You've been invited to a Super Smash Bros tournament by these two. Will you accept?
@tmntstorycomp
“Smash bros?” One repeated, his eyes narrowing suspiciously at the two turtle mutants before him. They seemed excited to be making the offer, smirking as they held the sealed invitation out to him. He stood a little taller, and his tail whipped behind him agitatedly, knocking into the ankles of his brothers as they gathered protectively behind him. Despite their formation, though, he could practically feel the curiosity rolling off of them.
“Want to explain that one to us?” Three asked, and One chanced a quick glance over his shoulder towards him. He was grinning, head tipped, arms crossed loose and easy over his chest. His hands were balled into tight fists, though, and there was a tick in the muscles of his jaw that told One all he needed to know about how much he trusted these two strangers.
“It’s a game,” the turtle mutant in blue said, and the fabric of his mask creased as he frowned. “May the best turtle win, and blah blah blah.”
“Will we have to fight?” Four asked, and One let out a soft oof as he felt the youngest of his brothers leap easily onto his shell to peak over his shoulder at them. “We don’t have anything to use as bandages. Draxum is usually the one who gives those to us after we fight!”
Oh, now they both looked concerned.
“Uh, no. No physical fighting. It’s just video games.”
“Oohhhh,” Four hummed, head bobbing like he understood even though One knew well and good that he had no idea what those were any more than One himself did.
Two and Three, on the other hand, immediately perked up.
“I’ll take any chance I get to prove my technological prowess!” Two declared, and Three snorted at his showboating. The turtle in blue made a weirdly similar sound.
“It’s really not that deep,” he said with a grin and a shrug, but he still seemed happy to lead them to where the tournament would be taking place.

I thought ghost was just being fussy last time about the particular treats I tried to give her as a reward while on walks, but I tried just kibble this time and she still completely refused it, even when she was obviously interested. So i think she just doesn't like eating while out of the house

Alright so I just watched this youtube video where they pointed out how Rusty has a strong connection to the supernatural, such as in Duncan gets spooked, and the episode with the boulder. And in calling all engines, he was seen in a dream sequence with lady.
Based on this, I headcanon that Rusty is actually a train version of a guardian angel. In my headcanon, each railroad has a guardian angel sent to watch over the engines. With the Sodor narrow gauge, they have rusty but no one knows that he is a guardian angel chosen by Lady. He was the only engine who knew that boulder was going to fall from the cliff and wanted to make sure that the engines he was sent to watch over were safe. The story about the ghost engine that fell was actually a cautionary tale that backfired. But the ghost engine did exist but died under Rusty’s protection.
I noticed while studying religions, (I love studying religions, I find it so fascinating to learn what others believe in and the stories and traditions that come with it, and how they help shape history. I want to learn everything that I can about it.) there’s usually a guardian archetype, so it would make sense if we’re using my headcanons that Diesel 10 and Lady represent the deities of life and death, there would be a guardian angel type character.
Also with the presence of Christianity on the island with the clergy men making an appearance, it would make sense if the engines’ beliefs lean more into Christianity.
