it would be SO fun if at the next season finale when whichever characters are still alive are fighting the next Big Bad, Sam pops back through the portal at Hilltop Road (after months of silence and being assumed dead) and casually deals with it. And then the next season is just about whatever Sam and the Archivist were up to in the other dimension.

A hero is only as good as his weapons, so make ‘em count (Patreon)
#Doodles#Original#Another idea smol and I are working on together :D Been a bit!#She came up with the concept on this one and I fell in love with it <3 She's very cool hehe#If you're familiar with the game Minit it has Something of a similar premise - not the same strict time pressure but yes on the time loop#Y'ever notice how in some games it seems like the wandering trader or traveling shop seems to come upon you rather than the other way around#:3c Hm ♪ Wonder how they'd know where you were gonna be :3c#The crux is that you play as the weapons shop owner and you're responsible for supplying the hero and his team with weapons!#Except the BBEG has gotten wise to how the hero keeps defeating him and it sick of it - so the shop owner is cursed to be in a time loop!#I love the concept <3 It sounds so fun to play in and there's still plenty of room to think about the mechanics and how it would be played#As well as the art design! :D#We threw around some character concepts - she's really into Baldur's Gate 3 at the moment so of course they had some influence in hers hehe#Only got the starting party for the moment but there are plans for a full team of 4 plus the shopkeep >:3c And various other NPCs lol#A lot of the gameplay would basically boil down to being a bartering simulator hehe ♪#Very RPG trade-this-for-that style quests - under a time limit! Hehe#Since it's the type of game that pretty much requires replaying sections time-loop-style it's all about how quickly you can trial and error#And then hightail it to where you need to be lol#I think we were also tossing around a nap mechanic to skip right to the time loop reset in case you mess up a run haha#I gotta get back to Majora's Mask at some point I swear#We still have a good bit of concept work to do on the art side of things - she's also been really into pixel art lately and I love pixel art#I also managed to pick up a full release of one of the RPGMakers :D So that's an exciting possibility!#I haven't learned most of its ins and outs yet but I do know About importing custom assets at the very least >:3c#Same with Novelty and I haven't done that yet either lol - all in due time! Ok, I know the theories and claws are flying about Eri running somewhere, and the Rewind Tomura theory, and is she about to get involved and rewind Tomura into Tenko.
But I really think it's not what it looks like because Eri's horn is really small right now. And not too long ago, in the story itself, she rewound Mirio and that used up her built up energy, right?
Even if she is close enough geographically to get to their battle, I don't think she has the energy built up to rewind Tomura ALL the way to a young, Tenko state.

