If you’ve ever dramatically underestimated how much time and energy it takes to learn a new language — especially one with a whole new alphabet and structure — you’re not alone.
Hebrew isn’t just “another language”.
It’s layered, meaningful, ancient, vibrant… and sometimes, completely confusing.
It’s not just the words.
It’s knowing its patterns and templates.
It’s understanding how to actually use them.
It’s second-guessing everything because no two sources say the same thing.
It’s wondering if you’re making progress — or just collecting random vocabulary.
And it’s exhausting trying to piece it all together on your own.
If these scenarios felt a little too real… you're in good company.
👇 Tell me which one hit hardest. I promise, you're not the only one 💙

Book Review #4 - Atomic Habits
🕯📚📜🍂🎧 Many of us want to be better. We want to enjoy the finer things in life. We want to uncover our full potential. Yet, we often quit our efforts to attain these desires. Either that, or we do not know how to continuously make improvements to them in order to fully maximize our abilities. Is there any cure to this seemingly endless loop of making ambitious plans to just to fail at them? While there is no guaranteed solution, this book by James Clear offers evidence-based strategies to harness the power of habits to achieve your goals. In a 319-page journey, the author takes us on a step-by-step journey explaining the anatomy of a habit and how to use it to follow good practices while avoiding those that hinder our progress. This is done using many every-day examples and references to popular culture in order to leave readers with actionable take-aways from the knowledge gained in each chapter.
This book is well-organized into parts and chapters that lead smoothly from start to end, and this reinforced the understanding of how each component of a habit can be taken advantage of to our needs. The wide variety of analogies, histories and studies show how the concepts taught in the book can be applied flexibly, making them a relevant read for those serious about improving themselves. Many interesting ideas were broken down into palatable definitions supported by simple situations that they could be used in. The author using his personal experiences to explain the relevance of his content also made the book more credible, since he had some honest insights that showed the realistic side of habit-building. It was also nice to see the use of visual aids and exercises to solidify readers’ understanding. Still, I feel that there was content overload at times and some repetition (perhaps intentional, given the nature of the book?). It also felt like there were too many examples in some chapters.
I think anyone interested in habit building towards a healthy life transformation should definitely try this book. The guidance is great if you are trying to get your basics right without feeling guilty — something that is super important in self-improvement. I also think that athletes will be inspired by this book as there are many points relevant to their improvement. You can read this book in one sitting (5-6 hours) or choose to go part by part — there are ways to apply its content whichever way you choose to do so. Enjoy reading this book :)
Rating: 3.5/5
Edition: Paperback, Avery, 2018
Target audience: Anybody interested in self-improvement through habits

