I can’t recommend the game Persona 4 highly ENOUGH ig, but as someone who also loves bears and silly little Guys, I know you would dig the game and a specific character a lot.

Unfortunately it’s kinda one of those games a la DR where you can’t look up absolutely ANYTHING because everything is a spoiler and every character has an arc, but in summary it follows the player character and his ragtag friend group over the course of a year in high school, and a bunch of bizarre supernatural murders start taking place in town, and you and your friends set about solving what’s going on and working towards putting an end to it, with the help of new friends and your own supernatural powers along the way.

There’s also multiple romance routes if you decide you wanna date, and the whole game is very very good and has a lot of heartfelt moments

I'm in the middle of Act 2 and here's my opinion of all the companions so far.

Lae'zel: I didn't like her at all first, but then she told me she loved how I stink and I realized she's just an angry little guy. She's so pissed at all times and I like how she hisses at me. Girl you are fucked up. 10/10, will romance her at some point.

Shadowheart: Ngl she was a little bland but very easy to get approval with so she was my bestie early on. Now that she's revealed her religious trauma I think she's a poor little meow meow. She should be a tumblr sexyman. 10/10, will romance her at some point.

Astarion: Went in hating his ass thinking he was overhyped. Got brainwashed quickly by the horny voice and the laugh lines. Hated him again when he kept being a little bitch. Hugged him oh so tenderly. He likes it when I tell people to kill themselves. 10/10, will romance him again.

Gale: Was considering romancing him until the ex reveal. Big turnoff for insecure bitches (me). Act 2 started and I got interested again because of the angst. He's funny and his dialogue is the best written/wittiest out of all the companions. Accidentally led him on. 10/10, will romance him at some point.

Wyll: Thought he was a bit bland at first ngl. Very standard backstory. Probably the best-looking companion out of all of them. Got extremely easy approval with him despite not bringing him around often. Then I realized he's charmingly silly but deeply genuine with his heroic aspirations. 10/10, wyll romance him at some point.

Karlach: Best girl, no contest. Loved her from the start. Big, fun, funny, good heart, and boy she can do a LOT of damage on the battlefield. Absolutely waifu material. Touchstarved and gorgeous? I'm straight but she could get it type shit. I want her to split me in half with a single pelvic thrust. 10/10, will romance her at some point.

Halsin: Liked him from the start. He's fucking massive. My Tav looked at him with lovesick puppy eyes in every early custcene so I was considering romancing him in the beginning, but he's way too nice for them lmao. No notes, he's literally just a giant teddy bear of a man and I love him. 10/10, will romance him at some point.

All in all it's pretty impressive how Larian got jackpot on all of these little freaks. I can't say I dislike any of them.

You never knew he could be like this. You come to think of boyfriend as a big teddy bear with just a touch of being strangely gentle with you. A lot of guys are annoyed at someone like you - at your empty head, at your somewhat dumb demeanor and the way you act, so you come to expect this from relationships. People liked you before you opened your mouth for anything other than sucking dick...but Konig was different. Weirdly patient and quiet, always sure to give you space for your thoughts, however stupid they can be. The only time he ever raised his voice with you was positive - when he was laughing or yelling at the videogame he was playing. When he sometimes forgot that there is another human in his house and yelped in surprise with a tone so high, you were genuinely surprised. He is always making a point of being smaller with you - even though you don't like it, asking him every time to stop hunching over and forcing himself to walk on eggshells around you, it was useless with him. He wanted you to feel safe around him, to trust him - you're his perfect pretty girl and there is nothing he wants more than to make you laugh. So, cue your shock when you come to base(rare occasion of his team not being deployed immediately, spending too much time on training and preparation in the headquarters) to deliver his lunch. You got really into making bento boxes lately - more because it took up free time you had too much of since you quit your job to be a full time girlfriend, and also because Konig bought you an adorable 15 piece pink bento set with everything needed - from utensils with rabbit figures to sandwich cut-outs. You step into the base, the giant box - Konig eats a lot and you like to cook for him - in your hands. Recruits weirdly avoid you like a plague. And then you see him. You knew mercenary companies are tough. But seeing your boyfriend, your cute, adorable goofbear who never as much as raised his voice with you once, yelling at some poor guy about his future inevitable death in some abandoned trench because he is just so fucking stupid and...you stopped listening, the lengths Konig went to scream at the recruits for being stupid made you reconsider every time he called you dumb playfully. Every time he called you his little bimbo, his stupid girl who needs his guidance to do anything...you knew he liked it - but now you're not so sure. Needless to say, once Konig sees you standing in the doors of training facility, hands shaking as you grasp your silly bento box...he will have to apologise for a week. Immediately leading you out of the base, to some recreational area where he can hold your hands and push his face on your lap so you could play with his hood as you like. Making sure you're calm and relaxed before returning to the recruits - he can't promise you he won't be cruel to them, this is part of their training, but he will try his best to always be nice to you.

#3 KIRYU: look me in the eyes and tell me this guys isn't the wolf in sheep's clothing. pulls you in for some cute and sweet kisses and suddenly his hand is on your chest just squeezing a boob. his only response to your surprise is a shrug of his shoulders and teasing smirk playing on his lips before he reconnects them with yours. just a big tease disguised as a cute little angel. just like kaji he ends up giving you hickeys – in the most conspicuous places and he has the audacity to smile at you innocently when you glare at him through a mirror while you attempt to cover them up.

#2 SUO: gentleman in the streets but a beast in the sheets. i believe he can be really intense once he gets more comfortable so he doesn't have to be so in control of his feelings but can let loose a bit. i can see a scenario of him being worn out from solving a lot of issues around the town and just coming to you with “can i kiss you?” like the gentleman he is but when you would naively think sure lemme give you a peck, instead he just puts his hands either side of your face and pulls you in for a deep and messy kiss that has you holding on to his shoulders for a dear life. afterwards he leaves you with a smile and kiss on the cheek like he didn't just make your legs feel like jello from a simple kiss.