WIBTA if I tried to get my friend's character killed?
🎾🐕 for recognition.
I (19M) and my friends (all 18-early 20s, 5 players incl. me but not the DM) play Dungeons and Dragons from time to time, usually once a month.
We just introduced a new player to the campaign, who we'll call Evan (21M). Evan's character seemed a little Mary Sue-y to me when she was displayed to the rest of us, but I don't usually have beef with characters based off of that and just chalked it up to having different tastes which isn't bad at all.
My character has been working very closely with the BBEG and has basically joined their side in their conquest to y'know. Do the thing that makes them the Big Bad Evil Guy. I was super excited to see what the BBEG was up to.
Well, this was our 8th session, and we were about to wrap up Arc 1. My character had finally reunited with the rest of the party at the BBEG's lair, and Evan's character was introduced as being a traveling assassin/Sorcerer that happened to recieve a tip that the rest of the normal party was here.
By the end of the session, Evan's character had spent a third of the game time monologing at the BBEG before slicing his head off. My character is currently half blind and mute thanks to Evan's character [she tried to kill my character and I didn't roll the best on my roll to move out of the way of her blade so now she's missing an eye, and Sara's character cut out her tongue as punishment for working for the BBEG while my character was knocked out], and was kidnapped by Evan's character.
I was and still am PISSED. I'm trying not to be, but it's been driving me insane. Evan keeps on bragging about how he killed the BBEG and keeps on revelling in the scene, and I'm the only one upset by it. He was the BBEG, and you KILLED HIM YOUR FIRST SESSION?! It just seems like a silly thing to be upset about, but it's been really upsetting me and me alone (everyone else saw the BBEG just as that, a maniacal mustache twirler). Everyone is making jokes and laughing, but it was really upsetting me.
My character is very fond of revenge. Anything she has to deal with, she tries to get even with anyone no matter the cost. One of our characters died back in Session 4, and my character ended up being the only one that learnt about his character's backstory: he's a prince, and his family would do anything to give proper punishment to his killer, and his character told mine what to do to make this happen before he died. I am the only one in-game with this information.
We're now on Session 16, almost done with Arc 2, and the current plan is [the DM mentioned we'd have to wait until Arc 3 to act on the prince's last words] to rat out Evan's character as being the killer [she isn't the killer, my character would be framing her, but the BBEG was the true killer and my character is loyal to him] and hope that she's persecuted. Most likely, this would end up with Evan's character dead, but I'm not sure due to how much he's been Mary Sue-ing all over the place [not a bad thing, but his character does virtually have no flaws that have presented themselves opposed to the rest of our party each with a glaring flaw that the DM made us all add in when we first started playing, and her stats are leagues beyond the rest of ours due to what her Sorcerer powers granted her].
I haven't told this to anyone, but I have asked the DM questions about how to execute this plan. I feel like it's going to be a real dick thing, but I think it's well within the realms of what my character would do and I honestly want to knock her down a peg. I don't know if the DM will let me do this anyways, and as I said I don't think Evan's character will even die because she's just got too good of stats so unless Evan rolls Nat 1s she's probably fine.
WIBTA for acting on this?
What are these acronyms?

great episode; some big story reveals tonight.
cassandra was possessed by some sort of rage spirit that caused her to mutate
that then spread around the mall, rampantly possessing wizards and making them buff
sidenote: the martial squad (fabian, gorgug, riz) did so well in this combat
fig's ancestral curse is from gilear; when she gives inspiration, profound bad luck happens either to her or her environment, accompanied by a sauce stain on her shirt. it is somehow related to the armor of pride that gilear used in the nightmare forest; maybe the curses melded? instead of dying when she gets too proud, fig tries to encourage others and is punished with bad luck.
the 'shatter-stars' are related to an unknown divinity that is somehow tied to the entity that lydia barkrock keeps trapped in her chest.
cassandra thought this entity was dead, and when she died in the time loop, she was 'summoned back to their side'. cassandra may be inaccessible for kristen if she's trapped by this entity.
we know galicaea and cassandra were sister goddesses that presided over the night (the moon, werewolves, patron of elves vs. mystery, night, doubt). perhaps the bbeg this season is an entity that presided over them?
it would tie into the night yorb; maybe the night yorb was a lesser being that gained power from cults in its name?
i could see the naming mechanic e.g. speak not of the night yorb if this was a dead god of some sort that transitioned into another state of being and then was brought back as a god.
the bad kids threw one hell of a party
the fact that aguefort is off on a jaunt means that all of the 'adventurous behavior' is being punished
also adaine doesn't have a job anymore if the synod is destroyed. girl's got to start getting all those elves from fallinel to pay for their prophecies.

i'm not a "vashwood was always canon" truther i think that's a reductive reading of the text (and in fact i think it's much more likely that the centrality of vash and wolfwood's relationship to the text as a whole snuck up on nightow and beaned him in the back of the head with 2x4)
however.
Tumblr media
[ID: A page from Trigun Maximum Volume 10, Issue 4, Vision of Death. Wolfwood throws himself forward and shouts "Spikey!!", then trips when a dagger hits him in the thigh. As he falls towards Vash, Vash shouts Wolfwood's name and drops his gun to reach out and catch him. Panels of Vash's outstretched hand and their shouting faces are shown as Vash narrates, "That is why after all was said and done, I wanted to share my tomorrows with him. Don't you agree... Wolfwood?" End ID]
that is why, after all was said and done, i wanted to share my tomorrows with him.
vash doesn't really want anything, over the course of trimax — he wants small, immediate things. for people not to die. for knives to stop. there's no indication of what he'd do after he's pulled the brake on knives' bbeg machinations.
for all his talk of blank tickets, we never really know where it is he wants to go — his blank ticket is a sentencing. there will always be a tomorrow, but there's no point planning for it.
he knows, before this, that what he wants will end up being torn from his hands. it's the first lesson of trimax. i was really happy with my life here.
AND YET! AND YET! he lets himself. for just a moment. want something. want a future. want a real, tangible future. it's the only thing he really wants.
don't you agree, wolfwood?

