The parallels in Juno and Peter’s mental state at the end of s1 and s4

Juno leaves Peter for multiple reasons one of which I believe was Juno not feeling like he deserves the happiness Peter would’ve given him.

Peter leaves Juno in the end because he doesn’t think he deserves to love when he is dedicated to his (kinda ex??) boyfriend from 20 years ago. I don’t know it it was for guilt reasons entirely, but I imagine he’s carrying that around all the time.

They’re both so weak for each other and I imagine that probably superseded Peter’s guilt for a while, kept him with Juno for that year, but it’s gotta eat away at you eventually. Juno saw the weakness and tried to suppress and destroy it until he accepted it in the end. I’m very excited for how this is going to play out in season 5

let me say hearing that section of ‘space girl’ at the end of this ep n thinkin abt how that song is associated with sara’s encounters with bishop is interesting in like. a fucked up way

the first two lyrics that are like a lil less yikes are “space girl, a punk-rock treasure/space girl, goodbye forever” for like. straightforward reasons. bishop had her kidnapped, she died, and he put her consciousness into a clone. she was his ‘punk rock treasure’ in that she was taken from a punk show. goodbye forever because she died. quite literal

but before that there’s “i think i could have loved her/in this world or another” which is like the fucked up part of bishop’s delusion of them bein partners, like he compares her to the biblical eve more than once. he’s constantly playing this song about her and how he had her stolen away to be his partner

it’s kinda fucked up man. but in an interesting way

What are dead man walking tornadoes? :O

it’s a multi-vortex tornado. i dont remember the tribe it originates from (i think it was cherokee), but there’s a native american legend…? saying? that goes “if you see a man in a tornado, you are about to die.”

the most infamous shot of a dead man walking tornado hit jarrell, texas in 1997

it did so much damage to the town it caused the scale that tornados are measured by, the fijita scale, undergo revisions, and it made anchoring buildings in the tornado alley region pretty much mandatory. (it took the entire town off the map. only those who had taken shelter outside of the town or in underground bunkers survived.)

two more examples of dead man walking tornadoes looking like a person are a tornado from 2011 that hit cullman, alabama

and a tornado from 1975 that hit xenia, ohio

edit: it has been brought to my attention that the native american “legend” part of this post was a rumor spread by a documentary.
