hello everyone!

my name is taylor/elliott (depending on where you know me from), i use she/her pronouns, and am twenty years old. after ten years of being on that website, i'm a quotev refugee looking for another community to be a part of. this is an account that will be used for my musings and many other subjects related to writing and roleplaying, i may even post short stories every now and then. my main account outside of this one is @taylorwithluvs, where i usually post gifs for my interests whenever i have time.

i'm a full-time college student who's currently looking for a job, so activity will likely be sparse. i try to put my studies first without getting distracted even though it's hard for me to do so. however, this will not stop me entirely from replying to anyone even if it takes me a few days to do so.

my interests regarding roleplay include: indie, horror, supernatural, fantasy, steampunk, bioshock, superheroes, pjo, lotr, and self-created universes! i rarely ever roleplay as canon characters, but i may do that sometimes!

ive had a Lot of thoughts about the body horror aspects of jack but the one that sticks with me the absolute most is his blood. like when sam banishes the angels from the holding cell in 13x01. ack’s veins light up gold. his blood is physically being burned from the sigil’s banishing effects and it actually causes pain to jack.

or nick’s resurrection ritual from game night that needed jacks own blood as an ingredient—and the implication alone that any of jack’s genetic components can bring Lucifer back—when he sets a nosebleed stain of it on fire several miles away, jack can physically feel it burning in his veins again.

when jack is constantly puking blood and bleeding from his nose it’s a result of total systemic failure that he’s suffering specifically because the very cells that make up his whole body are falling apart and destroying each other, because he is something that physically should not exist.

the fact that he physically and genetically cannot be normal or separated from his other half, that any sort of ritual or magic against angels causes him physical pain, that he will always at his core be tied back to Lucifer no matter how independent he tries or wants to be, that he can’t even survive without the very part of him that is essentially seen/treated as a dormant evil rabies infection, is an Insane thing to add to a character.

Two days ago I remembered Krabat existed and now I remember how this book had me hooked as a teen in school. The story just sucks you in and I remember being amazed, enchanted and horrified at the same time. I'm amazed that a book like this exists. The analysis options are seemingly endless. There's so much symbolism to umpack. And Wikipedia said Otfried Preußler was processing his time in the Hitler Youth in Krabat and every word I'm thinking how and where? Like what does the magic stand for? What is Lyschko's role and meaning as a snitch ? What's with the war against sweden? Also it's only men in this story and I'm thinking about how that is also important somehow? It's almost like a fraternity kind of situation, with all the rituals involved and I never thought about this but working in manual labor kinda does this to you? Also the dualism between women only communities and men only communities and the dualism between christianity and black magic? Also thinking about work and work communities, the themes of fair work conditions, but also how working closely together can give you a sense of belonging...also the benefits and detriments of strict hierarchy in work communities/organizations. As a person who worked in a kitchen as an apprentice in the hundreds year old german apprenticeship system I appreciate the vague villinification of the boss and the weird emotional dynamics at play. Also how his trauma with the death of his friend resulted in pain and suffering for his apprentices? This book can be interpreted in a socialist way and in a non socialist way, it has so much to say about morals, culture, colonialism, society etc. It has so much to say about emotions, relationship and life, how to handle emotions as a man in a men only setting and how NOT to. It's just not brainy at all you just kinda get it? And it's literally just the german Harry Potter??? And I don't understand why just because of it's simple writing we only read it once in seventh grade and not later because the analysis options are fruitful and endless. I'm literally so impressed by the depth and sheer viceral quality of this book.

witches & occult: films that feature witches or cults tend to play on the tropes that have been given to the characters long ago in history. some movies depict a hierarchy with other lesser magical beings, but the goal of the cults and witches tends to be the same—serve a higher being.

examples: the craft, the witch, silent hill

supernatural power: supernatural powers in horror often feature a teenager or child that has inexplicable powers that they cannot control. often, this leads to a lot of terrible events happening before the character can hone their ability. the final scene often involves the character taking their rage out on those who shunned or manipulated them throughout the movie.

Everything Has A Memory

Another story that was put on the back burner for a while. Here is the description. I have a few chapters written so far that I could post, but I want to see whoever is interested. The main character is Ace and gender-neutral.

"Everything has a memory. History can be seen through every mark and feature. I see, experience, encounter what causes something to be particular... But I also hold the ability to change said memory." While they cannot completely change the past with this abnormality, the strangeness of their power interest many and draws those with intentions close. Power, change, knowledge, curiosity- all of which are reasons people were drawn to them. Always wanted for something. Never given the chance to live, to breathe normally with no fear. All they want is to feel secure and not worry about the empty space, suffocation, and pain. Relaxation is foreign to them, even the memories aren't safe. Nowhere is without danger and fear, not even their thoughts.

I Wrote the first chapter over a year ago..

I will try to put in triggers per chapter... but the story is a trigger within itself haha..

Triggering topics that will be prevalent throughout the story: Vomiting, Nausea, Blood, Needles, IVs, hospital setting, lab setting, abuse, etc etc.