How To Start Writing A Book (So Says This Idiot)
I’ve been working on my queer superhero fantasy novel Byoldervine for a few years now, but it’s only been in the last year or so that I’ve really dedicated myself to my writing. Now I’ve gone from a fun few concepts to nearly 50K words and counting. So I figured I’d share my process to get here
1. Figure out your barebones concept
Before you can begin writing, you obviously need to know what you’re writing. At this point in time it can literally just be something like “A group of friends go on a quest through a magical fantasy world and meet loads of mythical creatures along the way”, it doesn’t even necessarily need a plot intact. You can be as vague or as specific as you like here, you just need that general idea
2. Figure out your characters
Your characters are the driving forces behind all internal conflict in your story and give your story heart; if you can pick between expanding your plot and expanding your characters, pick the characters. Start figuring out at very least the need-to-know aspects about your characters, such as their motivations and what’s holding them back from achieving them. We can flesh them out more and more as we go
3. Create the main external conflict
Often this takes the form of the main antagonist, but it can be literally anything from a curse the main character is trying to overcome, a series of misunderstandings, a goal they just don’t have the skills to achieve on their own, etc. What’s the thing that’s causing our main character problems they need to overcome?
4. Work out the beginning and end of your story
Where do you want your story to end? Do you want your characters to be living a life of peace and glory as revered heroes after they defeat the villain? Do you want them to be able to return to the life they once had with new friends and stronger powers than ever before? Do you want them to fail and experience the tragedy of their loss? Well if that’s where you want to end, they can’t have all that at the very start of the story, so that’s something that needs to change during the story. Congratulations, you just created a plot point!
5. Use your plot points to create a general plan
Now that you’ve got some ideas of what you want/need to happen during the story, you can make a timeline of these plot points. Say something like “Inciting incident, MC leaves village” or “MC trapped by BBEG” or “MC gains new weapon” or something like that. At this point things are a bit less vague because now you’re starting to see how the plot can go. Don’t forget to add things that the characters would go for, too, even if it’s not plot-relevant
6. Plotting
You’re ready to start plotting by now. For every chapter, write down a general objective of what needs to be achieved within this chapter. Each of these needs to be followed with bullet points of different, smaller plot points within the chapter to achieve this objective. This part I enjoy doing alongside actually writing so I can update it as I go, I’ll usually plot about five chapters ahead and then get to writing until I’ve used them all up
By this point, you’re ready to write! Best of luck and remember that it’s only a first chapter, all it needs to do is exist!

