Sexuality Headcanon: My default for all Elves is asexual panromantic but Maglor is still the horniest Elf

Gender Headcanon: So my general feeling on Elves is that they differentiate a lot less between sexes/genders in general, so gender is not usually very important to them beyond its reproductive function...so Maglor is a man (lower case M) but not very attached to that and probably does not really consider it part of his "identity" and is certainly not opposed to swinging more female when the mood strikes

A ship I have with said character: Daemags is the only Maglor ship I've published work for and while I know it's based basically on nothing but their having a similar hobby I still think it's fun...yes my dynamic for them is wholly my own invention; yes I'm enjoying it

A BROTP I have with said character: Maglor and Maedhros, ofc. Maglor so so looks up to his big brother and always has (and that makes it very hard for him to see when Maedhros perhaps should not be leading anyone anymore...) and I think Maedhros trusts Maglor most among all the Feanorians.

A NOTP I have with said character: There's no one I really HATE seeing him with, but I'm not into the cousin ships generally

A random headcanon: I'm about to be ungenerous. Part of the reason Maglor insisted on trying to raise Elrond and Elros was a desire to perform an act he saw as redemptive, after everything else he'd done. Maedhros saw through this and was not impressed.

General Opinion over said character: Sad, pathetic war criminal who wants to blame everyone but himself for his actions until there's no one left but him. Maglor is fascinating to me as having the biggest fall from grace outside of Maedhros. Maglor is one of the most well-positioned Feanorians in Aman, being already a renowned musician which suggests he was succeeding and comfortable, and yet he still chose to take the oath and in Middle-earth gradually loses more and more (he was a prince of Tirion and then he was the lord of Maglor's Gap and then he was living with Maedhros because they lost the Gap and then they were in Amon Ereb because they lost Himring and then they weren't welcome in any of the other Elven settlements because they had turned everyone against them and then he was alone and then he lost the final Silmaril and then there was nothing but him and his voice and the wind).

Maglor is someone who could have been celebrated across the ages as the greatest musician ever produced by the Noldor, who could have been legend and glory for the Elves, but instead he's a horror story the Wood-elves whisper to each other in the dark of midwinter, a memory that still brings a shudder to the Doriathrim of the Third Age, an example of the very worst of what Elvenkind can be.

I think his regret at the end of the First Age was genuine, and I do think it's really interesting to explore AUs where he lives long enough to attempt to do better and be a better person again, but in canon, it just came too late.

People generally assume if someone's lying about themselves they're trying to look better but sometimes they're trying to look worse. They attribute agency to where they had none, add intent to accidents, try to convince everyone that this is something they did instead of something that happened to them.

One of the big differences I've noticed from getting into Chinese dramas is how spoiled you get from gifsets of shows you've never watched. You see a gifset from an American show of one person cradled in another person's arms, pierced with multiple arrows and spitting blood, and suddenly you've been spoiled for a major character death. You see the same thing in a Chinese drama and you've gained a net zero information wise.

Did Danny want to live in Gotham? No, of course not. Did he have a choice? Nope. When does he ever?

Now, he may be technically homeless, but he's also technically dead, so human laws technically don't apply to him. So, naturally, he pics out an empty mansion so big even if the owners were to come home, the chances they'd run into each other would be really low, and settles in.

This 'mansion' happens to be Drake Manor. Look, Danny lived in nowhere Illinois and kinda had his hands full dealing with ghosts, a double life, bullies, and being actively hunted. He doesn’t know much about celebrities. If you tell him the name of someone super famous, it might sound vaguely familiar, but that's about it. What he knew was superheroes and vigilantes (some of them, okay, give him a break). That's about it.

So the name Drake in connection with Gotham didn't ring any alarm bells. He did some surface level research: the Drakes are dead, survived by their only child, Timothy Drake-Wayne, who now owns their house but was adopted by some other super rich guy called Bruce Wayne and doesn't live in it, leaving it empty for the foreseeable future.

It was the perfect place!

Danny didn't explore much, partly because he didn't care to and partly because he was too tired to from healing. He cleaned up after himself, used only his bedroom (chosen for being tucked way back and out of the way), the attached bathroom, and the theatre occasionally as a treat. He lived off of the provisions packed for him, ectoplasm and water from the sink.

Cut to, few weeks in.

