing to his sons, as a treat, and Abel just kinda went with it since well. What else can ya do, gotta make a living doing something. He goes by his stage name commonly, to make sure no one knows he’s the son of Adam- the guy responsible for a lot of demon death. He’s not particularly strong, so keeping his head low and the truth of his lineage a secret is very very important for him.

I also imagine his time in Hell has seriously humbled him, so he’s much less arrogant and just living his life down there. He’s realized his own wrongs and is just trying his best to keep on living. Only big downside is he has to consistently go through new band members as some do get killed in the exterminations, thanks a lot Adam :|

And now for Cain

For Cain, I like him taking after Eve the most, so I decided to go with a more dirty-blond hair look. I do HC Eve as looking similar, if not identical, to Lilith so lighter hair was a must- and not only that, but with the theories of Cain being Lucifer’s son, I did wanna give a little nod towards that as well (and give Adam some subconscious reasons to favor his younger son over Cain whooopsie-)

I also gave him freckles because those are for me, as a treat.

I didn’t exactly want Cain to be vengeful and full of pure evil, I love those versions of him very much, but I wanted to play with the regret and remorse aspect a bit more, as well as the whole redemption thing. So in my HC’s Cain killed Abel in his fit of rage and jealousy, but once he’s off on his own and cursed by Heaven to wander alone with his immortality, he does genuinely start to regret it. At first of course he blames Heaven, his dad, Abel, anyone else but himself, but as the years drag on, he does genuinely begin to regret and repent for it.

Of course the damage is done, and his spawns are unfortunately evil, but he does work hard to repent for his mistakes, and once he inevitably does die much much later on, he’s genuinely repented enough so that he is at first granted access into Heaven. Heaven is technically all about redemption and all for humanity, so I think it’d be fun to flip the scripts a bit and let Cain just taste something good like that, all that hard work did pay off.

But unfortunately for him, a certain someone is (very) the slightest bit pissed off that he got up there when his brother didn’t and took it upon himself to send Cain to Hell personally.

Because I enjoy ✨family drama✨ very much. That’s for meeee-

Because of that he’s just kind of a little guy, got some cool horns, clawed hands, just a little guy doin his best. Cain generally just kind of keeps to himself and does his own thing. Due to his lineage, he also goes by a different name to avoid people making the connection between him and Adam as well. While he probably would have a few sinners going for him since he’s the first murderer and that could possibly get him some good street cred, it could also be very bad for him, so he really just keeps to himself and does his best to avoid other demons as much as possible. I imagine he would be rather powerful as well, and could hold his own very easily in Hell, but he prefers to just be left alone so you’d never know how powerful he truly is.

I also say he enjoys plants. While he also got the music treatment, he prefers to just grow various types of plants in his home and possibly sells some different ones as well. It ain’t much, but it’s honest work. Got his temper still, but now he’s just kind of living his life and avoiding people the best he can.

Now- I also wanna imagine both brothers do have some sort of relationship with each other as well when they’re in Hell together. They do eventually run into each other, both are shocked seeing the other there, and they have plenty of time to talk about everything.

It’s not the closest in the world, but Cain sincerely apologized for his actions when they were alive, and Abel did forgive him, so now they do chat a bit about their jobs, small things here and there, and are relatively polite towards each other. Not best friends or anything like that, but they can hold good conversations and joke around a bit. Cain also gives Abel plants as house warming gifts and such, and sometimes Abel can’t tell if the plants are genuine or if it’s a thinly veiled threat due to some being a bit more dangerous than others- but he appreciates it nonetheless~

Oh heck yeah! I’d be happy to talk about it [but be warned, once I start talking I’ll never stop..]

Nerium/Neri, the weird hijabi cat you might see everywhere on my blog is my main persona/mascot and basically just an artistic representation of myself, so anything that applies to them also applies to me LOL.

Neri is genderfluid/nonbinary and fluctuates with using any pronouns! It doesn’t really care about labels and is, truthfully, just a creature. An entity if you will. He doesn’t enjoy the idea of being perceived and prefers to be a background character. Neni is what I call that stupid chibi version of him with the big ass eyes. His design is always changing cuz I’m never satisfied sighh.

She has the social, navigational, and life skills of a toddler [that is to say, she can’t really do anything right]. She’s pretty slow and clumsy, always stumbling around and losing a constant battle with the world [he is not gods strongest soldier] Also, he’s an insomniac, so I often draw him with eye bags. Neri would prefer to stay indoors and sleep until noon, but he’s got work to do and is something of a procrastinator.