the thing about ludinus is that as the bells grow, he seems smaller & smaller. and that is, i think, the point.
since we met him in c2, hes felt untouchable and massive. undaunted. he looms unsaid over every story beat and when in c3 his name is finally uttered you can feel the earth shift. he is nigh undefeatable at the malleus key and even now he holds such incredible power that everyone must huddle in vasselheim like the calamitous days of old, and even then it has been implied he has a mole within.
and yet, he isnt half as intimidating as before the key. we see him stumble and lose allies, we see him shout in frustration like a boy when he used to be stoic in his ancient "wisdom". he fumbles for argument to the bells. he wont kill the bells, not yet, he refuses, when otohan and the weavemind and zathuda were happy to try. he needs to be proven right. hes prissy, hes annoyed, hes at his wits end, hes pathetic. he acts like a lost boy. and.... yeah. thats what he is. to himself. deep down. and it's finally seeping through to exandria's vision.
but, very notably, others always saw him as a boy. they've never stopped. we see it in lolth, hissing that he is a "petulant child". we see it in the unseelie, who give him so little time of day even as they plot together he begs for their help. we see it in how all the gods who destroyed aeor saw all mortals as children who could never learn.
in the wake of the calamity, ludinus knows those that "matter" will forever see him as a child, and a child he will always be in his head, that boy who saw the greatest city fall. he can never escape it. to exandrians he is the most powerful man alive but he is mind shatteringly aware how small he is to every other force in the universe. no one above will ever let him forget it and to him the best gift he could ever offer exandrians is to feel like more than a child beaten by a parent's martinet. when one of his followers told the bells "everything scales" he gave away ludinus's entire idealogy: if he was forced to feel small as the world burned, he will ensure his betters feel just the same. he is a speck of dust who wants wormholes devoured.
and so as the bells, children crushed by the parents in metaphor & reality, become known to all of exandria's world leaders, as they spearhead a war, as they use ludinus's own designs to feel more powerful, ludinus seems more & more childish, more pathetic, small. but in the process of seeing him this way they forget they walk exactly in his footsteps. he may be the bbeg, but the question of saving exandria & ruidis really isnt about him. it is about them. if you continue to walk in his shadow, at what point will you be hiding in it, pretending you're as small as you were, when your husband died, when you were thrown across the world to bassuras, when you were hung on a tree? will you have the ability to stop yourself before continuing his cycle? will you have the ability to stop all of this before the cycle just creates another ludinus? because he never did this because hes a handwringing villain. he did it because his back was broken by those who walked above him, and so he sought the sky, never looking below at those he crushed to leap.
it's time for the bells to jump.

