Ten Years of Cinnamon Roll Too Good For This World, Too Pure.
Well, how about that. Ten whole years. A decade. The Tin Anniversary.
The Tin Anniversary is rather fitting, as it happens, as a tin is just the sort of storage object one might wish to place their cinnamon roll, were it not so good, so pure, so sublime, so very beautiful. This particular roll is too graceful, too evocative of the divine, to be hidden away.
It was on this day, ten years ago, that The Onion published the headline that would stir the hearts and minds with this sugary little friend.
So was anyone gonna tell me that the two most formative pieces of media of my childhood came out on the same day or was I just supposed to figure that out by myself
Can you believe it will be a whole ten years this December, since Robert & Aaron shared their first kiss? 🫶🏼 Where has the time gone? I was 20 when that scene aired, and I'll be 30 on its anniversary. 😭
Ten years ago today, I posted my first MicroSFF story on Twitter. Four thousand stories later, I'm still writing them. Who'd a thunk it?
Many thanks to all of you, for reading, reblogging, liking, and commenting.
Here's that first story:

God finally stopped the planet to let people off, but hardly anyone left. We watched the sun speed away and felt very silly.

I have collected the most popular story from each year in a blog post here:

Danny shrunk as Clockwork ruffled his hair, the ghost taking years from his physical form as if shaking sand off his hair.
“Only five years.” Clockwork told him, smiling and materializing a mirror where Danny saw himself as he once was, if older in the eyes, the windows to the soul.
“I don’t understand, though,” Danny told him, “if I need all my powers, why go as a kid?”
“Because, regardless of how dangerous that dimension is, the most powerful people there have a soft spot for children. Now go,” he said and opened a portal, “cause some controlled chaos.”

I know Danny often gets de-aged for DPxDC purposes, but for this one I was thinking Naruto, though in the end the CrossOver is up to interpretation.