what if we held on to whatever we get the idea of as Normal as unquestionable & think all you can do to this normal is apply some veneers overtop it to be more polite & also resent that. maybe we could project that everyone who seems to be Annoyingly Disruptively doing more than this must be putting on a performance to look good &/or humor others b/c that's all we ever believe we're doing, & again, we resent even that much....maybe we could use our show of More Polite language to make the same points blaming everyone who our Normal mistreats for their own mistreatment
#perhaps we could lecture autistic people on their; ah; Lacking Social Skills or Intelligence. it's just matter of fact#completely neutral what Annoys those who do well enough when thrown into any group settings; completely neutral how they React#like yeah can't possibly take issue w/anything Acceptable to Encouraged in the realm of even ''successful'' ''normal'' social interactions#infinite ''smh this is why nobody takes ableism seriously'' like oh you mean b/c of the ableism? is why you don't take it seriously?#infinite ways of phrasing that everyone alleged so Annoying With It is just like you but someone actively Putting On An Act too much#all it can possibly be. just as someone's Anti Ableism would be knowingly ''humoring'' / ''tolerating'' an autistic person e.g.#ah you see to this Person Who Identifies As Nonbinary's face i will try to mostly use Their Preferred Pronouns. that's that done#but it's sooo annoying. what's next; multiple &/or changing pronouns? god even worse. so Inflicted Upon my correct norm#if i'm not feeling actively malicious & devious in how i treat someone i am surely as righteous as it gets#having to improve on perfection by occasionally feeling Put Upon to perform politeness around some individuals? ughhh#that's why it's actually illegitimate. shouldn't have to be Put Upon like that. (finding the norm Questionable? out of the question Lol)#shocked ppl report that casual usage of the r word is having a revival. by shocked i mean [already clear ppl didn't care abt that]#& again just the current ''polite'' rephrasing of ableism like oh um :) disabled ppl are just a Specific kind of unintelligent & unskilled#& unprofessional & incompetent & a harmful scourge :) & maybe if they learned to be otherwise they wouldn't be punished :)#just formalized ABA vs the less formalized ABA huh. & the [the Real ableism] it ostensibly is to be saying all this i'm sure#something something not a real ally if they encourage behavior that will Make other ppl treat you badly. helpless neurotypicality :(#just as the ppl saying ableism is baked into terms & phrases used casually well beyond the [bad but lol guess not That Bad r word]#were definitely the ones Advancing Ableism by annoyingly overdoing the Polite Veneer you imagine they were Demanding#(rather than a more thorough questioning of language & accepted ''norms'' in pointing out the logics in their usage / basis)#simultaneously as being too much to ask it was also always so Frivolous as to not be worth the apparently infinitesimal effort#hmm guess we'll never solve the contradictions there....#not even with the ''openly saying 'see? i don't take ableism seriously & now it's Your Fault b/c i saw this & scoffed at it''' clues#& a final shoutout to the classic ''it's called being Realistic'' language in this & wherever else relevantly applied lol. we could go on

What Are the Qualifications for a Data Scientist?
In today's data-driven world, the role of a data scientist has become one of the most coveted career paths. With businesses relying on data for decision-making, understanding customer behavior, and improving products, the demand for skilled professionals who can analyze, interpret, and extract value from data is at an all-time high. If you're wondering what qualifications are needed to become a successful data scientist, how DataCouncil can help you get there, and why a data science course in Pune is a great option, this blog has the answers.
The Key Qualifications for a Data Scientist
To succeed as a data scientist, a mix of technical skills, education, and hands-on experience is essential. Here are the core qualifications required:
1. Educational Background
A strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, or computer science is typically expected. Most data scientists hold at least a bachelor’s degree in one of these fields, with many pursuing higher education such as a master's or a Ph.D. A data science course in Pune with DataCouncil can bridge this gap, offering the academic and practical knowledge required for a strong start in the industry.
2. Proficiency in Programming Languages

DataCouncil's data science course in Pune includes practical training in tools like Pandas and Numpy for effective data wrangling, helping you develop a strong skill set in this critical area.
5. Statistical Knowledge
Statistical analysis forms the backbone of data science. Knowledge of probability, hypothesis testing, and statistical modeling allows data scientists to draw meaningful insights from data. A structured data science course in Pune offers the theoretical and practical aspects of statistics required to excel.
6. Communication and Data Visualization Skills
Being able to explain your findings in a clear and concise manner is crucial. Data scientists often need to communicate with non-technical stakeholders, making tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Matplotlib essential for creating insightful visualizations. DataCouncil’s data science course in Pune includes modules on data visualization, which can help you present data in a way that’s easy to understand.
7. Domain Knowledge
Apart from technical skills, understanding the industry you work in is a major asset. Whether it’s healthcare, finance, or e-commerce, knowing how data applies within your industry will set you apart from the competition. DataCouncil's data science course in Pune is designed to offer case studies from multiple industries, helping students gain domain-specific insights.