Fresh SVSSS Fic Recs
Lotus Seeds by Anonymous
Upon transmigrating into the body of a xianxia antagonist destined to die after being gruesomely tortured, Shen Yuan decides he won't give in to the demands of the System to meekly accept his fate. Instead, he runs away. (WIP)
High Mountain, How I Long by Minimalistless
Shen Qingqiu, after enduring his trial, is placed into Luo Binghe’s custody at Huan Hua Palace.
Tarnished Gold by Prim_the_Amazing
Becoming emperor of the cultivation world will start with a first step as small and basic as becoming Head Disciple of Huan Hua Palace. For that, he must steal the position away from the current Head Disciple. Luo Binghe will sabotage, upstage, and completely and utterly best him.
The road to destroying everything and everyone who has ever wronged him, to becoming the highest ruler so that no one will ever have the right to control him ever again - it will start as simply as ruining Gongyi Xiao’s life.
Compared to everything else he’s already done, this should be easy.
-
Luo Binghe brings all his skills of cunning and brutality to bear on Gongyi Xiao, Head Disciple of Huan Hua Palace Sect. It… doesn’t go too well for him.
prophets on hold by nex_et_nox
Luo Binghe led the charge in the trial against Shen Qingqiu in < Proud Immortal Demon Way >. By all rights, the concept of a trial shouldn’t even be a glimmer in anyone’s eye until Shen Qingqiu’s blackened lotus has crawled his way out of the hell Shen Qingqiu tossed him in.
So why is Shen Qingqiu wrapped in immortal binding cables and locked away in the Huan Hua Water Prison?!
[or: Luo Binghe is precisely one (1) year late getting out of the Abyss. This does not put a halt on anyone else's plans.]
Starstruck by Camorra
His phone buzzes again and Shen Yuan scoops it up irritably. It’s another message from DemonHeart. DemonHeart: you seem to be a Luo Binghe fan DemonHeart: we can get you access to him Shen Yuan scowls. PeerlessCucumber: do I look like I was born yesterday? The response is instantaneous. A picture pops up on screen. Shen Yuan vaguely recognizes the woman that plays the drums, still in full stage makeup. Next to her, arm slung around her waist, is a face Shen Yuan would know anywhere. Luo Binghe, giving a wry smile to the camera. DemonHeart: he’s a fan, you know PeerlessCucumber: where exactly would we be meeting
Immortal Lamb Crusader Way by Mikkeneko Shen Yuan finds himself transmigrated into the last video game he played before his death -- the dungeon-delving, cult-building anthro hit game of the year, Immortal Lamb Crusader Way. Much to his dismay he finds himself in the role of the BBEG, the God of Death, He Who Waits -- Shen Qingqiu! Is there any way he can guide the protagonist, Luo Binghe, to level-up and victory without falling victim himself to the Lamb Crusader's blade? And why does he want to pet the Lamb's fleecy head so badly? He's not a furry, okay! He's not!
The Scum Villain's Second Save File by the-night-gods-moon (HelloMyNameIsAlias)
Shen Qingqiu and Shang Qinghua's shroom scheme falls through in a big way, and Shen Yuan is forced to re-transmigrate into another world that revolves around half-demons and messy, convoluted romances. Good thing he's an expert!
Can't we just skip to the end? by chaoticgoodlawyer When it was all said and done, Shen Qingqiu comforted himself that the end of the plot meant that, surely, all major events were out of the way. They were firmly in HEA territory and he could relax a little. Right? Right. A year and a half into his marriage to the protagonist, he cursed himself for a fool when he woke next to a Luo Binghe from ten years in the past. Meanwhile, a recently transmigrated Shen Yuan struggled to retain what little face he had when confronted with an overgrown, disturbingly gorgeous demon lord claiming to be his husband. Which is impossible, because he’s straight, the most hetero heterosexual to exist. System? A little help here?? Series
Celestial Afterglow by elanor_pamShang Qinghua, also known as Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky, stared flatly at what had once been a field boasting near sect-level Feng Shui alignment, and the drowned, bloated remains of the Sun and Moon Dew Flower cuttings that had sprouted within it. Their plan was now quite literally a wash. If only he could consult Cucumber Bro on how to save Cucumber Bro! But in the absence of Cucumber Bro, he could but rely on the one plot coupon the infamous Peerless Cucumber had ever applauded.
Tongfang by The Feels Whale (miscellea)
Shen Yuan is reincarnated as a cannon fodder character and eventual murder victim in one of the whodunnit arcs in Proud Immortal Demon Way. Things escalate quickly. Or: that one where young Luo Binghe’s career goal is ‘Bride’. --- Shen Yuan shut his eyes as a young man waiting to die in a hospital and opened them again as a wrinkly infant covered in substances best left unimagined. [Welcome to the System! The System is based on the concept ‘YOU CAN YOU UP. NO CAN NO BB.’ We hope to provide you with a rewarding experience. It is our sincere hope that during the course of your adventure, you can achieve your desire to transform a ‘Stupid Novel’ into a high-end and impressive classic. We pray for your happiness,] a mechanical and inflectionless voice announced over the general hubbub of the group of women handling him. Then it added, somewhat more worryingly, [Error.]
In Service by x_los
Emperor Luo Binghe goes looking for a Shen Yuan of his own. The one he finds has yet to fully ripen, but Luo Binghe is used to turning adversity into advantage.

I don't post on the CoS re.ddit anymore, but I occasionally read posts for the fun of it. Last night, I saw some posts talking about why Strahd is punished with Tatyana/the Dark Domain of Barovia. I've seen most of the arguments before. Someone said, "Oh, it's because he killed his brother Sergei." Someone came back at them with the claim that people kill their brothers all the time and have been doing so since time immemorial and (other than being the BBEG) Strahd isn't special.
Do people realize that RAW does not occur in a world where Cain slew Abel? The "primal eldest curse" which Claudius speaks of in "Hamlet" does not (or at least may not) exist in the same way as it does in our society.
Could it be that the story of Strahd and Sergei is that very cautionary tale?
I've been reading the story of "Bluebeard" with my sophomores as we finish our horror unit. Whenever I reach the ending, they are shocked because even though they've heard stories on the news and internet about men killing their wives, they never realized how old and primal a fear it is. In the article "Danse Macabre", Stephen King calls it, "the most horrible of all horror stories." The story of Strahd and Sergei may be a similar, archetypal warning, heeding against jealousy instead of curiosity or disobedience.
Imagine a party of PCs who, in their world of origin, have heard the myth of the vampire Strahd since they were infants. They know the story by heart... or do they? As they get swept up in Barovia, everything they know about the stories is called into question. The fairytale says that Strahd was a prince and a monster, but no one warned them he would be charming. The tales tell that he was locked away as a vampire forever, but no one prepares you for how big a prison Barovia is or how much control its prisoner has within its walls. After all, no one has ever returned from Barovia alive.