“Hi,” he says.

The hints of green in his irises are more pronounced when he’s sitting in the sun like this, rays cutting in through the window, turning his pale skin slightly tanned and his hair a warmer chestnut colour that curls behind his ears. The scar on his lip relaxes as his joking smile fades to a proper one, a lovey-dovey type that melts you. It’s nice to be looked at so nicely, like just the sight of you inspires happiness. 

You shift off of your legs, deciding you might as well lay flat with your head in his lap instead. He lets you sink down. His hand takes up station near your cheek, the back of his curled fingers brushing the skin just shy of your eye. 

“This is nice,” he whispers. 

“I have to say sorry,” you whisper back, drawing shapes into his t-shirt, the soft muscle of his stomach pillowy to poke. 

Remus nods emphatically. “Yes, you didn’t come and see me as soon as you woke up. I heard you on your phone in bed. That’s not very nice, is it, depriving me of your company?” 

You shake your head into his thigh, a slow, guilty movement. “No, about last night.” 

“What about last night?” 

Last night, Remus had given you a very slow kiss. He’d been half asleep and you’d been more so, but it was a lovely kiss and his hand had been rubbing sweet half circles into your hip, but it still made you feel awful when he asked if he could touch you and you’d told him you were too tired, even if he didn’t mind. He’d just kissed your cheek and snuggled into you like a life-sized teddy bear. He never takes your rejection as an insult. 

“You… you wanted to fuck and I didn’t, I’m sorry. I feel like every time you ask lately I say no.”

Remus taps your nose with his and leans in again. “I know you’re not. You aren’t one either. Sex is just another fun thing to do, okay? If you don’t want to, that shouldn’t bother me, and it doesn’t. I promise.” 

You curl your arms around his neck. He lifts his head, subsequently lifting you as he moves, his arm curling behind your back for a hug. 

“Sometimes I want more of you than you want to give,” he says, “but it’s just because I love you, not because I need it. Don’t be silly, dove. Don’t say sorry.” 

He presses the heel of his palm to your back and begins the heavy pressure of a back rub. You won’t say sorry if he doesn’t want you to. You shouldn’t anyways. But he’s your boyfriend and you love him, so his being accepting of it is a relief. 

Like he can read your mind, he says, “You never have to say sorry for this.” 

“I know.” You lift your chin. “Kiss?”

You catch his face in your hands and push him away gently. It’s so hot in here you can’t breathe, and you’re not in the mood for any further action. It’s funny. “You want me to be honest?” 

You’re not sure. “Yeah. Please be honest.” 

“Sometimes we kiss and you know I want you,” his eyes dart down, prompting a surprised laugh from you, and an easy chuckle from him in return, “and it’s frustrating, but it’s not ‘cos of you. I can go shower and sort myself out and it’s not the same as being with you, but it’s not your fault. It’s just a reaction.” 

“But I feel bad for making you deal with it yourself.” 

“What are you supposed to do? You can’t force yourself if you’re not in the mood. That’s the last thing I want you to do. I’d rather have it fall off.”

He presses his cheek to your chest in want of your hand.

“Did you lock the door?” 

Sirius hums.

“I did,” he says, waving your hand gently where he’s holding it between you both. You lay straight in bed with the duvet up to your chests and the TV playing one of his favourite movies. 

“Okay. Did you take your medication?” 

“Yeah, sweetheart. Everything’s done. You can relax.” 

You pick your book up and open it to the first page. You’ve been meaning to read this one for a while, you’re happy to get the time, but you’re feeling queasy about something. 

Sirius is a loud guy. He loves the glitz and glamour of life, he likes to go out, play fast and hard, he’s electric most of the time. He can be quiet, too, like you tend to be, but you’re worried that you’re another night closer to him deciding he’s bored. It’s been weeks since you went anywhere, and you haven’t fucked in almost as long. 

“Can I have this?” he asks, pulling your hand to his lips. 

You smile as he kisses your knuckles, barely there presses of his lips to your skin that linger.

Karlach is immediately in love with this precious little nugget but she’s also terrified of somehow hurting them. The baby is so tiny! What if she cuddles them too hard? What if she drops them?! She also shares her teddy bear with the baby and makes it pretend to talk to them in a silly voice.

Lae’zel was never supposed to be a parent, just because of how gith society and reproduction works, but now she’s got a baby under her care, and she’s both very unsure of what to do and fiercely protective of them. She deals with the anxiety by staying busy. Go get firewood to keep baby warm. Go hunting to get food for baby. Pulverize food so it’s nice and soft for baby. Do tasks for baby!

Gale 100% talks to the baby like they’re an adult. He’s literally this guy. He’s also very invested in the baby’s education and loves to read to them. It’s good for their little minds to be read to! Also Gale’s reading is one of the most effective ways to get the baby to sleep.

Astarion complained about them taking the egg in the first place, and is very unsure about having a baby in their party, but, well….their tiny toes are rather cute. He’ll talk about how they should dump it at the first village they come across, but he softens up embarrassingly fast. He also goes through the party’s supply of old clothes and repurposes them to make baby clothes. Can’t let the little thing stay naked, can we?

Wyll loves kids, and he loves the baby. He’s a bit of a baby hog and loves to scoop them up and bounce them on his shoulder while telling stories about his adventures. He’s also really good at figuring out their different cries. He knows a hungry cry from a tired cry from a needing a diaper change cry.

Shadowheart was also not a huge fan initially of the gang caring for a baby, but if no one’s looking she’ll make faces at the baby to get them to smile. She’s so proud of herself when she manages to make them laugh.
