I honestly can't believe that Neil was ballsy enough to try to act like he had done all that running within the US when the guy knew he spoke French AND German. And Andrew just never questioned this????

Let’s just say, I love Pest kissing Mobby 😣☝️
It was my birthday some time back, and I wanted to make ship art for Mobby and Pest, because I ship them VERY MUCH. I think it came out looking pretty decent, I never posted because it was only last night when I finished rendering.
Some small detail I hope everyone notice is the fact Pest belt isn’t just studded, but also has that big ass spider. It is actually the design of Johnnie Gilbert’s tattoo. Idk I feel as if some of the stuff Johnnie wears would be seen on Pest.

bestie babes.
I have finally caved. after months of going back and forth I've decided to buy the first book in the aftg game series translated into spanish. because i'm convinced it will be a great way to up my vocab and its familiar enough that I won't lose my fucking mind attempting it.
It was thirty dollars
this is so on brand for the series, but at what cost. (i literally am about to lose my main income and have plans to buy merch at a concert I'm going to and yet I'm spending thirty dollars on a book) truly disgraceful on my part but ehh watcha gonna do.

I said I'd share some of the voicelines I've stumbled into, and I'm finally posting them (I'm sorry I have such a bad sense of passing time). It's actually nice to hear them without the loudspeakers' white noise.
(English, French and Mexican (for now??))
Personal favorite and easy to get; his little "two" sounds pretty cute in english.
If you're ever curious about the French one; I like it less ngl
I've never, ever heard that one before so I was a bit surprised. There's also one where he talks about his library? anyway, the way he says it is funny
How lovely!!
AND THE MEXICAN JINDOSH HAS MY HEART. I SWEAR
I'm going full cringe when I hear him because???
SIR
don't do that to me i'm not strong enough
Bonus point: tone used when Corvo or Emily is hurt
English ; and I need you all to realize his tone is so different and it makes me go ifjedoswjfjksfkwsjfsjowdjf
Thanks god it's only 10 audios per post on tumblr else I would have rant even more about it tho

How do accents work in SMPs? Because I'll read fanfictions where it's like, "He spoke with a distinctly British accent," or "Her words sounded vaguely German," or even fanfics where another character starts speaking in a different language and they're saying things like 'Chiquito' or 'Me como caca', that kind of stuff, but it's like. This is Last Life. Or Quesadilla Island. Or L'Manberg. Britain and Germany and Spain don't exist in these worlds?? Your cubito busts out Dutch pleasantries which implies the existence of the Netherlands and it's like. Is L'Manberg just some random island in the middle of the Pacific that nobody is touching with a ten foot pole or...?
Don't think about it too hard, though it's kind of funny to imagine these people are fighting for their lives and the lives of the people they love and somewhere out there there's just. Spain. Having elections or promoting tourism or trying to keep people from peeing in its oceans or something. I just find it kind of fun to think about.

protag went into his mind palace to try to argue that his brother's death was murder and in his mind palace there are representations of the people he's arguing with acted out by himself, and i think it's really neat. They're english policemen so they normally voiced in english, but for this the va is acting as them and talking in chinese. the way he shifts his voices between them is fun. i love voice acting.

To the people who want to learn a language because of their favorite media but feel like it's a stupid reason, just go for it! Learning a language is a fun and useful skill that can come in handy when you least expect it, especially if you live in a diverse area.
Not to mention it can help you understand the media you're consuming on a deeper level. Interacting with the fanbase from that culture can help contextualize choices made in your favorite anime, video game, or kpop song.
Why did this japanese game portray europe like this? What problems in korea is this kpop song about? What is this festival in my favorite anime about?
What are the translations missing? What has been localized and why?
It's so incredibly rewarding to be able to understand different perspectives from different cultures. It's amazing to be able to communicate with people different from you. Learn whatever language your little heart desires. Go forth.