Me and my singular irl dndads friend were talking about how each player has a different characteristic and thing they are really good at. Then i said something and she really liked it so imma yap about it here. Reminder this is all my personal opinion.
ONE:
Will is gonna be a great DM for this campaign because (in my eyes) his characters play with other characters very well. Henry and Normal don’t give off center of attention, main character energy. Will’s characters are inherently VERY STRONG support characters. He can go from backing a character up to antagonizing them in one breath and that’s what makes a DM. He knows cues and moments so well and I’m just so excited to see season 3.
TWO:
I wish we say more of Norm and Taylor grow but in reality it was their freshman year of high school filled with trauma in a snapshot. The only reason we saw Scary grow so much was because her antagonizer was the BBEG. The only reason we say Link grow was because his growth was around morality and understanding the complexity of interacting with others in the big bad world, which directly impacts actions and interactions. Norm’s stuff felt a lot more internal and Taylor’s stuff was most just about not needing his dad which to him wasn’t really plot relevant.
THREE:
To me, and maybe this is about where my focus lies when listening, Beth and Matt has a tendency to lead scenes and whatnot. But it’s very clear in episode one, they are giving Anthony his time to shine and being “main character” and I hope that is the case cause I really like Francis, the little dweebie boy that he is.

What is the d20 meltdown about? 👀 If you don't mind getting into it
I literally don't know other than vague shit because I'm semi-avoiding spoilers. I'm making this nonrebloggable because we're in pure speculation country.
From what I have gathered, people are mad because I think the Bad Kids kill the Rat Grinders (another adventuring group that's been set up as their bitter, jealous rivals from the start) and they want...redemption or some shit? This is absurd to me like this party was set up as The Enemy from the start.
I am 4 episodes behind so I can't speak to this, and also I admittedly have a rather low opinion of the D20 fandom at large for a number of reasons despite being a big fan of D20 shows, but: I just by chance watched the scene that I would say counts as a point of no return for at least some the Rat Grinders. Like, actually some of the most villainous shit I've seen on this show amplified by how petty and small and purely fueled by jealousy the motivation is.
My guess as to why the D20 fandom is, per whispers on the wind/texting my brother who is caught up/talking to friends not avoiding spoilers, having a meltdown about it is because people have this idea of Brennan Lee Mulligan always making capitalism the BBEG, or occasionally religion or politics.
That is untrue. He does hate capitalism, and that is a theme in the (real-world-ish set) Unsleeping City, but ultimately the thing Brennan sees as the villain is a willingness to hurt, exploit, and dehumanize others for your own goals and benefit. Capitalism and religious corruption are two major examples of this, but in the end, the worst thing you can do is kill people out of a desire for power, or attention, or spite. What Brennan truly hates is what we on Tumblr call a tar pit.
Now. My much more pointed analysis? Kipperlily (and presumably the other Rat Grinders) are deeply entitled people jealous of the Bad Kids, who aren't as academically strong at times but who have leveled up through saving the world at least three times. How many people does killing rats so much that you hit the high levels of D&D save? or even help? Like congrats, you're level 14 from killing rats real good. These guys stopped the fucking Night Yorb. Of course they get the fame and glory, you entitled, self-absorbed little brats. Do you not understand how this fucking works? This is underscored by the fact that they've definitely murdered at least one of their own and almost certainly two (and a teacher to boot) at least in part to get at the Bad Kids.
And herein lies my feeling as to why the D20 fandom is really melting down. Because the loudest and most unpleasant contingent (which is probably why the server is, ultimately, shutting down all discussion channels) have always struck me as entitled self-absorbed little brats who demand precisely what they want when they want it (and also have the literary analysis skills on par with the 3/4ths of a stick of Monterey Jack cheese currently in my fridge) and they're seeing, in real time, that in this story, they're the villain.
But: I haven't seen the next 4 episodes and I could be getting the details of the plot wrong (not the first 15 episodes though, and I do not think the Rat Grinders are going to make the world's best Heel-Face turn in 3-4 episodes, and at this point they're so clearly the villains that to deny it is to admit truly earth-shattering levels of stupidity) and so: nonrebloggable. I'm hoping to catch up this weekend though on both the show and the hot goss, and if I'm right this will become rebloggable.
ETA: I am caught up making this rebloggable but I'm actually more confused, because as my posts indicated this was not even like, edgy. Like I assumed maybe there was a twist where the Rat Grinders appeared to regret their actions or something but failed to do anything about it, making this a little bittersweet? but no there literally was nothing, they went into the final battle still like hell yeah we're going to be the living worst.

