5. Who gets jealous more easily

My gut feelings says Silver because he's much more intense with his emotions, but simultaneously I do feel like neither Silver or Sonic are jealous types. I think they'd be comfortable enough in their relationship to not feel threatened by other people interacting with their beloved: Sonic knows Silver is too honest to ever go along with such things, and Silver knows Sonic wouldn't play with people's hearts that way. But Silver does feel almost all his emotions at full force, whereas Sonic has a short fuse but is otherwise pretty regulated when it comes to his feelings, I feel like. So I think Silver would be the more likely one to get jealous about something, haha!

7. How quickly or slowly do the characters get together?

New Beginnings was 42 chapters and 195k words, written over 1.5 years. I feel like I am physically incapable of writing anything significantly less than that for any longfic that I work on XD So Sonic and Silver becoming an official couple in Run To You is going to take quite some time in the real world for me to write, haha! In-universe, I feel like it'd be quite a bit quicker: what I have planned takes place over a couple of days, maybe a bit more than a week at most (though that is still subject to change). Though, I feel like it might be a while after RTY before they've officially classified themselves as boyfriends and stuff. So I guess it'll be both quickly and slowly, depending on what the metrics for that are!

11. What are the characters' favorite physical features in each other?

For Silver, that'd be Sonic's blue fur and his emerald eyes, I think <3 It reminds him of the blue sky and the lovely sceneries of happy worlds! Like in the comic you drew, with the red of Sonic's shoes that got compared to apples as well. (Those panels live in my head rentfree btw I think about them regularly🤍💙)

For Sonic, I love the idea it's Silver's mane because it's just so fluffy and makes Silver look so handsome!! :> But I think Sonic would appreciate everything about Silver: his quills because they look cool and unconventional, his hands because of his PK symbols, how he stands and walks and flies... Sonic strikes me as someone who appreciates everything in something, even the little details nobody's noticed before <3 He'd mention features Silver didn't even know he has, haha!

Embarrassingly, I've only listened to a handful of new music this year if we're talking about album of the year in terms of stuff that was released in 2024 (though brat has been on repeat quite a bit recently).

But I think Genesis Owusu's Struggler is the one I listened to the most.

Well.... let me think of something that isn't already canon canon lol (from this ask game)

When she heard the news of that uhhhh.... something that escaped from the laboratories in Tenebris and that she was responsible for getting it back, you can inagine her becoming pretty furious. Especially bc it meant that she had to spent quite a lot of time on the Upperworld amongst humans and she really doesn't like humans.

So the first thing she did was go into the fight training rooms and massacre a few fellow Tenebrians that taught other Tenebrians in fighting (consensual of course).

She also kind of haunted a region in the Upperworld shortly after she got there. That's why travellers avoided going there after hearing of the rumors of demons terrorizing the villages and some villagers even decided to move. (You only get a little glimpse of that in the first chapter when the lady of a tavern tells Kendra to avoid that region.)

The bois!!!! The sons!!!! Yeah, I've really warmed up to this ship in the past few months🤍💙 I think Sonic and Silver go great together personality-wise, with fun aspects wherein they are alike and wherein they contrast each other. Be it as good friends or romantic partners, I think Sonic and Silver work out really nicely together! It definitely helps that Sonic Channel explained well how they interact with each other and what they value in each other, too. But I'd love it if we got more content of these two in the games; I want to see them interact with each other!🥰

Sonadow

It is a fact that Sonadow is pretty inescapable in the fandom. It's the most-shipped ship by far, and I think no other ship rivals the sheer amount of artwork and fanfics that exist for it. But I align myself with Beev's idea here: a lot of it can feel pretty OOC to me. I can't say anything about the 2000s of the fandom (or even a good part of the 2010s; I joined fandom quite late), so I don't know how things were written then, but the Sonadow stuff currently I see on e.g. Ao3 seems far too soft and cutesy regarding Shadow's personality in particular. It's funny, because I love soft and cutesy ship stuff! That is precisely my bread and butter XD And that is why I occasionally read some Sonadow fanfics: they very nicely cover what I enjoy reading. But an in-character Shadow often would not act like that in my opinion, haha. And also Sonic occasionally gets written quite OOC in turn, as someone that Shadow needs to coddle and protect. So on the one hand, I like the fics made of Sonadow because they align well with my interests (though I don't read enough fics to be able to generalise much here, I do have to be honest). But on the other, I think the fics can be quite OOC. For fanart I can't say much: none of my moots really reblog Sonadow stuff, and I don't go look for it myself either, haha. But to each their own; I certainly don't always write the most IC stuff either for ship fanfics🍀

Everything between Jayce and Viktor can really be traced back to their childhood inciting incidents and it’s killing me.

Jayce: a miracle saves him and his mom, forever imprinting him with the certainty that miracles do exist, they can be controlled, he can save his loved ones no matter how awful things get, if he can just be smart and bold and quick enough.

Viktor: he saw the horror of what Singed had done—of forcing a creature to live against its will, of the degradation and terror of being fundamentally changed. For a while he thought he understood Singed, when he decided that he was willing to throw away all his principles to survive his own body. But he didn’t, really. He didn’t understand. There was still a line he would not cross. He wanted to die human.

It’s fitting, then, and unspeakably tragic, that Jayce is the one who played Singed’s role in the end. Because you can’t ask Jayce to let a loved one go, when he knows there’s a miracle that can save him, the solution is right there, it will work if you will just let him try—and so he forces a change onto Viktor against his will. He traps him into the Arcane, takes apart and reassembles his body, strips him of his selfhood and humanity. All so that Viktor will live. Singed wasn’t talking about the desperation not to die—he was talking about the desperation not to lose someone you love.

And so Viktor is…changed. He lives, whether he wants to or not.

And so Jayce loses him anyway.