One of the most important things about Nerium is that they are kind of state of like? Mental disassociation? Their mind is so fractured and split that it kind of manifests as these multiple alter egos or personalities? Typewriter/Type being one of these. I call them PersoNeris :3

Typewriter is the more serious, stoic, work oriented one and is the biggest perfectionist ever. Constant resting bitch face. A bit of an ass. I made this comparison before but he’s kinda like the Inner Critic to Nerium LOL

As for Noodle… that’s what I call the ugly tiny little doodle version of Neri. The Neri Doodle. Noodle if you will… Typewriter has a version of the Noodle called a Toodle! Their designs are meant to simple and drawn super quickly so I don’t waste time on details [Noodle specifically doesn’t have arms unless absolutely necessary, then it just appears out of thin air!]

I will say, Nerium doesn’t have much “lore” [as in, fictitious story lore] because like I said, he’s just an over exaggerated version of me. However!

[I know you probably didn’t ask but I enjoy yapping] Since maybe… four or five years I’ve been working on this original world building project called Blood Magic, and it is so dear and special to me and I could talk about the lore all day long. I’ve spent countless hours working and writing stuff for this story I’m sorry I get annoying about them. Basic rundown is that there are two gods -an author and an illustrator- called the Higherups, a council known only as the overseers, a tribe of demons and angels [typical fantasy story shtuff], a planet I dubbed Planet Nerium inhabited by humans, animals and… furries..

The two main characters are the false-protagonist/antagonist type character named Trinity -Trick- Ambrose and a furry cat protagonist named Trip Sterling. I’ve drawn and posted about Trip before! My daughter!

Blood Magic is split into two “seasons”, each with multiple acts. There’s BM: Total Anarchy and BM: The Heart Keeps Beating [TA and THKB for short]. The idea is to turn this into maybe a series of novels or some sorta indie animated series? We’ll see.

I’ll save the lore dumping for some other time, but only if yall are interested XD

On the topic of fursonas, do you have any advice for folks who are struggling to find something that fits them? I've tried for years but none of the ideas I've come up with ever really felt like "me".

I want to join in on the fun but I feel like everything I try is too cliche and impersonal or too difficult to make into an expressive, fursona-y design, and I'm sort of at a loss for what I'm missing to make it click

I did make a few follow-up additions to my original post that deal with some questions like this (I think it's all under the furry advice tag on my blog) so take a look through those first, since I'm pretty sure the earlier, less thorough versions of my post are often what gets shared around and the later additions are where I talked about the actual design process.

but as a more immediate and specific answer, I think firstly it's important to remember that there isn't really any right or wrong way to make a fursona, it's entirely personal and you don't have to worry about whether it could be seen as too "cliche" or "generic" or stuff like that compared to others (as long as you're not literally stealing someone else's existing character design outright). all that really matters is that YOU enjoy it.

secondly, a lot of the time a sona design isn't immediately going to click and you won't know if the character "fits" you until you use it a bit - try it out, doodle it a bunch doing various things and wearing different clothes and stuff, etc. it's a self-insert but it IS also (usually) a character too! only like 20-30% of the furries I know treat it like "my fursona is me and I'm them and you can refer to us interchangeably" while the rest consider it more like a personal OC that's used as a means of self-exploration. kinda like a personal mascot I guess? and like any other character, you get more attached to them as you get to know them, flesh them out, give them some depth and interests and personality quirks and stuff like that. think about their fears, think about their favorite foods, that sorta thing. they don't have to be 1:1 with your real self, so fill the gaps with stuff that feels interesting to you! as you proceed with that, you'll usually get inspiration for any changes or adjustments to the character design itself over time, and you can make those changes freely because character design is a process and it's never really set in stone (you're making this for yourself, not as a consumer product that needs a firmly established canonical design for consistent marketing lol). my fursona looked COMPLETELY different when I made her like 5+ years ago, and went through multiple awkward iterations of change within the first year or two before I settled on something that felt comfy. and I'm still changing details occasionally, even now!

So, picture this; a year ago, a young(er) Ace at their second social engagement of the day, not including work. BG3 has just been released on the xbox so they have (understandably) been abandoned by their flatmate, who fully forgot that there was a party she'd been invited to. It might actually have been after midnight but they hadn't slept yet so like. Definitely still the 9th They have decided that it is Late and they must leave this party bc there are no buses left and it's like a half hour walk back to their flat (no, the thought of a taxi didn't cross their mind. the thought of a taxi never crosses their mind) Enter @kat-writes-things, whose house party it is. She doesn't want Ace to leave but accepts (eventually) that they ought to. Laments that they no longer work together because of Circumstances. Suggests a Bit about them being high fantasy protags torn apart by the cruel world. Star Crossed Lovers are mentioned. So are swords and wings. For the bit, you understand, Ace says their goodbyes and kisses Kat's hand because it is, they announced earlier, the beginning of their slut era (it was like stupid hot in Kat's flat and I was down to my vest mkays). Kat, not to be outdone, does the same and makes Ace promise to get home safely and they'll try and see each other again soon. Ace, as is the way their brain works, starts to write a scene on the way home. Super safe <3 Unable to let the bit go, it uh. It Expands somewhat and here we are!!