It's interesting how everyone views Phoebe as a pure villain, when all we know about her is from the PoV of the other First Stoats.
The only unadulterated facts we can confirm are: She was arguably the quickest learner.
She wanted to speak to humans despite how the stoats sabotaged them.
She attacked Hester and ripped her jaw off.
Everything else is *opinion.* The other stoats didn't even want to talk to a single human, they only wanted to kill. They say Phoebe turned on them for power, but the other Firsts killed for power.
Right now, we don't know Phoebe's or Wenabocker's actual intentions.
Is it *probably* bad because this is a DnD based game and you need a BBEG? Sure.
But also is the family kinda running on half-cocked info again? Yup.

I know we are still processing the new OP with Kacchan looking at the camera and then him pushing Izuku onward and Izuku looking back (only at Kacchan, a detail a director has said was intentional apparently?!?)
But have yall thought about when at the half season mark, we get another new OP?
Have yall thought about what's going to be in THAT ONE??
I think it's going to be just after or soon after Katsuki actually 💀 and Izuku finds him.
I know the OP at that point will have a lot to do with izuku getting to Tenko (and it should) but there's also gotta be a bit of BBEG AFO and Shigaraki, and some damselfied Kacchan.
I can see there being some bits of symbolism like Kacchan being taken away, hurt, reaching desperately out for Izuku, or vice versa, maybe it'll look like that one cover of Izuku holding Katsuki in his arms?
(To be fair also I think there would be some of badass, Quirk evolved Kacchan rivaling AFO to represent their upcoming fight)(hopefully done so that it's not given away though bc that reveal was insane and I hope we keep that energy in the anime)
Or, maybe there will be a more hopeful note of kacchan emerging and then Izuku and him finally taking each others hand as they take on AFO. (Or both tbh)
They jam pack a lot of things in the OPs, so of course I think AllMight in his suit would be hinted at too, maybe even Stain
And I'm hoping Gentle and La Brava will get a shot.(bc I love them)
And let's not forget about togachako and the Todoroki fam.
Anyway this was starting as a post on how the second OP of this season( is it the last OP of them all?? ) could ruin us Bkdks even more, but it kind of turned into a general wishlist for the OP lol.
Again, though, I am eagerly awaiting what crazy symbolism they have in next OP for bkdk since losing Kacchan is a really big deal and literally causes Izuku to fly into another rage probably half way through the season, if the timing is looking correct. So it'd be fitting if they inject some of that emotion into the OP.

You know what I want to see?
An anime where we get the standard Big Bad Evil Guy standing up on a big rock/mountain/flagpole/monster corpse doing his big villain monologue and the main character and/or the rival and/or the BBEG's heroic mentor or family member, basically the two or three people really invested in the big bad are doing the standard 'just standing there and/or arguing back in dramatic fashion'.
But by at most about 30 seconds or so into the rant, the 3 or 5 or 10 other good guys we're expecting to just stand around doing nothing start wandering off and actually start building something.
And then through the rest of the monologue, every time we cut back to the heroes side, while the shot is always focused on the MCs, the background has all those side characters building this... I dunno, some giant laser cannon or big fuck-off piece of railway artillery and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger and neither the MCs nor the Big Bad acknowledge or even notice this.
Until the Big Bad finally finishes his monologue and immediately takes a big laser blast and/or artillery shell to the face and fucking dies.
For some reason I think that would be really funny.