An old what now..?
__________________
“¡¿Él hizo qué?! ¡¿Este idiota hizo qué?!”
Is what Tom heard from the redhead before things took a turn. He wasn’t even paying attention until Sam started going off while speaking in words he doesn’t understand.
“¡¿Que estabas pensando, Meterme con los no-muertos?! ¡¿De verdad?!” Every word he says it gets more confusing, more concerning and…
It’s scary. Very scary… but intriguing, especially when Travis backs into the old couch. Said boy becoming more and more scared of the redhead.
“¡¡Eres un idiota estúpido, un humano sin cerebro, un maldito pedazo de mierda inculto!! ¡¡Nunca deberías meterte con los muertos alguna vez en tu vida!! Follando…” sam trailed off. Taking a deep breath, then sighed.
“I Really need some space.” He spoke, normally this time before storming off to the well. Leaving all 6 to their thoughts about the situation.
“Alright, I bite… tHE ACTUAL HELL!! Was that?!” Tim asked, sounding confused. “I don’t know, but my heart’s pounding.” Tom told him, clutching his torn tie. “… you don’t have a heart beat.” He reminded him. “Exactly.” He said.
“Travis? Benny? You ok??” Lilian asked, said both boys looked shocked beyond their words. “… is Sam possessed?” Benny asked, bringing out his cross.
“N-no, he’s jUsT-.. just mad.” Travis said, shaking still as he stood up from the couch. “You sure you’re shaking.” Caleb pointed out, watching the teen’s legs.
“I-I’ll be fine, just note. Never piss off a Latino.” He says, rubbing the back of his neck in an awkward manner. “… a what now?!” Tim asked.
“Latino, a guy who speaks Spanish, I-it’s a language English speakers don’t understand.” Travis told them, hoping it makes sense to the ghost kids of the 1920’s.
“Are you sure he isn’t possessed?” Benny asked. “… how can Sam get possessed?!” Travis asked, annoyed at Benny’s assumption with what happened. “You’d be surprised.” “HE’S ALREADY DEAD!”
Travis yelled. A bit later it started a huge fight between the four siblings and Travis. Tom looked away from the scene, towards where Sam went. Nervously contemplating.
On one hand he wanted to leave, look for the redhead and get answers as to what made Sam go ‘Latino’ on Travis… on the other hand he didn’t want to intrude… but the fighting and curiosity was making him chose the first, but he doesn’t want to upset Sam any further…
With how loud the five are and with no choice he limped towards the well, leaving his siblings and Travis to fight about their opinions on the redhead.
‘I hope he’s not too angry… like how she was.’

To be fair, I wanted to continue what I’ve left off with old language habits…
Except in 3rd p.o.v… originally I wanted to put it as Tom’s p.o.v cause in canon he has his troubles with trying to communicate because his neck is broken.
Plus, who better to partially understand yet don’t have a clue about the situation at the same time then Tom weaver, why?
… because I want to.

Re:Kinder Fun fact time!! Did you know? 😊
Yuuichi's theme song (the one that often accompanies his entrances with "Vamos Cantar!"), 新しい夏のナナ, is not in any latin language such as Spanish or Portuguese, despite its lyrics sounding as such. It's actually in Hanamogera, which to put it simply is nonsense speech based on japanese syllables. So the song's lyrics are essentially gibberish meant to imitate the sound of latin music! 😊
It is listed as such in the source site for the song, oo39.com, where the song can be found as "YS068" in the hanamogera category.
Additional fun fact! The song can also be found in Spotify as Vien Nana by Oo39.com themselves alongside a few other select songs from the site. So you can properly enjoy the song on the platform without having to import it from your local files.
Those are the fun Re:Kinder related fun facts for today... Use them to entertain your friends at parties ! ☺️
#re:kinder#not art#now tiny storytime in the tags!!! 😊...#what prompted me to look into this months ago was the fact i genuinely thought it was in spanish at first#AS A SPANISH NATIVE SPEAKER. I HEARD THIS SONG VAGUELY AND WAS LIKE... WOW... i wonder what it says!#because i thought i didnt understand it as i was mostly paying attention to the text or because of my computer's speaker#plugged headphones in and heard carefully... i didnt understand anything. but it sounded just like it i was so confused#for a second i wondered if it was portuguese but there was no way it was because even then i would have known😭#the magic of knowing either language of spanish (at least latin spanish) and portuguese is it makes the other very recognizable#this was not it looked for the opinions of other latin speaking language people THEY DID NOT UNDERSTAND A THING#and thats how i ended up looking into the source and finding this out 😊#i was very pleasantly surprised to see it was gibberish because IM NOT SURE HOW TO EXPRESS TO YOU ITS VERY GOOD#VERY WELL DONE GIBBERISH SO WELL DONE IT MAKES A PROPER SENTENCE AT ONE POINT#gibberish so well done it fooled native speakers into thinking it was their own languages . so good im so obsessed with this#i had to share this fun fact eventually somrwhere other than yourjbe comments#and i remembered i could acrually speak here about the game and not only post art of it teehee😊#so thats your awesome fun fact micht also drop more if im confident in doing so and their validity because theres more tbat are in japanese#and im trying to figure em out watch as i study the inner workings of a language so i dont have to learn how to actually speak it#(i love conlangs so this is a good excuse)