Danny's got a new routine, he's taken his stitches out, and is still super fucked up, but a lot better than when he arrived. He hasn't been outside since he arrived, but ghosts don't need Vitamin D anyway. Is he slightly depressed? Maybe. But he's also dead, so, bigger priorities.

Tim is looking through his stuff for something or other, and it occurs to him he probably left it next door. He hasn't been to Drake Manor in months, but he sort of really needs this thing, so he sucks it up and borrows a car because like hell is he walking the several miles from this front door to that one.

He goes to his old bedroom, opens the door, and comes face-to-face with himself.

And Danny doesn't know what he's supposed to do in this situation.

Listen, Danny doesn't always make the best decision in the moment. It's a very normal flaw to have! So he tells who can only be Timothy Drake-Wayne himself when asked, that his name is Timothy Drake, and this is his house, and, actually, who are you and how did you get in?

This causes Tim to assume Danny is himself from another dimension who he accidentally dragged to his dimension by messing with the Time Stream to get Bruce back. Danny continues to accidently fuel this misunderstanding without meaning to.

(This is not helped by the fact that a DNA test doesn't disprove this. Danny's DNA is corrupted, but what Tim does get is identical to himself. This is how Danny finds out he was adopted, and how Tim, much later when misunderstandings are cleared, meets the identical twin brother he never knew he had.)

Farore = Courage = Link.

Because Din, in the hylian creation myth, created the physical world. Naryu then created the laws - gravity, time, etc. And Farore finally created life - plants and people.

Din created the body, naryu the mind, Farore the soul.

And the triforce and its wielders so perfectly reflect that.

Ganon is physical power, he is big and intimidating and he breaks things. He is cunning and determined, but that's not what he focuses on. He is might makes right.

Zelda is wisdom and cleverness. She is stall tactics and information and team work. She is a powerful mage with a spine of steel, but that's not how she'll win. She is the pen being mightier than the sword.

Link is courage and persistence. He is the wild card sneaking behind enemy ranks, always moving, plunging into terrifying situations head first. He's a phenomenal fighter with a keen wit, but that's not what will get him through his challenges. He is bravery not being the absence of fear but the triumph over it.

They sit in perfect parallels to each other.

And ganon is reborn through his body - his resurrection is immortality. No matter how low he is cast, as long as he has a body he can claw his way back. He can cling to his power, build it ever higher.

Zelda is reborn through the magic of her bloodline. It's the accumulated knowledge handed down for generations, the unique power she must master, the skills she must develop to survive and get her kingdom out the other side intact. Even her name, the knowledge of herself, is handed down from all the way from the very first. Her ancestors knowledge of her future presence, her stability, is what gives her the edge.

Link is reborn in spirit. He is not bound by flesh or blood. Just like his wanderlust soul he can reappear in any time or place. His variation, his unpredictability, is exactly how he fights. It's what makes him so hard to pin down.

Ganons need to build strength means he can't chase after link. Links impulsiveness means zelda can outwit him. Zeldas stationary predictability means she's an easy target for ganon.

But the other direction?

Fire melts ice, ice redirects lightning, lightning burns fire.

And that's the very essence of the triforce.

"I believe you have a guest master dick, master wally." Alfred said looking at the red head with a bit of judgment.

"You." The large meta with a goatee and flaming seemingly flaming hair. Motioned to wally with one of the kids who protested. "Well shit you are all here." He looked around the table. "Good I only need to do this once then hopefully. Quit fucking with the time stream." He ignored the throat clearing of the butler and the half raised from the seat posture of most of the dinners guests. "I'm tired of cleaning up all these timeline collapses you speedsters cause. So here is the deal." He sat the protesting kids down in to wally's lap. By phasing through the table. "I'm going to pull all your kids who would cease to exist from the now failed timelines and drop them all in your laps. And I don't care how many it ends up being. You want to cause me problems. You're getting all of yours 10 fold." As he backed out of the table. He pointed an accusing finger at the speedsters. "Do not try me! Oh and By the way. Congratulations on your engagement." He gave a rough pat to alfreds back. "Thanks old man." And then he vanished from sight.

The bats stared at the speedsters. "Care to explain that?"

"Who was that guy?"

"OH my god I'm a dad!" Wally said in shock looking down at his two kids. Ignoring Barry arguing with half the bat clan.