Learning to speak Hebrew can feel like you're swimming against the current.
But it shouldn't feel that way.
You might find yourself scrambling to figure out what to learn next, spending too much time piecing together free resources, only to end up confused and frustrated.
Without a proven path, it’s natural to feel lost and overwhelmed, questioning your ability to ever truly get the language.
It's not an indication of your potential, but of the path you are taking.
One of the biggest mistakes is thinking you can save money by doing it all on your own.
But the reality is, you end up wasting far more of your precious time, energy, and even money on ineffective methods and irrelevant content.
Not having a supportive teacher to answer your questions and provide you feedback can leave you in a constant state of uncertainty about your progress.
Learning from an app or program that focuses on Hebrew that doesn’t apply to your daily life or interests means you’re not getting the practical use out of your efforts.
This leads to memorizing phrases you'll never actually need, preventing your confidence from growing.
And when you don't pivot from paths that are not working for you, you end up doubting your ability to ever get the language.
Imagine instead having a proven path laid out for you, where each step builds upon the last, creating a solid foundation in Hebrew.
Picture having access to structured content that focuses on the Hebrew you'll actually use, and knowing exactly what to focus on next.
With this clarity, learning becomes not just easier and faster, but so rewarding!
Think about how different it would feel to have consistent feedback on your progress, knowing that every effort you make is paying off - instantly!
Imagine having the clarity and confidence you've been dreaming of.
You’re not just learning Hebrew; you’re experiencing it, integrating it into your life seamlessly.
By avoiding these common mistakes, you can transform your learning experience, save valuable time, and thrive in Hebrew.
You deserve to feel confident, supported, and successful in your Hebrew learning journey.
Choose a proven path and watch your abilities soar 💪💙

#i love to see immigrants from central or latin american countries who came here legally - worked their asses off - became a citizen#and now are paying it forward by voting to make sure this country that blessed them wont be turned into the shit holes they left#my pride swells seeing that shit#the strength of character and integrity it takes to come here with nothing - learn the language from scratch - assimilate to its culture#better yourself - all without acting entitled or like the world owes you something - becoming a success#and not turning around and trying to fuck over that same country#my family did it and i love seeing stories of other people who did as well

The Generalist Mindset: Why It’s Better to Be “Good Enough” at Everything
In a world that constantly pushes for specialization, being a generalist—a “jack of all trades”—can sometimes feel like swimming against the current. That old saying, “jack of all trades, master of none,” often gets thrown around as a warning against spreading yourself too thin. But people forget the full expression: “jack of all trades, master of none, but better than a master of one.” And that…

So for the first three years I had at my knock off Montessori elementary/middle school–where classes were divided into first and second grades; third, fourth, and fifth grades; and sixth, seventh, and eighth grades and yes this was an educational clusterfuck my high school teachers took glee in pointing out in front of all the other students–we had a Japanese language program, and because of my town's main university having rich history of enrolling both Japanese-American students and Japanese from abroad students (ask me about that history, it's a nice story) we had no shortage of Japanese-speaking college students looking to make some extra cash. So for a few years I was speaking Japanese fairly decently, but the school system slashed our funding and I didn't/couldn't keep up with it independently so now I can barely count to ten.
Anyway this is not about that, it's about how after a year of successfully learning basic Japanese, I'm in the first day of second grade sitting on the floor with the rest of the first and second graders in my class because we were still young and flexible enough to sit crisscross applesauce, when our Japanese teacher from last year surprised us, after we had been told she was going back to Japan and we'd have a new teacher this year. So us second graders immediately stand, bow, and happily chorused "Konnichiwa, Emi-sensai!" and the first graders looked so fucking freaked out lol. I don't know if they even knew Japan was a place yet, let alone had their own language. Or maybe they were panicking because they thought they were supposed to stand, bow, and say something seemingly strange too idk. I had a new friend I had just made tugging on my pantleg looking at me nervously because I and half the class seemingly turned into robots with a signal in our brains only we second graders could detect. That memory popped into my head and made me laugh just now
#wonder where I'd be language wise if our school system hadn't obliterated our funding#i took German in high school to fair success but those brain muscles have also atrophied#and i fear my brain is too rigid to learn French an ASL now#sigh