I know a little bit more and have written barely any consecutive (or even finished tbh) scenes

Sorry if this is a bit long but my brain is made of sand

Under the circumstance of being transformed into one of your characters, would you rather:

- stay in the human world as it is, with all possible ramifications (the rammys)

- be transported to a world where everything is roughly the same (the same sorta people talk to you, everything important still exists), but everyone is furries and furry-specific technology exists

- be transported to like, pokemon world with humans but also pokemon, maybe anthropomorphic. Most things are very different but there is an equivalent to the people closest to you

- be transported to pokemon world without humans, only pokemon

Pokemon-only world seems like mega complicated and honestly I feel like fights in school would be way more dramatic if instead of girls pulling each other’s hair one of them had fuckin hydro pump, and the other was like an actual ghost. Though I assume when you say only pokemon you mean like mystery dungeon type very sparse “tribes” of pokemon that’s like very far from the modern world we have irl, and in that case I’m not sure if I would go so far as to wish everyone was like,, regular (albeit humanly intelligent) animals. Anthropomorphic is typically preferred.

Pokemon normal world also seems wild cuz like instead of businesses just kinda being dicks with rights and wages and shit, they would be taming legendary pokemon and monetizing the weather or time or some shit like that… or some ten year old has the power to do that. OR the pokemon that can do that is like,, anthropomorphic and a celebrity or something and that still seems very concerning. Either way though pokemon world seems frightening.

I’d be fine with either staying in the regular world or the furry regular world. Though in the furry world I’m not sure whether or not I would want to keep my memory of the old regular one, I feel like it would just make things confusing for me and me alone.

but I come from a huge therian hate phase and part of me is still stuck with bigoted beliefs-

before the wave of hate I identified as a furry but I think I'm feeling more and more like I'm otherkin or voidpunk even (I was voidpunk for a long ass time before and it feelt so nice)

I just don't know what to do with myself :( what if I'm otherkin? what terms do I use? how do I get over my hate?

hey, first of all, congrats on being able to leave your hatred behind! that must've taken some guts, im proud of you bud.

now, you are considering a new identity that you were previously taught to hate. thats amazing! but also hard. so, how to figure out if youre otherkin? the answer will vary from person to person, but for me, its a deeply ingrained part of my identity. when i started questioning myself a year ago, it was because i realised that it didnt feel good to call myself human. it didnt feel right, like i was lying to myself. i tried different species labels, to see what fit me the most, and when i found the draconic community it clicked. ive been calling myself a dragon for little over a year, and im happier than ive ever been!

if you think you may be otherkin or otherwise nonhuman, there may be a few signs that point you towards that. why did you start questioning? maybe you felt something wasnt "right" with you or your body, maybe you have instincts or urges that arent completely human, maybe you feel like you have or that you should have certain body parts that you currently dont, maybe you feel a certain connection towards a specific creature, or maybe you just... dont feel human!

i want you to take a piece of paper (or your phone if thats easier, but i feel like writing with a physical pen on a piece of paper makes your thoughts flow better), and to write down all that. make a bullet list, a little essay, a letter; hell, another ask for me would work too. make doodles on the margins when you cant think of anything else to write. draw yourself, draw the body you wish to have, draw the birds on your window or the pen youre writing with. dont worry about the correct terminology, about what nonhumanity is "supposed to feel like" or about how stupid you think this is. this is your journey, not anyone else's.

and when the feelings of hatred or cringe come up again (and they will come up), treat them like any other intrusive thought: acknowledge the feeling, validate it even if its a bit misguided, and then gently push it aside. dont get me wrong, its good to remain a bit skeptical; a critical mind is a healthy mind, after all! but theres a line between critical and hateful. one is useful, the other blinds you. i encourage you to learn as much as you can; hatred often comes from fear, which often comes from ignorance. to get over the hate you must kill that ignorance with knowledge. but dont worry, the community can help you with that!

since you asked, ill leave you some definitions under the cut if you want to take a peek. i strongly recommend you to not get caught up in terms or definitions though; figure your identity first, and then you can learn about the rest later. ill also leave a link to the alterhuman archive, in case you want to read about other peoples journeys:

Like, I was browsing R/Juggalo and someone posted selfies of themself in their face paint asking to make some wicked clown friends and the comments were filled with "Elder Juggalos" calling them a Juggaho and an attention whore and telling them to go outside. Like, y'all were a kid trying to find a community once too and now that you have it this is what you're doing to someone who was exactly like you at one point? God y'all are fucking terrible. Makes me scared to interact with anyone above the age of 25 who's a Juggalo to be honest. I'm sorry for the unnecessary dump of information I just had to put it somewhere where someone would understand.

yeah i mean. outside of tumblr i don’t really go on the internet that much, so maybe i’m not the right one to ask. but i can see why you’d be put out by interactions like that.

the ‘older vs. younger/longtime vs. new fan’ friction is something that happens in kinda every fanbase ever, if you look around. gatekeeping is a bummer, but that’s sorta just what happens when any familiar landscape starts to change, it makes people uncomfortable en they start pushing back. in the case of ICP, there’s been such a huge wave of new (and reeeeally young) juggalos lately (i think cause of tiktok and homestuck getting more popular again & stuff?), so the landscape is changing like …….. a lot. & incredibly fast.

from what i’ve seen on this blog, it seems like a really high proportion of the newer and younger fans getting into ICP are also blogging about topics like dissociative identity disorder/systems/alters, being neurodivergent, neopronouns, xenogenders, OCs, furry stuff. i’m personally all for minding my own business and letting people talk about whatever they want (especially when they’re minors, like what the fuck? leave ‘em alone), but yknow. that ‘type’ of fan is understandable really, really different from the type of fan who grew up 30 years ago. yknow? i’m a young person, i’m intersex and queer, and even i don’t really ‘get’ what a xenogender is. if i was a cishet white guy born in 1980 who only uses reddit and facebook, i’d probably be confused as shit.

not defending anyone being a gatekeepy/bigoted/sexist asshole, but it’s something to consider when you’re wondering where all the hate is stemming from (i.e., discomfort). with a ton of new, wildly different fans starting to enter an established fan community, there’s some likelihood of people getting defensive and reacting immaturely about it.

Okay so this is Galanos!! He is an anthro (not a furry shut up) albino wels catfish that cant actually talk. I'm now realising I forgot to add his voice box thingy. Whoops! Well it's unfinished I'll add it tommorow and colour him in.

Anyway so Galanos can't talk, how does he communicate? Well he has a small radio on a collar around his neck, think Steve from cloudy with a chance of meatballs, that he uses, whatever he wants to say, the radio says for him in a text-to-speech voice.

I've made some changes to how a normal wels catfish looks, such as how I've made the dorsal fin (which is usually small and far back) go along the whole length of his body, from his head to the tip of his tail. I like to imagine it kinda looks like hair? Sorta? Okay not really but I just thought he looked a bit boring without it. He's got webbed hands and feet because I thought they looked cool, lol. Also like I said, he's an albino wels catfish, I'll put some pics of what they look like underneath here, but Galanos is more of an orangey yellow colour with an almost white belly, like the first picture.

The clothes he's wearing are meant to be waders, why is a fish wearing waders you might ask? Well I just thought they looked cool 😁 Also they're based off this image \/ (why is it so low quality help)

The world he lives in is pretty Fallout-esque, being post-apocalyptic and radiation filled. Part of the reason I wanted him to be a wels catfish (apart from the fact that they're one of my favourite species of fish) is that there are actually large wels catfish living in the cooling pond at Chernobyl, which I thought was pretty cool when I found that out.

Although sorry to burst everyone's bubble but they aren't radioactive mutants, they're perfectly healthy and thriving, their large size is perfectly natural, being pretty small for some other specimens caught!!

This was what inspired me to have them live in this world, as I thought, what if he wasn't affected by radiation at all? Like a nuclear blast could go off nearby, and as long as the blast or fire didn't kill them, then he'd be perfectly fine. In fact I've been considering having radioactive particles extend his life, making it so that he can't die of old age, he could obviously still be shot and die.

One last thing before I go to sleep, that might shock some people... his parents.......

ARE ALIVE!!

That's right, he hasn't had to watch his parents die, although they never knew their biological parents. He was adopted by two very lovely mothers, one a Victorian goth, and the other more alt/ punk (I wanted to give them styles idk why)

Final little things before I go to sleep, he's objectum, bisexual, polyamourus and transmasc (just self-projecting onto him 💀) and is more of a lone wanderer, roaming around, looting abandoned buildings and corpses, the usual. He carries around a satchel to carry food, drink and useful items he finds.
